Sowing seeds for seedlings is carried out during the month of March, starting from the first days. Sowing dates are calculated as follows: when transplanting seedlings into the ground, the earth should warm up to +18 degrees, and the age of the seedlings by this moment should be 55-75 days.

The soil for sowing eggplant seeds should be loose, contain sand and clay. In the spring, humus can be added to the soil.

Seeds are preliminarily subjected to heat treatment in water heated to 50 degrees for 20 minutes and immediately cooled in cold water, and then it is necessary to process in a weak solution of potassium permanganate (if the seeds are not purchased) for 30 minutes. You can germinate the seeds in wet gauze before sowing, so shoots will appear faster.

Seeds should be planted in prepared individual pots or plastic cups with soil. Seeds are buried 1 cm into the ground, the soil is compacted, and covered with a film.

Eggplant seeds germinate at a temperature of 25-26 degrees for 10-15 days. During the growing season, eggplants need three single feedings: a mixture mineral fertilizers(10 g of ammonium nitrate and superphosphate and 3 g of potassium sulfate per 1 m 2 of plot area) and manure mixtures.

The first feeding of eggplants is carried out 10 days after transplanting into the ground.

The second top dressing occurs 20 days after transplantation, the third after the appearance of the fruit.
