How to make a sliding wardrobe from a built-in wardrobe. Homemade spacious cabinet made of chipboard

There is no doubt, you will do an excellent job with this task. The most important thing is to correctly make all the calculations of the parameters of the future cabinet, the instructions on how to make the cabinet yourself will help you with this. And, of course, where without zeal and patience, tune in to positive result- and you will succeed.

Step-by-step instruction

First, decide how you want to see your new wardrobe. If you have good artistic skills, try creating an image on paper, even better if it is a drawing of future furniture. To make it easier for you, you can use the example given in this article. Instructions on how to make a cabinet yourself will be described in detail here. The design of the furniture will be such that to create it, you will need a wall niche in your apartment. This type of furniture is very relevant, since the built-in wardrobe is roomy and does not take up extra space in the apartment.

Figure 1. Marking the vertical plane of the front of the cabinet.

The material for the future cabinet should be selected in accordance with the length and depth of your niche, the height of the ceiling is also taken into account. For this example, a chipboard with a laminated coating is most suitable. In an abridged version, this construction material known as chipboard. In order to build a cabinet, you will need a material that is approximately 16 mm thick. Construction market offers chipboard of various sizes, in this case 600 x 2440 is most suitable. The material of this size is convenient for the manufacture of all elements of the future cabinet.

What is the built-in wardrobe? First of all, these are doors, which are a furniture facade, then a pair of load-bearing racks, shelves and basement elements. On the this example the simplest option for assembling a cabinet with a solid facade will be described.

In order to make the cabinet yourself, you will need to go through the following stages of work: evaluate the niche, mark the plane of the facade of the future cabinet, mount vertical racks, make and install the roof, shelves, cornices, plinths and doors.

In addition, you will need to prepare the following tools:

  • electric planer;
  • level;
  • screwdriwer set;
  • roulette;
  • pencil;
  • drill;
  • grinder or sandpaper for grinding;
  • self-tapping screws;
  • glue;
  • sheets of chipboard.

Niche and its dimensions

In the example given in this article, the size of the niche will be 3000 x 600 x 2650 mm. The length is 3 m, the depth is 0.6 m, and the ceiling height is 2.65 m.

Cabinet front plane

A very important stage in the assembly of the cabinet is the marking of the vertical plane of the facade, look carefully at fig. 1. The fact is that the installation of all supporting racks in a vertical position is carried out on the basis of this markup.

When dimensioning the front plane, keep in mind that when installing vertical posts, gaps should not form along the walls.

Figure 2. Marking the farthest point (in the upper right corner).

To avoid this, select the stove as much as possible right size. On the example a 60 cm wide slab is shown. In this regard, it is necessary to mark the farthest point on the proposed plane. In order for you to correctly understand how to act, pay attention to the following figure. 2.

In the above example, the same point is marked with right side upper corner. To all remaining points of the rack vertical position are sawn and reduced in width at the same time. In order to make it convenient to mount the vertical racks, you should draw a projection of the plane of the future cabinet in the form of a straight line. To do this, you can use a pencil or chalk. The niche indicated in this example has a length of 3 m. It is very important that the floor in the room is as flat as possible (in order to make sure of this, you should use the level). The next step is to install the racks.

Back to index

Vertical racks and their installation

Rack installation starts at the lowest point on your floor. Use the level to find it. In the case of a not perfectly flat floor and with the lowest point, for example, located on the left side, the installation of racks must be started from this place. The cabinet shown in this example will have a roof that is separate from the ceiling, since the length of the main plate is 2440 mm.

Markings should be applied to the floor, along which you have to set the verticals. To simplify the task, use the one shown in Fig. 3 drawing.

Here you can choose one of two ways:

  • calculate the pitch of the racks, while taking into account the width of each door of your future cabinet;
  • equal distances between the uprights in this case should be set "by eye". Then the doors are sawn at the same width. In the example given in this text, the cabinet will not have exactly equal distances between upright racks.

Figure 3. Scheme of mounting vertical racks.

The fact is that you have to install the doors with the help of hinges, and they will make it possible to completely cover the edges of the racks with a door. When installing doors on intermediate posts, it will be necessary to use other hinges that will cover only a third of the vertical post. Thus, the distance between the second and third posts you will get 8 mm more (an example is shown in the previous figure).

According to the cabinet assembly example given in the text, the next step is to install a vertical rack from the left edge. The vertical should be placed on the floor, using the leveling method, exclude its protrusion beyond the facade plane. To do this, it is worth arming yourself with an electric plane and a level. The rack must be level on both sides. Next, draw a line on the wall, which should correspond to the size of the end of the rack, and then temporarily remove the vertical rack. A horizontal line is drawn along the entire length of the niche from the previously drawn line using a level. Thus, it is necessary to adjust each individual rack of the cabinet, focusing on the original height.

The next stage of work will be the installation of finished racks. To do this, you will need corners (it is better to use chrome). A minimum of 5 elements must be used for any vertical rack. With a couple of corners, the vertical is screwed to the floor, the rest will be needed for fastening to the wall. For correct placement corners mark the location of the future shelves of the cabinet. The corners should be screwed to the panels using self-tapping screws 3.5 x 16. Installation to the wall is carried out with self-tapping screws 3.5 x 16, plastic dowels 6 x 35.

Fabrication and installation of the cabinet roof

On the example of this text top part structures will be made of two elements. The roof measures 800 x 2958 mm and the additional element will measure 200 x 2958 mm. Thus, the thickness of the visor will increase. The design of the roof of the cabinet shown in fig. 4, as you can see, has an arcuate visor. Its radius is 12.7 m.

Figure 4. Construction of the cabinet roof.

In order to cut the arc, you will need a jigsaw, all uneven surface areas should be carefully sanded. The top of the cabinet is almost finished, next it should be used as a template in order to make the overlay. Using PVC edges, the edges of the main element and the additional lining are glued.

The radius edges of the parts should also be glued. For this you will need PVC edge and glue (you can use liquid nails glue). The glue should be applied in a strip of about 1 m. In the next step, the edge should be glued to the end of the panel. Proceeding in this way, paste the rest. Using a piece of cotton fabric, the edge is gently smoothed to the plate. Next, using self-tapping screws 3.5 x 35, it is necessary to pull off the cabinet roof and additional panel.

After you have completely prepared the roof for installation, proceed with its installation to uprights. To attach the roof to each rack, you will need two corners. In this case, the distance between the edge of the corner and the front edge should not be less than 16 mm.

The closet plays an important role in any interior. It is not surprising that stringent requirements are imposed on it: not to take up too much space, to be roomy, to have a sufficient number of shelves and drawers. Models on the market do not always fully satisfy individual wishes.

It can be even more difficult for owners of non-standard layout apartments to choose an option that fits into the room. In this case, you can order a cabinet from specialists who will take into account all the wishes for the design and internal content.

Unfortunately, this option is not for everyone. Then best solution problems will be the use of one's own hands and ingenuity, because it is not difficult to assemble a wardrobe on your own!

Preparatory stage

Each room has its own type of construction, so you should familiarize yourself with the main ones.

Cabinet with a closed facade - a direct model with hinged doors. To open them, you need to provide extra space, do not forget about this if you are making a closet for the hallway.

The cabinet with an open facade has no doors, and its contents are in plain sight. It imposes certain requirements on the order.

The wardrobe doors are mounted on a rail mechanism and open, moving apart. There are designs with an upper and lower rail, which one to choose is a matter of taste.

Ideal design for a built-in wardrobe

The corner cabinet fills the corner. Suitable for a room of any size, if it is square or close to it.

Having chosen a suitable design, you can begin to create a project for the future cabinet. Since this piece of furniture has been serving for more than one year, it is worth considering what functionality may be required of it. It is better to build a drawing on whatman paper, entering all measurements there.

Decide on the location and dimensions of the cabinet. If a niche is provided in the room, it is ideal, but if it is not possible to build it in, choose a place where neither he nor he will interfere with anything.

think over internal filling: the location and number of shelves and drawers, their dimensions, additional elements like mezzanines or interior lighting.

Don't Forget Your Choice exterior finish, decorations. The colors "oak", "alder", "beech" are the most popular today. And you can choose wood with interesting pattern and leave the native pattern. Get creative, decorate the doors with a carved pattern.

materials

The material can be natural wood, plywood, MDF or chipboard are all used by furniture manufacturers.

The tree is environmentally friendly, does not require additional decorations, it is convenient to use. wooden cabinet will last more than one year and will look solid and impressive. Perfect Choice for the interior in a classic style.

Plywood is glued sheets of veneer (birch or trees are used). conifers). This cheap one practical material suitable for the manufacture of almost any furniture. Best to choose laminated plywood(FOF brand).

Chipboard ( chipboard) is the cheapest and most common option. When assembling your own closet, they usually use it. Short-lived.

A self-adhesive melamine film is also useful for processing the side faces.

The rod diameter must be at least 22 mm. The easiest way is to buy it in a specialized store. You can also buy pens there.

Instruments

  • Ruler, tape measure, pencil and others for taking measurements and building a drawing.
  • Level.
  • Electric jigsaw or hacksaw for cutting.
  • Screwdriver or drill and screwdriver.
  • Glue.
  • Ratchet key.
  • Iron for gluing edging film.
  • Accessories. Each door opening mechanism has its own set.
  • Confirmations for cabinet from chipboard is better buy a length of 7 cm with a diameter of 0.5 cm.

Working process

First of all, measurements are taken and a drawing of the future cabinet is built. The final result depends on a correctly drawn up drawing, so approach it with all seriousness.

Making cabinet doors with your own hands is not difficult, the main thing is to correctly calculate the dimensions. If its vertical height is less than the height of the opening, the door will not completely close it, and if more, it will not fit. Finding the horizontal dimension, we must not forget about the fastening elements: they will add a few millimeters to it. The width of the doors should be ~3 mm less than the opening.

Now you need to mark the placement of the mounting bolts on the sawn parts and drill all the holes.

The assembly begins with the installation of the bottom and attaching the walls to it. Make sure that assembled cabinet fits into the allotted space and other furniture will not interfere with the opening of the doors. If you are making a wardrobe, guides are installed at this stage.

The location of drawers and shelves is outlined, shelf holders and guides are installed. They must be strictly parallel so that they do not skew.

It is time to install the upper shelves and roof. A gap of ~ 7 cm is left between the ceiling and the roof for the installation of confirmations. Fasteners are made by hand, finally tightened with a ratchet.

The side shelves are attached to 4 confirmations (two on each side), in some cases they use dowels (small wooden cylinders). One end of the dowel is inserted into the wall of the cabinet, a shelf is put on the other.

The last step is to install the doors. Before installation, attach the handles with an outward bend. For sliding doors is especially important correct installation mechanism. Don't rush, be careful.

It's time to start final touches. Process slices decorative film, decorate the facade. Put mirrors, interior lighting and other elements.

Tricks and nuances

lean on existing schemes cabinets, designing your own.

A corner cabinet requires more care in design and assembly than a straight one, so it may be too complicated for an inexperienced person.

If you do not have enough experience, it is better to entrust the cutting of parts to the master. His hand will not tremble, and the cuts will be even and neat.

In order not to get a piece smaller than necessary, consider the thickness of the saw. The wall thickness must be at least 18 mm. Otherwise, the strength of the structure will be insufficient.

When working on the drawing, pay attention to the curvature of the floor. If the floor is not level, gaps may appear between the doors. To avoid this, adjust the mounting canopies for the swing mechanism, and change the height of the wheels for the sliding mechanism.

Guides for sliding doors should be parallel. Be very careful when marking and installing guides for drawers and shelves.

Drill holes for confirmations symmetrically. Use a drill of the correct size. The exact number of confirmations depends on the number of parts. Confirmates are covered with plugs to match the color of the structure.

Installation of the mirror begins with the installation of a seal around the perimeter. The film is glued to the slices of chipboard with an iron. Smooth it with a cloth, pressing it as tightly as possible. The edges can be trimmed with a regular knife.

Having decided to update the interior of your home, you should think about changing furniture items.

Every home should have roomy clothes.

It can be bought ready-made individual production or do it yourself.

The distinctive features of such an item will be its perfect match with the style of the house and the expression of your taste.

A variety of improvised materials on the market opens up endless possibilities for consumers. You can assemble furniture with your own hands from:

  • natural wood;
  • lining;
  • drywall;
  • laminate;
  • MDF or chipboard;
  • chipboard.

The material chosen will depend on appearance products and their durability.

Wood or lining are the most popular materials. They differ:

  • naturalness;
  • aesthetics;
  • convenience in work;
  • long service life;
  • reliability.

Important. In wet rooms, furniture items made of wood may peel or warp. Therefore, they must be impregnated with a water-polymer emulsion or hot drying oil.

Drywall light and easy to use. It is easily cut, sawn and processed with various improvised tools. But drywall constructions are not very durable.

Laminate, chipboard, MDF- resistant to sudden changes in temperature. They are perfectly sawn, do not crack and have an impeccable appearance. Color palette These materials are striking in a variety of shades. Thanks to this, the furniture fits into different stylistic directions.

Width and Depth

Before starting work, it is necessary to carefully calculate the dimensions of the product. Based on these miscalculations, a drawing is created. standard sizes are:

  • optimal depth the product is 60 cm. In such a cabinet, clothes hangers, drawers, laundry baskets will fit. For wardrobes with sliding doors, the depth should be increased by 10 cm;
  • minimum width Products are calculated on an individual basis. Most often it is 40 cm. Here it is worth starting from the size of the room and personal preferences;
  • height wardrobe should be 240 cm. But if desired, it can be increased or decreased.

Drawing

The main feature of any piece of furniture should be its ergonomics and good capacity. To make it much easier to assemble the cabinet and calculate required amount consumables, it is necessary to draw its preliminary sketch and diagram.

For cabinet furniture it is necessary to build the back, side and top walls. And for embeddedside walls and the top cover is not needed. The cabinet is mounted directly into a niche, and shelves and other elements are attached directly to the walls in the room.

Cabinet drawing for outerwear drawn up with a ruler, pencil and paper. If you draw it by hand, it will take a decent amount of time.

Advice. To create a drawing, it is easier to use special programs on a computer.

Tools and materials

For the manufacture of the cabinet, it is necessary to prepare the following instruments:

  • jigsaw and drill with a perforator;
  • screwdriver;
  • miter saw;
  • building level;
  • hammer, tape measure, square;
  • hacksaw for metal;
  • construction knife.

As for materials, you can cut it yourself or order it from a furniture company. The second option is more convenient.

Advice. When ordering an LSDP cut, you get the design and quality of the material you need in one place, and you get sawn and trimmed parts that are completely ready for assembly.

All that remains for you is to mark the places for holes, for fastening fittings and fasteners.

How to do at home?

After all preparatory work, you can begin to manufacture and assemble the frame. If it's about built-in furniture, then its assembly begins on one side and moves in order:

  1. First, the shelves are attached to the side and back wall with the help of corners.
  2. Next, a rack is mounted, which is attached to the wall and to the installed elements.
  3. After that, the remaining shelves are mounted to the walls and the rack.

Important. When assembling the cabinet frame, it is necessary to strictly follow the drawing in order to avoid inconsistencies. Make sure that there are no distortions during the assembly process.

To assemble the built-in wardrobe you will need confirmations and dowels. With the help of confirmations, they are attached to each other individual elements. And dowels are used to give the structure special strength and reliability.

For drilling holes for confirmations, a drill with a diameter of 5 mm is used. The back wall can be attached with small nails or a construction stapler.

Internal shelves and walls can be fixed furniture corners. Corners are fastened with self-tapping screws. Confirmates are used to give the structure increased strength.

Advice. It is better to assemble the cabinet at the place of its installation.

The final stage after assembling the frame is the internal arrangement of shelves, drawers, rods for clothes. It is also worth taking care of competent internal lighting.

Finishing

Finishing furniture, made by hand, directly depends on the selected materials.

A product built from MDF, chipboard or natural array, does not require additional finishing. But drywall products should be decorated to give aesthetics.

Internal surfaces of the cabinet painted to match the walls. This visually enlarges the room. And to do piece of furniture bright spot, can be applied saturated color paints. Plasterboard shelves pre-primed and glued vinyl wallpaper or self-adhesive tape.

As for doors, they are most often ordered ready-made from chipboard sheets or mirrors and they do not need additional finishing. And the side walls can be primed, puttied, pasted over with a film, wallpaper or painted with resistant paint.

Built-in wardrobe design features

Before directly considering the possible locations of the built-in compartment, it is worth paying attention to the differences between the built-in and a separate wardrobe. They can consist both in the method of installation and in the design features. A built-in wardrobe is always designed and manufactured for a specific part of the room. At the same time, often parts of the interior act as structural components of furniture, so it is almost impossible to move such a cabinet to another place. A simple cabinet does not have these features.

There are several ways to embed a wardrobe in the design of a room, depending on its configuration:

  • Niche installation is the most economical option requiring the least effort. The niche available in the room is an almost ready-made wardrobe, which only needs to be equipped with shelves, fittings and doors. At the same time, the top cover, bottom, side and rear walls are already available. Such a model will look good in the bedroom or in the hallway, which have technological niches in their design.
  • The next method is the installation of a built-in compartment along the blank wall of the room. It is in many ways similar to the first, only a part of the room the width of a blank wall acts as a niche here. This method is often used in small apartments when part of the living room needs to be turned into a dressing room, while minimizing living space. If you properly decorate or finish the doors that make up the front surface, the volume of the room can even be visually expanded.
  • Corner wardrobes occupy an intermediate position between built-in and cabinet options. On the one hand, they are designed for the place in which they are going to be installed, and cannot be used in another room without serious processing. On the other hand, they often have signs of hull counterparts - walls, top cover and bottom. Most often, this solution is used when furnishing hallways, as well as in living rooms where a blank wall adjoins the doorway.
  • The original way can be considered the transformation into a closet small pantry, which are often found in apartment building projects. It is enough to provide it with a sliding door and correctly mount the shelves - and the mini-dressing room is ready. Usually, hallways in apartments equipped with pantries are remodeled in this way.
  • There are also exotic varieties of built-in wardrobes, most often developed by professional designers. These include radial, in which the front surface is curvilinear, models that are inclined in the vertical and horizontal projection of the plane. Due to the complexity of their design and the need for special installation skills, it is not advisable to consider the construction of such options in our article.

Mounting cabinets with curved surfaces requires mastery of complex skills A dark closet can turn into a cozy closet
Maximum use of free space in the hallway
Part of the room is used as a dressing room
Installing a cabinet in a wall niche saves a lot of space

When choosing a place for such a design, it is worth considering a number of nuances:

  • The compartment located in the hallway is designed to store outerwear, so at least one appropriate section must be provided. Better, of course, two - for casual wear for the season, and for clothing of other seasons. Another section should contain shelves for small items - umbrellas, gloves, bags. At the bottom, there should be compartments for shoes. All sections should be made private so as not to expose the content to the public. At the same time, one of the doors should be equipped with a mirror, preferably a full-length one, in order to be able to take a look at yourself before leaving the house.
  • The design, located in the living room, also has its own characteristics. Basically, these cabinets are used to store light clothing, personal items and documents, dishes and household appliances. Therefore, its sections must have a large number of a variety of shelves, as well as fittings that facilitate the storage of things and access to them. Often the central section is made open, and its shelves are designed to install a TV and other multimedia equipment, visually breaking the cabinet into two halves. At the ends of the side sections, small open shelves are often equipped to store all kinds of little things.
  • The bedroom usually stores underwear and bed linen, so open shelves in the closet is not worth designing. But the door, of course, is better to equip with a full-length mirror.
  • The wardrobe in the nursery should have signs of versatility. On the one hand, it will store clothes, on the other - toys, books, and other personal items. Therefore, it is worth providing for open sections. At the same time, it is quite possible that the coupe will take over the function furniture wall or will complement it.

The design of the cabinet allows maximum use of the volume in height, since its dimensions are limited only by the distance to the ceiling.

We draw up a project

Having decided on the place where the built-in wardrobe will be located, first of all, you will have to take up not the tools, but paper and pencil and draw up a project. You should draw a sketch, taking into account the external dimensions, which should correspond to the dimensions of the niche or room where the cabinet will be installed.

Based on the external dimensions, we determine internal design in accordance with the characteristics of its further operation. The sketch shows the number of shelves and sections, the location of additional fittings and decorative elements. When determining the exact dimensions internal partitions the thickness of the panels must be taken into account. The front cut of the inner shelves must be at least 100 mm from the place where the doors are fastened.

The size of the doors themselves and the number of wings is determined by the overall dimensions of the cabinet and the number of sections in it. Too wide sashes easily come off the guides during operation. It is considered optimal to consider the width of the doors, not exceeding 600-700 mm.

Materials suitable for making a cabinet:

  • The most commonly used materials are laminated chipboard (chipboard), MDF (fine sawdust), fiberboard (wood fiber board), which are used to assemble all types of furniture. They are versatile, practical and durable materials sufficiently resistant to external factors and easy to handle. Produced by the industry in the form of sheets different sizes, which allows cutting with minimal losses. A wide range of colors will help fit the compartment into the design of any room. The most commonly applicable for installation and the most practical is to recognize laminated Chipboard thickness 16 mm medium or high density, which is best suited in terms of price - quality ratio.
  • Wood for mounting a wardrobe is less suitable, as it is more difficult to process, it easily absorbs moisture and warps. When using wood, you will have to decide on its processing special formulations to improve moisture resistance and visual appeal.
  • Some craftsmen use drywall to assemble built-in wardrobes. Of course this finishing material It has a number of advantages, but it is of little use for the design of a built-in compartment. It is a heavy and brittle material, for the manufacture of load-bearing structure wide metal profiles, in connection with which the partitions have a large thickness. The option of using drywall for installation practical furniture should be excluded.

As a material for doors, you can use laminated chipboard, ready aluminum structures with mirrors and plastic structures with pseudo mirrors.

We purchase components

After the drawing is ready, based on the available dimensions, a complete list of cabinet parts with their dimensions should be compiled. This is necessary so that when placing an order with a company supplying materials, immediately sawing. You can, of course, make it yourself, but this process is not easy, and the quality of parts made on a stationary machine is much higher.

There is no standard that defines the dimensions of a laminated chipboard sheet. These parameters are determined by manufacturers depending on the characteristics of the equipment. Information about the dimensions and number of parts is best summarized in a single table to facilitate work, below is a sample. It is very important to provide a mark in the table about which edges should be laminated and which should not. It is possible to order lamination of all edges, but this service can significantly increase the cost of products. Therefore, it is sufficient that only the end parts of the front edges are covered with laminate. At the enterprises engaged in the supply of materials, there are special programs that allow you to cut a sheet with minimal losses.

The table will help to systematize the quantity and size of the required materials

There is time to check the list while the material purchase order is being processed. necessary tools and if necessary, get those that are not available:

  • Screwdriver with cross and hex bits.
  • Drill with drills for wood and a confirmed drill for holes for euro screws.
  • Construction level.
  • Square.
  • Two angle clamps.
  • Wood saw.
  • Conductor for perpendicular drilling.
  • The mallet is wooden or rubber.

List of fasteners and special fittings

Depending on the chosen method, the following fasteners may be required for mounting the elements:

  • Confirmates (Euroscrews) 70x5 mm in size and plugs for them for mounting walls and shelves.
  • Nails or self-tapping screws for fastening fittings and rear wall if provided by the project. Mounting using a construction stapler is possible.
  • Dowels and PVA glue.
  • Adjustable or non-adjustable legs.
  • Metal furniture corners if fastening with their help is provided for by the project.
  • Roller guides for drawers, if any in the project.
  • Bars for hangers and holders for these bars.
  • Guides and rollers for fastening sliding doors.
  • Sliding door and drawer handles.

It is advisable to use special fittings:

  • Instead of collecting drawers yourself, you can buy them assembled, along with guides in a specialized store.
  • Retractable grids and baskets, in which it is very convenient to store a variety of things.
  • Holders for ties, belts, trousers for convenient storage trousers.
  • Retractable hangers can be used instead of rods, especially in projects where the size of the sections is small.
  • Pantograph (clothes lift) - very convenient for storing clothes in the upper part of the closet.
  • Special shoe racks for storing shoes.

After all the details of the future cabinet are purchased, you can proceed to the assembly process, which consists of several stages.

Measurements of the room and calculation of the dimensions of the closet

This tool simultaneously allows you to refine the accuracy of horizontal and vertical elements. building structures. The easiest way to take measurements for cabinet furniture. In this case it is enough to take minimum dimensions and subtract a few centimeters to make a small margin.

It is much more difficult to accurately fit the built-in wardrobe. With your own hands, you must make at least three measurements for each meter of length (height). If excessive defects are found, the surfaces must first be leveled.

Important! In any case, the free opening of the nearest window (door) blocks is checked. If necessary, install sash limiters. You should make sure that the cabinet will not close the only light switch in the room, will not be too close to the ceiling or wall light.

Preparation of design documentation for the creation of a do-it-yourself cabinet or built-in wardrobe

These programs are available on the official websites of trade enterprises. They can be used completely free of charge. Anyone can insert their own measurements. Guides are selected automatically, designed for loads determined by the size of the canvas and the material.

With it, you can make quality project even without previous design experience. Even a beginner will quickly master this tool using the following simple algorithm:

Drawings of parts can be given to a specialized workshop, or used for manufacturing separate parts sliding wardrobe with my own hands. Electronic project convenient for inspection different points. In it, you can quickly make various changes, taking into account additional requirements. The generated list is used to purchase the necessary components and parts.

Important! Quite large scraps from chipboard sheets and other materials remain in the workshop. It is better to take them with you to make it easier to correct errors during the installation process and perform repair operations in the future.

Choice for wardrobe rollers, materials, equipment and other components

The drawing shows the main components of a typical design:

  • The lower and upper guides for the wardrobe are attached to the floor and ceiling of the room (the bottom and the cover of the furniture, respectively).
  • In this example, the main load is on the lower rollers. But there are also models with a hanging canvas.
  • The side profile "C" additionally functions as a handle.
  • The sealing elements are made of silicone, which ensures a secure fixing of the glass.
  • The middle transverse elements strengthen the power frame, separate the individual elements of the canvas from different materials.

So that the canvas does not move back after hitting the side part structure, a special locking element is installed inside the guide. It can be used to determine which door needs to be adjusted from a certain side.
First, the shlegel (6÷8 cm) is separated to free access to the adjusting screw. The top hole is used during the assembly process for tightening fasteners.
A hex wrench is used to adjust the position of the roller. In this example, the master uses #4.
Clockwise rotation raises the door. In the opposite direction - lowers.
These procedures are performed so that when closed, the canvas fits without gaps in the lower and upper parts. After obtaining the desired result, proceed to the next stage.
The photo shows a locking element made of reliable sheet steel with an arrow. When the roller moves to the middle part, the spring rises up, preventing it from moving backward. If this part is shifted to the central axis of the wardrobe, a gap is formed.
Moving an element is not easy. This is prevented by the ends of the springs, which rest against the bottom of the guide rails. They select a suitable piece of plastic, a board.
With such a device, press the stopper. Then move the node in the desired direction.
A torn off brush can be tucked into the bottom hole, or glue can be used for a hard mount.

Direct mounting direct or corner cabinet do-it-yourself is no different from assembly standard furniture. In the same way, the bottom, walls, and lid are first installed. Then to power frame attach internal and external shelves.

For your information! It is convenient to order a sliding system for a sliding wardrobe after the installation of the case. In this case, it will be possible to make an accurate measurement.
