How to sew up a house with siding slopes on a metal profile. Rules that can't be ignored

Such facing material as siding is often used in the decoration of industrial buildings and private houses. If in the first case they turn to specialists, then in the second, do-it-yourself window siding is welcome - as a way to save money and carry out all the work as soon as possible.

The popularity of siding is ensured by both ease of installation and low structural weight, as well as low cost.

Advantages of siding in the design of slopes

Siding is a ribbed coating with a corrugated surface - a material that is very decorative and interesting in appearance, as well as qualitatively protecting the sheathed surface from external influences.

Most often for sheathing the whole house and window slopes use metal, either. Steel sheets are heavier, more demanding to maintain and more expensive. Therefore, the palm can be given vinyl siding because it:

 • resistant to aggressive external influences and unfavorable microclimate (frost, moisture, excess heat);
 • easy to care for and does not accumulate dust and dirt on its surface;
 • durable, practically not subject to aging and throughout the entire operational period retains wear resistance.

Work on window cladding with these two types of material is carried out almost identically.

Choosing the necessary tools and accessories

Before starting work, the necessary fittings and tools are prepared. Since finishing window slopes from the outside involves cutting siding panels, you will need the appropriate tool (any of the suggested ones that is convenient for you):

Siding around a window with a slope less than 19 cm
 • scissors for working on metal for cutting on top of the panel, with their help produce curly cutting siding for finishing arched openings;
 • a hacksaw with a fine tooth or an electric saw for woodworking or metalworking;
 • knife-cutter - they draw a strip along the siding panel, and then the panel bends / unbends.

During the installation process, you will also need:

 • screwdriver;
 • hammer;
 • a square with which the correct mounting angle will be marked on slopes and around windows;
 • building (1.5 m) and water levels;
 • twine and chalk to mark the assembly lines.

As for fittings and accessories, the use of siding for window slopes will require right amount self-tapping screws and certain accessories. It is better when all the components and the siding itself are purchased from the same manufacturer This guarantees the quality and durability of the structure. Fasteners must be original - this will make the cladding perfect. Since the original components may seem too expensive for you, make a preliminary drawing - it will help to accurately carry out all the calculations.

Need to raise the floor on the balcony? This is written in this article. and how to do it yourself.

Components and self-tapping screws are purchased according to a pre-calculation - this will save you the trouble of finding the right colors or sizes in the process. So, the number of fastening strips is calculated according to a certain algorithm:

 1. The window opening is measured around the perimeter. From the obtained value, the distance under the window is minus - if it is planned to install window sills or ebbs here.
 2. 10% is added to this value - they take into account trimming and various inaccuracies in the process of work.

The main components required for framing windows with siding are:

 • H- and J-profile;
 • outdoor and inner corners for decorating panel joints;
 • low tides;
 • chamfers;
 • window and finish strips.

Basic rules for work

Do-it-yourself window siding will be done a little differently depending on the design of the window opening. As a rule, windows in our houses are made according to several standards:

For securing siding around window openings it is recommended to use standard metal profiles.

Important! In some cases, the use of wood - special bars is also allowed. This is done for reasons of economy. but wooden bars will be too susceptible to elevated level humidity - to prevent this from happening, a completely dry timber is used, and a special water-repellent impregnation is also applied to it.

The window opening process begins with installation starting strip. After that, serial installation is carried out, with each row carefully adjusted to the grooves already installed. If a standard size plank cannot be installed in the slope, the sheet is cut to the desired dimensions.

Important! What the markup will be, you will see only during the installation process, so cutting sheets is not carried out in advance.

Scheme of installing window profiles for siding

After the entire area of the slopes is sheathed, additional accessories are installed. However, these elements are completely optional - all their functions are performed by standard siding.

Sheathing works are carried out in a special way arched window opening. This will require a special elastic profile. It is fixed on nails or self-tapping screws around the perimeter of the window opening. Next, sheathing is carried out - always in compliance with the 15-cm step. Where the siding will touch the carrier profile, the most durable fastening is provided - no expansion gaps are left in the arched windows.

If the emphasis is on window openings in the design of the facade, then the trim is performed with platbands 6.2 cm wide. If the design of the slopes implies “invisibility”, then a narrow J-profile is preferred. However, you can independently choose the option that best suits you in terms of decor and price.

Features of the work - we do everything faultlessly

In order for the slopes of the siding to please you with beauty and strength, you should use fasteners correctly:

 • they are not screwed tightly, so that there is a millimeter gap for the expansion of the material;
 • fasteners are screwed only straight, not at an angle;
 • the place of attachment of the self-tapping screw is clearly in the middle of the mounting hole (violation of this requirement will cause the fittings or panel to deform or crack).

To increase the durability of the structure, it is best to use galvanized fasteners which are immune to corrosion. Do not forget that the fastening should not be too tight.

Pay attention to our article about. Many neglect this element, but in vain, because in addition to decorative, it also carries other useful functions.

About the characteristics of window seals.

What to look for when choosing curtains for balcony door can be read on this page

The corners in the panels are cut at 45°. The part of the fitting that fits is cut at an angle on one side docking bar, and on the other - wrap. This ensures that there are no gaps when fastening. Under the window, the final bar must be mounted - this gives the whole structure additional reliability.

Finishing with siding of external window openings requires tight fitting of elements- this is important, because otherwise the structure will not be airtight and will be exposed to external adverse factors - wind, rain, snow, and so on.

Properly installed siding around windows will be very easy to maintain. You can clean it from surface contaminants with ordinary water. If there are persistent stains, then you can use a brush or rag. If these methods do not help, then you will have to use a special washing solution: trisodium phosphate with detergent in a ratio of 2: 1 per 4 liters of water.

In an area where often high humidity air, on outdoor decoration windows can get moldy. It is eliminated with 5% sodium hydrochloride diluted in 1 liter of water. Keep in mind that siding sheathing is susceptible to organic and chlorine-containing substances. Their use can significantly harm the panels - so choose detergents with the utmost care.

Finishing windows outside with siding video

This section presents a video tutorial on the topic of our article "How to sheathe a window with siding with your own hands." We recommend watching the video, as it contains all the details of the work. Starting from the middle of the video, you will see an example of mounting near-window profiles and platbands.

If a decision is made to perform it on their own, then many are confused by whether they can install the material around window and door openings. Of course, window siding has its own characteristics, but if you wish, you can do this work yourself.

Fittings for mounting

The quality and beauty of the finishing of window and door openings largely depends on quality fittings for fasteners. Before finishing the window with siding, purchasing the material, it is advisable to immediately buy the original fasteners offered by the manufacturer of this particular finishing material. count up required amount fasteners are also desirable in advance.

Calculation of the necessary fittings for fastening panels

In order not to buy later necessary materials, besides, it can be difficult to find strips of the same color and the same manufacturer, we calculate the material consumption in advance. To do this, we measure all window and door openings around the perimeter.

Only the distance under the windows is not taken into account, since a window sill and ebbs will be installed in this place. We add up all the obtained values and take a margin for trimming about ten percent.

Although the price of quality elements is rather big, it is not worth saving on this. The beauty and strength of the cladding depends on what decorative elements will be used. The easiest way to calculate the required amount of material is if there is a drawing plan.

Looking at the cladding scheme, you can immediately decide which fastener elements can be replaced with more economical options. And which ones can you do without?

Important. Having decided to do the finishing with your own hands, you will also have to purchase the materials yourself. And sellers often try to offer the buyer the maximum number of fasteners he does not need (this is their job). Therefore, knowing what you need, you can save a lot.

fastener elements

Finishing window openings with siding requires the following fasteners:

 • H-profile;
 • J-profile - a universal element that can be used instead of a window trim and other elements;
 • Corner outer and inner for decorating the joint of panels;
 • finishing bar;
 • Chamfer:
 • low tides;
 • Window plank.

It is advisable to choose fixing accessories, matching in color and texture to the cladding panels. Or, if it is intended by the design concept, the fittings may differ in contrast from the color of the main finish.

Features of installing siding around windows

Since the architecture of each house is individual, the window openings can be completely different. Finishing window slopes with siding and its features depend on the configuration of the window.

There are three main types of windows relative to walls:

 • The windows are recessed into the wall by five to nineteen centimeters;
 • The window opening is located on the wall without slopes;
 • The slopes of the windows are more than nineteen centimeters;
 • Arched or lancet window openings.

Naturally, the installation of siding in each of these options will be different.

Slopes around window openings less than nineteen centimeters

Since, according to European building codes, the slopes are not more than nineteen centimeters, the window trim has standard size- up to twenty-two centimeters.

To attach the window trim to the frame, a finishing profile is used, into which the window trim is inserted. Finishing a window with do-it-yourself siding using a window trim is not at all a complicated process.

If desired, the window trim can be replaced with cheaper fittings - chamfer and J-profile (as you can see, this fastener can be used in almost all window trim options).

Slopes around windows more than nineteen centimeters

But building codes in Russia are different from European ones, so the slope around the window and door opening can be much larger than nineteen centimeters. In this case, window siding involves the use of external corners, which are mounted around the perimeter of the window opening.

A universal J-bar is exposed near the frame, and along the perimeter of the window opening outer corner. The slope is decorated with siding panels cut to size, which are inserted into the grooves of the fittings around the window opening.

Windows without slopes

The easiest option for self-assembly panels.

For finishing, you can choose a platband with a width of 6.2 centimeters, then the window openings will be emphasized in the design of the facade. First, a platband is installed, and trim panels are inserted into it.

If the design involves an inconspicuous window trim, then it is better to choose a narrow J-profile for fastening the siding around the windows. When finishing window openings with siding is done independently, then it is quite possible to choose the option that suits the cost and decor.

Arched or lancet windows

Siding manufacturers recommend using a flexible J-profile for arched windows, but it can be replaced with a standard one. It’s just that during installation it needs to be cut a little, exposing it around the window opening, as shown in Figure 6.

Important. Arched window siding is trimmed with profile trimming every twenty centimeters. This will prevent cracking of the hardware.

On the Internet you can find a lot of photo and video materials with step by step instructions installation of siding around window and door openings. Therefore, let's pay attention to the most basic principles that should be followed when installing material around windows.

Useful information is contained in the article.

Features of installing siding around window openings

Finishing window openings with siding according to the instructions requires the following conditions to be met:

 • Fasteners (self-tapping screws or dowels) must be galvanized to prevent rust;
 • Fasteners should not be screwed tightly into the panel, leaving a gap for the expansion of the material of one millimeter;
 • Mounting screws should be screwed in straight, and in no case at an angle;
 • The self-tapping screw must be screwed clearly in the middle of the fastener hole in the material panels. If this condition is not adhered to, then the panel or fittings can easily crack or deform;
 • The corners when connecting the fittings are cut to forty-five degrees;
 • The part of the fittings adjacent to the slope at one docked plank is cut at an angle, and at the other it is wrapped. This is required for a tighter connection of the elements, without gaps and cracks;

 • For a more durable and reliable fastening under the window, it is worth installing the final bar, which will securely fix the panel.
 • Since the outside of the finish is exposed to adverse weather conditions(rain and wind), then the fasteners must be tightly joined;

We conclude that do-it-yourself window siding is doable. The main thing is to follow the installation instructions and not neglect the basic requirements. When installing the cladding yourself, you can significantly save money and perform the original and spectacular decor facade. There would be free time and a desire to show imagination and creativity.

The beauty and completeness of a residential building can be appreciated by its windows and doorways which immediately catch the eye. The facade of the house plays not only a practical, but also an aesthetic role. Therefore, if you decide to upgrade it yourself, you will definitely have a question about how to sheathe a window with siding and a doorway.

Their location on the wall plays a big role in this, i.e. they are made without slopes or with slopes. For example, the last option is found in block and brick houses, and the first in attic rooms or in wooden buildings. But, in both cases, facing the window with siding will significantly improve the perception and allow you to save the window opening for a long time.

The whole plan will depend on this. upcoming work. For this, a window siding strip (J-rail) or siding "boards" can be used. Not sure how to sheathe windows with siding correctly? Let's look at both options.

Window openings without slopes

The process must begin by protecting the window from possible penetration of moisture from rain or snow. This element is called an apron, its price is low, but it gives a lot of benefits.

Prepare:

 • Aluminum foil (comes with siding) or galvanized iron sheet;
 • Silicone sealant;
 • Nails (for wooden house) or dowel-nails (for brick or panel);
 • Hammer;
 • Perforator.

The window opening must be sewn up with an L-shaped apron of the "fish scale" type, as shown in the photo below. In this case, the foil or galvanized strips will overlap each other, starting from the bottom.

Thus, moisture will not be able to penetrate around the entire perimeter and will drain.

 1. Apply a layer of sealant to the bottom of the window opening;
 2. Nail or dowel nails upper part stripes;
 3. Fasten the outer and upper strips on the opening in the same way;
 4. Seal the upper strip of the L-shaped apron from above with aluminum tape.

Tip: do not attach the apron directly to the window opening.
Then you can without partial disassembly siding to take out the window when necessary.
Install siding with some overlap on window block, closing the gap between it and the wall.

After installing the apron, you need to decide whether the siding will be installed around the window cleanly or other elements are planned to be placed on it.

In the first case, it is better to use a 1 1/4″ J-profile, which will become a casing, in the second, smaller sizes (1/2″, 3/8″ or 1″) or abandon it altogether. Most often, window framing with siding occurs in two versions - “at the corner” and “overlap”.

overlap

 1. Prepare four J-rails, their dimensions should correspond to the width and height of the window opening;
 2. On the upper profile, make an incision to the width of the profile and bend it down. On it, moisture will drain into the side profile;
 3. Enter the top side profile so that the bent part falls into it;
 4. Leave a thermal gap of 3-5 mm between the top and side profiles;
 5. Insert the lower profile, leaving a temperature gap between the side profiles of 2-3 mm.

The gaps will not be visible as they will be hidden behind the siding. When installing the lower profile, do not bend side part side profile to the bottom, it is better to hide them under it.

This will give the window a more aesthetic look. You can watch the video in this article below to learn how to fix the window siding bar.

At the corner

The process is similar to the "overlap" option, but it is necessary on the upper profile on both sides and on lower parts side profile cut off the ends at an angle of 45˚. In this case, the size of the thermal gap should be taken into account in order to block them.

They come in a variety of configurations, so finding the right one is not difficult.

 1. Take the necessary molding and cut it in width and more than the opening;
 2. Cut drains in it to remove moisture and bend them;
 3. Insert the molding into the groove of the vinyl board or J-rail;
 4. Close the ends with special decorative corner inserts (plugs). They can be left or right.

molding is easy decorative element. Use it or not - decide for yourself.

Window openings with slopes

At the beginning of the article, it was said that the process of sheathing windows with siding with and without slopes (niches) is different. In this case, it does not differ from the usual wall decoration with ordinary siding using corner profiles. If the slope is shallow, it will be enough to sheathe it with the help of special trim or corner start profile with vinyl board.

At the same time, it should be noted that sheathing window slopes with siding, about window profile can only cover a depth of up to 170 mm, so it may not be suitable for PVC windows. According to technology, they are installed deeper than wooden ones (on 1/3 of the wall) in order to avoid the process of their fogging.

However, as it shows Lately, few people adhere to these recommendations when replacing and repairing plastic windows. And, in vain, since many problems could have been avoided in the future already at the stage of their installation. It should be noted that today there is also liquid plastic for the repair of plastic windows, which allows you to perform many works without dismantling the structure.

Before installing the near-window profile, it is necessary to cut the top and bottom to the shape of the slope plus the expansion gap. At the last, the vinyl should be bent onto the wall. In fact, it turns into a familiar ebb tide.

If you are not sure that you can evenly cut the upper profile, then bend it to the slope as well as the lower one. Connections can be additionally sealed with silicone.

Rarely, window slopes are perfectly even. Therefore, in the case when the near-window profile does not adhere tightly to them or cannot cover the entire depth, a sandwich panel is installed. If you have such a window, it is necessary to install a low tide.

It can be made of vinyl or tin, but it should be fixed only from the side of the window. The first one is more preferable as it doesn't need to be updated periodically.

Tip: when installing side slopes, they must be slightly shifted to the center of the window opening in order to prevent the upper profile from disengaging in cold weather.

Do not forget, for any slopes, be sure to install J-profiles. They will not allow rain or snow in windy weather to get on the window opening.

Using the material of the article, you can safely, with your own hands, sheathe a window opening of any complexity with siding. Be patient so that the work done will please you for a single year. The money you save can be used to improve your home.

Outdoor work on finishing a loggia or balcony is quite complex process. Finishing materials currently offered quite a large assortment. Today we will consider how glazing and finishing of balconies are made using siding.

 • To fix the near-window profile, a finishing bar is used.
 • This bar can be replaced with a J-profile or chamfer. This change is made to save money.
 • The rear edge of the near-window strip is inserted into the profile installed near the frame, and its front part serves as a slope angle.
 • Further lining is installed in a special groove of the plank.

Slopes over 19 cm

In our country, the climate is more severe, so in many houses the thickness of the walls reaches 50 cm. In turn, the width of the slope outside is more than 19 cm - standard width near-window plank. Such windows are sheathed as follows:

 • A J-profile is installed near the frame, which acts as a starting bar.
 • An external corner is installed along the perimeter of the opening.
 • The resulting space between the profiles is sheathed with suitable-sized segments of panels.
 • When measuring and cutting pieces of panels, you should remember to observe temperature gap, which should be at least 5 mm.

Finishing arched openings

Sometimes you have to cover arched windows. At the same time, such openings can be, as provided for by the construction project, or converted from ordinary windows with your own hands. The technology for finishing such openings is as follows:

 • The use of a J-profile is recommended, which, if desired, can be completely replaced by a standard one. The edge of the standard profile must be trimmed to give it the desired roundness.
 • Incisions are made at least 1 by 15–20 cm so that the profile does not break or crack.
 • The cladding panels of the siding are inserted into the groove of the profile.

Advice! To finish the windows with siding to be of high quality, neat and serve long years, it is necessary to observe the technological gap. In this case, such a gap should be in any place where two siding elements are connected.

Window siding technology

To interior decoration balcony looked complete and tidy, it is necessary to correctly install the trim around the window. This process has certain nuances that must be observed:

 • If you need to connect the fittings with your own hands, the corners of the profiles must be cut by 45 °. For precise marking, use a square.
 • All fasteners must be made of galvanized steel. This also applies to screws and dowels.
 • Self-tapping screws must be screwed into the crate strictly straight, the slightest deviation from the horizontal must be excluded.
 • Regarding the mounting hole - the screw is screwed in strictly in the middle.
 • At the same time, the screws must not be screwed in completely, leaving a small slack so that the siding panels can move.
 • The part of the profile that is adjacent to the slope is cut at an angle, and the other half is bent. This achieves a tighter, gap-free connection of elements.
 • Under the window, it is necessary to install a finishing bar, which will ensure the tightness and reliability of fastening the top panel of the siding.

Using a similar technology, the cladding is installed around the balcony door. Here, the sheathing is made a little easier, since there is no need to clad the door from below.

Advice! If necessary, you can perform simultaneous insulation of the balcony. To do this, between the lining ( plastic panels) and insulation is laid on the wall. Most often used foam, penofol or pressed mineral wool- a modern analogue of glass wool.

Having studied the technology for performing work, one can come to the conclusion that it is possible to finish the windows with their own pvc hands siding is quite possible without involving employees. In addition, glazing and finishing of balconies with improved windows will complement appearance and emphasize the originality of the cladding of the loggia.

Increasingly, when carrying out repairs and construction works facade cladding with siding panels is used. This material is very convenient: it is quite simple to install and has an acceptable cost. During the work, difficulties may arise in the design of door and window openings. In most cases, they are also sheathed with siding panels.

Siding

Siding - popular material for exterior finish building facades. It first began to be used in America in the middle of the 19th century. To date, many of its modifications are known. Various materials, which are part of the panels, make it possible to achieve its high strength, endurance, resistance to sudden changes in temperature.

There are several types of siding panels, depending on the composition used for manufacturing:

 • Wooden. The main part of it is treated wood.
 • Woody. It is made from pressed and glued together wood fibers.
 • Vinyl. One of the most popular types of material. Made from polyvinyl chloride. This allows you to achieve its maximum endurance and durability.
 • Metal. Its main component is sheet steel. It is most often used when facing the facades of industrial buildings;
 • Cement. For its manufacture, cement and cellulose fiber are used. Its distinctive feature is the inability to burn. However, during installation, many difficulties arise. This is due to the high weight of the material and its properties.

Siding Properties

Siding is the most commonly used material for exterior decoration of building facades. This is due to its main features:

 • acceptable price;
 • easy installation technology;
 • long service life;
 • resistance to external damage;
 • resistance to moisture;
 • resistance to temperature extremes;
 • resistance to dirt and dust;
 • big variety colors and material modifications.

The nuances of work

Before you start covering the window with siding panels with your own hands, you need to study the basic nuances of the work.

Installation technology depends on the type window construction. It can be made with or without slopes.

If the window opening is made without slopes and has a lower level of deepening, it is necessary to use a special siding bar. For sheathing windows with slopes, ordinary siding panels are used.

Preparatory work

How to properly clad windows with siding panels? To do this, you must first accurate calculations quantities of material and basic measurements.

To do this, measure each side of the window. To the results obtained, it is necessary to add 6 cm for the margin. It is necessary for the corner trimming procedure.

In order for measurements to be made most accurately, it is necessary to fix the crate around the window. Trimming of materials is carried out with an additional allowance of 5 mm.

Surface preparation

Before starting work, it is necessary to carefully prepare work surface. It should be cleaned of the remnants of the old crate. Remove accumulated dust, dirt, paint and oil stains.

Note! There should be no cracks or crevices on the surface of the walls. They need to be closed with cement mortar or polyurethane foam.

The work surface must be level. It should be sanded and all protruding parts removed.

To prevent the spread of pathogenic bacteria and microorganisms, the surface is treated with a special antiseptic solution.

Required Tools

To carry out the procedure for sheathing windows with siding panels, you will need the following tools:

 • hammer;
 • building level. It is necessary to control the evenness of the work performed;
 • square;
 • marking tools (tape measure, cord, chalk);
 • ordinary hacksaw;
 • hacksaw for metal;
 • self-tapping screws;
 • screws;
 • screwdriver

Stages of work

Before you sheathe a window with siding yourself, you must first study the main stages of the work:

 1. Surface preparation.
 2. Window insulation.
 3. Waterproofing.
 4. Launchpad installation.
 5. Window siding.
 6. Finishing.

Finishing Features

Sheathing windows with siding is carried out according to two main technologies. Their choice depends on the type of window construction:

 • in-depth window profile with slopes;
 • window with a low level of recess without slopes.

Sheathing of a window opening without slopes

Work should begin with the window insulation procedure. To do this, you can use a roll insulation. It is installed around the perimeter of the window opening. The insulation should be glued to the window surface with adhesive mastic. You can also use dowels to secure it.

If the depth of the window opening allows, full thermal insulation of the openings can be carried out. It consists of several layers:

 • Insulation material.
 • Air bag. Its thickness should be up to 5 cm.
 • Siding panels.

Waterproofing

After completion of thermal insulation work, it is necessary to proceed with the waterproofing procedure. To do this, you need to install a special protective apron. It will protect the window from the penetration of rain and snow.

To work, you will need the following tools:

 1. Foil. You can also use galvanized iron.
 2. Silicone sealant.
 3. Dowels or nails.
 4. Aluminum tape.
 5. Perforator.
 6. Hammer.

Waterproofing a window opening is carried out in several stages:

 1. The installation of the apron should begin from the bottom of the window. To do this, apply a layer of silicone sealant.
 2. Then the installation and fixing of the material is carried out.
 3. After completing the installation in the lower part of the window, it is necessary to proceed to the sheathing of the right and left sides of the window opening. To do this, the surface is also treated with a layer of mastic, then a sheet of material is installed and fixed.
 4. Lastly, the upper part of the opening is sheathed.
 5. After completing the installation of the apron, it is necessary to strengthen the upper part. For this purpose, it is glued with aluminum tape.

Sheathing options

Sheathing window siding without slopes is carried out in the following ways:

 • sheathing with siding boards;
 • way of working "overlap";
 • corner method.

The installation process of each of them should be considered separately.

Window siding boards

Stages of work:

 1. The installation process should begin with the installation of the central corner profile. It can be plastic or metal. In some cases, you can use the J rail.
 2. Rail preparation. Corner cuts should be made on the top rail. This is necessary to ensure the flow of water.
 3. The siding board is fixed on the central corner profile. For making joints on the bottom and top boards 45° corners must be cut.
 4. Fixing boards with a joining profile.
 5. Ebb installation for sewage on the bottom board.
 6. Installation of plugs on the side profiles.

Work "overlap"

Sheathing is carried out using siding J rails. They should be selected and cut to the size of the window profile.

 1. Installation and fixing of the upper profile. Installation of a hole for draining wastewater. To do this, it is necessary to make an incision on the profile and bend it.
 2. Installation of side profiles. They must be connected to the bent upper profile.
 3. It is worth remembering that there should be an empty space of about 5 mm between the side and top profiles.
 4. Installation of the lower profile. It is also necessary to maintain an empty space between it and the side profiles of approximately 3 mm.
 5. Installation of siding strips.

Way of working "on the corner"

 1. Installation of the upper fixing profile. Its ends must be cut at an angle of 45 °.
 2. Installation of side profiles. They are cut from the bottom. A gap of 3–5 mm is established between the profiles.
 3. The lower profile is installed without gaps.
 4. Installation of siding panels.

The process of sheathing windows with slopes

feature of this type windows is its in-depth location. Here they can accumulate wastewater. To eliminate this, it is necessary to mount the ebb structure in the lower profile. The drain is cut to the required length. Along the edges it is necessary to install a border that prevents the penetration of water into the profile. To do this, the structure should be bent from the edge.

Note! It is worth remembering that the drainage should have a small protrusion from the wall. Best Option is the installation of a device with a protrusion of 5 to 10 cm, depending on the size of the window.

The drainage is attached to the window surface with mounting foam and fixed with screwdrivers. The structure should be located at a slight angle. This will help drain the water.

To prevent the structure from skewing, it is necessary to install a load on the drainage system for the period of drying of the mounting foam.

After installing the ebb, you can go directly to the finishing procedure. To do this, around the perimeter of the window, you need to install finishing strips. If it is not possible to fix them (for example, when working on metal profiles using body kits), then you can attach the corners mounted from the starting profile to the openings and fix the finishing strips on them.

Installation and fixing of the upper slope. To do this, you can take a profile or a thin siding panel. An overlap of 5 cm must be made on the side wall.

Installation of side slopes. They should be brought to the top profile. To carry out the joining of the profiles, the slopes should be cut at an angle of 45 °. The lower end of the side slope can be connected to the drainage or installed below its level.

After completion of work, the joints should be treated with a layer of sealant.

Window siding - perfect solution to obtain an aesthetic window opening. At observance of the specified recommendations of work the siding profile will serve some tens of years.
