3. The free end of the fishing line is threaded through the ring on the guide, pulled into the lower latch.

4. Adhesive tape is glued to the bracket.

5. Staple positions are determined according to the length of the roller blind with plug and chain mechanism.

6. The outer layer is removed from the adhesive tape, after which the staples are fixed on the window.

7. We put both ears in the holes of the plugs of the roller blind weighting agent.

8. We fix the bracket on the side of the curtain control mechanism with self-tapping screws. We insert the second bracket on the other side, fasten it.

Roller blinds: fastening installation

The first step is to install the fasteners. It consists of three parts - upper hinges, lower hinges and brackets in which the lifting mechanism will be held. Some kits have special plastic or wooden plugs that will visually cover the fasteners.

The easiest way to mount is with adhesive tape. Its advantage is that you do not have to damage the profile itself. Suitable for the simplest window models, which do not provide for the installation of additional rails. It should only be borne in mind that such a procedure is performed not using ordinary double-sided tape, but using construction adhesive tape with a soft (foam) base, which must be ironed (or heated with a hot air gun) before use.

Before you hang the fasteners in place, you must perform the correct measurement.

What to consider when measuring

• The canvas does not need to be fully opened. The mini system looks more attractive if the indentation at the top and bottom of the profile is the same.
• In no case should you melt the PVC profile. If you plan to glue the tape, then degrease the installation sites with ordinary alcohol, but not with acetone or other solvents.
• Marking with guides should be based on the geometry of the window opening. It should not happen that on the one hand the indentation will be less or more. From above, you need to leave enough space for the sash to open completely (about 3-4 centimeters higher above the profile).

If you plan to mount the brackets on a rigid connection with the profile and at the same time you need to drill a PVC base, then a dremel with the lowest drill speed set is better for this purpose (in no case is it what is used for metal or for curly cutting glass ).

First you need to install the lower rear bar and adjust the desired height of the roller blind using it. As a rule, manufacturers do not knit a fishing line for this in the kit - this will need to be done independently already in the process of installing the folding mechanism.

Brackets are mounted on 2-4 self-tapping screws (depending on the manufacturer). This is where the instruction will help, which indicates exactly how the fasteners should be located for the correct mounting and pulling of the fishing line, canvas. As a rule, the "ears" converge to the inner side of the profile, which allows them to be hidden from prying eyes with decorative caps.

The buyer should only:

• Pull the fishing line over the edge of the curtain (if necessary, shorten the canvas, creating a wider fold);
• Tie the fishing line at both ends (loop);
• Pass the hinges through the shaft brackets.

Lastly, a sinker is attached to the bottom of the curtain (a plastic or aluminum weighting agent with iron inserts that will rest against the magnet on the back bottom bar). As a rule, in almost all mini systems, guide fasteners are provided until they click (the only drawback is that this is done with plastic inserts that wear out over time).

After the curtain and the lifting mechanism are installed in their grooves, their operation should be carefully tested. This is necessary in order to make sure that the fishing line is not squeezed anywhere, not tied into a knot and does not stick.

Some manufacturers additionally put silicone oil in the kit - it is used to lubricate the grooves into which the revolving shaft is installed. This operation needs to be performed only 1-2 times a year. You can replace silicone oil with one that is used to lubricate sewing machines (sold in a textile store).

Proper maintenance of roller blinds

Roller blind maintenance includes:

• Maintenance of the shaft on which the curtains are wound (greasing its side parts);
• Washing the fabric itself (performed 1-2 times a year, while you must definitely read the instructions);
• Removing dirt from the rear strips and fasteners (for this, a soapy solution or window cleaning liquid is used).

If we are talking about roller blinds such as blinds (combined lifting mechanism), then their care also includes washing the slats themselves (if they are collapsible). Cleaning of dirt is also carried out with a soapy solution without aggressive household chemicals.

It should be noted that if it is planned to transfer the windows to the thermal insulation mode for the winter, then before performing this operation it is recommended to dismantle the canvas and the lifting mechanism of the roller blinds. After clamping the grooves of the plastic profile, they can be put back.
