Well-groomed persons are visible from afar, and it is always pleasant to communicate with them. The easiest way to completely clean yourself up is to take a shower, but this is inconvenient to do several times a day.

The hygienic shower in the toilet is very convenient, compact and greatly simplifies hygiene procedures.

Goals of installing a shower in a toilet instead of a bidet

A hygienic shower is a small diameter shower head with a shut-off valve on the handle, by pressing which you supply water.

This simple device will help, without much movement, bring yourself into full order after certain procedures and feel confident. designs hygienic shower much is known, but the purpose of all is the same - to submit warm water at the desired time to a specific point.

Why not install a bidet?

If you talk about what is better to install - a hygienic shower or a bidet for intimate hygiene, then you can highlight many advantages in favor of a hygienic shower. So why is it better to install a hygienic shower instead of a bidet?

Instead of a bidet, it is better to install a hygienic shower, as it does not require a lot of space.

First, consider some of the disadvantages in terms of installing a bidet. For installation, you will definitely need a spacious toilet room. In this case, the bathroom can be combined with a shower or shower cabin or stand in a separate room.

Here again a dilemma arises: if the bathroom is separate, then in which room is it better to install a bidet? If it is directly a toilet, then you will have to constantly run from the toilet to the shower. If you install a bidet in the toilet, next to the toilet, then you will immediately need to provide a sink for washing hands, as is done in most cases.

With the combined arrangement of the shower and the bathroom, the room will gather a large number of plumbing fixtures.

Installing a bidet will require a fairly large investment and serious dismantling of the flooring.

To install a bidet, you will need a lot of investment and dismantling of the flooring.

Regardless of the mutual location of the bathroom and the bathroom, you should remember the mandatory standards for the installation of sanitary equipment. The bidet should be installed at a distance not exceeding 30 cm from the walls of the room and from other sanitary equipment.

For comfortable use, so much space on all sides may not be needed, but the standards require it. This once again proves the irrationality of using a bidet as a means of ensuring hygiene.

If elderly people live in the house, then the installed bidet can create some inconvenience in terms of use.

The main types of shower in the toilet

It will be useful to consider the main types of hygienic showers. Installation of any of them is carried out in the immediate vicinity of an existing toilet bowl or is mounted in the toilet bowl itself in various ways. So, the main types can be distinguished:

Installing a hygienic shower will not cause damage to the interior, the main thing is not to forget to block stopcock on the mixer.

  1. Hygienic shower placed on the wall. This type of installation involves the installation in the wall near the toilet of a special metal-plastic hose with a mixer and a shower head. You can also install it yourself. However, it is not necessary to wait overhaul bathroom. The installation will not damage the interior. It is important that after using a hygienic shower, it is necessary not only to press the button on the shower head to stop the water supply, but also to turn off the stopcock on the mixer. Otherwise, a weak nozzle valve may not withstand, and a flood will occur.
  2. Hygienic shower with mini-sink. Installing such a sink in the toilet will good advantage and bring some additional features for homeowners. Useful space will be spent economically, since it is installed on the wall, but it can be practically above the toilet. Mini-sinks can be either corner or conventional - for installation on solid wall. The width of any of them is just over 30 cm, and the height will hardly exceed 15 cm. In such a hygienic shower, you can wash your hands or small household items. When used as intended, the hose with the shower head must be able to reach the toilet bowl freely.
  3. Cover-bidet for the toilet. Such a device will be convenient for people who want to have all the advantages of a bidet, but do not have space. At the same time, the elements for supplying a hygienic shower are already installed in the toilet lid and are sold assembled. Such devices can be supplied electric drive or be without it, have a control panel or a control panel on the armrest of the lid. The water supplied through a special nozzle can be additionally heated. Some bidet covers feature a hairdryer. The price of such a device is high. And in practice, such a device, unlike the 2 previous ones, will have only one purpose - directly for its intended purpose.
  4. Toilet bowl with bidet function. In terms of hygiene, such a device can be rather doubtful, because the water supply device is located directly in the toilet bowl. Not everyone dares to do this, since achieving sterile cleanliness in the toilet bowl, if possible, is only for a short period. This is where intimate hygiene comes into play.

A distinctive feature of such a hygienic shower will be that outwardly it will not bring anything new to the interior of a combined bathroom or a separate bathroom.

Installation work on installing a shower in the toilet

  1. Hygienic shower. When installing it, there is no need to carry out new communications: water is drained from existing ones. As a rule, a shut-off valve with a water mixer is provided on the outer part of the wall, and the shower head has a button to stop the water supply. The design can provide for the installation of a thermostat, which will eliminate the constant regulation of the temperature of the supply water. The mixer is located at will, on either side of the toilet bowl, above its level. The hanging stand can be included with the faucet or purchased separately. It will be convenient to place the necessary liquid products hygiene and napkins in special hanging holders.
  2. Hygienic shower with mini-sink. In this case, a mini sink of the selected shape is mounted in a corner or on a solid wall in the immediate vicinity of the toilet bowl. At the same time, together with a conventional faucet, a mixer with a shower hose and a special holder for it is installed. The hose will not constantly interfere: when laying the nozzle on the holder, the hose loop hangs down and is located directly under the sink. To install the sink, you will need to prepare special tools. Make holes in the wall with a puncher. Using a screwdriver, firmly fix the screws in the wall using dowels. Fasten the prepared sink onto the screws screwed into the wall. Bring communications to the sink using PVC pipes. Arrange waste water disposal with plastic pipes with a knee that can be hidden in the solid wall.
  3. Cover-bidet for the toilet. The installation of a bidet cover does not provide for complex installation work. Connection diagrams vary somewhat depending on the model of the device, all of them are necessarily included in the kit along with sets of spare parts for installation. With the help of several PVC hoses, it will be necessary to ensure the supply of water to the toilet and the drain of the waste. It is necessary to provide a special filter for the water supplied to the bidet cover. Then you should check all connections and the correctness of the collection of the entire sequence according to the attached scheme. And only then you can connect the bidet cover to electrical network for managed use.
  4. Toilet bowl with bidet function. Installation work with such a device may be different depending on the model purchased. A toilet with a built-in bidet function can be bought right away. Then you only need in the usual way install a toilet bowl and supply water separately for hygienic purposes. In such toilet bowls, a nozzle on the water mixer is provided inside the bowl on the far central part of the rim. The mixer should bring the water to the desired temperature, the nozzle will spray water up. The design of the toilet bowl may include a retractable fitting, combined with a mixer. The principle of use is the same, but the fitting can be extended or retracted, tilted, which is much more convenient and practical. At the end of the fitting there will be a nozzle for spraying water.

Such a useful invention of mankind as a bidet has been known for a long time, but the whole problem is that it requires space to install it. If during the construction of private houses or in new buildings with a free layout, this issue is resolved quickly, then for residents of typical high-rise buildings there is a hygienic shower. We will talk about what it is, why it is needed and how to install a hygienic shower in the toilet.

Purpose and arrangement of the shower

Of course, before acquiring such relatively expensive plumbing, any sane person will ask why a hygienic shower is needed and whether it is needed at all. The question is certainly reasonable, but saving on personal hygiene is stupid, in addition, this device can be successfully used for other purposes.

Reasons for the rise in popularity

Important: in a nutshell, a hygienic shower is a compact device that serves for intimate hygiene.
Such units are installed both on the toilet bowl itself and in close proximity to it.
In fact, a bidet function is added to the toilet bowl.

  • According to existing sanitary standards the distance from the toilet to the bidet must be at least 300 mm. If you add the dimensions of the bidet itself, then in fact, you will need a place for another toilet, which is almost unrealistic in typical urban apartments.
  • The device of a hygienic shower in the toilet immediately eliminates the problem of shortage square meters . At the same time, you get a unit that is in no way inferior in its characteristics, and in some models even surpasses the notorious bidet.
  • In addition to its impressive dimensions, the bidet requires the arrangement of a separate sewer drain . The use of the shower provides, as they say, two in one.

  • People suffering from rectal diseases will fully appreciate this useful invention., with it there is no longer a need to move to another plumbing unit, all actions are performed locally.
  • For young mothers, such a shower is practically ideal option . In addition to using it for personal hygiene, it is convenient to wash the baby under it or rinse the potty.
  • This device will become indispensable assistant if there are elderly people in the family who need to be looked after. With its help, both the elderly and the disabled will be able to serve themselves.

  • An important point is the convenience of washing the trays after pets, as well as cleaning directly in the toilet itself, plus the ability to quickly fill up the capacity with warm water if necessary.
  • And finally, installing a hygienic shower in the toilet with your own hands, in the vast majority of cases, does not cause difficulties. If you can replace a faucet at home, then this job is up to you.

Against the backdrop of so many good points the arguments of the opponents of the hygienic shower do not look very convincing, but in fairness, we will also talk about them.

  • In devices equipped with a removable watering can, after turning off the water, a few drops from the divider flow down to the floor. But on the other hand, no one bothers you to take a napkin and immediately wipe the divider.
  • The argument that children will play with such a shower is more in the field of education than in the field of plumbing.
  • Before you take a shower, you need to provide a separate supply of warm and cold water. This statement is not true for all models. As well as the reproach that it is inconvenient for full people to use the shower, it all depends on the choice of model.
  • If you are told that a lot of splashes are scattered during operation, then the bidet in this case is no better, this question is closer to personal accuracy.

Tip: do not look for the cheapest models, quality is not an empty phrase here.
You will be very lucky if such a unit just stops working.
It is worse if the neighbors below feel your mistake when you flood them.
The price of a decent basic fixture starts at $100 and up.

Varieties of aggregates

First, it should be noted that absolutely all existing models can be installed in a small toilet. The only question is what options you need and how to connect the device.

The most expensive plumbing on the market are considered. In this case, the bowl was originally designed for the installation of a hygienic shower in the toilet. Compactness is considered an indisputable advantage here, in fact it is an ordinary toilet bowl, in the rim of which a nozzle is mounted and a mixer is installed to adjust the water temperature.

The nozzle can be mounted permanently or completed with a retractable flexible hose. Stationary options have a self-cleaning function and are more expensive, they are used exclusively for their intended purpose. But from a practical point of view, retractable nozzles are much more convenient.

Also at the top price category there are so-called bidet covers. These devices are adapted to any type of toilet bowl. They are the ones that are assembled big amount additional options, in addition to a bidet, an air freshener, a hairdryer, an automatic raising and lowering of the lid, a remote remote control and much more.

A very useful addition is electric water heating, with it you do not need to worry about connecting hot water, it is enough to power the unit in parallel with the toilet bowl and plug it into the network. In addition, such a shower is easy to install with your own hands, and if necessary, dismantle it back.

If your toilet already has a sink, then optimal solution there will be installation of a special faucet equipped with a valve for switching to a hygienic shower. The device, most often, is connected from below and does not interfere with the use of the sink for other purposes. This option is the best for one-room apartments and apartments with shared bathroom.

Wall-mounted version of the hygienic shower on this moment is the most requested. As well as in a regular shower, there is a watering can on a flexible hose and a mixer for adjusting the water. But unlike traditional systems, the divider is equipped with a valve and an on-off button.

Lever to turn on the splitter.

Wall mounting of a hygienic shower in a toilet can be hidden or open way. The hidden option is more beautiful, since all communications and connections are hidden behind a false wall, only the mixer control lever and the splitter itself on a flexible hose remain available. But installing a hygienic shower in the toilet with your own hands in an open way is much cheaper and more convenient.

Tip: in order not to waste time on regular tuning comfortable temperature water, it is better to immediately buy a mixer with a thermostat.
It has a function of storing the set data, with which you, including the system, immediately get the temperature you need.
Plus, the option of getting a burn or a sudden supply of ice water is excluded.

Materials used

Often, in all devices of this kind, almost the same materials are used as in traditional souls. At the top price segment it is bronze, brass or copper.

The middle firmly occupies stainless steel. Budget models made of plastic or silumin. But if you choose between plastic and silumin, then in this case plastic is better, it is much more durable and easier to use.

As for the soft hose in retractable or wall-mounted models, all these hoses are made of plastic, but so that it does not break, it is better to buy a device wrapped in a metal hose. In addition, the metal hose can have a coating imitating any metal.

In this case, the question of what size the hygienic shower in the toilet should be is not so important. As mentioned earlier, all devices of this kind were originally developed for small rooms. Here, more attention should be paid to ease of use.

All decent systems from a reputable manufacturer have instructions that describe in detail how to assemble and, no less important, how to connect a shower. Questions often arise at the stage of arranging cold and hot water supply.

The installation height of the hygienic shower in the toilet, if we consider models with a divider on a flexible hose, is measured at waist level. For dividers powered by a sink mixer, it is made at the level of the sink cut, this is about 850 mm from the floor. But in any case, you need to mount it so that the divider is within outstretched hand.

If you do not want to bother with the installation of hot water, you should stop at models built into the toilet lid. They are equipped with an electric heating element for heating water. In fact, this is a small instantaneous water heater.

But it should be noted that all showers with electric heaters need reliable grounding. Plus, they have serious power, which will entail additional costs for electricity.

Mixers for such systems, as a rule, are included. But if you decide to buy everything separately, then you should give preference to a faucet with a thermostat, without a spout. As for the dividers, you can recognize them by the presence of a shut-off valve with a lever or a water shut-off button.

The video in this article shows the subtleties of choosing the installation of some models.

Output

The device of a hygienic shower in the toilet will allow a clean person to spend much less time on traditional procedures. In addition, your household will appreciate the convenience of this device and soon you will no longer imagine how you managed without it before.

No matter what humanity enjoys, if only they developed equipment that makes life easier for people. IN Lately a design designed for personal hygiene, such as a hygienic shower, is gaining popularity.

Most often it is a one-two-meter hose with a shower head. small size, which is installed in the toilet room. Is this device really a vital element of every home, or will spending money on such an innovation become superfluous?

On the one hand, such a personal hygiene item really simplifies many things.

Do you have an eating disorder, do you have a pet at home whose litter box needs to be cleaned daily, do you need to convenient way monitor intimate hygiene - in these and many other cases, you will not regret if you install this type of equipment in your toilet.

Despite its name, this item differs from its “bathroom” counterpart in its compactness, as well as the presence of a shut-off valve on the handle: water begins to flow only when you press it, the rest of the time it is closed.

However, this know-how also has its drawbacks, including dripping water from the watering can after turning it off and extra splashes that provoke additional cleaning.

In addition, often the installation entails the need to make repairs in the toilet. Among other things, both the installation itself and the purchase necessary elements one way or another will hit your wallet.

Whichever company you choose, you always need a faucet for a hygienic shower. It can be built-in or wall-mounted, as well as interfaced with a sink. Also, depending on the type of mixers, the types of hygienic showers also differ. Let's dwell on them in more detail.

Shower with mixer

In case you are the owner toilet room, in which there is a sink not far from the toilet, then the most convenient option for you would be to place the mixer on the sink, and hang the watering can for a hygienic shower on the wall next to the toilet.

Before starting the hygiene procedure, you will need to turn on the water, adjust the temperature and go directly to the procedure. This will also allow you not to worry about water dripping onto the floor.

Among other things, the presence of a sink in the toilet room is also convenient because you will always have the opportunity to wash your hands.

wall model

As the name implies, the whole structure of such a shower is on the wall surface.

The mixer is installed on pipes that come out of the wall. One end of the hygienic shower hose is screwed to the faucet, the other to a watering can, which is hung on the wall.

In principle, this option is convenient and not suitable only for those people who may be confused by the aesthetic side of the design.

Embedded

In this case, the whole mechanism is hidden behind the wall, and only a special panel remains on the surface. This is the so-called hygienic shower concealed installation. If you have chosen this type of installation, the hose with water dispenser should be connected to the hose connection inside the wall through which the mixed water exits.

This design has a more presentable appearance, but is unlikely if you have recently made repairs in the toilet - for this kind of installation you will have to duplicate it.

With integrated thermostat

But if the method of manually adjusting the temperature does not suit you or seems too inconvenient, there is also such a variation of the hygienic shower that is able to maintain the water temperature you set.

By installing a thermostatic faucet, you no longer have to worry about getting burned, and you can also save water, which is usually spent on checking the degree of water heating.

In addition, for its installation it also does not matter whether the hygienic shower is built-in or wall-mounted.

Installation and connection

To begin with, decide that you own all the components of a hygienic shower. The set should include:

  • hose
  • watering can
  • mixer
  • wall holder

How to install a hygienic shower in the toilet?

The rest of the installation is simple and understandable even to the layman. Conduct special pipes this is not necessary, you use the existing communications. If the mixer is built-in or wall-mounted, read the text above - in the descriptions of this type of shower, we have given installation instructions.

But plumbers still recommend mounting the sink in the toilet. Built-in structures, in their opinion, are the least safe. Also, if you do not want to deal with the installation of the sink, you should turn off such a shower not only by pressing the button, but also by completely turning off the mixer.

And in order to avoid leakage, do not forget to seal the junction of the watering can and the mixer, as well as the hose and the mixer, with a gasket.

If you understand that you will not cope with the installation, then finding a person who will solve this problem for you is easy. Now many companies offer their services for the installation of a hygienic shower.

Of course, this requires additional costs, but in this case, the likelihood that everything will be done correctly increases.

Which model is better to choose?

In the table below, we have indicated the models that belong to the category of the cheapest. Prices in online stores range from 1,000 rubles to 15,000 and more. The most expensive are models with a built-in mixer and thermostat.

Not all bathrooms allow you to install a bidet, and the level of comfort after appropriate manipulations is completely different. But for those whose areas do not allow you to install an additional bowl, there are several different ways make a hygienic shower for the toilet. Some methods require large material costs, others are quite affordable for families with an average income.

Hygienic shower for the toilet - there are several options

What the market has to offer

It is certainly convenient to have a bidet in the bathroom, but not every apartment can have it. But that doesn't mean that small bathroom This is a reason to refuse such a procedure. There are several different ways to organize the conditions for this procedure:

All of the above methods are good. But it is the mixer for a hygienic shower that is the most attractive solution. There are models for the installation of which do not require repair and complex manipulations. You can connect the device to an existing system, or you can put a faucet with a special tap on the sink, to which you can connect a hygienic shower head. We will talk further about the varieties of these devices and the features of their connection.

Pros and cons compared to a bidet

There is no need to argue about what is more convenient - a pair of toilet + bidet or a hygienic shower for the toilet. Everyone decides for himself. Let's take a quick look at the main pros and cons of both devices:

Oddly enough, it is the latter fact that is often decisive - an additional bonus in the form of extended functionality is always pleasant. The pluses of showers include the possibility of organizing for relatively little money. But this is about devices with a mixer.

Types of hygienic showers with a mixer

According to the installation method, there are two types of faucets for hygienic showers with mixers:

  • for sink;
  • wall-mounted
    • internal installation
    • outdoor installation.

Each of these options has pros and cons.

On the sink

If you put a hygienic shower on the sink, installation becomes much easier. All that is needed in this case is to replace the mixer. It has a separate output to which it is connected flexible hose with a watering can. All you have to do is mount the holder on the wall. The location of the sink in this case is also important. Ideally, if you can reach the tap without getting up. Since such models have the following feature of work: first, the faucet on the washbasin is turned on, the water temperature is set on it. Water naturally flows into the sink. When you press the button on the shower, the faucet is blocked, water flows through the watering can. As soon as the key was released, the water again poured into the sink. Here is the principle of operation.

Installing a hygienic shower on a sink is easy and simple

Wall mounted concealed

If you chose wall variant, the complexity of installation depends on how you plan to install it. Often in the bathroom or toilet there is a niche in which all communications are hidden. Often it is located behind the toilet or somewhere nearby. In this case, you can connect there, and install the mixer on the shield or come up with some other option.

Regular installation provides for wall chasing, laying hot and cold water supply pipes into the strobes, and at the final stage - installation of the mixer itself.

Wall-mounted surface mounted (with thermostat)

These are not all varieties. There is also a hygienic shower with a mixer, which is connected only to cold water. This does not mean that the procedures are carried out cold water. Just installed in the case instantaneous electric heater. Such models are only for outdoor installation, since you cannot wall the thermostat into the wall. Connection to water - using a flexible hose, the device itself is attached to the wall with dowels or other suitable fasteners.

The temperature is set on the regulator, maintained accurately. Only immediately after switching on, you need to wait a while - a few seconds until it warms up a heating element. A very good option for those who do not have hot water in the toilet (or at all). Yes, remember that these models require an electrical connection.

An interesting installation option without gating in the next video - the liner is laid over the walls, but closed with a box. It also has a watering can holder. It is worth paying attention to those who do not foresee repairs in the toilet or bathroom.

Where to put

The installation height of the hygienic shower for the toilet is chosen almost arbitrarily. The only requirement is that the faucet must be installed above the toilet. There are no other restrictions.

The installation location is absolutely arbitrary, the main criterion is ease of use, which is difficult to achieve in small bathrooms. Therefore, we recommend that before making a final decision, it is good to think over everything and do all the actions with the watering can. This is the only way to be sure that it will be really convenient to use.

Mounting Features

It is possible to say specifically how to install a hygienic shower for a toilet bowl only on the spot. Too much different nuances which simply cannot be taken into account. The principle of connection is simple: supply cold and hot water to the corresponding inputs. That's all. And how to do it, with pipes or flexible piping - the choice is yours. Of course, pipes are more reliable, but high-quality flexible hoses in a good braid can last for years.

There is only one nuance that is worth remembering. When connecting a hygienic shower to hot and cold water ( centralized system) be sure to set Ball Valves and check valves. Taps are almost always installed, but check valves are often forgotten.

This check valve. During installation, turn it so that the arrow on the body coincides with the direction of water flow

They are needed so that water from the “cold” riser is not mixed into the hot one and vice versa. Usually it happens just the opposite - you open cold water, and boiling water flows from there, but there are also reverse cases - hot water periodically becomes not hot at all. This is all because someone on your riser didn't install a check valve when you connected the hygienic shower to the toilet. The tap was opened, the shower is not used yet, and through the open mixer, water from one riser is mixed into another. What kind of water where will he go depends on where the pressure is higher. Usually higher in hot risers (almost twice), because such cases are more common. But mixing cold is possible. In general, do not forget to put shut-off valves. They cost mere pennies (compared to the cost of equipment), but they prevent unpleasant situations and proceedings with an operational campaign and “happy” neighbors.

What to think of if a bidet is needed in the bathroom, but there is nowhere to put it? A good option- hygienic shower. It can be installed next to the toilet and then this popular item of sanitary ceramics will also become a bidet. What should be considered in order to correctly install a hygienic shower in the bathroom?

The location of the hygienic shower

The specifics of using such a piece of equipment for a bathroom or toilet room implies rather stringent requirements for its placement. And the first of them concerns the question at what height to hang a hygienic shower. Usually it is not placed very high, because it is used not only for its intended purpose - for hygiene and medical procedures, but also for cleaning the toilet bowl, for filling containers with water, for example, during cleaning, tidying shoes, dog paws after a walk, washing baby potty, cat tray and so on. Experts also believe that optimal height installation of a hygienic shower in the toilet about 80-85 cm from the floor. At the same time, he should be at arm's length and, accordingly, with right hand from a person sitting on the toilet, if the calculation is right-handed. Only in this case the use of this equipment will be as convenient as possible. Especially if the installation of a hygienic shower is dictated by the recommendations of a doctor and for medical reasons (doctors advise water procedures, for example, in the event of diseases of the rectum or gynecological problems).

Depending on the reasons for the appearance of a hygienic shower in the house, it can be installed both in the bath and in the toilet, and connected to the bath, to the toilet, to the sink, and to the riser. This equipment for hygienic and medical procedures will be a good help when caring for seriously ill people or when there are small children in the family.

Installation work

A standard hygienic shower kit consists of a shower head with a button or lever to turn on the water supply, a hose, a wall holder on which the watering can is hung, and a mixer. Installing a hygienic shower in a toilet involves several mounting options.

First option. The easiest way is to connect such a system to the sink. But this is only possible if a hygienic shower is planned to be installed in a combined bathroom, or when there is enough space in the toilet to place a sink next to the toilet, and there should be a small distance between them. The watering can in this case can be placed between the sink and the toilet, fixing the holder for it on the wall, directly on the sink or above it. The latter option is even more convenient, since water droplets will remain in the sink, and not drip onto the floor. For this installation option, you only need to purchase a hygienic shower head and a holder, and then combine this system with a sink mixer. True, the mixer in this case must necessarily have a special exit to a hygienic shower. If there is no such outlet on the installed faucet, then you will have to replace the faucet when installing a hygienic shower in order to meet the requirements.

Second option. It is suitable for installing a hygienic shower in a toilet where only the toilet is located. A fairly simple installation method, you just need to decide how to place the hygienic shower in relation to the toilet. There may be several solutions. Firstly, such a shower can be installed on the same wall near which the toilet is installed, then you will have to turn around to use it, since the object you are looking for will be behind you. Secondly, it can be placed on the wall on the right or left (whichever is more convenient for you). Thirdly, on the opposite wall from the toilet, if it does not contain a doorway and is close enough for the watering can to easily reach the toilet bowl. It makes sense to weigh the pros and cons and find optimal location, after which it is necessary to bring water to it, connect the mixer. The list of works essentially differs little from the installation of a conventional wall mixer, which is installed on hot and cold water pipes connected to the installation site. The best way to demonstrate how to install a hygienic shower in the toilet is a video. Numerous craftsmen willingly share their experience. Here is one version of the video, which tells how to install a hygienic shower in the toilet.

Third option. The so-called hidden or built-in installation method, when all the plumbing is hidden in the wall, and only a watering can with a hose and a control panel remain on the surface, is perhaps the most aesthetic. But it will take longer to mess around with the installation. You can hide the water supply pipes either behind a plasterboard false wall, which will invariably “eat up” the area of \u200b\u200bthe already small bathroom space, as a rule, or in strobes, which is more convenient to do during a major overhaul of the room.

If it is not planned to cover the wall with drywall, then a recess must be made for the installation box of the mixer in the wall at the place of its installation. It is most accurately obtained using a crown of the required size.

Install the mounting box, firmly fastening it to the wall, and mount the functional part of the mixer. Next, lay the water supply pipes in the strobes. Connect the system by first shutting off the water supply.

Check the tightness of all connections.

Plaster the strobes, level and putty the walls.

Fix the holder for the hygienic shower head on the wall.

Close the outlets of the mixer pipes with a decorative panel.

Connect a flexible hose to the mixer, connecting it to a watering can.

Fourth option. You can connect a hygienic shower directly to the toilet and even provide for mounting the holder on it. But in this case, special wiring is required.

Fifth option. Installing a hygienic shower with a thermostat will make it more convenient and economical to use. The installation method itself differs little from the wall and hidden installations proposed above. True, a special tap must be provided in the built-in mixer. This is a metal element into which water enters. It just connects to the hose. By the way, when choosing a faucet with a thermostat, pay attention to the fact that there are models of hygienic showers, where this outlet also acts as a holder for a watering can. Convenient, agree?

Should be taken into account!

  • Decide on the place and method of installing a hygienic shower before buying specific model, since each model has certain installation conditions that you may not have.
  • Some models are designed for connection to one pipe, which is also worth paying attention to.
  • Experts pay attention to the fact that brass faucets are more reliable than silumin models.
  • The defining moment is the length of the connecting hose, since when using a hygienic shower, it should not reach the toilet bowl in an interference fit.
  • If you are willing to pay a little more for comfort, then it is better to purchase a model with a thermostat.
  • In some showers, the water on button has to be constantly pressed during use, while others are equipped with latches much more conveniently.
  • When installing a shower equipped with a thermostat, as well as when installing a shower on a sink, you should make sure that the watering can and the hose are not constantly under pressure, and therefore the water on the faucet and thermostat must be turned off. Otherwise, the watering can quickly fail.
