The concept of lighting in all spaces of the office is individual; each meeting room has its own lighting solution, corresponding to the format and tasks.

Olga Mamaeva

With the advent of office space, the question of their convenient, comfortable, custom design. When designing a space, it is required to perform it in a single style, correctly position necessary furniture, organize a certain number of jobs for employees, creating the most favorable atmosphere. Often, interior designers try to portray the design of the office so that a single space is preserved, and the style remains recognizable. Design should contribute to increased efficiency - this is its fundamental difference from the design of the apartment. For getting best result, the arrangement of the office should be entrusted to famous design organizations.

Types of office design

Office - multifunctional, complex organized space, especially if a large number of people with different specialties work there. It can be located in a house, cottage, any other property. The office may have a travel agency, a legal consultation office, a construction office, an advertising agency. Depending on the direction of the organization's work, convenience for staff, there are three principles of improvement.

Corridor office

This development plan is a closed space, which is typical for Russian businessmen. Corridor-cabinet system is practical, it contributes to the normal process of work, increase productivity, good relations workers among themselves. Example closed system– any government agency, company, department. It is rarely used abroad.
One of the main features is the presence of long corridors, on both sides of which there are office doors. Each of them has a plate on which the name of the department, full name, position of the employee is indicated.

Experts consider the corridor-cabinet layout of offices to be the best solution for companies where work is organized according to a linear-functional principle. The organization of closed branches has a great effect on the labor processes taking place in them.

open space

Interior designers propose to use a single solution for the entire room, calling it Open Space - open space. This is the most democratic style of office improvement, so far little used in the countries of the "former union". Examples of such design are found in American films. The main feature of the office is the zoning of the entire area of the premises. There are practically no blank high walls, private rooms, closed doors are available only in the toilets. Thus, the company saves time and money, employees of related departments do not have to run to different offices if they just need to transfer some document, contract. Zoning is carried out using portable screens and partitions.

Management experts say that landscaping with Open Space methods is good for developing communication skills in a team, coordination between different positions, due to the rejection of walls.

Open Space is divided into three design styles:

  • Japanese– a description of the Asian style of the office is ideal for a multifunctional space. It's cozy and comfortable here. Distinctive features- clear lines, simple shapes, asymmetrical furniture and decorative elements, smooth shiny surfaces. Strict zoning reigns here, according to all the rules of the hierarchy. Specialists are on the same common platform, the working area of each is separated by a partition. Opposite the division is the workplace of the middle manager. In the "Japanese" office there is an atmosphere of collectivism, purposefulness, high discipline;
  • American– dynamic, slightly aggressive, “breathing” with creativity and activity. American Open Space - there are no partitions, columns, walls, there is a lot of metal, glass. This is a spacious room, divided into zones by furniture. A variety of style - "Manhattan" or "Wall Street" - is most in demand in modern design. There are no trinkets, flowers on the window, there are only elements necessary for money-making activities. The main thing is comfortable, efficient work, efficiency. metal objects create an impression of calmness - this is important when making decisions. With the help of glass, the internal space expands - partitions are made of it. Design unites employees, directing them to achieve a common goal. The style seems overly strict, but in fact, such an interior gives a feeling of representativeness of the company. Designers recommend decorating the office with high-tech lamps, paintings, modern furniture making it interesting and special. The windows here are huge - up to the floor, they give a lot of light, there is no atmosphere of fatigue, oppression. IN office building on the upper floors management is located, on the lower level - the middle link and specialists. The fact that the company is successful is evidenced by expensive accessories.
  • European is divided into five subspecies: in the Scandinavian interior there are many items made of natural light wood, laminate, metal; the German office is decorated with heavy, bulky furniture made of quality wood; Italian style creates the impression of a large refined space, lightness and elegance; in the French office furniture is laminated with metal parts; English style is diverse in color scheme, which is combined with corporate colors.

Mixed

Huge demand in modern Russia have offices decorated in a mixed style. With such improvement, it is easy for the company's management to expand the scope of activities, to realize various concepts. There is both an open space and traditional offices, individual workplaces and common ones, for collective work on one task. The classic interior of the office is combined with high-tech details, minimalism - with Scandinavian, retro-style - with Chinese.

When choosing an interior design, they take into account the size of the budget required for improvement, the scope of the company, and ways of organizing work in it.

Office premises can be of various sizes and configurations. The area of the smallest office-offices in Russian business centers is 17-25 sq. m. This is a place to work 3-4 people. The most popular are offices with an area of 28-35 square meters. m - they can be creatively landscaped in their own way, effectively using every meter. If you have two or three adjoining offices, you can organize an open space by simply removing extra walls, or just one of them - a mixed office type. According to statistics in Russia, approximately 15% of office space is not used rationally, due to initially unsuccessful planning. In Western countries, almost all offices are designed according to the principle of Open Space, only the management has offices.

Employee divisions

It is important to take into account that when different types work, on various equipment, each workplace requires a certain area and other parameters:

  • if the work is carried out on old computers, then each person is allocated about 6 square meters;
  • on modern, liquid crystal or plasma displays - 4.5-5 square meters;
  • the distance from the screen to the screen of monitors standing one after the other - 2 m;
  • when performing creative or demanding work, places should be separated from each other by partitions up to 2 m high.

The concept of an “employee workplace” does not include furniture or aisles - this is additional space that needs to be optimized. Double-sided tables for two workers will take up much less space than two separate ones. Cabinets and racks are replaced with many shelves, saving usable space.

Depending on the specifics of the work, a computer and a telephone can be located on each table, and a printer, fax, copier - in a conspicuous place, but for use by the whole unit. Noisy devices should be located next to noise absorbing panels. Server hardware is best placed in a separate utility room. Paper documents are stored in an archive - it can be a small safe or an entire room. Accounting, reception, personnel department, head of the company can be located in separate rooms. For each of the premises, a certain set of furniture is provided - work tables with chairs, cabinets for outerwear and documentation, computers, office equipment.

Management is almost always in a separate office - it's quiet, comfortable, beautiful, there is a sufficient level of privacy for serious work. Usually this is a room with an area of 10-15 square meters, up to four people can work in it at the same time. The interior reflects the activities of the company, is designed using elements of corporate identity. The boss's desk is preferably large, with many drawers, preferably with rounded edges so that the atmosphere does not seem too strict. Sometimes the manager's room is fenced off only by a high glass partition with one-way visibility, so that it is easy to observe subordinates.

Meeting room

In a separate, most often closed space, there is a negotiating room or a conference room. Required attribute here is big table. It can be T-shaped, rectangular - then the director is in front of everyone. For negotiations with equal partners, psychologists recommend round or oval, since this form allows you not to single out anyone separately. Luxurious cushioned furniture also emphasize the solidity of the enterprise. A mandatory attribute of a conference room is intercom equipment, preferably built-in, multimedia devices.

Recreation areas can be located in a separate place in the common room or in a separate room. Employees should be able to rest during lunch and other breaks.

Rest rooms should have:

  • sofas;
  • armchairs;
  • table for food;
  • coffee tables.

All this looks like a strict environment or "business mess", there may be houseplants, decorative fountains, board games. Lighting should be soft, relaxing. Soundproofing the room is also desirable.

Basic office interior styles

There are several architectural styles of office layout:

  1. loft- originates from New York in the 40s, as an economy option. Classic loft offices are located in the former premises of factories and plants. These are huge rooms with a minimum of partitions, panoramic windows, high ceilings, brick or brick-like walls, board or concrete floors. Engineering systems do not hide, but emphasize, decorate;
  2. modern- light, elegant, original. It has a lot of glass, forged objects, metal shelving, pastel colors and contrasting black and gray elements;
  3. modern - functional, practical, mostly Open Space with a friendly atmosphere, excellent communication between employees of different departments. Much attention is paid to proper zoning, mobility, ergonomics. Its features are an abundance of light, simple forms, latest materials finishes;
  4. classical- Conservative, bulky, respectable. The area of such projects is measured in several thousand square meters. Indispensable attributes - "status" materials: marble, natural wood, carved panels, porcelain stoneware and more. There are many offices and meeting rooms, high-tech equipment, modern decor.

Selection of office furniture

Furniture for a modern office is preferably ergonomic, mobile - then, if necessary, it will be easy to change the layout. Worktables can be rectangular, L-shaped, U-shaped, X-shaped, asymmetric. For teamwork, a round or oval table is convenient. office chairs chairs must be suitable for many hours of work in them. The reception also needs special furniture - a reception desk with many shelves and drawers. Sofas for the rest room are selected taking into account how many people are supposed to rest at the same time.

In the chief's office, high-quality, solid furniture is needed, creating the effect of rigor, the seriousness of the company's activities. useful item are briefing consoles - they help to quickly change the configuration of the table, expanding its area. Cabinets for documentation are often used. Additional items include shelves, hangers, screens. Many furniture companies sell interior items in sets at once: “for the boss’s office”, “meeting room furniture”, etc.

Lighting - how it should be

The level of illumination in office premises should be sufficient for normal operation of any employee - for each specialty it is prescribed individually in normative documents. Preferably multi-level lighting: general and individual for each workplace, especially in autumn and winter, when natural light lacks. The maximum amount of light is required for working at a computer, drawing, reading. In the waiting room for clients, the corridors are much smaller. Warm light relaxes, cold light keeps you in suspense.

Intelligently controlled LED lights are preferred.

Materials and finishing methods

The interior decor of any office is recommended to be used minimally, without littering the space. Corporate identity should be considered in the first place. Used to decorate partitions colored glass or drywall, for walls - paintings, clocks, artificial and natural plants on shelves. Ceiling and table lamps can also be a decorative element, emphasizing the corporate identity. The floor is preferably non-slippery and durable - various types of tiles, laminate, floorboards, thick linoleum with an original pattern, carpet. The ceiling should provide sound insulation, preferably stretch, suspended ceilings that hide engineering Communication, ventilation. Glass looks good. Roller blinds, blinds, curtains are used to decorate windows. Stairs should be comfortable for a quiet ascent and descent, not too steep, with the same decor as the rest of the room.

Nobody wants to disappear in a dull office, but to work where a friendly team and an almost homely atmosphere is everyone's dream.

Room layout

At a minimum, the office of the company houses the chief's office, accounting, employees' offices, and small household premises. It is important that any employee has unhindered access to any of these places, but at the same time does not cause inconvenience to others: the correct layout will add comfort and work time will save.

With particular seriousness, you need to approach the location of the workplaces of employees. If it is impossible to “redraw” the building - demolish or add partitions, then there are several less ambitious, but no less effective methods of creating comfort:

  • Divide the space into zones. For example, on working area and zone common use. Cabinets with documents necessary for the work of all employees should not be located far from the entrance to the office or very close to one of the workplaces. Workplaces, on the contrary, try to move away from the front door.
  • No work chair should be turned with its back to visitors - this Golden Rule comfort. And even if there is not enough free space, it is better to reduce the common area than to make an additional workplace “with your back to the exit”.
  • Mirrors, today, are one of the most successful methods of expanding space, even if not the most original. But the use of mirrors in an office interior is very different from the use in living rooms, bedrooms, and other home rooms. If at home you get used to long mirrored corridors, then it will be difficult for a person who first entered the office to navigate. Therefore, give up mirror labyrinths or hang interior stickers on them (approximately the same as in shopping malls), allowing you to distinguish reality from the "mirror".

Guided by these rules, you can also independently develop the interior of a small office, there are only two restrictions: no complex shapes (including furniture) and a riot of colors. Take all the unused space: above the ceiling, above the doorway, perhaps even a window sill, shelves, racks, interior boxes (as a budget, temporary option) will come in handy for this.

Finishing a modern office does not always imply new interior styles, such as hi-tech, minimalism, modern. A modern office is simply the use of new materials for flooring, walls, and ceilings. After all, the room can be in the style of vintage, postmodernism, and even pop art, but if we still talk about style and decoration, then a modern office is most often a European style - a combination of minimalism, ergonomics and beauty.

A modern office involves a large number of people: permanent employees, clients, one-time visitors, couriers, etc. Everyone should be comfortable. If there is enough space, then it is worth providing two recreation areas:

  • Recreation area for visitors. This is usually located small sofa, sometimes armchairs. A small table or cabinet for promotional items and magazines, as well as a water cooler and a coffee machine would also be appropriate.
  • Recreation area for employees. For this zone, a room hidden from prying eyes is more suitable. There is usually a kitchen, wardrobes for outerwear and shoes, personal lockers for employees. Sometimes there may be an additional place with a computer.

Mood in the office

The color and style of the office is directly related to the activities of the company. Nothing good will come of it if the office of a construction company uses the design of a travel agency office. But it is possible to distinguish common features: in any office there should be something that catches the eye, for example, wall decoration (embossed wallpaper, painting), furniture decoration (leather, glass, plastic), details (sculptures, utensils, etc.).

The situation in the world of office design

According to professional interior designers: Office design is a culture that has not yet flourished in Russia". Unlike Western countries, in our country, little attention is paid to the convenience, beauty and uniqueness of the workspace. Not every Russian realizes that the workplace is important element living space. In fact, and in general, it is connected with the culture of doing business. In general, the situation is as follows.

Many tenants or owners of office space simply do not feel the need to create beautiful interiors. Such people believe that a beautiful interior is of little use. Not many of those who have their own office are convinced that the design of the office can increase the potential of the company. As a result, out of the total mass of owners and tenants, only 10% pay attention to the beauty and practicality of in-ra. Which side is the truth on?

As always, opinions are divided, and this is not surprising. Some are skeptical about office design, others are enthusiastic about it. One way or another, it is worth noting that most of the companies whose offices have attractive interiors are successful companies. However, even among the successful companies there are those that operate in offices with a disgusting atmosphere.

An office is a place where more than half of the country's working population spends at least 9 hours a day. A workplace in which the environment plays a significant role in terms of the efficiency of business processes. The person of the company, which in one way or another encourages employees and customers of the company to conclude certain agreements. A place where, for one reason or another, the success of negotiation processes directly depends on what design the company will be presented with.

At times and/or at first glance, the thought of an impressive design and attractive office interior may seem redundant. But this is only at first glance. Only a 10th part of clients who have concluded a contract for service or purchase in the office admits or realizes that the design of the environment influenced their decision. In fact, it is the atmosphere of the environment, expressed in D-I and multiplied by the attitude of employees, that is the foundation for the success of business premises.

Disputes about the indirectness and obviousness of Dr.'s influence on business processes have not subsided since then. Everyone tries to defend his point of view and draw maximum attention to his assessment, regardless of the degree of objectivity and constructiveness of the position. Some argue that the appropriate design is already 70% of success, while others, not sharing such optimism, argue that the interior should not be given special attention. Some insist that in-er is nothing more than a screen; others try to convince their opponents that harmony is an attractive and effective tool. In general, a complete lack of consensus!

Everyone and always argues about what is the most effective tool for attracting a client. However, those who are most often guided by common sense and objectivity perceive such discussions in the following context. In a design world where the office is seen as structural element Achieving a goal is all relative!

Tasks and goals

Unlike the design of living space, office design has slightly different goals. That's why theoretical process creating commercial interiors at the project level has its own specifics. In addition to creating a beautiful and practical image, the office designer needs to make sure that this image is a catalyst for the working atmosphere. Not just a beautiful office interior, but an office space in which, one way or another, there is a desire to work.

If an apartment is a place where a person, as a rule, rests, then an office is a place where he works. But how to make the interior provoke working capacity in the mind of a person, because, as you know, a person is a lazy creature by nature. The solution to this difficult task lies in the plane of knowledge of psychology and design art.

In order for a person to have a desire to work productively, not only in connection with financial motivation, but also with reflection, a directed influence on consciousness is necessary. In general, such an impact can be an excellent tool for improving efficiency and, as a result, efficiency. You can find out how to achieve this.

bad image

Office interiors that inspire confidence and generate positive. Myth, fairy tale or reality? What do they look like and is it possible in principle? Perhaps, the designers answer and point to a number of aspects and research.

Agree that it is unpleasant to be in the office interior, which looks like yesterday's day of deep drinking. Some may disagree, but that's a personal matter. For those who agree and are aware of the horror of such a picture of life, it should be clear what exactly is meant by the word horror. The picture is unpleasant in all respects, especially if business communication takes place in the plot of such a picture. Bad, isn't it? Therefore, before you doubt the benefits of a competent design, you should think about the possible losses associated with its absence.

If the interior of your office is beyond doubt, that's good. However, if you think that something is wrong in the in-er, then it's time to act.

Stylish look

In order for in-er to be a harmonious component of the scenario of the company's activity, it is necessary right choice style. The office should not just look beautiful, but be decorated in the appropriate style. The composition of the interior should correspond to the profile and image of the company.

For example, if a company sells electronics, then the design of the sales office can be so. If you need an interior for real estate transactions, then it may look like So. There are many examples of design and they are all different, but harmoniously corresponding to what the office is intended for.

Area is the reason...

To a greater extent, the choice of design option depends on the area of \u200b\u200bthe office space. Not every style is able to reveal the essence of its splendor in a very limited space. If the area is small, then there are fewer options for appropriate design and vice versa. In a large office space, it is possible to implement many more design scenarios.

The fact is that for the implementation of many storylines, a kind of planning solution is needed. The ability to create various planning solutions allows the designer to operate with all the variety of interior styles.

IN small room the possibility of creating a mass of planning decisions is absent by definition. Therefore, a reasonable choice of style for an office interior is most often dictated by the size of the area (S). For example, in order to effectively implement a design art deco/art deco office ideas need a lot of space. At least that's what our experts say.

Restroom

If the area allows, then in the office it is necessary to equip a rest room. This is a very important component of creating a harmonious atmosphere in a cozy workspace. A place where you can relax, take a breath or abstractly concentrate on a particular task.

For all large companies, lounges are an integral part of the interior. This approach to the formation of the working atmosphere is not accidental. It has been proven that an abstract and relaxed atmosphere contributes to the search for non-standard, but competent, correct and necessary solutions.
