Fertilizing plants with yeast: the best recipes, effective methods and reviews. Feed the flowers with yeast

Good afternoon friends!

What to do to have our favorite flowers on the windowsills all year round were green, beautiful, rampant in bloom?

And the secret of luxury indoor flower garden corny simple: plants need to be well fed. We eat three times a day, so flowers need a varied diet.

Moreover, for feeding indoor flowers, you can use home remedies that every housewife has, and it is not at all necessary to buy them in a store.

When and how to fertilize

First you need to understand general rules how and when to apply flower food.

When to feed plants

If your plant has stretched out, the stems have become thin, if growth has stopped or slowed down, the leaves have turned pale, light spots have appeared on them, the plant refuses to bloom, then most likely it does not have enough nutrition.

But you don’t need to bring flowers to such a terrible state, you need to feed them regularly.

Already in March, when the sun begins to look into the windows more and more often and the flowers start to grow, you should start feeding them once every two weeks. And continue to feed in this mode until October.

Top dressing is applied both during growth and during flowering.

From October to February, plants usually have a dormant period, they, like bears, plunge into hibernation and do not require additional nutrition. The exception is those that bloom in winter. Winter-flowering can occasionally be fed, but not more than once a month.

Although flower growers still do not recommend doing this during the dark season from November to December.

How to properly fertilize

Important! In no case should top dressing be applied to dry land, as this can damage the plant and burn its roots.

First, we water the flowers, and after they have quenched their thirst (the next day after watering), we feed them.

Top dressing for flowers is applied both in dry form and diluted in water.

Dry products are scattered on the surface of the earth, then the soil needs to be loosened and lightly watered.

Top dressing, diluted with water, water the plant around the entire bush, preferably closer to the edge of the pot. It is not necessary to fill in, fertilizers are required to be applied very little. We must use only pre-settled water, and not from the tap, room temperature.

Sometimes top dressing is used in the form of spraying.

Homemade fertilizers for indoor flowers from our kitchen

The most diverse composition of vitamins and microelements of top dressing can be found in our kitchen. Fertilizing indoor flowers with home remedies is no worse than store-bought fertilizers, and besides, they are completely natural. So do not rush to throw away onion peels, egg shells, orange and banana peels, coffee grounds.

What dressings for indoor flowers can be used and how to prepare them, my further story.

Yeast

Probably the most famous, popular and effective top dressing for flowers - yeast. After all, they contain a lot of usefulness, including phytohormones, B vitamins that stimulate growth, and others.

Yeast top dressing is equated to full mineral fertilizer.

It has a positive effect on root system, causes increased growth and flowering, and also improves the microflora of the earth. Your flowers will grow by leaps and bounds!

Recipe

If you have natural pressed yeast, take 10 grams of them, stir in one liter of warm water, add a tablespoon of sugar.

Dry yeast should be taken 1 gram per liter of water + 1 teaspoon of sugar.

We insist this mixture for 2-3 hours.

Before applying top dressing, it will still need to be diluted with water in a ratio of 1: 5 (1 glass of infusion to 5 glasses of water).

Beer

In fact, the same yeast, only we are not talking about pasteurized beer from bottles, but about live beer, which is bottled in pubs.

If, after some gatherings, you still have a little of such a drink (although, this is unlikely, well, don’t be sorry, leave at least a little bit for your pets), you can also treat your plants.

When the beer hits the ground, it will continue to ferment there, releasing carbon dioxide, which will feed the plants.

200 grams of beer are taken per liter of water, mixed and poured with this solution once a week. You will see your plants come to life.

Coffee grounds

There is a lot of nitrogen in coffee, and plants love it very much, especially after winter. And the ground is home remedy makes loose and soft.

After preparing and drinking a morning drink, we dry the remaining coffee grounds and collect them in a jar, in a few days a fairly decent mass will be collected, which is enough for all your flowers.

We distribute a couple of teaspoons of dry thick along the edges of the pot, loosen, water. Everything is simple!

tea leaves

Dry tea brewing, as in the previous recipe, is brought into the ground, this will be fertilizer for home flowers.

Or you can just water the plants with unfinished tea, even sweet. Ferns especially like to drink tea.

But do not overdo it and rarely use such top dressing, because black flies also love it.

Sugar

Feeding indoor flowers with sugar gives them energy, so almost all plants respect sweet water, and cacti most of all.

Dissolve one tablespoon of sugar in a liter of water and water the flowers.

onion peel

Onion peel is useful to us not only for coloring eggs, but also a wonderful flower food from it!

We will need to prepare a decoction.

We put a good handful of husks in a saucepan, pour two liters of hot water into it and cook for 5 minutes over low heat.

After the broth has stood with us for a couple of hours, it should be filtered and used for spraying or watering flowers.

This decoction is not stored for a long time, so pour out the leftovers immediately. And the procedure can be repeated in a month.

Eggshell

The egg shell is rich in calcium, which is also necessary for our pets.

Therefore, shells from peeled boiled eggs (you can also use raw ones) are also not thrown away, we collect, dry, grind in a mortar, pusher or other convenient way. Preferably very finely, into crumbs and even dust.

Shredded shells can be used to feed plants in a dry form, sprinkling the surface of the earth and burying.

And you can insist them in water (a teaspoon of crushed shells per liter of water) and use for irrigation.

To prepare 1 drop of iodine, stir in a liter of water. Water very carefully along the edge of the pot so that the roots do not get burned. On one pot you can pour no more than 50 ml of the product.

Hydrogen peroxide

My favorite remedy- hydrogen peroxide. It not only saves me from the flu, but also helps the plants come to life right before my eyes.

Peroxide has an oxidizing effect, antiseptic properties, heals not only the leaves, but also the earth, protects against pests, and is a good prevention of diseases.

This remedy is Ambulance for withering plants as well as.

1 tablespoon is diluted in a liter of water and the leaves of plants are sprayed once a week, but only for those who like spraying. Other flowers can be watered with this composition.

In detail, he will talk very interestingly about peroxide as a good top dressing for flowers in his video.

Let's sum up. As you can see, there are quite a few home remedies available that can be used as houseplant food. It is better to alternate them. We bought bananas, make top dressing from their peel, bake pies - set aside some yeast for your pets, and pour sweet water or sprinkle with peroxide - much easier.

Let your favorite flowers delight and thank you for your work!

Yeast nutrition for plants is a fertilizer organic origin, which has complete environmental friendliness and a huge supply of useful components. This becomes an important reason for its so frequent use. experienced gardeners. Let us consider in more detail information about this type of plant fertilizer.

Why are yeast useful for plants?

Yeasts are an incredible help for many plants. The reasons for their use may be different, because for some the main role is played by the amount of the crop, and someone simply takes care of its cleanliness in an ecological sense.

Let us consider in more detail about the benefits of such top dressing for plants:

  • Help in the formation and development of the root system.
  • Accelerated growth of the whole culture.
  • Creation of favorable microflora, which overwhelmingly affects pathogenic organisms.
  • Restructuring of the soil composition and accelerated processing of organic components, and as a result, there appears large quantity nitrogen (N), potassium (K).
  • Culture is able to develop even under adverse factors, such as insufficient lighting.
  • Reduces the likelihood of disease and infection.
  • At times, the endurance of culture increases.
  • Seedlings do not stretch upward and tolerate the picking process better.

Due to the accelerated growth of the plant, a greater number of shoots are formed, which as a result leads to an increase in yield.

The composition and action of yeast

The composition of yeast includes the following useful components:

  • Phosphorus (P);
  • Sodium (Na);
  • Calcium (Ca);
  • Cagnium (Mg);
  • Iron (Fe);
  • Vitamins: B, C, PP, K, Choline;
  • Carbohydrates and proteins.

In order for yeast nutrition to bring only benefits, it is worth remembering that everything should be in moderation. Be sure to first familiarize yourself with the rules of conduct and important norms for cultures.

What crops can be fertilized with yeast?

Yeast nutrition has beneficial effect almost all plants. This also applies indoor crops, and garden, and garden. Fertilizers of this type even benefit trees.

Yeast is used especially often for fertilizer:

But it is also worth remembering that some plants cannot be fertilized with yeast, these include:

This is due to the fact that the resulting crop will be loose and in short time will fall into disrepair.

What yeast is used for top dressing?

There are many ways to prepare yeast-based nutrition for plants. The method depends on the goals pursued.

The following types of yeast can be used:

  • dry;
  • pressed;
  • live beer;
  • dead beer.

How to grow more crops?

Any gardener and summer resident is pleased to receive big harvest with large fruits. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to get the desired result.

Often plants lack nutrition and useful minerals

It has the following properties:

  • Allows increase yield by 50% in just a few weeks of use.
  • You can get good harvest even on low-fertility soils and in adverse climatic conditions
  • Absolutely safe

How to breed yeast: the right proportions

Feeding can be done different methods. This can be watering with a specially prepared solution or sourdough, or simply applying dry yeast directly to the soil. It is important to maintain the correct proportions.

Raw yeast nutrition

To prepare top dressing from raw yeast, you must:

  • take 1 kg of yeast itself and combine them with 5 liters of slightly warmed water;
  • leave the composition for 2-3 hours;
  • after the specified time, add it to 50 liters of water and stir.

The resulting fertilizer is applied to the roots of fruit plants.

Dry yeast nutrition

To prepare top dressing from dry yeast, you must:

  • yeast (dry) in an amount of 100 g add to slightly warmed water and stir;
  • leave the composition for 2-3 hours to infuse;
  • prepare 50 liters of water and pour the infused yeast composition into it;
  • mix and start fertilizing garden flowers, as well as seedlings.

Yeast dressing recipes

Recipes for preparing top dressings based on yeast are varied. It is important to pay attention to the fact that warm water is used for any of them, because otherwise the yeast may not wake up or show very little activity.

Consider several cooking options:

Yeast solution
  • dry yeast (10 g);
  • warm water (10 l);
  • sugar (6 tablespoons).

Mix the prepared ingredients and leave to infuse for 2 hours. After that, you can start using the resulting solution.

Grass and yeast fertilizer For cooking you will need:
  • green grass (1 bucket);
  • crackers (½ kg);
  • pressed yeast (½ kg).

Mix the ingredients in a 70 l barrel, close and leave for 2 days. Then you can start using.

Yeast in green manure To prepare this top dressing, you need fresh nettles. It must be carefully cut with scissors and tightly placed in a container so that ¾ of the total volume of the container is filled.

Dilute the yeast in water and pour the prepared herb, also not exceeding the above volume. Leave to ferment for a few days.

So organic fertilizer can , peppers, tomatoes, cabbage. In addition, this can be done regularly, observing an interval of 2 weeks.

When using green dressing for cabbage, it is necessary to insist it for 7 days, otherwise it can cause irreparable harm to the plant.

Yeast and sugar supplement According to this recipe, an effective sugar "mash" is obtained, stimulating the growth and development of some horticultural crops.

To prepare the mash you need:

  • yeast (100 g);
  • granulated sugar (½ cup);
  • warm water (3 l).

Mix the ingredients in a container and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved, and then cover the dishes with gauze and leave aside for 7 days to infuse.

Stories from our readers!
"I am a gardener with years of experience, and this fertilizer began to be used only last year. I tested it on the most capricious vegetable in my garden - on tomatoes. The bushes grew and bloomed together, the harvest was more than usual. And they didn’t suffer from late blight, this is the main thing.

Fertilizer really gives more intensive growth garden plants, and they bear fruit much better. Now you can’t grow a normal crop without fertilizer, and this top dressing increases the number of vegetables, so I am very pleased with the result."

Ways to feed plants with yeast

Fertilizing plants with yeast is divided into 2 types: root and root. Let us consider in more detail how each type of fertilizer is carried out and their frequency.

Root top dressing

The introduction of yeast root dressings is carried out in the following sequence:

It is important to remember that for seedlings planted in a new place, no more than ½ liter of the prepared substance per bush will be required. An adult mature plant should increase the dose to 2 liters.

foliar top dressing

Foliar top dressing is carried out at a time when root dressing cannot be carried out. This applies to weak, only seedlings planted in the ground (in open or in a greenhouse). Thanks to this top dressing, the plant grows foliage more quickly, becomes strong and hardy. In addition, the substance applied by spraying is absorbed faster.

It is important to remember that the yeast solution should be less concentrated than in the case of root dressings.

For open ground conditions, top dressing is carried out in the evening or non-sunny weather.

Yeast dressing for vegetables

Fertilization of vegetable crops with vegetables by yeast is very common. This is especially true for vegetables such as beets, carrots, and peppers. For beets and carrots, three yeast feedings per season are required. For cabbage, a two-time fertilizer per season is enough. About the fertilizer of tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers in more detail further.

Top dressing tomato

The very first top dressing of a tomato is carried out a week after planting in greenhouses or street conditions. The volume of the solution for each bush should be ½ liter.

The second dressing is performed before flowering. Here the dose of the solution is increased to 1 ½ liters.

For yeast dressing intended for tomatoes, you will need:

  • fresh yeast (30 g);
  • extract from manure (½ l);
  • wood ash (2 tbsp.);
  • sugar (5 tablespoons);
  • warm water (10 l).

Mix the prepared ingredients in a common container and dilute for fertilizer with water based on a ratio of 1:10. The diluted mass is very carefully watered near the trunk of the bush.

Feeding peppers

For peppers, yeast nutrition also plays an important role. It contributes to the development of foliage and root systems and the development of soil organisms, which greatly increase fertility.

To prepare food for this plant necessary

  1. Fresh yeast (1 kg) dissolved in warm water(5 l), and leave for 1 day to infuse.
  2. Before use, you need to add the composition to a container of water (50 l), stir and start watering.

It is important to remember that after the yeast top dressing for pepper, wood ash must also be added to the soil.

Top dressing of cucumbers

Yeast top dressing for cucumbers is important during the formation of the ovary and when the fruit ripening period begins. Thanks to this fertilizer, you can minimize the number of barren flowers formed. In addition, plants become more resilient to environmental factors.

To do yeast nutrition suitable for street and greenhouse conditions, would need:

  • fresh yeast (200 g);
  • water (10 l).

Yeast pour warm water, stir well and leave to infuse for 2 days. The resulting mass must be watered each bush. The volume of the poured composition for each plant should be ½ l.

Fertilizing indoor and garden flowers with yeast

Yeast-based fertilizer is also suitable for indoor and garden flowers. For these representatives, the effect is also obvious, and the costs are minimal.

To prepare top dressing for home plants you will need:

  • sugar (1 tsp);
  • dry yeast (1 g);
  • warm water (1 l).

Mix the ingredients in a common container and leave for 2-3 hours to infuse. After the specified time, dilute the resulting composition with water in a ratio of 1:5 and water the flowers.

The most favorable reactions to such top dressing are:

Among garden flowers, petunias are the most popular.

They will need to prepare the following solution:

  • fresh yeast (1 kg) dissolved in warm water (5 l);
  • stir and immediately dilute the resulting solution in water (10 l).

Top dressing of garden flowers is carried out 2 times a season. For one bush, no more than ½ liter of the prepared composition is required.

Top dressing of berry crops and trees

The consequences of yeast nutrition for strawberries (Victoria) are record harvests.

For her, it is necessary to carry out this process at least 3 times per season:

  • during the formation of buds;
  • at the very beginning of fruit ripening;
  • in the autumn after the completion of the fruiting process.

Preparation of the solution requires dry yeast (100 g), warm water (5 l). Leave for a day for fermentation, and before watering, dilute the resulting composition at the rate of: ½ liter of yeast composition per 10 liters of water.

Raspberries and currants are also often fertilized with yeast. Thanks to this product, the bushes develop more fully, and the fruiting is amazing.

To prepare top dressing you need:

  • dry yeast (1 sachet);
  • warm water (1 bucket);
  • sugar (½ cup).

Mix all ingredients and leave for 3 hours. The resulting solution before watering must be diluted with water based on a ratio of 1:5. You need to water each bush in the area of \u200b\u200bthe root system.

For grapes, top dressing prepared for watering is perfect cucumber seedlings. Therefore, you can immediately replenish the stock of useful components of both cultures.

How to prepare natural yeast?

In addition to the usual yeast intended for baking, you can prepare fertilizers based on bread, grain or hop cones.

The resulting substance contributes effective growth and the development of plants, thanks to the rapid activity of unicellular organisms in the prepared composition.

Sourdough from wheat grain

For its preparation it is necessary:

  • wheat grain - 1 glass;
  • water - 4 tbsp. l.;
  • wheat flour - 50 g;
  • sugar - 50 g.

How to prepare fertilizer:

  1. Prepared wheat must be germinated.
  2. Add water, flour and sugar to the sprouted grain.
  3. Place the container with the described contents on the stove and cook the composition on a fire of minimum intensity for 15 minutes, while stirring it constantly.
  4. Remove the container from the stove and leave the composition for fermentation for 2 days.
  5. Before use, add 10 liters of water to the resulting sourdough and mix.

Hop cone starter

To prepare, you will need the following list of ingredients:

  • hop cones - 1 cup;
  • water - 1 l;
  • wheat flour - 50 g;
  • sugar - 50 g;
  • potatoes, pre-cooked and grated - 100 g

Sourdough preparation process:

  1. Mix hop cones with water and put on fire of minimum intensity.
  2. Boil for 1 hour, and then remove from the stove and leave to cool completely.
  3. Add sugar and flour to the broth, place in a warm place.
  4. At the moment the fermentation of the composition begins, chopped potatoes must be added.
  5. Leave the mixture for a day.
  6. Before use, add 10 liters of water to the resulting sourdough and stir.

Conclusion

Yeast feeding of any plant is carried out no more than 3 times per season, but this is enough to make the culture stronger, hardier and more productive.

When fertilizing, it is important to remember the main rules:

  1. The yeast used must be fresh and of good quality.
  2. The soil at the time of feeding should warm up well.

If you apply these rules, fermentation will be complete, and the plant in the garden will feel as comfortable as possible and in the future will begin to grow "by leaps and bounds."

Video: plant nutrition with yeast

Yeast is an essential ingredient in baking and cooking, in the brewing industry, in the manufacture of alcohol and kvass. They are included in the composition of medicines and various dietary supplements. And everyone is already accustomed to the fact that these mushrooms are used in Food Industry and pharmacology, put homemade wine on them. However, in recent times for them come up with new areas of application, sometimes very unexpected. So, they began to be used to apply masks on the face or hair, and recently yeast solutions are used as a top dressing for indoor flowers and various horticultural and horticultural crops. How useful is it? And is there any sense in using this particular product as a fertilizer? Let's try to figure it out.

How does fertilizing with yeast affect indoor plants, is it possible to water home flowers with them

For indoor plants, as it turned out, this type of top dressing is very useful:

  • it well stimulates their growth, and is also a source of "good" bacteria needed in the soil;
  • it stimulates the growth of the root system several times. And the faster and more powerful the roots grow, the better it will develop. above-ground part plants;
  • thanks to the introduction of such top dressing, the plants become stronger and more resilient;
  • if indoor plants reproduce through seedlings, then it should also be fed with a yeast solution. In this case, the seedlings will be more stocky and easier to transplant.

Yeast fertilizer can also be used as foliar dressings– this also leads to excellent results.

As it turned out, such top dressing is useful and necessary not only for indoor plants, but also for garden flowers and vegetable plants. But this is worth talking about in a separate article.

Preparation of yeast fertilizer for watering flowers

Preparing yeast fertilizer to feed indoor flowers is very easy and simple. Moreover, there are several various recipes her preparation.

It all depends what product is at hand: dry concentrate or "raw" yeast.

This top dressing is cheap, it can always be purchased at the nearest store, and in order to cook good fertilizer for pets, a few minutes is enough.

Moreover, Even a novice houseplant lover can handle this.. Therefore, this type of fertilizer has become so popular among flower growers recently.

From dry concentrate

To prepare a mixture of dry concentrate, it is enough to dilute 1 tablespoon of it in a bucket of water- and top dressing is ready.

To enhance the effect of the yeast solution, experienced growers it is recommended to add 45 g of sugar to it which will serve as a catalyst.

But you can not add it, but simply let the solution with dry concentrate stand for 120 - 180 minutes, so that the mixture is infused.

But this top dressing should be further diluted before watering houseplants, as it is very concentrated and can burn their delicate roots.

Typically, the dry concentrate solution is diluted with clean water room temperature in a ratio of 1:5 and water the plant.

There is another recipe preparations based on dry concentrate. You should take 30 g of sugar, 2 g of ascorbic acid, mix and add 10 g of dry yeast.

The resulting mixture is dissolved in a bucket of water and put in a warm place so that the solution is infused. After a couple of hours, the liquid "treat" for pets is ready.

Another cooking recipe liquid feed from dry concentrate: dilute 1 cup of this product in a liter of water, stir this mixture until the concentrate is completely dissolved and infuse for 5-7 minutes.

Then water is added to the mixture, bringing the amount of solution to 10 liters - and top dressing for green "pets" is ready.

Root top dressing based on yeast and sugar:

From raw

If you only have raw yeast on hand, then you should not be upset.- they also make an excellent food for home flowers. The method of preparing such top dressing is very simple.

A bucket of water will require 100 grams of raw yeast. In warm water, they should be completely dissolved and put in a warm place to infuse for 24 hours.

Experienced flower growers say that it is this fertilizer that is best for indoor perennials.

Yeast talker for plant fertilizer:

How to properly feed a flower with such a solution

Any fertilizer is good in moderation., since for cultivated annuals and perennials, their excess is as harmful as the lack.

Therefore, when preparing a yeast solution and watering flowers, the exact concentration of the solution and dosage for each flower should be observed.

Excess nitrogen in the soil can cause the plant to only grow vegetative mass and produce fewer buds.

It should be remembered that plants need nitrogen in the soil only during active growth above-ground part, that is, in the spring. After the start of intensive flowering, it is recommended to stop fertilizing with yeast.

Fertilizing home flowers with a yeast solution is very useful as it is a natural biological product.

The effectiveness of this fertilizer is that the fungi contained in the yeast use those resources of flowers that are not able to activate other organic and mineral additives.

As a result, flowers grow better, and flowering is more active. And the result from the use of a yeast solution is visible after 4-5 days after application.

What could be more beautiful bright colors on the window sill in the room? Lush and fragrant flowering is especially pleasing to the eye in summer, when a snow blizzard is blowing in the yard, and frost draws its patterns on the glass. It is difficult to imagine an apartment or a house where there would be no domestic plants at all, because they create a special comfort in the room, and some of them are even humidifiers for dry air in winter time of the year. Well-crafted compositions flower pots serve modern means interior design. But in order for the plant to please you, it must be in good health.

Plants lack nutrition - looking for signs of illness

So many people neglect the feeding of home flowers, leaving this type of care for summer. vegetable beds. However, the plants on your windowsill also need fertilizer, because their health and well-being depend on it. appearance. Due to the small space for life and development, the soil in flower pot is quickly depleted, giving the plant all its nutrients and minerals. And there is nowhere else to take them. There are 2 ways out of this situation: more often, approximately once every 3 months, transplant flowers into a new nutrient soil or fertilize the former place of residence.

Signs that you need to feed your house plants as soon as possible:

  • The leaves are pale and drooping, falling off, may turn yellow and curl around the edges. Various spots and other signs of disease appeared on them;
  • The stems are stretched and weakened, thinned, look dehydrated with sufficient watering;
  • The plant has slowed down in growth and has not pleased you with flowering for a very long time, although this is not typical for it.

These and other painful signs tell you about the reduced immunity of your plants and insufficient amounts of nutrients. You can help them only by providing mineral elements by means of applying fertilizers and stimulants for their better assimilation.

Yeast sourdough - an indispensable help to the florist

An excellent stimulant for the development of domestic plants for already years considered to be yeast starter. It saturates the soil with vitamins and phytohormones, including cytokinin, which is responsible for cell division. The fact is that, penetrating into the soil, the yeast fungus affects the composition of the soil, activating microorganisms, which in turn process organic matter and release potassium and nitrogen, which are so necessary for plants. Scientists believe that nutritional yeast as a fertilizer for plants is quite capable of replacing a full-fledged mineral supplement.

To prepare this universal fertilizer dissolve 10 g of yeast and one tablespoon of sugar in 1 liter of warm water. In the case of using dry yeast, their amount is also diluted in 10 liters of water using 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar. Then the solution should be allowed to brew for 3-5 hours. Before watering the plants, dilute the resulting mixture with clean water in proportions of 1:4. You can feed flowers in this way for a month, watering the plants with the resulting solution one day a week. This will be quite enough to develop a strong root system, saturate the flowers with nutrients and strengthen their immunity.

For even greater efficiency, organic substances are added to the top dressing. The more food we provide to the microorganisms awakened with the help of yeast, the more nutrition our plants will receive from their vital activity. As organics, you can use, for example: potato tops, withered lettuce, dried in an oven and chopped banana peel. Since the fermentation process in the soil intensively absorbs potassium and calcium, it would be rational to sprinkle the ground, previously watered with a yeast solution, with wood ash. It is able to replenish the lost mineral elements, as well as enrich the soil with calcium, phosphorus, iron, zinc and other trace elements that promote healthy plant growth. In addition to the above, the ash makes the soil looser, which creates a beneficial environment for the growth and vital activity of microorganisms, which we cultivate with the help of yeast nutrition. If there is no ash at hand at home, and one of the family members smokes, you can use cigarette ash to feed the flowers. Its effect will be the same as when applying wood ash, the difference is only in the concentration of nutrients.

The calcium level in the soil after fertilizing indoor plants with yeast can be replenished by adding ground eggshells to it. Remember that only shells are used for fertilizer raw eggs who have not been subjected to heat treatment. You can use the shell and as a drainage when planting a plant in a pot. In this case, there is no need to grind it: just break it into pieces and lay it on the bottom with a layer of about 2 cm. As necessary, the earth will take from the shell necessary elements, at the same time, there is no need to be afraid of oversaturation of the soil with calcium - in eggshell it is in a form that is rather difficult to extract for plants, due to which its entry into the soil will be uniform and will not exceed the norm.

The first assistant in the absorption of nutrients - succinic acid

Succinic acid helps plants to quickly adapt to new conditions resulting from, for example, transplanting to another place, and also promotes the absorption of nutrients from the soil after top dressing.

If we are talking about seedlings, then it will be effective to soak vegetable seeds in a solution of succinic acid, this will increase their resistance to most possible diseases. In the future, water the sprouted sprouts with the same solution and spray the formed leaves. This substance destroys the toxins in the soil, preventing their penetration into the plant itself. By increasing chlorophyll, which is promoted by succinic acid, the yield of vegetable crops increases significantly.

To achieve the result you want, it is very important to observe the correct proportions and dosage of the substance in the process of preparing the product. So,

  • for spraying plants: 1 tablet of succinic acid is diluted in a glass of warm water until dissolved, and then the resulting liquid is poured into a liter of water at room temperature. Spraying the plant is used to stimulate the development of new leaves and shoots - 1 time in 3-4 weeks;
  • for soaking seeds before sowing: the solution is prepared in the same way, the seeds are soaked for about 20 hours, after which they are dried at room temperature and start sowing;
  • for soaking the roots before transplanting the plant: 1 tablet is dissolved in a glass of warm water and the resulting solution is poured into water at room temperature, bringing the total volume to a liter. Soaking time 1.5 - 2 hours.

Keep succinic acid in the form of tablets should be in a dry shady place where the air temperature does not exceed +25 degrees. In a diluted form, the shelf life is 15-20 hours. The substance is safe for humans and animals, but despite this, it is recommended to store it away from food.

By the way, keep in mind that all the same recommendations can be perfectly applied to other house plants, such as berries and vegetable crops. The only thing is, do not fertilize potatoes and beets with yeast, this will change their taste characteristics not in better side. But peppers and strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants will be very grateful to you and will give you good harvest. Vegetable crops can be watered with a yeast solution from the moment the seedlings are planted in open ground, with the repetition of top dressing during the season, about once a month, once. Can be added to yeast, in addition to sugar, diluted chicken manure and an infusion of nettles or dandelions. Any organic at this time will come in handy. After watering the beds, sprinkle wood ash on the surface of the soil.
