The tips from our article will help you cope with even complex stains on the stove and oven, and you will find out how to remove fat from stove.

Removing fat from the oven at home

Wait until the oven has completely cooled down before cleaning the oven. Remove all metal grates and braziers. For washing, use only soft sponges and rags so as not to disturb the integrity of the coating. Stove cleaners often contain active ingredients that can irritate your skin, so use gloves.

It is not recommended to use powder to clean the oven, as it may contain solid particles. It is best to use gel liquid products. Pay attention to the label, it should say that the product is suitable for stoves. In addition to ready-made detergents, there are folk methods how to clean the oven from fat.

Vinegar - a means of removing fat from the stove

To remove fat from the walls of the oven and the door, ordinary table vinegar will help. To do this, apply it on the surface, leave for several hours and then rinse with water and a rag.

Heating - a way to clean the oven from a small fatty coating

Let the water evaporate for half an hour, but at the same time make sure that all the water does not evaporate and the pan does not burn. Turn off the oven and wait for all elements to cool completely. Now you can start wiping with a soft sponge.

Laundry soap - softens old fatty deposits

Effective in cleaning the oven soap solution. Grate laundry soap, put in an iron container and pour a glass of water. Put the container in the oven and turn it on for 15 minutes. The soap solution will evaporate and soften the grease.
Mustard powder - better than any chemistry

Dissolve mustard powder to a paste-like consistency. Apply mustard to the surface with fatty deposits and leave for 10-15 minutes. After that, you can start cleaning the surface with a sponge. If there are old dirt on the surface, try to clean them with mustard powder undiluted in water.

Removing the smell of detergents after cleaning the oven
If you used ready-made detergents, then an unpleasant smell will be present in the oven for some time. To remove it, you can try rinsing the walls with vinegar, which absorbs any odors well, including chemical ones. For greater efficiency, we recommend using Activated carbon. Dissolve five tablets in water, put the container in the oven and wait for the solution to boil. Then open the oven door and let it air out.

The kitchen stove is constantly in operation. The result of active daily use is pollution, the laundering of which requires effort. There is not always time to wipe the surface and grate after cooking. Deposits accumulate and stratify. When you turn on the burner, an unpleasant smell appears. How to clean the stove from grease and soot? There are folk and traditional ways problem solving. Each is good in its own way and requires compliance with simple rules.

In the care of any kitchen appliances, regularity and constancy are important. Ideally, you should have a napkin on hand, specifically designed to eliminate drips and drops of fat. In practice, the hostess flutters from the stove to the table, is distracted by other worries and does not have time to wipe the surface, clean the covers of the burners. Washing the grate is delayed, and detergents are indispensable.

Surface

The gas stove is convenient and practical - it heats up quickly, the intensity of the fire is easily regulated and neglected pollution is difficult to wash off. Escaping milk or coffee, oil splashes, water drops turn into a dense layer, which requires:

  • Detergents. Suitable kitchen regulars are baking soda, salt, vinegar, or lemon acid. Household chemicals come in handy - you need to pay attention to whether the remedy is suitable for solving the problem.
  • Napkins and sponges. Ordinary foam sticks help to evenly distribute the detergent over the surface and wipe off the most malicious contaminants. Cellulosic and absorbent wipes are used to complete the wash.
  • Gloves. Hands need protection from exposure to chemicals. Household gloves - best friends housewives who care about the health of the skin and nails.

Constant care is the key to cleanliness and long service life of the gas stove

Grille and handles

How to wash the grate and handles on a gas stove? For the manufacture of gratings, cast iron is mainly used. The metal is not prone to deformation and is immune to high temperatures. On a dark cast-iron or enameled surface, drops of fat are practically invisible. But gradually the accumulations make themselves felt with soot and an unpleasant odor. Cleaning requires:

  • Means for dissolving fat. Water and other liquids evaporate almost instantly from a hot surface. Remains fat and soot. Care consists in getting rid of the violator of cleanliness and the distributor of unpleasant odors. The dissolution of contaminants is the most effective method.
  • Washing container. Preliminary "soaking" in a soap solution facilitates the unpleasant procedure for cleaning carbon deposits.
  • Gloves. Tight household gloves are suitable. Disposables may break.

The grate is soaked for several hours in a warm soapy solution or sent to the dishwasher. When the fat and soot soften, the slats and rods are cleaned mechanically. It is preferable to use a silicone scraper so as not to damage the enamel or scratch the metal.

Tight gloves are chosen to wash the grate - you have to make an effort

The handles suffer from drops of grease that hardens on the plastic. The most difficult thing to clean is ribbed faucets on old stoves - in some kitchens there are rarities. If possible, remove the handles, wash and dry.

It is important to know! Cast iron grates gently calcined over an open fire - due to the rough surface, washing is difficult and inefficient.

Burners

In gas stoves, the design consists of two parts - an aluminum burner and a cast-iron cover. Like the grille, it can be enamelled. The burner is put on the gas tube, a lid is placed on top. The main risk of contamination is the leakage of liquid under the base of the burner.

Manufacturers provide small protective levels around the "hearth", but such elements are not always there. Pollution of the hostess is not noticed immediately, but is detected after removing the burner. When washing the stove, it is recommended to remove all elements in order to identify any existing problems.

Before installation, the burners and lids are thoroughly wiped until moisture is completely eliminated.

It is important to know! During work, it is important to prevent water and detergents from entering the gas distribution pipes. This can lead to uncontrolled chemical reactions. To ensure safety, turn off the gas before washing.

Classic ways to clean the stove and grate

You need to quickly put the kitchen in order, but there is no familiar chemistry at hand. No need to worry about washing gas stove at home. There are always helpers in the kitchen difficult task eliminate the consequences of preparing a dinner party. It is not a fact that any means will be needed, except standard set which is always at hand.

Water procedures

It is worth taking a closer look at pollution. These may be traces of an escaped or accidentally spilled coffee, sugar syrup and other non-greasy liquids. The problem of removing pollution is easily solved.

How to wash the stove from stains and grease:

  • remove the grate and burners;
  • poured warm water surface;
  • waiting 15-20 minutes;
  • the stove is wiped several times with a moisture-absorbing napkin;
  • wipe dry;
  • set back removed elements;
  • for a brilliant result, wash with the usual means for daily cleaning in the kitchen.

When cleaning handles and other elements, improvised means are used.

Baking soda is a universal remedy

Ordinary soda is an indispensable tool for washing the stove from grease. It is used in a dry form, in a pasty state and in combination with other helpers from the hostess's arsenal:

  • table vinegar;
  • lemon acid;
  • salt.

Soda is a mild abrasive that does not damage the enamel coating. When coarsely crystalline abrasives are used, scratches are formed. Over time, the surface fades, the damaged areas darken, become clogged with grease and other contaminants. Eliminating them is almost impossible. Soda eliminates such problems.

How to wash the stove from old fat:

  • moisten the work surface;
  • Sprinkle contaminated places with soda or paste - in dry matter add a little water and mix until a homogeneous mass is formed;
  • leave for 40 minutes;
  • wipe the surface several times with a sponge or napkin;
  • the most contaminated areas require effort and repeated processing;
  • Finally, wash with soapy water and wipe dry.

The addition of vinegar and other substances enhances the effect of soda paste and helps to degrease the coating and remove carbon deposits.

Video advice on using folk methods:

It is important to know! To remove carbon deposits, do not use knives, metal sponges and other sharp objects. There is a high risk of damage to the enamel coating and scratches on the stainless surface.

Final stage cleaning with soda - washing with soapy water

Ammonia - rules for use

The strong-smelling ammonia solution is an excellent fat dissolver. You can quickly clean the gas stove grate ammonia. Pre-open the window for ventilation, put on a mask or respirator and be sure to prepare a pair of household gloves. The procedure is carried out in the following way:

  • remove the grate;
  • wipe the slats and rods with ammonia;
  • placed in a plastic or trash bag;
  • tightly tied;
  • leave for several hours;
  • wash the grate with soapy water;
  • wipe dry and return to place.

This method is suitable for enameled and steel gratings. For cast iron products wholesale

The grate, rubbed with ammonia, is hermetically packed in plastic bag

It is important to know! Dry mustard is also used to wash the hostess. A natural remedy is used by analogy with soda.

What household chemicals are suitable for cleaning the stove

Folk ways good, but not always effective. The reaction takes longer, and it takes effort to wipe off the fat. Modern household chemicals cope with complex tasks with honor. Certain precautions must be taken to prevent substances from being ingested.

Abrasives

Presented in the lines of all manufacturers - from the economy segment to the premium class. They are powders with the addition of abrasive particles.

Usually the product is applied to the surface, evenly distributed and left for 15-20 minutes. Then a napkin or brush is used to physically remove dirt and greasy deposits. In the final, wash until completely rid of traces of powder.

The products are effective on stainless steel and may pose a threat to enamelled surfaces. However, if fatty deposits require drastic measures, it is recommended to proceed carefully and check the effect of abrasive elements on small area.

Detergents

Manufacturers produce a wide range of detergents for kitchen plumbing and stoves. The most popular compositions of the following types:

  • Creams and gels. The composition includes microgranules that act as an abrasive. They act gently and effectively. Apply to a moistened surface and leave for 15-20 minutes. They dissolve grease well and remove dirt. They have a pleasant smell.
  • Pastes and foams. Concentrated formulations are endowed important property– do not flow down even from a vertical surface. Foam is consumed faster, paste is more economical option. Differ in soft action and high efficiency.

Manufacturers of household chemicals offer products for every taste and budget

Fat dissolvers

Means of this type are produced in the form of sprays. Use sparingly and spray only on the area to be treated. Suitable for grates, burner lids. Apply as follows:

  • not a large number of sprayed on the contaminated area;
  • leave until the end of the reaction - the manufacturer indicates the exposure time of the active components;
  • wash off with plain water, hands should be protected with gloves.

When buying, you should pay attention to the main active ingredient. Some products are designed to eliminate soot, which has a dense structure and is the most difficult to remove.

It is important to know! Detergents are rinsed off completely to prevent chemicals from entering the food.

Features of washing the electric stove

Heating elements enclosed in a metal case are not removable. Dirt accumulates around the burners, soot forms. It is these areas that cause the greatest difficulty when washing. How to wash electric stove- order of work:

  1. Wait for the heating elements to cool completely.
  2. The electric stove is disconnected from the network - a precautionary measure will not be superfluous.
  3. Apply detergent carefully.
  4. Leave for the required time.
  5. Wipe down several times with a damp cloth until complete cleansing from dirt and product residues.

Particular attention is paid to the area around the heating elements and they try to completely remove carbon deposits and clean greasy layers. You can use a toothpick or wooden skewer to manually clean the gaps between the rim of the coils and the lid.

How to clean induction and glass-ceramic hob

An induction or glass-ceramic hob requires special attention. At first glance, a smooth coating that reliably protects heating elements, easier to wash. However, there are features that require attention and response:

  • The use of abrasive products, hard brushes, sponges and other devices that can damage or scratch the glass ceramics is excluded. For mechanical cleaning, a special scraper is chosen - it delicately removes fatty plaques.
  • Use a special cleaning agent hob from glass ceramics and pay attention to the manufacturer's instructions. The active substance creates a film that is impervious to contaminants that remain on the surface. protective coating and are easily removed.
  • To soften hardened residues containing sugar, a warm, damp cloth is placed on the contaminated area and left for a while. Also come with other burnt and baked fragments.

Special scraper leaves no scratches and cleans glass ceramics

If you don’t have the time, desire, or special equipment to deal with stubborn old fat and soot on your own, contact a cleaning company. The services of professionals are expensive, but still cheaper than repairing or buying a new stove. This is another argument why homework should be trusted to those who know the secrets of transforming their favorite kitchen.

The indispensable attribute of the kitchen is the stove. Every housewife periodically faces such a problem as contamination of the hob with fat or food that “escaped” during cooking. This fact is inevitable, it is easy to deal with it if you wash off oily heels at once, but this is not always convenient, for example, if several dishes are being cooked at the same time. How to quickly wash the stove in the kitchen if the grease stains have already dried up?

Many housewives puzzle over this, because excessive friction and scraping spoils appearance stoves, but without this, the stove cannot be washed. Of course, in our time, detergent manufacturers are finding ways to make cleaning the kitchen easier, but such “helpers” contain substances that harm the human body and the environment.

But the older generation coped well with this problem without “chemical” intervention, but with improvised means:

  • laundry soap,
  • baking soda,
  • salt,
  • vegetable oil.

Yes, yes, do not be surprised, it is vegetable oil, as they say - "a wedge is knocked out with a wedge."

Wash the stove: where to start?

The stove must be cleaned completely:

  • hob,
  • lattice,
  • pens,
  • oven,
  • frame.

Before you start cleaning the stove, you must completely de-energize it, turn off the gas and disconnect it from the mains. It is worth considering that not only electric stoves, but also gas stoves are connected to the network. In such stoves, electricity is often used for lighting. oven also, if there is a "grill" function. Also in modern models, spark current is used instead of lighter burners.

The hob is the most susceptible to dirt and requires constant cleaning. Washing must be carried out, taking into account the distinctive properties of its coating:

  • metal,
  • enamelled,
  • glass,
  • ceramic.

Each coating has its own distinctive properties that give the hostess of the kitchen their own advantages. But, there is no single tool that would be suitable for all types of plates, each separately requires individual care and cleaning. For example, the ceramic and enameled surface of the plate is afraid of abrasive cleaning, but it is perfect for metal ones.

Washing a metal plate

AT recent times panels from of stainless steel popular with buyers. The type of metal plate looks quite effective and is distinguished by its resistance to damage, but even the smallest spots become noticeable on such a surface.

To wash a metal plate, you need a dishwashing sponge and any cleaning agent that can fight grease. The "grandmother's" way is also suitable:

  • Mix soda with any dish detergent to make the solution in the form of a slurry, apply it to the contaminated surface for 5-10 minutes, then rub it with a sponge. The joints can be cleaned with an ordinary old toothbrush, soaking it in the prepared soda-soap solution. Then rinse everything and wipe dry.
  • Also, instead of soda, table salt does an excellent job with fat, mix it with detergent or simply rub the contaminated area with a damp cloth dipped in salt.

Such a panel is not afraid of washing with products, which include chemicals that destroy fat: titanium acids, orthophosphates, surfactants. It should be remembered that despite the fact that they effectively cope with their task, they are harmful to human body Therefore, it is necessary to work with them only with rubber gloves.

Washing ceramic, glass and enamel panels

Ceramic, glass and enamel slabs can emphasize design decoration kitchens. They look quite "rich" and are equipped with many bonuses that become indispensable assistants for the hostess during cooking. But, it is worth noting that such plates are very sensitive to damage, chips and scratches can form on them.

When starting to clean such plates, it is necessary to exclude abrasive detergents in the form of powders and metal washcloths. Only foam or foam rubber sponges are suitable for washing. In this case, it is better to use gel or cream texture cleaners. When resorting to the help of household chemicals, it is necessary to strictly observe the proportions and recommendations of the manufacturer, which are always indicated on the packaging.

You can also prepare an effective detergent from improvised materials:

  • Mix soda with vegetable oil so that the resulting slurry can be easily spread over the surface, applied to contaminated areas and left for about half an hour. Then light movements, without effort, pressing, rub with a soft cloth and rinse with soapy water: grate laundry soap and 1 tbsp. dissolve the spoon warm water. For shine, wipe with a solution of ammonia: 1 part alcohol 10 parts water.

Wash knobs and buttons

Very quickly, the buttons and handles on the stove become dirty and it is difficult to wash them, since it is difficult to get close to them with a sponge and a rag, more precisely in their cracks, where fat accumulates most. Cleaning such elements becomes problematic, especially if the stove designers "tried" to design the stove in original style and made them embossed.

When cleaning the handles, it is better to remove them and pre-soak them in a hot soapy solution for 30 minutes, then use a small brush (a toothbrush will do) to easily clean the dirt. You can also use a brush dipped in a soda-soap solution to clean the buttons.

But, there are situations when there is no time to wait until everything “turns sour”, then you can use ammonia-anise drops, which are sold in a pharmacy. Put a few drops on a cotton pad and rub the buttons with handles, leave for a few minutes. Then rinse thoroughly with a damp sponge or cloth.

Cleaning grates on the stove

Grids on the stove are of two types: cast iron and steel. As a rule, they are painted black, so any dirt is hardly visible on them. Therefore, the hostess rarely cleans them, but they still exist under the influence high temperatures they burn in places of fire, but where the heat is weak, the fat is eaten in and it is quite problematic to clean it.

steel grating

  • It will help to wash the soaking, put the grate in a basin with a hot soapy solution (you can use any detergent to combat grease), add vinegar to the solution (100 ml of vinegar per 5 liters of water). Leave the grate to soak overnight. In the morning, rub the remaining dirt with the same solution, then with clean water.
  • Fast way. Rub dry mustard on a wet grate and leave for 30 minutes, then rinse everything thoroughly and wipe dry.
  • Make a soda-soap gruel (as described for washing the stove) and put on the grate, leave for half an hour, then rub again and rinse with water.

Cast iron grate

  • If possible, then ignite it on an open fire, ask for help from her husband. This can be done in the yard or on open area to prevent fire.
  • Substances containing acids will help to clean the grate from soot, soak in a caustic solution for several hours, then (be sure to wear rubber gloves) rinse with soapy water and wipe. Soap-vinegar solution is also suitable.
  • You can again ask your loved one for help and treat the grate with a tool that cleans car engines.

Oven cleaning

Washing the oven is much easier than it might seem at first glance.

  1. It is necessary to grate laundry soap on a coarse grater and dissolve it hot water. Apply this solution to the walls of the oven from the inside and fill the baking sheet almost to the brim, close the door tightly and heat it to 120 degrees Celsius. Steam for about half an hour, then turn off the heat, open and let cool. After cooling, wash everything with a cloth dipped in clean water.
  1. Grease stains in the oven are perfectly removed with baking powder for dough. Moisten the contaminated area, sprinkle with baking powder on top and leave for 5-10 minutes. Fat lumps are formed, which are easily removed with a damp sponge.
  1. Sprinkle a layer of salt on inner surface oven and baking sheet. Preheat the oven until the salt darkens, then turn off and let cool. Remove the salt and wash the oven with a light soapy solution.

With these simple tools, you can easily keep your stove and kitchen in perfect cleanliness. But, you should not leave pollution "for later", in the hope that it is easy to deal with them, because no matter how hard you try to wash old fat, there is always a big risk of leaving damage and scratches on the stove, which greatly spoils its appearance.

No matter how neat the hostess is, stains and oil splashes from cooking food inevitably fall on the gas stove. Of course, there is nothing easier than to immediately remove the pollution with a sponge, but there are so many things to do around the house. Sometimes there is simply no time to wash the stove immediately after cooking, and in some cases women get so tired during the day that they simply don’t feel like doing it in the evening. And the next day you have to decide new problem- how to wash the surface from already frozen, and sometimes ingrained greasy spots. In this article, we will consider different ways cleaning the gas stove and its main parts from fat.

Cleaning features

The choice of means and method of cleaning directly depends on the material of manufacture of the hob, but there are several general rules regarding cleaning gas stoves (some are suitable for electrical appliances):

  • cleaning the gas stove, especially with commercial products, should only be done with rubber gloves, as these products contain components that can irritate the skin of the hands;
  • make sure that the tile has completely cooled down after the last use, otherwise you risk getting burned;
  • you should never use a cleaning agent that contains aggressive acids in the list of active ingredients;
  • Abrasive substances are categorically not suitable for this purpose, as they leave a large number of scratches on the plate, due to which the plate gets dirty even more intensively. But soda and mixtures containing it can be safely used, because this product not only softens fat, but also absorbs unpleasant odors from burnt food;

  • when cleaning, do not use metal brushes and very hard sponges, as a strong mechanical impact damages the surface of the plate;
  • it is much more difficult to clean the fat when it has already hardened and absorbed, so washing the gas stove should be a regular activity, not an emergency. Ideally, this should be done after each cooking process;
  • no matter what material the hob is made of, it is most suitable for cleaning it in the form of pastes, gels or creams, and not powders;
  • before starting work, it is advisable to turn off the gas supply if the stove is gas and be sure to disconnect the appliance from the mains if there is an electric stove in the kitchen;
  • before proceeding directly to washing, remove the burners, and place a rag in the holes from them, which will prevent liquid from getting inside.

What to use?

There are dozens of ways to clean the stove from grease using improvised means. Many folk recipes such mixtures include ingredients present in almost any home. These are, first of all, soda and vinegar, citric acid and ammonia, mustard powder and baking powder for dough. And for those who prefer to use ready-made commercial products, modern market household chemicals provides a huge selection effective means for cleaning gas stoves.

Consider the most common of each category.

Folk remedies

Methods for cleaning with improvised means:

  • If the fat has appeared recently and has not yet had time to harden, you can remove it with ordinary vinegar (9%). If it is more concentrated, dilute it with a little water. Pour the liquid into a spray bottle and spray over the entire surface of the gas stove. Wait 15 minutes and remove dirt with a soft sponge, then wipe the stove with a wet cloth and wipe dry.
  • If the grease stains have already hardened and wipe them off simple ways if it doesn’t work, use citric acid. Moisten the surface a little and sprinkle the powder generously on visible spots. You can replace citric acid with lemon: squeeze the juice on the greasy stain and rub it a little with a lemon wedge. Now you need to let the product dissolve the fat (10-15 minutes), and then easily wipe it off with a sponge or cloth.
  • Mix soda and the finest salt in equal proportions (large is not suitable, as there is a high risk of scratching the stove), add a little water to make a soft slurry. Rub the resulting mixture on the oily surface and rinse with water.
  • The slurry made from dry mustard and a small amount water. Thickly treat all oily areas with it, wait 20 minutes, rub a little, then rinse with water.
  • If the spots are old and there are a lot of them, use a stronger remedy. Using a spray bottle, dampen the gas stove with vinegar, fresh lemon juice, or citric acid solution. Sprinkle the stained surface with baking soda on top. As a result, between acid and alkali there should be chemical reaction, which will help soften the frozen fat.

For the product to work, you need to leave it for 10-15 minutes and only then wash it off with a sponge.

  • Ammonia-anise drops perfectly cope with fat. Add a teaspoon of ammonia to a glass of water, apply to the dirty surface of the stove. After 15 minutes, remove the softened fat with a cloth, rinse off the remaining product with water and wipe everything dry.
  • In the most advanced cases some housewives use refined gasoline, wetting a greasy stove with it, and after 10 minutes washing it off with plenty of water.
  • If you have the opportunity to start brushing in the evening and finish early in the morning, use the following recipe. Prepare a solution of 50 g of grated soap and a small amount of hot water. Add 100 ml of vinegar (9%) and 40 g of soda ash to this. ready mix treat the entire surface of the tile and leave it to act until morning. During this time, fat deposits will loosen, and they can be removed with little or no effort. Instead of the described mixture, you can prepare a solution of 2 liters of water and 4 tbsp. l. salt - in the same way, fill the stove with it in the evening, and in the morning complete the process of cleaning it.

When cleaning the surface of the gas stove from grease, do not forget to wash the upper grate as well. The method of removing contaminants from it will depend on the material of manufacture. If it is cast iron, then the most The best way in this case, burning on an open fire, under the influence of which all burnt particles of food and fat will fall off by themselves. You can also steam the grate in the oven. The main thing is not to wipe the grate with a damp cloth after that, but simply dry it quickly so that it does not rust.

The most effective way to remove grease from a steel grate is based on ammonia. It is enough to lubricate the rods with ammonia using a sponge and completely place the grate in a plastic bag. Tie it up for at least two hours. After that, simply wash under the tap using ordinary dishwashing liquid - grease and burnt food will be easily washed off the steel bars.

Household chemicals

The above recipes do help remove grease from a gas stove, but like everyone else natural remedies, they have their drawbacks, the main of which is that you need to wait a long time for the remedy to work, and as a result, you still have to make physical efforts. Household chemicals are a completely different matter. In formulas store funds ingredients are included that allow you to dissolve the fat almost instantly, and remove it by simply wiping the stove with a cloth.

All the variety of such products can be divided into the following groups:

  • abrasive substances. These are powders containing abrasive particles. Instructions for their use are usually as follows: the powder is scattered over the entire hob for the period recommended by the manufacturer, after which the fat is physically wiped off the stove with a stiff brush, and the remnants of the product are washed off with water. As already mentioned, the use of abrasive substances is highly undesirable in relation to gas stoves. The only option when this is justified is a stainless steel surface that is not threatened by scratches.

  • Detergents. Cream and gel products contain microgranules that act as an abrasive, but, unlike those in powder products, they do not scratch the slab. They are applied to a surface slightly moistened with water, after some time they are erased with a sponge along with the dissolved fat. Detergents also include pastes and foams, one of the advantages of which is their ability to be held without dripping even on horizontal surfaces.
  • Fat dissolvers. These are concentrated sprays designed specifically for removing grease, so they should not be applied to the entire surface of the stove, but only to grease stains. The exposure time is indicated on the packaging. Usually, heavily soiled ovens, grates, handles and burners are cleaned with grease solvents.

How to clean?

Each of the details of the gas stove requires a special approach to cleaning grease. Consider how to properly clean hob stoves, its handles, burners, burnt bottom, jets and oven. Even plastic can be cleaned from old fat.

Plate surface

To clean the surface of a plate made of stainless steel or with another coating, you must follow the following instructions:

  • Pull out the burners.
  • Use a dry sponge or rag to remove unburned dirt particles and food residues from the stove.
  • Almost all products (both folk and commercial) are applied to a wet surface, so the next step is to moisturize it. You can do this with water, vinegar or citric acid - it all depends on the cleaning method you choose.
  • Apply a grease remover (ready-made or homemade).

  • After the set time, rub the hob gently with a sponge or soft brush to remove any burnt fat.
  • Wipe the surface with a damp cloth, repeat the procedure until completely clean.
  • Let the stove dry completely or wipe it yourself.
  • At the final stage, you can treat the clean surface with polish or ordinary glass liquid.

Clean the areas around the burners especially carefully, as they are the most contaminated.

If the heating elements cannot be removed, clean the gaps between them and the stove with a toothpick.

Burners

Main details gas burner are a nozzle, a fire diffuser and a cover made of enameled steel. You can clean the burner with ordinary soapy water, then rinse with hot water. running water. If the part is heavily soiled, it is pre-soaked. When cleaning the burner itself, do not use chlorine-containing products. Apply the selected composition to it and clean it with a little effort with the hard side of a regular sponge, wash it and be sure to dry it.

When something more powerful is required, use the following recipe. Make an vinegar solution by combining equal amounts of water and vinegar. Place the burners in it and boil them for about five minutes. Turn off the heat, but do not remove the burners until the liquid has cooled completely. Clean the parts with a sponge or toothbrush, rinse with warm water and dry.

Do not forget to take care that nothing interferes with the passage of gas through the burners. If any of the holes are clogged, clean them with a toothpick.

Pens

These elements of the gas stove get dirty very quickly, so they also require frequent cleaning. To wash the handles from grease and dirt, place them in a regular soapy solution for several hours, then wipe with a sponge. If you can't wait that long, boil the pens in a liter of water with two tablespoons of vinegar, and after cooling down naturally, remove any remaining dirt. This procedure allows you to get rid of fat even in hard-to-reach places Oh.

If the handles on your stove cannot be removed and cleaned separately, prepare baking soda and ammonia, a sponge, a toothbrush and toothpicks with cotton swabs.

Operating procedure:

  • Treat the handles with baking soda applied to the soft side of the sponge.
  • Prepare a solution of ammonia (1: 1) and clean especially difficult places with it. Focusing on the size of the holes and gaps, use a toothbrush and cotton swabs.
  • Let the product work and, after 10 minutes, rub the handles again with a clean sponge or brush.
  • Clean the most inaccessible places with a toothpick.

Oven

The oven is the place where the fat inside is especially actively accumulated and burnt. And it can be very, very difficult to clean it off. Here are a few ways to effectively get rid of greasy deposits in the oven.

All the ingredients of this tool are usually present in the locker of any hostess. It can be used to clean an oven with an average degree of pollution. Completely free it from all contents - baking sheets, grates, thermometer and other elements, if any.

Make a paste from half a glass baking soda and water and apply it to the entire inner surface of the oven, and especially thickly where there is most fat and soot. Leave for 12 hours. Using a dry cloth first, and then a plastic spatula, remove the soot and soda paste that has separated from the walls. If in some places the fat is not completely removed, sprinkle them with a solution of vinegar (you can use a spray bottle). Having reacted with the remnants of soda, the liquid forms a foam, which can be easily removed with a sponge along with soot.

To facilitate this process, the sponge can also be moistened with vinegar.

Remove everything except the grate from the oven and preheat it to 200 degrees. Pour water into a baking sheet or any container and pour 20 g of citric acid (it can be replaced with highly concentrated vinegar or any dish detergent). How to clean a gas stove?

Before cleaning the stove, you need to remove some of its parts. Instructions on how to disassemble the stove correctly:

  1. Disconnect the stove from gas supply and electricity. This way you protect yourself from unexpected troubles and injuries.
  2. Remove the grate and immediately place it in a washing container (large basin, bath) for several hours.
  3. Remove burners and send them to the washing container.
  4. Remove leftover food from the surface of the plate with a dry sponge.
  5. If you are going to wash the electric stove- follow the same sequence, taking into account the presence of certain structural details.

Zone 1. Visible surface

Before removing grease from the stove, moisten it hot water. It will help break down fat and soften it. After that, you can pour soda on the surface and leave for 30 minutes.

When the grease is wet, carefully remove it with a soft sponge. And to make the surface shine, wipe it with a solution of ammonia and water in a 1: 1 ratio.

Soap solution can be used instead of soda. To prepare it, simply rub some laundry soap and dissolve it in warm water. Apply the resulting solution to the surface and remove with a sponge after 15 minutes.

Do not clean the surface of the plate with a metal brush or sponge. It is also not recommended to use abrasive cleaners. They can scratch the surface, and subsequently the dirt will eat into it even deeper. For complex pollution use a toothbrush or cotton swab.

Zone 2. Handles

Gas stove handles are the most frequently used and easily soiled elements: grease and dirt settle on them in rather hard-to-reach places.

To clean the handles, you need to put them in a container with a cleaning agent. As a means, you can use a concentrated solution laundry soap. In it, the pens should lie for at least 8 hours.

To speed up the process, it is better to use a solution of two tablespoons of vinegar in a liter of water. Boil the handles in it for 5-7 minutes, drain the solution and let the parts cool natural way. Then it remains to clean them with a sponge.

If the handles are not removable in your stove- do not despair. A little patience and they will also shine with purity. To clean them, you will need a few helpers:

  • Toothbrush;
  • soda;
  • cotton buds;
  • ammonia;
  • toothpicks.

  1. Apply to sponge some baking soda and wipe the handles.
  2. For difficult areas use a solution of ammonia with water in a 1: 1 ratio. Apply it with a toothbrush or cotton swab, depending on the size of the gap.
  3. Wait for ammonia to be absorbed, and after 10 minutes, go over the contaminated areas again with a clean toothbrush or sponge.
  4. For the most difficult places use toothpick.

Zone 3. Oven

While effective, strong chemicals are not the best option for cleaning your oven. Via folk remedies it will be easier and safer to clean it.

I offer several ways to help you cope with even the dirtiest oven.

Image Methods and means

Method 1. Soap solution

Wipe the oven with paper towels. Apply a soapy solution to the inner walls and leave for 15 minutes.

Pour the same solution into a baking sheet and put it in the oven. Warm it up for 30 minutes at 120°C.

Fat and soot will melt and be easily removed with a soft sponge. At the end of the oven surface, wipe it with a sponge dipped in clean water.

Method 2. Soda and citric acid

These ingredients will take care of any stains. Apply a mixture of baking soda and citric acid to the moistened surfaces of the oven.

After 20-25 minutes, remove the dirt with a paper towel and rinse with water.

Method 3. Vinegar

Light dirt can be removed with a 1:1 solution of vinegar and water.

Moisten the inner walls with this solution and turn on the oven at 50 ° C for 15 minutes. Wash off dirt with warm water.

Method 4. Vinegar + soda

Apply vinegar solution to all surfaces of the oven and sprinkle baking soda on top.

Acid and soda will react and remove unpleasant fat and food debris.

Method 5. Ammonia

Rub the oven walls with ammonia and leave overnight. In the morning, thoroughly wipe the surfaces with a sponge dampened with clean water.

Image Ways

Method 1:
  • Soak the burners in hot soapy water and leave for at least 25 minutes.
  • Wash all parts with a soft sponge. For hard-to-reach places, use cotton swabs or toothpicks.
  • Wipe them dry.

Method 2:

  • Pour them over the burners and boil on the stove for 5 minutes.
  • Leave the burners in the solution until they cool completely.
  • Clean them with a sponge.
  • Rinse the burners in warm water.
  • Wipe dry.

Zone 5. Lattice

Cleaning the grate is perhaps the most difficult part of cleaning a gas stove. Depending on the material from which the grate is made, you need to use different cleaning methods.

Cast iron grate needs to be ignited. This can be done over a gas stove, in the oven, over a fire, or using blowtorch. After this, the bars of the lattice must be rubbed with a metal sponge.

Enamelled and stainless grates can be washed periodically dishwasher at high temperature.

If not dishwasher - first, the grate must be removed and soaked in hot water with the addition of detergent. We need soda, vinegar, soapy water. After 8-10 hours, soaked fat and soot can be scrubbed off with an iron brush.

Regardless of the material from which the grate is made, do not use sharp objects to clean it - this can damage the metal.

Radical ways to clean a dirty grate:
