Height

Another parameter that affects comfort is height. If earlier air mattresses had an average of 13-25 cm in height, now these parameters have grown noticeably, and range from 25 to 55 cm. It is believed that the higher the air bed, the better it is. However, in reality, even 30 cm is quite enough to ensure comfort, and there is not much point in overpaying for additional centimeters.

The functionality of transforming models is greater - with their help, you can organize additional seats, use them as furniture in the garden, in nature, on a hike. However, they are less reliable, since they consist of many elements, the risk of puncture or abrasion of the material is higher here. If durability is required from the bed, they must be abandoned.

The most comfortable are those models that have headrests. They will prevent the pillow from slipping off the bed, and the bumpers will protect the sleeping person from falling.

Models with elevations in place of the pillow are not always good.

Many models with a built-in pump have an additional hole for pumping air. In the event of a pump failure, the bed does not have to be thrown away - you can use a spare one.

To use the bed in field conditions, it is better to purchase a model with a separate pump. Without it, it is lighter, and the mattress can be used for relaxing on the water.

Manual or electric?

Hand pump cheaper, but you will have to work hard, spend time and energy on inflating and blowing off the bed, especially if it is large.

Electric is suitable for those who value their time. If the bed is to be used outdoors, a battery pump is required.
