Peach leaf curl: treatment, processing. Treatment of peach with "curly" leaves Copper sulfate against peach curly

The peach tree is susceptible to phytodiseases. Peach leaves are often affected by curliness. At the same time, it loses many fruits, sheds foliage, and develops poorly. The disease is noticeable not only in aesthetic terms. Generates deformation of the shoots, reduced yields and even death of the seedling. The appearance of symptoms of the disease is a signal for the treatment of peach curly hair and timely methods of struggle. It is important to know when the leaves of a peach curl in the spring, what to do and what to do.

Manifestations and danger of the disease

At the root of the disease fungal infection, which infects the tree with the arrival of the spring season. Pathology excites a fungus from the genus Tafrin. Intense Defeat fruit crops occurs during bud break, which leads to the active multiplication of harmful microorganisms. Environment for their development on peach bark in spring present:

  • small cracks;
  • wounds;
  • kidneys.

Peach leaf curl

Numerous controversies on suburban area able to move to other plants, including peppers.

Plants suffer from peach curl when grown in areas with low temperatures and excess moisture. Infection appears on young peaches a couple of weeks after planting. The rise in infection with curly hair falls on 5-8 weeks. When an ailment is not treated at an early stage, the tree weakens.

Important! Failure to take adequate measures leads to damage to the leaf buds against the background of marsupial fungal sporulation and endangers the health of the tree. In diseased trees, there is a lag in growth, low winter hardiness.

If the peach leaves turn yellow, the reasons why this happens include non-compliance with planting requirements. The thickening of plantings in the garden area explains why the peach sheds leaves. The spread of the infection is affected by curl, which also occurs on adult fruit plants.

Symptoms

Initially, typical bubbles of a pale green color are formed on the leaves, which gradually turn red, and then turn brown. The appearance of a wax coating is accompanied by the maturation of a huge number of spores of a harmful fungus.

Bubbles of a pale green color that gradually turn red, and then turn brown

Thickened leaf plates rapidly wither, dry and crumble. First, the foliage falls from the lower shoots, then the disease passes to upper part trees. Both annual and biennial branches differ in their special susceptibility to the disease. Branches are characterized by:

  • acquisition of a yellow tint;
  • curvature;
  • thickening.

A weak touch causes the shoots to break off at a later stage of curliness. Peach does not bear fruit due to short and thickened internodes. Deformation of the formed buds and dying off occur with severe damage to crops.

Treatment Methods

If peach leaf curl is detected, treatment is started immediately. AT advanced cases the disease leads to hardening, loss of taste and inedibility of the fruit.

Peach Treatment Should Be Started

Removing infected foliage

It is difficult to resist curlyness, but it is possible. The main thing is to fight the fungal infection in a complex way. If the tips of the leaves are curling, it's time to prune and remove the infected branches. The treatment procedure is carried out in May or June with severe symptoms of curliness. Experienced summer residents carry out the operation several times to reliably protect the peach from damage.

Spraying against curly

Spraying is an effective means in the battle against phytodiseases. It is useful to take into account the time of infection of the tree. If the plant overcomes peach curl, the methods of control after flowering are mixtures of biological products. Among them are:

  • Trichodermin;
  • Planriz;
  • Pentaphage.

Spraying against curly

Beginning gardeners are interested in how to combat peach curl in the intensive phase. The best preparations are those containing copper:

  • Folpan and Raek;
  • Oxyhom and Hom.

It is appropriate to use fungicides and copper oxychloride. Until the buds open, help resist frizzinesssheetin:

  • lime milk;
  • copper sulfate;
  • urea.

Peaches are sprayed with 1% copper sulphate, which is obtained from 50 g of the drug and 10 liters of tepid liquid. The age of the tree affects the consumption rate, which ranges from 2-10 liters per plant. The solution is not subject to storage, it is prepared before processing the peach. The repetition of the manipulation is carried out after 5 days to consolidate the effect, usually a single sanitization is ineffective.
In late autumn, spraying of peach and soil is required in the near-stem zone - in place of fallen leaves. Carry out the treatment without the use of fungicides.

Peaches are sprayed with 1% copper sulphate,

Treatment with Bordeaux mixture

In opposition to curliness, the Bordeaux mixture (3%) helps out. The processing method has a drawback - toxicity. During therapy with Bordeaux mixture, it is noted that the peach is delayed to enter the fruiting phase, the yield is significantly reduced. If a peach is sprayed with a product, the accumulation of copper in the foliage will increase. In addition, with the growth of branches, the content of heavy metal will increase.

However, the benefits cannot be denied. this method. The systematic use of Bordeaux mixture has a beneficial effect on the plant. Valued in battle infectious disease that haunts the peach for several years in a row.

Clay application

With curly peach, folk remedies are in demand. In gardeners, clay finds use when resisting the curliness of peach foliage. It is applied together with lime and is an effective coupling element. Used as a sorbent, it has a number of nutritional components:

  • gray;
  • aluminum;
  • silicon.

Clay is used with lime

To prepare an emulsion, you will need 10 liters of liquid, 350 g of soft clay, 90 g of slaked lime. Clay is placed in water, thoroughly kneaded, then lime milk is introduced in a trickle. Achieve homogeneity of the suspension.

On a note. The emulsion is prepared immediately before spraying peach plantations.

If the peach was treated with lime and clay, the treatment will be productive, at the same time it will help improve the chemical-physical and biological parameters of the peach and nourish the tree with minerals.

New generation tools

When the lime-clay mortar does not have the proper effect, and the Bordeaux mixture is undesirable for use, they resort to new generation chemicals. To minimize harm to the culture, suitable:

  • Horus;
  • Delan;
  • Speed

The drugs are used in turn, in combination or separately. In addition, the addition of a mixture of lime and clay greatly enhances the effect of Horus. According to agronomists, chemicals are responsible for 98% of productivity in curing leaf curl.

Time to spray

Distinctive features of peach curl therapy are complexity and not always effectiveness.

It is important to use the scheme for prevention:

  1. It is first sprayed with copper-containing agents at the stage of bud break, with the advent of spring, usually in April or May, depending on the growing area.
  2. The next treatment is just right after 2-4 days.
  3. The final processing is carried out after flowering. In addition, the content of the active component is reduced.
  4. In regions that are characterized by increased humidity and the fixation of cases of fungal infections of plants, peaches are treated from curlyness in more early dates. Start spraying peaches before buds form.

Protection and prevention

Measures that are taken from curliness in a timely manner protect peaches from illness. The threat lurks in the rapid infection of young leaves and branches. without treatment and preventive measures peach is destroyed.

From curliness provides cutting of the affected, dry branches

Protective measures are taken early with the onset of spring, until the buds swell. In different Russian regions, the time period is adapted to local weather conditions. In the northern regions, events take place in the middle of the spring season, in the south, events fall in the first ten days of March. Finish processing peach trees in the fall.

Curly treatment involves cutting off affected, dry branches, where the fungus usually overwinters. Pruning of charged shoots must be done before the buds swell, if the operation was not carried out in the autumn.

Biological products are popular:

  • Guapsin;
  • Planriz;
  • Trichodermin.

Trichodermin

They do not harm peach plantings and do not accumulate in crops. Means resist curl before flowering, as well as after and during fruiting. Preparations do not affect the taste and color of fruits. The effect of bacterial agents is felt after two or three days. There is no time interval between processing and harvesting.

It is important to carefully choose a peach planting site. Trees are planted in a sunlit area, at a considerable distance from other trees.

Preventive treatment with copper sulfate (1%) or Bordeaux mixture (3%) is carried out twice a year: after autumn leaf fall until spring bud break. When grown in unfavorable areas, spray up to 4 times with fungicides during the growing season.

They loosen the soil in the near-stem circle, both in summer and autumn, and eliminate spoiled fruits and foliage.

To strengthen the immune system, peach is advised to feed potash fertilizer at the rate of half a glass of funds for 10 liters of liquid and pour near the trunk.

Processing rules

Cut off the affected shoots in autumn

In order to achieve positive action, one cannot ignore technological process processing, otherwise diligence will not be useful - the mixture will be used up, harmful insects and fungal infection will remain. For an effective result, follow the recommendations:

Leaf curl is a common and very dangerous disease for peach. The disease develops at a rapid pace, affecting the garden. Productive methods infection control - crop spraying systemic fungicides. To avoid the reproduction of fungal spores on foliage and branches, the state of the garden is monitored and preventive measures are taken in time.

Diseases fruit trees cause a lot of trouble for gardeners. It is very important to know what correct handling garden and disease. Dear readers, together with a horticulture and horticulture consultant, candidate biological sciences Vladimir Kiryushkin, we will talk about protection against a disease that is in the first place in terms of harmfulness - this is the curl of peach leaves.

The initial manifestations of the disease appear at the very beginning of spring: pimply vesicles appear on fresh leaves, later they acquire a reddish tint. And this emerging problem is very relevant everywhere.

Peach leaf curl fungus - Taphrina deformans »

Some gardeners suggest that such damage is the result of aphid habitation. We can definitely say: crumpled peach leaves at this time of the year are not aphids. This is fungal disease, which manifests itself precisely in the spring, when, with the onset of heat, active growth shoots, and the fungus immediately affects peaches and nectarines.

On control

Preventive methods of dealing with a disease such as leaf curl begin in the fall. When the air temperature drops to 10-5 degrees, you must do the following:

  • Pruning infected trees and spraying them with copper sulphate or a solution of sulfur and lime.
  • The trunk circle must be freed from all residues, leaves and branches should be burned, and the soil loosened.
  • In early March, the plant is treated with a sprayer with a 1% solution of copper sulfate. After a few days, spraying must be repeated. You can also use a 3% solution of Bordeaux liquid.
  • To reduce the risk of this disease, for planting a peach, you need to choose dry, well-lit areas of the garden.

How to treat peach from curly

The resulting swollen leaves will fall off after a while. But our task is to make sure that the leaf curl disease does not affect new young leaves. Therefore, trees must be processed. How to process a peach from leaf curl, we will tell you in detail.

If the degree of damage is still high, it is better to use systemic drugs"Horus" and "Skor" (chemicals). To a lesser extent, you can use "Strobi", "Ridomil Gold". Processing should be repeated every two weeks, and it is possible once every 10 days. And better drugs change: First spray with "Ridomil", then "Soon", and after - "Horus".

But the first treatment, while it’s still cool, is better to do with Horus, and then with Skor and Ridomil

And with systemic (chemical) substances, trees need to be treated once every 2 weeks

Increasing knowledge

Chemical fungicides and insecticides are of systemic and contact action.

Contact preparations only work at the site of application. Their action is limited only to the surface of leaves and fruits. This means that before eating the fruits, it is enough just to wash them well so that they are safe.

- action systemic drugs much more effective as they penetrate the capillaries of the plant. That is, the fruits are also impregnated with the drug, it takes time for the active substance to disintegrate. The instructions for each drug indicate how long after use the fruits can be eaten.

Peach processing. What will the bees say?

The term of "waiting" for the action of the "chemistry" listed above is about a month. Ripe peaches, ready for picking, will be here, in the Kiev region (even if it is an early Kyiv variety), in the second decade of July. Until this time, the drugs will have time to completely decompose.

As for the harm of preparations for flying insects - the same bees, then at this time the treatments were already formed here, the ovaries are clearly visible, and nectar is not released. This means that the bees do not fly at this time, so the ongoing activities will not bring harm.

If no action is taken, then the fungal infection that causes leaf curl, in principle, will stop by itself around July. But the peach will not only lose all the leaves, but may also shed the ovary. In addition, it will almost certainly freeze next winter. Therefore, we recommend that you follow our recommendations on how to treat peach leaves for curliness in order to preserve your crop.

The problem with peach variety Kyiv early is that when it was bred, the emphasis was on winter hardiness. That is, the most-most were chosen winter-hardy varieties able to withstand up to - 25-27 degrees Celsius. Therefore, this variety winters in the northernmost peach growing zone. In general, it is very difficult to deduce at the same time very resistant variety to diseases, such as peach curl, and at the same time be winter-hardy.

Later, the variety "Memory of Rodionov" was obtained (it was bred by the same Rodionov, who created the variety "Kyiv Early"). This variety is more or less resistant to curl, but it is very rare and difficult to obtain.

If you find leaf curl on your trees, treatment is necessary. Otherwise, you may be left without beautiful and very useful fruits.

In the case where there is already a large lesion, it is advisable to collect and burn all diseased leaves in order to avoid infecting new leaves. And, of course, process the trees

Processing fruit trees from diseases is not a whim, but a mandatory measure when maintaining your garden.

Peach curl is common and very dangerous disease. In an infected tree, leaves and shoots are deformed, yield is reduced and development is slowed down. If you do not take action, the tree may die. We will learn how to recognize and cure this disease in time.

Of all the various diseases of the peach, curl is the most common. The causative agent of the disease is the fungus Taphrina deformans. In spring, it penetrates inside the tree through buds and microcracks on the shoots.

The fungus infects young leaves, most often aged 5 to 8 days, growing on one- and two-year-old shoots. Foliage that has already appeared two weeks ago can only get sick in rare cases. Infected leaves become a breeding ground for new spores that overwinter in the bark. In the spring, the infection cycle repeats. Favorable conditions for the development of the fungus are cool and high humidity.

Main features

The curl of peach leaves initially manifests itself as the appearance of small light green swellings. After a few days they turn red, then darken to brown. A waxy coating appears on the surface. The affected leaf thickens, dries up, gradually blackens, and finally falls off.

The disease primarily affects the lower leaves on the branch, then rises, so that as a result, only 2–3 leaves may remain at the top of the shoot. Tree branches also suffer: gum protrudes on them, they deform, thicken, turn yellow and die after a while. On new sprouts, the internodes are shortened and thickened, which worsens the yield. For extensive infection most of of flowers dies off without having time to form ovaries, and a few fruits turn out to be inedible due to rigidity and loss of taste. If the disease is not treated, the frost resistance of the peach will drop sharply and the tree may not survive the first winter.

Treatment and prevention

In the advanced stage, this infection is very difficult to cope with, so treatment should be started immediately after the first deformed leaves were found. The fight against peach curl begins with the removal of infected shoots. They must be cut and burned (preferably outside the site), and cover the wounds on the tree with garden pitch.

Then the peach should be treated with fungicides. This should be done before and after flowering. The tool "Skor" has proven itself well. It blocks the growth of fungal mycelium and to a small extent prevents the formation of spores. Doesn't wash off with rain. It works most effectively at a temperature of +14–25 °C. In addition to fighting the disease, it strengthens the plant's immunity and increases its yield. The preventive effect of the drug lasts 10 days, the therapeutic effect - 5. For the treatment of curliness, 2 ml of the drug is diluted in 10 liters of water. No more than 4 treatments are allowed per season.

Chorus goes well with Skor. Effective at temperatures from +3 to +20 ° C, two hours after treatment, it is not washed off by rain. It begins to act within 2-3 hours after spraying. The therapeutic effect lasts 36 hours, the prophylactic effect lasts from 7 to 10 days.

Another popular remedy is Abiga-Peak. The drug inhibits the development and respiration of the fungus, suppresses many of its proteins, and is not addictive. It is slightly dangerous for bees (hazard class 3), moderately dangerous for humans. 4 treatments are allowed per season.

"Delan" effectively delays the germination and formation of spores. Doesn't wash off with rain. Not addictive. No more than 3 treatments can be carried out per season. The last time the tree should be sprayed no later than 30 days before harvest.

Of the biological agents, treatment with Planriz, Guapsin or Trichodermin is recommended. They do not harm other plants and do not accumulate in fruits. To reliably get rid of curliness, peach processing after flowering must be carried out several times: using one drug or alternating compatible ones.

You can spray peaches from leaf curl Bordeaux mixture. It gives a quick result, but has a number side effects, in particular, slows down the onset of the productive period and reduces the productivity of the tree. With regular treatments with this agent, copper accumulates in the shoots and leaves.

To combat the disease, folk remedies are also used. They do not act as effectively, therefore they are recommended for mild lesions or as an addition to chemicals. You can spray peach with tobacco infusion: tobacco or tobacco dust (1 kg) is poured with boiling water (5 l) and infused for 2 days. Before use, the strained infusion is additionally diluted with water 1: 2. Spraying should be repeated after 2 weeks.

Another method is the treatment of peach trees with an emulsion of clay (350 g) and slaked lime (90 g). Clay is stirred in 10 liters of water, then lime is added. The solution should be homogeneous, without sediment. Prevention primarily consists in choosing a dry, warm, well-lit place on the site for the seedling.

Twice a year, you need to treat the tree with one of the above drugs. Some gardeners also recommend a mixture of soda and copper sulfate as a preventive measure. The cooking method is as follows: a pack baking soda and 300 g of vitriol are diluted in different containers with water, each 5 liters. Then the vitriol solution is poured in a thin stream into the soda solution - due to the violent reaction, this must be done very slowly and carefully. Timely sanitary pruning of the tree is important.

Fallen leaves should be removed in autumn: they serve as a breeding ground for all kinds of diseases.

Immune varieties

Unfortunately, there are no peaches that are completely resistant to this disease. However, some varieties resist kink better than others. These include: Early Kuban, Juicy, Kyiv 12, Yellow, Saturn, In memory of Rodionov, Favorite Morettini.

Video "Peach curl"

From this video you will learn how to properly deal with peach leaf curl.

Peach belongs to a number of painful crops. It can be affected by fungal, viral, bacterial infections. The leading position is occupied by fungal curl. It is easy to recognize the infection, the young foliage is first covered with brown bubbles, then they take on a curly shape.

With inactivity, the tree does not bloom, or blooms, but the ovaries do not form, and the foliage falls by the beginning of June.

Together with the foliage, shoots are affected, possibly yellowing, thickening, and after drying out.

A seedling weakened by a disease will not be able to survive the frosty winter. If you do not take action in a timely manner, then the end of the season will be crowned with uprooting.

The fungus is resistant to temperature extremes, with the onset of spring it will continue to infect the young growth of the garden.

How to treat a tree?

When the disease is already progressing, the treatment will be ineffective. Only the initial stage is favorable for spraying. That is why it is very important to closely monitor the plant in early spring. If there is suspicion, it is recommended to trim the affected areas. Cut off shoots are removed from the garden. When measures are taken in a timely manner, the spores of the fungus will not have time to spread to the entire tree, and to consolidate the result, they are sprayed with special mixtures.

Subsequently, control processing is also carried out in the fall. Three percent Bordeaux liquid is used.

After the spring removal of diseased branches, the remaining shoots are treated with a weak solution of copper sulfate, repeated after three days. An alternative would be to spray twice with a fifty percent copper chloride solution. After flowering, a single treatment with polycarbocin is carried out.

In periods between treatments, it is required to pay increased attention to the leaves. If they continue to fall, then it is necessary to constantly remove them from the site. It is recommended to remove the layer of earth around the tree. A layer of 20-30 cm is removed with a shovel. In the structure of the soil, there may also be spores of the fungus. After, shed the area with vitriol.

Plants located nearby are also at risk. They also need to be insured. The last proposed recipe will be relevant for all peach neighbors in the garden.

Many years of experience in the use of chemicals Horus speaks about its effectiveness only on initial stage illness. But there are also biological analogues, less aggressive, for example Mikosan. After a single application, the disease no longer made itself felt.

There are varieties that are more likely to be affected by curliness. For example, Red, Juicy, Haven. They are processed at least three times before the flowering period.

Processing has shown good results. Radomil Gold, Profit and Ordan. They are united by the active substance - mancozeb.

A drug Speed also in the recommended group. Can be used as a prophylactic. The validity period is 10-12 days. Differs in non-toxicity, no harmful effects on environment. Two ampoules dissolve in 20 liters of water. The solution is enough to process two acres of garden plantings.

Other means may be used. For example, one percent solution of colloidal sulfur.

But if the air temperature is high: + 26 + 29 peach is processed with ground sulfur mixed with lime in a ratio of two to one.

Effective folk remedies

The most common folk recipe drugs for peach curl: a kilogram of dried tobacco, filled with five liters of water and infused for at least three days. The resulting concentrate is filtered, diluted with water one to two. Spraying is carried out twice with an interval of 14 days.

Another recipe: slaked lime - 50 g, softened clay - 180 g, water - 5 l. An emulsion of a homogeneous consistency is being prepared, it looks like pancake dough. No sediment should be allowed. Processing is carried out immediately, the product cannot be stored, it is used completely.

Peach Curl Resistant Varieties

Experienced gardeners say that varieties that differ in disease resistance do not exist. But science identifies a number of such peaches. Among them: Juicy, Yellow Donetsk, Kuban, Early Simferopol, Saturn and others.

But, even choosing one of the listed varieties, it should be remembered that peach cultivation is not simple. Failure to follow the basic rules will lead the tree to death. In addition to curliness, there are many other diseases that threaten the peach.

Conclusion

Every gardener wants to grow a rich harvest. Unfortunately, this does not always work out; invasions of pests and diseases become obstacles to the goal.

To overcome the curly peach, you can choose both folk and chemicals. But the former have a very low degree of effectiveness, while the latter will help only in the early stages of the disease. If you let everything take its course, then you can completely lose the harvest.

It is important to be attentive to the garden, not to miss the first signs of infection and the development of the disease, and an attempt to cure is ineffective folk remedies will only contribute to the loss of time.

Curly peach foliage is considered a common ailment, which entails the loss of fruits, leaves, poor growth and development of the tree. Peaches need special care and attention. Any inaccurate action, improper processing can cause irreparable harm to the condition and formation of not only a young seedling, but also a fully mature tree.

How is it manifested and what is the danger of the disease?

Peach leaf curl fungal disease, which is found in spring period. It is with the advent of heat that the shoots grow vigorously and the fungus immediately overcomes the peaches. The disease manifests itself on young foliage and shoots. Leaflets that are 5 days old will become infected faster than 2-week-old counterparts.

The manifestation of malaise is expressed in the form of blistering tumors on the leaves. Initially, they are a light greenish tone, then they acquire an amber-reddish color, and then become brown with a waxy color. gray bloom. This is where fungal spores grow.

Bubbles on the foliage gradually become brittle, the leaves themselves thicken, dry out, turn black and fall off. First, the lower ones, then in the middle of the process. Eventually, few leaves remain at the tip of the shoot.

Shoots at the age of 1-2 years and the branches themselves are affected. They acquire yellow tint, thickening, curvature and soon dry up. Trees without shoots cease to bear fruit. Affected buds die off in the first year of infection without producing fruit. If, nevertheless, they are formed, then they turn out to be deformed.

Plant damage symptoms

The disease manifests itself at the very beginning of the growing season. Young, newly opened leaves are characterized by a yellowish or reddish-pink color and a corrugated surface.

The size of the affected leaves is much larger than healthy green ones. With time Bottom part infected leaves acquires a waxy white coating- sporulation of fungi. Diseased leaves soon turn brown, crumble, exposing the base of the process. Infected shoots dry up, the survivors, as a rule, freeze off at the beginning of the frost.

The absence or untimely spraying of a peach seedling from curliness will eventually lead to the exposure of the entire tree. It is weakening and is unlikely to survive the next winter frosts.

Removing affected leaves

Removal of infected peach tree leaves is considered a preventive measure and sanitization. It should be done in spring or autumn.

spring pruning provides for cutting infected with curly and dried shoots, to swollen buds. They must be collected and burned abroad garden plot to prevent the spread of fungal spores.

In autumn, branches with obvious symptoms of the disease are cut off, fallen affected leaves are collected, taken out to a remote area and burned.

How to deal with peach leaf curl?

The fight against unpleasant leaf curl of peach crops includes:

  • removal and burning of infected parts of wood;
  • loosening the soil between plants;
  • autumn and spring spraying with sulfur-lime mortar.

Peaches are very sensitive to leaf curl. Therefore, to identify the disease during the growing season, seedlings must be carefully examined. Prolonged wet weather increases the risk of spreading the disease.

Agrotechnical control measures

Pruning of affected branches should be carried out using the following tools: garden knife, saw;

  • secateurs;
  • lopper.

Tools must be sharp and disinfected.

Peach trees do not react well to any intrusion into their livelihoods. Therefore, in order for the plant not to hurt, pruning must be carried out quickly, correctly, if necessary, with further processing of the sections.

Chemical control measures

For effective treatment of peach curl, fungicides are used, the composition of which includes copper (Skor, Raek, Folpan), Bordeaux 3% liquid, copper sulfate.

You need to apply "Speed" in this way:

  • 1 capsule (2 ml) of the product is dissolved in 10 liters of water per 1 hectare of the garden;
  • therapeutic effect is achieved after 5 days, prevention is 10 days.

The use of "Abiga-Peak" occurs in this way:

  • 40-50 g of the drug is dissolved in 10 liters of water;
  • sprayed 4 times at intervals of 14 days.

The products are non-toxic, practically harmless to amateur gardeners and the atmosphere.

What to spray for curly hair?

Most optimal products for the war against the disease, gardeners allocate copper-containing products that effectively destroy the fungal disease and harmful insects that spread the disease.

Biological agents (Guapsin, Planriz, Trichodermin) have become widely used. They do not have a negative effect on green plantings and do not accumulate inside seedlings.

These drugs are fighting the disease before and after the flowering of the peach tree. At the time of fruiting, the funds do not affect palatability fruits. The impact of bacterial spraying is manifested after 2-3 days.

Growers with extensive experience offer combination spraying, which is widespread and has positive result:

  1. Early in the spring before bud break - 3% emulsion of copper (iron) vitriol or Bordeaux mixture.
  2. The time of the pink ovary phase - if the temperature is less than 20 ° C - "Horus", if more than 20 ° C - "Strobe".
  3. Immediately after flowering - "Skor", "Tilt".
  4. 14 days after the last treatment (with obvious places of infection) - "Skor", "Bayleton".
  5. After the leaves fall - 3% solution of vitriol, Bordeaux liquid.

Treat with folk methods. One of the effective methods is considered to be a clay solution with limestone, which has fungicidal characteristics and increases the self-defense of peach plantations from the fungus.

To prepare a miracle remedy, take:

  • 10 liters of water;
  • 350 g of soft clay;
  • 90 g of limestone (pre-repay).
  • combine water with added clay;
  • stir well;
  • pour white milk in a weak stream.

The mixture must be uniform, without any precipitation. Make an emulsion solution strictly at the time of spraying.

Processing with Bordeaux mixture

Bordeaux mixture in the treatment of foliage has a different effectiveness, depending on how it is made. The most effective in trying to get rid of fungal infections is considered to be a 3% Bordeaux mixture, made by pouring a diluted solution of copper sulfate into white milk.

To process a peach seedling, prepare Bordeaux 3% liquid in the following way:

  • per 10 liters of water take 300 g iron sulphate, 300 g of slaked lime;
  • dissolve vitriol in 5 liters warm water;
  • separately in a container (non-metallic), dissolve milk of lime in 5 liters of water;
  • pour the mixture of vitriol in a small stream into the milk of lime, remembering to stir constantly.

Please note that the quality of the Bordeaux mixture will turn out to be poor if you mix strong solutions of copper sulfate and lime milk, and if you pour strong solution copper sulphate in a weak solution milk of lime.

How to speed up the recovery of a damaged peach?

Rehabilitation of trees after an illness is possible by taking the following measures:

  1. Ensure the right amount of nutrients: systematically feed the soil with minerals and organic matter.
  2. In autumn, take care to protect weak seedlings from freezing in winter.
  3. If the trees have been damaged by frosty weather, correct pruning for foliage rehabilitation. In severely damaged - remove all ovaries.
  4. Carry out treatments with various immunostimulating drugs, growth stimulants, disease resistance phytoactivators: ("Stimmunol", "Novosil", "Zircon").

You need to trim the peach shoots depending on the level of damage to the wood:

  • if the proportion of buds is frozen, and the wood is not damaged, cut branches without flowers;
  • in case of damage to all ovaries or frostbite of shoots, cut longitudinal branches up to 4-5 year old wood, transfer them to lateral branching;
  • in case of damage to skeletal shoots, carry out pruning in the summer (in June), when new branches grow from the awakened buds and it will be possible to assess the picture of wood infection.

Properly performed actions to restore a peach after an illness will increase the chances of curing the tree and getting good harvests.

The gardener in his video talks about how he saved a peach from “leaf curl”:

Disease prevention

Timely measures will protect peach trees from a parasitic disease that is easier to prevent than to cure.
