Nursery design without furniture. Children's room interior

The interior design of the nursery should be approached with the greatest possible care - after all, there will be a special, personal world for your child, a place where he will spend a huge amount of time learning and playing, communicating with friends and dreaming.

Space zoning

Traditionally, several zones are allocated in the nursery at once:

  • for study and creative activities;
  • playground;
  • a place to sleep and rest;
  • a place where all personal belongings will be stored - modular systems or cabinet furniture.

An example of zoning a children's room

It is recommended for each of these zones, but the entire space should be harmoniously decorated. When choosing finishes, colors and decor, the determining factors will be the age of the child and his personal preferences. Do not forget that children grow very quickly and change their preferences, so there can be no universal recommendations here.

Zoning a room with a closet

Advice. Too "childish" interior should not decorate the room for too long - teddy bears are only appropriate for up to three years. But choosing a “dry” minimalist design “for growth” is also not worth it - the time for rational seasoned styles will come much later. And in childhood there should be room for the expression of individuality.

How to choose the right color

Any color, with the possible exception of black and too saturated gloomy purple, can be used in a nursery. The main thing is to choose the right shade and properly place decorative accents. It is better to give preference to a complex and multifaceted tone, but not a local pure color. Choose from yellow, green, white, brown, pink, blue, lilac or blue flowers, but do not forget to evaluate how the tone you like will look in both natural and artificial lighting.

The interior of the children's room in lilac tones

In addition, each shade affects both the child's psyche and the spatial perception of the room, and this should also be taken into account:

Advice. If you want to include a very bright tone in the decoration, dilute it with light shades or snow white, milky or beige. But do not combine more than two or three basic tones, otherwise there will be a feeling of confusion.

Too much bright color can be combined with white or very light tones. For example, three walls can be painted in milky white, and one in bright green. White with a hint - perfect option for children's interior design. You can also combine tones taking into account interior zones - soft pastel colors for the bedroom, the brightest patterns for playground, and for the working corner - dynamic textures that do not allow you to get bored.

Children's room design in white colors

The age of the child also matters - the younger he is, the more calm the atmosphere should be around him. And as they grow older, the crumbs are included in the nursery bright accents- it helps to explore the world, fills with emotions. When decorating a student's room, it will be possible to return to minimalistic concepts - the neutral background of the walls can be easily decorated with crafts or posters without compromising a carefully calibrated interior concept.

Rules for choosing finishing materials

The ceiling in the nursery can be painted, and eco-friendly finishing materials can be used for the floor - quality laminate or linoleum.

Laminate on the floor

Carpet is also allowed (required with a quality certificate) - here you can choose designs with the most spectacular children's drawings (for example, with a railway or a race track all over the floor).

Carpet in the nursery

Also, in the nursery, a comfortable “warm floor” heating system is often provided - naturally, in this case flooring must be compatible with underfloor heating.

What wallpaper to choose?

But the most important finishing material for the nursery - this is wallpaper. It is they who form the right mood, fill the space with patterns and color. What wallpapers are suitable? If we talk about the material, then the following options are possible:

  • paper as an environmentally friendly coating, this category presents the largest number all kinds of drawings - from flowers, peas and cells to complex panels and scenes from cartoons;
  • glass wall - the most durable material, but also the most expensive, it is chosen "for the future", although the number of designs here is limited to several standard textures;
  • non-woven, for painting.

Wallpaper in the children's room

In fact, the best choice for the nursery, it will be the wallpaper for painting. They are economical and practical, because they can be easily washed and repainted, updating the nursery whenever necessary. On such wallpapers there is no pronounced pattern, there is only an unobtrusive texture - but this is more an advantage than a disadvantage. After all, walls can be decorated with family photographs or children's drawings, and disharmony will not arise.

Vinyl wall stickers

You can also use vinyl stickers- with your favorite cartoon characters or flowers, bears or cars.

Advice. If you still want to choose wallpaper with a pattern, then prefer unobtrusive patterns, rather than repetitive motifs that quickly get bored. After all, children's favorite characters change very quickly, and every time this happens, it is difficult.

Rules for choosing furniture

For a nursery, the basic color scheme is important. If the walls are bright, then the furniture is made as light as possible, best of all white. But furniture facades can be bright, decorated with drawings. Facades painted in different colors- they give children's dynamics.

Important to choose correct dimensions furniture

When filling the room with furniture, the age of the child should also be taken into account. So, such a set is selected so that it is convenient, first of all, for parents. Here, a crib, a chair for mom and a high chair, a changing table and a chest of drawers are appropriate.

Children's bed and a small chair for a child

Important. A place to store things is provided necessarily - even at quite small child there will be a large wardrobe, as well as toys, books and bed linen. For these purposes, you can use a stationary or built-in wardrobe, and separate ones are provided for toys.

Bed on the second tier

In the preschooler's room there will already be a low table and, not an arena, but it is mandatory for the student desk or a desk with adjustment options, a comfortable chair and shelves. Do not forget that furniture should not occupy all the free space of the room - after all, children are dynamic and restless, they require a lot of space for games. Therefore, they choose a functional and compact headset and place it around the perimeter, and the play area remains in the center.

Chest of drawers and shelves in the nursery

For children, you can already choose completely ready kit, consisting of a bed, a wardrobe and a table - they can be decorated in the colors of your favorite character or match the chosen theme ( blue facades for or pink- for the castle of the princess).

Children's wardrobe

The style and color scheme of furniture can be anything, but safety remains a key selection criterion. So, the edges of tables and shelves should be rounded, an orthopedic mattress is preferable, or at least with a natural filler.

What should be the lighting for the nursery

In the interior of the children's room, it is desirable to provide several scattered light sources. The top light is most often represented by a central chandelier - it can be unusual shape(in the form of an airplane or hot air balloon, for example), or may be a standard design with a glass or fabric cover.

As additional sources of illumination are used:

  • a night light that allows the child to feel comfortable if he suddenly wakes up at night;
  • LED strips that create decorative lighting;
  • a wall lamp by the bed or armchair so that you can read a book;
  • - necessarily bright, high-quality, with a directional light flux, so that the child's eyes do not get tired under load.

The main fixtures should create a diffused soft light which will not be tiring. And spot lighting should not be pretentious, but as functional as possible. Also in the child's room there should be a sufficient amount natural light- and in order for the sun to please with its rays more often, the windows are not curtained with curtains that are too dense and collect dust.

50 kids room designs options

Many parents are concerned that their children grow up properly and do not need anything. So they choose carefully interior of a children's room for a teenager. After all, it is very important to correctly approach the choice of a room, since it is necessary to take into account correctly all zones. Namely, it is necessary to take into account the study area, the recreation area, the sleep area and the entertainment area.

After all, if you mix all these zones, then sitting at the table, the child will be distracted by toys that can lie nearby. And in general, if the zones are not separated, then the parents will never see order. You also need to make the right choice. It is necessary to think over everything so that the color of a certain zone is conducive to the purpose of this zone.

For example, play area you can make it bright and, for example, glue wallpaper with a pattern. And so that the study area is conducive to reading books and preparing lessons. The seating area should be in soothing colors, not flashy-bright.

You also need to consider the arrangement of furniture so that it does not interfere with the child's free movement. And don't forget about lighting. After all, vision is very important for a child, and not only for a child. I don't think parents want their child to wear hefty glasses in elementary school. I think you understand why you need to seriously consider furniture, lighting and color in the interior of the children's room.

Children are different, in most cases they are capricious, noisy, they grab everything all the time, throw it, and so on. But of course, not everyone is like that, and noisy children are mostly just small ones. And accordingly, for each child you need to adjust the interior. And different interior you need to do it not only because of the character of the child, but simply by gender.

interior of a children's room for a girl

Let's talk about it first interior of a children's room for a girl. The most common myth is that a girl's room should be all pink, fluffy, with an excess of toys, more Barbie dolls, with a lot of bright jewelry and rhinestone. All this will only make your daughter more capricious and nervous. It is better to do it in pastel colors with multi-colored inserts. Or you can make a multi-colored room, but in light colors.

More in a good way introduce the girl to classical music, literature and art, will make her room in classical style. It is not difficult to make such a room, you will need to make muted tones with a predominance brown shades, choose wooden furniture and that it is of the correct shape. Try to use only natural fabrics in the interior, such as silk, cotton, satin and wool.

Of the accessories, you can use paintings in massive frames. The chandelier should be large and regular in shape. You can also make curly legs by the bed and armchair. In such an interior, your girl will grow up quiet and calm.

interior of a small children's room

If you need interior of a small children's room for a girl, don’t worry, minimalism in the interior also looks good. Perhaps it is in such a room that the child will feel more comfortable, since the room is not large, which means there will be less unnecessary rubbish in it. After all, when you try to use every centimeter in the room to good use, which means there will be less unnecessary furniture and everything will be only the most necessary. Perfect for a small room bright wallpaper with a simple pattern.

If possible, then do big window, then the room will be visually larger. If the window is small, then make it bigger spotlights throughout the room. Must be light curtains and light furniture. As a rule, a light color visually enlarges the room. Put only the necessary furniture, this is a bed, a desk, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. If the room is not quite small, then hang a couple of shelves. And hang in the room large mirror and preferably more than one, this will also allow you to slightly enlarge the room. How exactly to make a room beautiful, it is best to look children's room interior photo, then you can not only think over, but also already see the finished result.

If you still want to pamper your little princess, but not completely spoil, then you can make a romantic interior. To do this, use not bright colors, such as beige, white, coral, pale pink. And try to make sure that one color prevails in the room, and the second, as it were, sets it off. Choose natural fabrics such as cotton, silk and wool. Furniture should be elegant with curly legs and a high headboard. A large closet or maybe even a chest of drawers is well suited to such a bed.

If the room is large, then you can put a bedside table and a table with big mirror for cosmetics and other small things. Accessories such as pillows are also very important. different shapes and colors, small lamps, soft fabrics, photo frames on the wall. If the area of \u200b\u200bthe room allows, then you can put soft ottomans. But all furniture and accessories should be beautifully combined. Such an interior is suitable for a dreamy girl who wants to become a princess.

interior of a children's room for a boy

Now let's talk about interior of a children's room for a boy. A room for a boy should also be cozy, but it is better to make it more strict than a room for a girl. Thus, the boy will grow up faster and will not be capricious. For a boy's room, almost any color is suitable, except for those that are feminine, namely pink and purple. Choose the color of the room according to the age of the child. If he is a newborn or preschool age, it is better to make a room in pastel colors. You can also make the room multi-colored, yellow, blue or green, but the colors should be pale.

Interior of children's small rooms it will be necessary to make it light, due to the lightness, the room will look larger. When the boy is already going to school, you can make the room bright. bright blue or bright green is good. But do not limit yourself to one color, use several colors. It is best to use one bright color, for example, blue, green, yellow, red, and choose a neutral color for the second, for example, milky, white, light gray, beige.

You can also use a third color, but then it is advisable to choose a color that is not bright and that it goes well with the previous two. If you do not know how to combine colors beautifully, then do plain room and over time, fill with other colors that the child likes. See photo for main color. kids room interior design for boy.

for boy. A photo

If you have a newborn boy, then you can make a room in light shades, or paste light wallpaper, but with a bright pattern. You can also stick a few medium-sized posters and paintings on the walls. If you have a boy under 10 years old, then make the room in bright colors. At this age, the boy already knows what he likes, and therefore parents should listen to the child and take into account his wishes.

At least at this age, the child knows what color he likes. But you should not do absolutely everything that the child wants, otherwise it will not turn out to be a room, but a collection of cars, cubes, Lego constructor, and so on. Don't you know boys? They just want to play and run all day long. It is better to choose with drawings in the form of cars and animals. But a room made in a plain style will be more attractive and will not get bored after a couple of months, unlike wallpaper with a pattern.

interior of a teenage children's room

And if you already have an adult boy aged 15-16, then let him come up with interior of a teenage children's room for himself. He will know better what he needs. He will choose the color of the room, choose furniture and accessories. You just have to buy everything.

It's good to have a child in the family. Can be done for my daughter beautiful bedroom for a princess with a lot of dolls. For a boy, you can make a room with cars and a designer. But what kind of room to make when there are two children? Okay, if they have a small age difference and they are the same sex. And it’s good, of course, if there are enough rooms so that each child has his own room. Unfortunately, not always parents can provide a child with a separate room. But how to arrange children's room interior for two children, for a boy and a girl? Parents should sweat a lot over such a room and think through everything to take into account the needs of each child.

You should start with the age category. If one child is very small, and the second is already an adult and goes to school, then the room should actually be divided into two parts. For the older one, it is necessary to make a working area, and for the younger one, a play area, and preferably so that they do not interfere with each other. If the children are of different sexes, then take care of the screens, curtains and so on. So that their zones are as private as possible. Another problem that many parents face when making a room for two children at once is the lack of space.

But this problem is easily solved, since transforming furniture is now very common. Also, a lot of furniture can now be found with a lot of shelves, drawers and compartments. Regardless of whether children are same-sex or not, everyone needs to have their own closet, or at least their own shelves. You can buy immediately modular furniture, but it is enough to buy one cabinet, but, for example, make shelves of different colors. Make different colors do-it-yourself children's room interior not difficult, just glue the shelves with colored film.

The problem that parents still face is this. Even one bed will take up a lot of space, but here you need to put two at all. Of course, the simplest solution is a bunk bed. This option will come in handy if you have same-sex children with a small age difference, and if someone agrees to sleep upstairs.

The next problem is to choose a color for the room. If you have girls, then pink will be a win-win option, and if you have boys, then blue. But then again, maybe the kids don't like those colors at all. What if children are different? Doing a pink and blue room is not worth it. If the children are small, then stop at light milky shades.

And when the children grow up, then give them the opportunity to decide what color their room will be. If they prefer different colors, then try to combine these two colors. For example, a girl likes pink and a boy likes green, then you can use these two colors in the design, but so that the room does not look too colorful, you can dilute it with white or beige. And if your children are funny and creative and their tastes converge, then you can use wallpaper in the interior of the children's room. Let the children pick up a picture that they both like, and feel free to stick it on the walls.

I hope you manage to do nice room for your child and then the child will be happy and you. And everyone will live in harmony and understanding.

Nursery design for newborns

The interior of the nursery for two children. A photo

In the process of implementation, I got so carried away that I took a lot of photos, chose the best of them and decided to show you, commenting on them in the first person!

Do not judge strictly, because This is my first creative impulse in the writing field))

A little background

So, our family consists of 4 people: me, my husband and our two beloved children - the son of Kirill and the daughter of Margarita. We live in the city of Gomel (Belarus) in a cottage village.

In order to move quickly, we decided to first make two rooms: a bedroom and a kitchen, and finish the rest, as they say, in the process.

When the daughter was still in plans, and the son was very small, the crib was in our room. There was no urgent need for a separate children's room at that time.

But time passed... It was time to give birth to a daughter and we decided to move Cyril to his room, which at that time was without repair and furniture.

Children's room design

We started from the floor. We decided to lay floorboard from natural wood.

We then proceeded to select colors walls and ceiling. If everything was simple and clear with the ceiling - classic white, then the walls are not so simple.

What color to choose? What shades to dilute it? Blue, yellow, green - what?

The Internet has come to our rescue. We reviewed a lot of photos with the design of children's bedrooms for boys, read the recommendations of experts and even looked into the "psychology of color and its effect on a person", just in case))

We settled on two colors: light green and orange- association with summer, warmth, comfort.

They finally made a decision when they saw in one of the stores children's wallpaper, which ideally combined, in our view, with the overall interior of the future children's room.

The total area of the room is about 12 sq.m.

Three sides of the room were painted light green, and the shade was chosen in such a way that the light green on the wallpaper matched the color of the walls.

On the wall along which the children's bed was supposed to be placed, the same wallpaper was pasted.

To the ceiling hung a chandelier.

From leftovers ceiling plinth, a piece of wallpaper and cardboard i decided to make a picture.

My husband cut the corners of the ceiling plinth at 45 degrees, and I glued everything into a frame.

Then I took a piece of cardboard of the right size.

I cut the wallpaper to size and pasted it on a cardboard base.

Putting all the components together, we got this picture.

Place for a painting was picked up on the adjacent wall.

Selected for windows horizontal blinds orange color.

During the day, when you close them at a quiet hour, the light in the room becomes soft and warm, and the child falls asleep quickly and sleeps well.

Furniture for the children's room

Children's furniture decided make to order. We began to study the proposals of furniture companies in our city: prices, terms, quality of material and accessories.

After several days of searching, a friend of my husband came to visit us, who works in a furniture company in Moscow. After a short dialogue for family table, a friend volunteered to help us with furniture for the children's room. The issue with the search for the artist was resolved by itself))

We started with measurements and discussion of future furniture. In general, with my direct participationfurniture master” painted bed sketch, bookshelves and built-in wardrobe, then marked in the sketch all required dimensions and advised which materials are best.

Chipboard was chosen by the Austrian company Egger. I didn’t remember the rest, because. I don't understand furniture terminology. But my husband said that all the material is of high quality, and I believe him!

Half an hour later, we already knew the cost of all turnkey furniture.

My first thought at that moment: “This is some kind of joke...” The price was very attractive, even taking into account the delivery from Moscow.

True, with delivery, as it turned out later, we were very lucky, because. a family friend was fulfilling some large order in our city and our furniture was supposed to arrive from Moscow with a car.

Two weeks later, my joy knew no bounds. A car drove up, the guys unloaded everything and brought it into the house.

The next day around 9 am my husband with a friend started assembling baby bed.

I wanted a “one and a half” bed with drawers below and high walls on three sides. Here's how it turned out to put it into practice.

After a couple of hours the bed was ready, after which started on the shelves.

With the shelves, I decided to experiment a little, so they were made straight on one wall and herringbone on the other.

After lunch installation of built-in wardrobe elements has begun.

There was already a niche in the children's room - such a small room measuring 2m x 1.2m, it was decided to equip a dressing room there.

At the planning stage, I again faced a difficult choice - from which side to make shelves, and from which to attach pipes for hangers?

After consulting with my husband, we decided to place shelves and drawers on the left, and a place for hangers on the right.

On the right along the wall there is a heating pipe, we decided not to hide it, but, on the contrary, leave it open and use it for additional drying of things in winter period. In my opinion, it turned out very convenient and practical!

By the evening of the same day, everything was ready!

No matter how trite it may sound, I’ll still say that it’s good to have friends who are ready to help “in difficult” times, for which special thanks to our Moscow friend!

As for other furniture, for example, computer desk , inherited from dad, we plan to replace it with orange-white and add more dresser when my son is a little older.

In the meantime, Kirill is engaged in creativity at the children's table- draws, cuts, glues. By the way, a very convenient and useful "thing" for a 3-year-old child.

Already a month later, as the son “moved to separate apartments” ... Children's toys and books appeared on the shelves, drawers beds contained pillows, blankets, daughter's diapers, napkins, etc., and Walk-in closet transformed into children's clothing.

From the remnants of fiberboard, I decided to make toy boxes. I bought a rope at a hardware store and asked my husband to cut the fiberboard into even pieces of a certain size, while drilling holes along the edges. When my husband gave me the “order”, I tied everything with a rope in original boxes that harmoniously fit into the interior of the nursery.

I hope that you liked my story and inspired me just like me ... After all, it is very important when you share positive emotions, experience, creative idea with people who need it!

I wish you creative success!
