Children's decor studio "BukaBoka": we help create comfort in the children's room. How to make a small nursery cozy for a child Furnishing a children's room and ways to save space

1. Introduction. Room design bedroom children's photo. (Fig. 1) In the previous article, the interiors for children's rooms of a small area were considered and studied. ("Design ideas for a small to medium-sized children's room"). In this article, we will allow ourselves to be distracted by the designs of rooms and other, more spacious areas, as well as rooms on the attic floor. In the photo selection with children's interiors, rooms with very different interiors are presented, which are different from each other in both styles and design methods. Each of the rooms shown in the photographs has its own nuances of decoration and eye-catching bright highlights of the design. Somewhere it is a beautifully decorated ceiling, somewhere the walls are decorated with bright patterns or soft folds of fabric and, of course, a children's room with a play area. At the same time, it is not at all necessary to exactly copy the interior you like. Sometimes just adding a special touch is enough to transform the whole room. Perhaps just such a touch will be found in the examples of interiors shown in the photo, after studying which you will also have a cozy children's room with your own hands. The article is divided into paragraphs that describe each stage of repair and decoration separately. Links in the article will lead to texts with a detailed description of the relevant repair processes and the selection of building materials with tools.

2. Ceiling and lighting. Beautiful ceilings in a children's photo. A beautiful children's room for a boy and a children's room for a little princess. (Fig. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9)

The ceiling can be colored, painted, combined from different materials or just white, but always with a perfectly flat plane. ("ceiling in the nursery") Various methods are used to repair and level the ceiling. The most commonly used plaster and putty with further grinding. The extent of its repair will depend on how the further finishing of the ceiling surface will be. So for whitewashing and painting, you need to make every effort. At the same time, pasting the ceiling with wallpaper, tiles, or when applying decorative liquid wallpaper, the alignment of the ceiling surface will be simplified. ("Do-it-yourself ceiling repair", "Whitewashing the ceiling", "Painting the ceiling", "Wallpaper on the ceiling. Choose, glue, paint", "Unique material - liquid wallpaper on the ceiling", "Repair of the ceiling with minimal costs").

An excellent solution to repair and recreate an attractive smooth surface can be a suspended ceiling. ("Suspended ceilings") Suspended ceilings are divided into several types. In the presented variants of children's rooms, tension and plasterboard options were used, including those combined by connecting plasterboard tiers with stretch canvases. To install suspended plasterboard ceilings, you will need a standard set of tools that any home master usually has in his arsenal. Such a ceiling consists of a frame (often assembled from a metal profile, but there are also wooden beams and here the choice is at the discretion and preference of the master) sheathed with drywall slabs. Such a suspended structure can be flat, two or multi-tiered, with built-in lighting or simply equipped with hanging chandeliers. ("Illuminated plasterboard ceiling", "How to make a plasterboard ceiling", "Multi-level plasterboard ceilings").

But in addition to plasterboard suspended ceilings, structures with stretch fabrics are also often used. Unlike plasterboard surfaces, stretch fabrics do not need additional puttying and decorative finishing. Stretch fabrics are made in two types in a wide color palette and a variety of textures. In addition, stretch fabrics can be immediately made with a printed pattern and even photo printing. But the installation of such structures will require certain skills and specific tools, which are described in the following articles: "Installation of chandeliers, spotlights for stretch ceilings", "How to choose a stretch ceiling", "Stretch ceilings with a pattern", "Types of stretch ceilings". One of the types of suspended ceilings is considered to be sheathing with wood, plastic or other panels made of chipboard, MDF, plywood. An example of this is the photo of the attic children's room, the ceiling and walls, which are sheathed with a wooden board like siding. ("Ceiling in a wooden house", "Working with siding. types of siding and the main stages of sheathing").

3. Repair and decorative wall decoration. Design of apartments photo of children's rooms. Children's room with a car bed, as well as a children's room with a play area and a children's room on the attic floor. (Fig. 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17)

Before proceeding with the decoration of the walls, it is also necessary to carefully prepare. To do this, the old decorative coating is first removed (the wall panels are dismantled, the wallpaper is torn off or the paint is washed off), then the walls are repaired. The surface of walls can be repaired similarly to ceilings in several ways. By updating the layer of plaster and putty, you can cut material costs and save space, but this may require considerable physical effort, and to work with tools and mortars, you need to have building skills, which, however, are easily and quickly acquired in the process. ("Leveling the walls", "Puttying the walls", "Plastering correctly", "Spatulas and additional tools for painting work"). If the estimate and the area of the room allow, then many craftsmen prefer to use plasterboard for repairing walls. Plates of special wall drywall (besides the fact that this material is thermally and water resistant, such drywall is somewhat thicker than ceiling plasterboard) are attached to a pre-installed crate, or, much less often, directly to the wall (although rare, but this also occurs). ("Walls made of drywall", "Walls with niches and drywall shelves"). After repairing the walls, you can begin to decorate them. Children's rooms provide an opportunity to show your creative ideas and make your wildest dreams come true in the interior. In the children's room, both bright walls and colorful drawings will not only be appropriate, but also welcomed in every possible way. The photographs show rooms with several types of finishes, including even the most unusual ones with silk fabrics. But the first thing we will pay attention to is painting the walls. To paint the walls, especially careful leveling and grinding will be required. The plane should be absolutely smooth and then the walls after painting will look attractive. It is also worth noting that wall defects on plain surfaces will be much more visible than on walls painted with all sorts of pictures, ornaments and murals. ("High-quality painting - beautiful walls in the apartment", "Painting walls with water-based paint", "Fragmented wall decor with stickers").

It is equally important to choose the right paint with painting tools. With a large volume of the area to be painted, you can use not only special rollers, but also spray guns. More information about the selection of paints and tools is written in the articles listed below: "wall paint", "Types of spray guns", "Painting tools, brushes, rollers".

The next option for decorative finishes was wallpaper based. Wallpapers are made in a wide range, both in design and in the material used for their production. The choice of wallpaper in the children's room is especially difficult due to the additional requirements put forward to the material. First of all, this concerns the safety of the material for the health of the child, and only after that follows the reliability of the coating, the possibility of wet cleaning and wishes for the design. ("How to paint wallpaper for painting", "Stencils and murals on wallpaper for painting", "Choosing wallpaper for walls") To decorate spacious children's rooms that easily fit a play area, wall decorative panels are often used for decoration. In children's rooms, the use of panels takes on a new meaning. Decorative panels for wall decoration in children's rooms, in addition to being very bright and beautiful, but also very unusual. Such panels are even made with their own hands in the form of pockets on the walls, letters (glued or sewn to a fabric, paper or wooden base). Unusual was the room lined with cloth. Such a colorful decoration is actually quite simple to make. For this, a furniture stapler is taken and with its help the material is sewn to the base on the wall. It can also be sheathing from sheets of plywood, chipboard and other strong material. ("Manufacture of sofas with upholstered do-it-yourself"). In general, decorative panels can be an excellent replacement for drywall slabs or other finishing methods. For example, wooden boards and slats, which are often used for wall cladding, as already noted in the description of the interior, beautifully, reliably and safely decorate wall surfaces. Other types of finishing panels are also widely used. ("Wall panels. Types, features. Photo." , "Wall panels. Do-it-yourself selection and installation", "Wall decoration").

4. Floor surface. Repair and cladding. Modern design of a children's room photo. Children's room with a bunk bed and a children's room for a girl and a boy (Fig. 18, 19, 20, 21)

The rough surface of the floor is repaired using long-proven methods by using a cement screed or replacing parts of a wooden floor. For this, several screed options are used, including modern self-leveling solutions. ("Methods of leveling the floor"). About what materials are used for facing the floor surface, it has been written more than once in articles about children's rooms. The main criterion in the choice of material is the safety of products for the health of the child. And this applies not only to the quality of the raw materials used for the manufacture, but directly to the coating itself. ("How to choose linoleum. Types and features of linoleum." , "Laminate in the interior", "We lay piece parquet on our own", "Parquet board. Do-it-yourself laying", "Types of carpet. We lay carpet ourselves"). So, for example, in children's rooms, laminate and parquet are often used, which are covered with carpets, as well as soft-based linoleum and carpet. Tiles are rarely used to finish the floor in children's rooms, and this is primarily due to the fact that the tile is hard and can cause many injuries due to outdoor children's games. Therefore, a soft floor for children's rooms is welcome.

Gaining popularity and self-leveling floors. This amazing method is especially suitable for spacious children's rooms with enough space to recreate wonderful paintings and 3D images on the floor. ("Types of self-leveling floor", "Do-it-yourself self-leveling floors").

5. Furniture and decor items in the apartment. Decorating a children's room with your own hands photo. (Fig. 22, 23, 24, 25).

A huge role in recreating the original interiors is played by pieces of furniture and decor. It is with their help that you can radically transform the room. Of course, beautiful wallpapers with children's drawings, fairy-tale and cartoon characters painted on the painted walls decorate the nursery and fill the atmosphere with the feeling of a children's holiday, but children's beds in the form of shells with a night light - a pearl, a children's car bed and beds - carriages look especially impressive. Sometimes dads manage to design even beds in the form of beautiful castles with a playground and slides. But if making a bed with your own hands the first time may seem too complicated, then you can start by making bookshelves in the form of a magic tree or chests - boxes for toys. ("Photo gallery of bedroom interiors with beds and canopies", "Bunk beds in the interior of children's rooms.", "Do-it-yourself children's bunk bed. views. photo.", "Children's interiors. carriages for girls, cars for boys"). You can also use more affordable decor methods. For example, rooms decorated with butterflies, flowers and plants look wonderful. Rooms with numerous LED lighting of furniture and ceiling look bright and incredibly attractive. (Fig. 26, 27, 28, 29, 30)

Your baby is about to emerge from infancy. He no longer hangs around the clock on his mother, his activity rolls over. Toys are evenly distributed throughout the house and constantly underfoot, and happy parents regularly struggle with "rock art". A familiar situation, isn't it?

Or here's another - the baby calmed down in his corner, literally for 10 minutes. Parents with experience, of course, will immediately orient themselves in the key “wait for trouble”, and beginners in this troublesome business may miss the offspring’s experiments.

How to make sure that the house of a little man is surrounded by a friendly and developing world? Of course, to organize his own volume - his own children's room. Let's get creative and see how to do it?

1.Panels or walls for painting

Any cub, regardless of age, one day will take a pencil or a felt-tip pen in his hand. You should not limit him in this, maybe he is the future Van Gogh?

Make one wall in the room specifically for drawing, or put a regular double-sided easel with a roll of paper and crayons. This does not guarantee the absence of drawings on expensive wallpaper or paint, but it will teach the baby that drawing is a whole lesson with changing paper, washing the board and pleasantly showing the result to mom.

By the way, if the boards are not enough for a child's violent fantasy, duplicate the easel with simple sheets fixed on the wall. Or even select a piece of the wall "for slaughter". Support talent, and other walls will be safer. And today it is not difficult to paint or paste over a meter of the wall again.

2. Sports corner

Everything is simple here. A growing body needs movement. The ideal option is a Swedish wall with an extension to rings, a horizontal bar and a safety mat on the floor.

If the child has not yet grown up to conscious safety, but has already learned to climb up to the ceiling, just remove a couple of steps from the stairs for a while. The same applies to the armchair.

By the way, it is very likely that you, having installed the Swedish wall, will also regularly hang on it. After all, stretching and simple physical education are also useful for parents ...

3. Furniture for study and sleep

Regardless of the size of the space that you are ready to allocate to the child, it should have a strong, spacious and comfortable bed from the first months of your child's life. Better if made to order, exactly the style of the nursery.

Later, you can add containers for storing toys, a desk, and maybe a second bed for a younger brother or sister. There are a lot of options for children's furniture. There are exceptionally budget and win-win options from IKEA, but if you want to instill good taste in your child from an early age, contact furniture professionals.

By the way furniture for the nursery must be exceptionally durable. Otherwise, a couple of jumps on the bed, and ... a trip to the store for a new sofa.

4. Play area with transformation and quickly removed volumes

Wardrobes and drawers in the nursery are the quintessence of the child's world. This is the repository of his secrets, a property closed from adults. We need to make sure that putting toys in their places also becomes part of the game.

A large drawer under the bed is a good solution to “tidy up” the nursery in one motion. Large plastic boxes or containers, baskets, even ottomans stuffed with soft toys, all this can be simply placed in the room, or you can hide it in a spacious and very beautiful closet.

By the way, in the case when the dimensions of the nursery are cramped, some of the toys can be placed directly on the wall. How? See next paragraph.

5. Every surface needs to work

Walls

Feel free to paint the walls of the nursery in different colors. Harmony of shades contributes to the development of taste. Even if the nursery is just a part of the common room, you can highlight it with color, which will emphasize the isolation of the habitat of a small family member.

Show your imagination, decorate the wall with a tree - a shelf. Or simply place soft fabric pockets on the wall. There are also a lot of wall-mounted educational systems, from sets of lock doors for kids to talking multiplication tables for schoolchildren.

Ceiling

The ceiling can also be painted in an adventure or fairy tale theme.

If you are not ready for such a radical change in the image of the apartment, buy a regular starry sky night lamp. Stars, albeit man-made, it's so romantic...

The floor in the nursery should be safe, warm and hygienic.

By the way, it is useful for children to be barefoot at home - this is both hardening and proper formation of the foot. Solutions range from perfect cork to quality laminate or smooth wooden planks.

6. Lamps for entertainment, work, nightlights

The light in the nursery should be varied - general with adjustable brightness, local - for favorite activities, subdued for reading a book before bedtime. There are a lot of options for lamps, but one thing is clear - a single chandelier is definitely not enough. We'll have to think about the whole lighting system. And do not save on sockets by setting the maximum number of them even during repairs. The child will grow, furniture, electrical appliances and lamps will move. Why do you need meters of extension cords?

Night light is an individual matter. It is often easier for babies to sleep with light, but psychologists say that the natural conditions for human sleep are darkness.

By the way, that's where the night light should definitely settle, so it's in the toilet. Then the midnight trips of the child to the potty and back will not be a path into darkness for him and ... will quickly teach him not to pee in bed.

7. Thematic decorations in accordance with the hobbies of the child

Your child has accumulated fifty soft toys, and you do not know how to get rid of them? Sew or buy a bag with a zipper - that's the ottoman ready, inside of which this whole zoo will settle.

Another thing is knights in armor, cars or dinosaurs, rubber bouncing balls, or a collection of outlandish shells brought from the sea. Why not arrange them visually - in a flat showcase or shelf?

By the way, such a move will greatly please the guests, who must definitely come to your child. Perhaps it will even teach you to share the most valuable exhibit with your beloved friend. Well, or protect your "gold" from immodest encroachments.

8. Guests? No problems!

However, a flock of kids left in the nursery for half an hour can nullify a week-long effort to restore order. This means that it is necessary to immediately limit the circle of what is subjected to an intensified defeat of the gang of rabid backbiters, and hide everything else. For example, in the same drawer under the bed.

Here are proven methods and modern interior design ideas that will tell you how to make a room cozy and comfortable. We present to your attention a collection of photos of functional, family, beautiful and fashionable design projects and decorating tips that will help you add coziness and charm to your room with your own hands and without repair.

How to make a room cozy with your own hands - photo

Elements embodying coziness and comfort help to make the “correct” interior warm and homey. You are well acquainted with them, but in order for these details to “work” for comfort, and not create a mess in the house, they must be used correctly.

Randomly scattered anywhere, not coordinated in color with other elements of the interior, pillows will not decorate, but will mess up your home. Beautiful, but too hard pillows will make you and your guests want to remove them when you sit down to rest, so:

  • Choose soft voluminous pillows: down, synthetic winterizer, holofiber. The most environmentally friendly filler options are bamboo fiber and buckwheat husks.
  • Pillows can be laid out not only on the sofa, but also on armchairs, on the floor.
  • The color of the pillows should be repeated in other things that are in the room (curtains, carpet, wallpaper, lamps, flower pots, etc.).

Depending on the season, pillows (or covers for them) can be changed in autumn and winter, knitted and woolen warm soothing shades can be used, in spring and summer - silk and cotton, rich saturated colors.

How to make a cozy and beautiful small room

Functional layout and comfortable furniture placement are essential to create coziness, especially in small rooms. Modern modular shelving, horizontal and vertical shelves, sofas, chairs and coffee tables can visually enlarge small spaces.

Soft fabrics, soothing and elegant patterns, stylish fabrics and handmade embellishment accessories with embroidery or appliqués, crochet and knitwear bring coziness to the design of a small room and create a stylish yet relaxing and calm atmosphere.

A plaid as a decorative element is very “mobile”: it can travel from room to room on your shoulders, “move” from a sofa to an armchair, from an armchair to a bed, and from there to the floor. But, wherever the blanket is located, it will add comfort to the room.

The most comfortable blankets are cashmere, woolen with the addition of artificial fibers (in this case, the product does not prick), cotton, knitted (especially large knit), and also having a Scottish cage color.

If you are not using the blanket at the moment, do not remove it, but carefully fold it and throw it on the arm of the sofa or the back of the chair: the mere presence of this element will warm the room.

Checkered and colorful blankets look good against the background of furniture and other interior items of calm solid colors.

How to make your dorm room cozier

If you are for the comfort of a dorm room, choose upholstered furniture with textile upholstery, and decorate the windows with fabric curtains.

Excellent creators of comfort - tablecloths, bedspreads, handmade textile elements. They will soften and “domesticate” even the most austere interior.

Curtains and other textile elements can both transform a room and spoil its appearance, so take your choice of colors and textures seriously.

Avoid excessive variegation: the checkered upholstery of the chair, the colorful bedspread on the sofa and the floral curtains will “swear” among themselves.

Bright and colorful elements look good against the background of plain wallpaper and furniture (especially pastel shades).

Set the table with two or three tablecloths of different lengths, peeking out from under the other, and the room in the "dorm" will become more comfortable.

How to make a cozy children's room

To make a child's room cozy, look for white, airy decor with bright details to add warmth and color.

Children's toys and accessories for decorating the interior create a beautiful and cozy interior for the children's room.

Creamy white and light yellow shades of natural wood and dark gray or brown colors are very attractive and beautiful.

Decorative fabrics, wallpaper or vinyl wall stickers, wall art ideas and furniture enhance the style of the interior, and the design of the children's room looks nice, cozy and relaxing.

Handy storage bins, baskets, and shelves made from natural materials can help organize decor and keep a child's bedroom clean and tidy.

How to create a cozy interior of a large room

A wicker basket is a rather rough element, but it creates a special atmosphere in any room, whether it is a kitchen, an entrance hall, a nursery, a bedroom, a living room or a bathroom. With the help of baskets, a city apartment is easy to give the charm of a country house. In addition, this is an additional place to store all kinds of things.

Baskets can be either freestanding, independent interior items, or placed on shelves, in niches of racks, acting as drawers.

It’s good if there are other wicker items (vases, armchair, etc.) “in support” of the baskets in the interior of a large room.

Put colorful balls of yarn in a wicker basket and you will get a beautiful and cozy decor item for your living room or bedroom.

Baskets are made both from natural materials - rattan, vines, bamboo, sea grass, and from artificial ones, which naturally affects the cost.

In our age of information technology, the Internet and gadgets (including for reading), paper books are still in demand. Reading people carefully dust off the tattered spines of old copies bought by their grandmother; books replenish the home library with pleasure. After all, books are not only a source of interesting and useful information, but also a wonderful piece of cozy interior!

Compare two shelves, one of which contains vases and figurines, and the other - books. Which of them "breathes" with life? Of course, the second one! You just want to come up, run your hands along the spines, choosing readings to your liking, and then sit in your favorite chair with a book and a cup of aromatic tea... A classic picture of a cozy evening!

Do not try to place books strictly vertically, "by height". Coziness creates just a little mess, so some books can be placed, some can be placed nearby.

A spectacular technique is the distribution of books in groups by color: in green covers - on one shelf, in red - on another, etc.

Of course, books should not be just decorative elements - they should "live", that is, be read. They will create a warm atmosphere in the house if the owners use them for their own pleasure!

Equipping a new house or starting repairs in an already lived-in apartment, the owners often make one mistake: they try to create the “correct”, ideal interior, similar to an exhibition design sample. But, striving for impeccability, we lose the main thing - warmth and comfort, the feeling of "home". An interior with an excess of gloss is like a decoration for a photo shoot, but not a place for a comfortable life and relaxation. Use these tips on how to make a room cozier and create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere in your home.

The nursery is a special room, and its main feature is multifunctionality. Conditions for study, sleep and rest should be created here. When designing a nursery, it is necessary to take into account many factors, and first of all - the age and gender of the children.
Parents do not always have enough confidence that they will be able to choose the right concept for the interior of the children's room, solve such complex problems as the selection of finishing materials, furniture, curtains and lighting. It will not be superfluous to listen to the opinion of professionals - psychologists, psychotherapists and architects.

What do builders think about it?

What is better to make the floor in the nursery? This issue must be taken very seriously. The child will spend most of the time on the floor, and parents will have to constantly monitor cleanliness and order.

Block parquet is a solid mass of wood, it is beautiful, expensive and durable. The main thing advantage piece of wood parquet– its durability and maintainability. It can not only be sanded, but also scraped, from which a completely deteriorated coating takes on the appearance of a completely new one. The main disadvantage of parquet is the high price. In addition, parquet requires renewal every 5-6 years.
Parquet board. It was invented as a radical replacement for piece parquet. A relatively new material is also environmentally friendly and completely natural, just as beautiful, no less durable and wear-resistant, and with proper care - also very durable. At the same time, it is much easier to install, lighter and, finally, cheaper. A parquet board is made from several layers of wood, but it has a very serious drawback - it cannot be scraped. A useful layer of 4 mm is removed by the first run of the cycle. Damaged parquet must be replaced.
Cork is a 100% environmentally friendly natural material (pressed cork oak bark). Electric charges do not accumulate on the coatings from it, which means that dust does not collect on them, which is important when used in a children's room.
The most remarkable are the high heat and sound insulation of cork materials, which are a honeycomb structure of cells filled with air.
It is easy and pleasant to walk on cork floors (especially barefoot), as vibrations from steps are damped, and not transmitted to the spine. According to doctors, this unloads the musculoskeletal system. In addition, such a floor covering has a very high coefficient of friction, which means that it is not slippery.
In fairness, it should be noted that the lack of cork is a small mechanical strength and hardness.
Laminate Laminate coatings look practically no different from natural parquet. Plus, they have many advantages of their own, among which the most significant are: lower price and higher wear resistance. Installing laminate flooring is quick and easy. The panels are glued together, pulled together with brackets or connected using grooves of different shapes and protruding ridges, forming a tight interlock. There is no dust, shavings, knocking and squealing of machines, which is always in excess when working with natural parquet.
Unfortunately, mid-quality laminate flooring can suffer from prolonged contact with water, so puddles must be wiped up quickly. The service life of the laminate is from 5 to 20 years.
Wool with sisal This unique floor covering is slightly rough to the touch and is made from natural plant fibers - agave leaves. It is laid in the same way as carpet, but only in dry rooms.
Sisal carpets and floor coverings should be vacuumed daily. They are cleaned more thoroughly every six months with dry shampoo or powder. Never use a washing vacuum cleaner! If water is accidentally spilled on the coating, immediately absorb it with blotting paper, and dry the wet area with a hair dryer
Carpeting Carpeting for a nursery should be chosen, certainly taking into account the age of your child. The main requirements are complete safety, maximum comfort and a positive emotional attitude. Toddlers who have not yet learned to walk crawl with extreme enthusiasm and amazing speed. In no case should you deprive them of this pleasure, but taking care of their tender knees and hands is the duty of all reasonable parents. Soft cut pile of medium height and density is ideal. Hard coatings are unacceptable in the room of a child under five years old, as well as models with an excessively high, albeit soft pile. Tiny legs will get confused in these "wilds", besides, daily cleaning in this case can turn into a hard and thankless job of a treasure hunter. Manufacturers offer many options for colors and patterns. Traditional drawing - funny little animals, cartoon characters, etc.
The grown-up naughty (from five to ten) is not so afraid of falling, so the pile of the carpet can become more rigid and resilient. I must say that there are no special objections to synthetics. Synthetic coatings for children are made, as a rule, from special food-grade polyurethane (bottles for all kinds of drinks are also made from it). The decor of the carpet is also changing. Extremely popular painted railroads and streets with all road signs - both funny and useful.

What materials should be preferred when decorating walls?

Wallpaper. To decorate the walls of a children's room, it is best to buy paper wallpapers. Unlike vinyl, paper is a more natural material. Vinyl is the top thin plastic film, which creates beautiful decorative elements on such wallpaper, but prevents the normal exchange of air and humidity between the walls and the air in the room. This is probably why wallpaper manufacturers traditionally carry out the "children's" series in the paper version. Film materials do not absorb moisture and do not allow air to pass through, and this can lead to a violation of the air-humidity regime of the room.
Wallpaper + paint. You can stick modern wallpaper for painting on the walls, which are painted in a wide variety of colors. These wallpapers do not have a continuous vinyl film, however, they are not so durable and usually the results of childish pranks are too visible on them. It should be remembered that the shaded area will almost certainly stand out on the wall. To prevent this from being seen, it will be necessary to paint from corner to corner at least.
Decorative plaster and painting. Structural plaster makes the walls of the nursery more “warm”. This type of finish perfectly masks the unevenness of the walls. In addition, the walls will be better able to withstand the attacks of mischievous people. Decorative painting is applied with a ready-made relief, which it contains. When applying plaster, the pattern depends on the use of various devices, as well as on the master himself. Plaster is a "living" material, so each coating is individual. With the help of various tools - a sponge, a flat brush, a stencil, a roller with a cut out pattern, mittens - you can achieve various decorative effects. Walls with decorative finishes can be made washable by treating them after drying with a layer of matte clear acrylic varnish.
Friezes will make the children's room more lively and fun. They can be used both in combination with wallpaper and on painted walls. The main condition will be the compliance of the frieze pattern with the main tone of the wall. Some frieze drawings can be embedded and decorated with furniture and other items of children's interior. For kids, you can use friezes depicting bunnies, bears, kittens and other cute animals. For older children, a frieze with heroes of popular cartoons is perfect.

What do designers think about it?

The children's room is perhaps the most complex, but at the same time the most interesting in terms of design. The interior of a children's room leaves an indelible imprint on the entire subsequent life of a person, has an impact on the formation of character and personality development.
The main principle of the children's room is versatility and variability. Furnishings should awaken the imagination, create opportunities for various activities and games. In order for the nursery to have all these qualities, designers use the zoning method. As a rule, this room is divided into training, playing parts, as well as a recreation area. A bunk bed would be a great option for solving a recreation area. This frees up additional space where you can place a desk or play area. In addition, it is desirable to install a small sports complex in the children's room.
The desk area should be well lit. In general, the light in the nursery plays a very important role. With the help of various lighting options, unusual lighting effects can be achieved. For example, a glowing neon thread will give a truly fabulous look to a window opening, and spotlights of directional lighting will effectively highlight the necessary interior details.
When planning the interior of a baby’s room, you should not get carried away with architectural delights. Multi-level ceilings, stucco moldings, arched openings, steps and podiums, rather, will console parental pride, and nothing will help the child.
It is also important how the nursery is combined with the rest of the territory of the apartment or house. It is desirable that the child, if desired, could freely be with adults by opening the door of his room, or, conversely, be left alone. The most deaf corner of an apartment or house is not a place for a nursery.
Furniture in the child's room allows you to perfectly emphasize the individuality of your baby. (And modern children begin to realize their individuality very early.) Today, many furniture manufacturers produce special children's series. Such products can be found in the catalogs of companies and in furniture stores.
Children's furniture, as a rule, is made from natural materials. During operation, a table, chair, cabinet should not emit any harmful substances, therefore, when purchasing such furniture, carefully read the product certificate.
In addition, children's furniture is also an element of the game. Well, if it contains various drawers and containers. The child can store his things and toys in them.
Often the child gets tired of his toys. This is quite a common occurrence, so convenient places for storing cars, dolls, cubes, etc. should be provided in advance. The child can independently put his toys, for example, in drawers, and remove them from there as needed. This is also a game that develops a very useful character trait - a tendency to order.
The ceiling space can also serve as an excellent field of activity for the unlimited imagination of the designer. It can look like a starry sky with a moon - a lamp, or it can be dotted with airy cumulus clouds. Birds or kites can fly here. It all depends on your imagination and the individual needs of the child.
The space of the children's room should be very bright. But in this matter, it is important not to overdo it. Curtains are the most tried and tested way to shade a room if needed. They save from excessive sunlight and illumination of the night city.
It is desirable that your baby feel more or less independent in his room. Let him feel it. Let the interior of the nursery have its beneficial effect on the psyche of the child.

What do psychologists think about this?

Psychologists say that human thinking is directly related to the development of visual perception: the finer this perception, the more shades the human eye distinguishes, the more perfect the human brain.
Psychologists advise to surround a baby of the first two years of life only with soft, desaturated colors; when he grows up, the nursery, on the contrary, may well become the brightest, most colorful and cheerful room in the house.
The baby's room should be soft and cozy, in calm, restrained colors. For example, it can be a combination of warm shades of blue combined with pastel yellow, which create a feeling of security and comfort. Children's furniture painted in similar color combinations can make a room cheerful and cheerful. In such an environment, the baby will be able to fully play, learn and relax.
Psychologists believe that starting from the fourth year of life, the baby begins to give preference to contrasting and cheerful colors - pure yellow, red, blue. At this time, it is very important to use pure colors in the design of the nursery, as such colors create a sunny and mobile atmosphere in the children's bedroom and playroom.
Dark shades of spectral colors are undesirable for decorating a nursery, because the closer to black a shade of any color is, the more depressing effect it has on a person. Light shades, on the contrary, evoke positive emotions, correspond to development, youth, strength. Scientists have found that a good, high spirits can be created using the color of ivory - light with a golden hue, and the pale blue color of the walls normalizes blood pressure and improves general condition.
An interesting solution - two-tone walls. For example, a combination of light yellow and light blue, but not monochromatic, but with small spots interspersed with a different shade of the same color: this “breaks” the monotony of color and gives the wall a picturesque look that is pleasing to the eye.
It is very important to choose the right shade of color. Often, for a girl's room, parents choose warm colors, in pinkish tones, for a boy's room - more "cool" color combinations, shades of blue. However, experts do not consider these color preferences a mandatory rule. They only recommend taking into account the impact of colors and shades on the emotional, psychological, and sometimes physical state of a person, which has already been mentioned earlier.
Psychologists recommend solving the interior of a children's room in gentle and pure colors: pinkish, greenish-yellowish, light blue, light green. Pastel colors in the nursery create harmony, they help to make even a dark room more cheerful and comfortable, to create a lively atmosphere in it, very different from the regularity of "adult" rooms. You can make a nursery interesting and comfortable using a small number of shades - for example, in beige and light lilac tones with the addition of brown.
Some experts argue that a very light shade of purple is well suited for a schoolchild's room, as it gives a positive creative impulse and stimulates mental activity. Pastel colors are especially preferred for newborns and infants. Delicate shades of pink, for example, reduce excitement, pleasantly lull.
The walls of the nursery can be decorated with multi-colored bright drawings: flowers, butterflies, animals that develop the child's imagination and curiosity. Light bright contrasting toys can be hung from the ceiling to attract the attention of the child.
At the same time, psychologists and designers do not recommend using a lot of bright colors at the same time so that the room does not become clumsy. Parents should be especially careful when using intense red and orange tones, as their abundance can irritate the child.
When choosing the main color for the nursery, the temperament of the baby who settles in it is also important. For example, in the design of a room for a small phlegmatic or melancholic person, you can use separate, but small, objects of bright red color that stand out with colored “spots”, or paste over the walls with soft pink wallpaper. Such a background and bright red spots will moderately stimulate the activity of the child and increase his immunity.
A gentle blue-blue background will be appropriate in the room of a restless baby - a choleric or an overly excitable sanguine person with an "explosive" temperament. It is also believed that all shades of blue have the ability to strengthen the child's body and stimulate its development. But in a nursery with orange walls, curtains and a mass of colorful toys, on the contrary, it will be very difficult for such an active child to become a “good boy”, finish the game on time and go to bed, since the abundance of bright orange tones has an exciting effect on the psyche.
Many psychologists advise parents who choose the color scheme for the room of their beloved baby, be sure to find out his opinion: ask what color he likes himself, because color preferences reflect the emotional needs of a person, and personal color scale can be considered to a certain extent as an expression of individuality.

Red color

It negatively affects the psyche of the child: they excite it, while, as a rule, blood pressure rises and the risk of headaches and nightmares increases.

Blue color

Acts positively. Despite the depressing effect on the nervous system, the negative effect on the pulse, it relieves muscle tension and dulls pain. However, it happens that being in a room dominated by blue, there is a feeling of fatigue and depression. In the children's room, the presence of blue in small quantities is acceptable (for example, pajamas, a child's bathrobe, a border on a blanket).

yellow color

Absolutely positively affects all aspects of a child's life. This is a great color for decorating a baby's room. It activates the activity of the brain, improves mood, increases the speed of perception, visual acuity. And it is contraindicated only in cases where the child is prone to overexcitation or neuralgia.

Green color

Increases visual acuity. In addition, it contributes to the normalization of blood and eye pressure, stabilizes the pulse and breathing, and also helps concentration, good mood, and has a beneficial effect on insomnia. That is why in the past, working (writing) tables were usually covered with green cloth, and the table lamp had a green lampshade! Drawings, toys and book covers in green colors are exactly what your child needs.

Orange color

This color has a beneficial effect on the digestive organs, increases appetite, but its abundance in the children's room causes overwork and sometimes even dizziness in the child. Therefore, only a few toys can be orange in the nursery.

Color shades

Pastel colors - pale yellow, pale blue, pale green or pink are perfect for a toddler's room. They refresh the room, create a good mood. Therefore, designers recommend painting the walls of the children's room in different colors. For example, to reduce the brightness of the light and create a feeling of coolness, the sun wall can be bluish or greenish; a wall that is in the shade can be peach, yellowish or cream. And to stimulate the creative activity of the child, Japanese designers recommend placing children's drawings directly on the walls. In addition, this factor will give the room an individual, unique style.

What do Feng Shui masters think about this?

The task of parents is to arrange and decorate the children's room so that the child likes it, and so that its feng shui has a beneficial effect on its development, health and success, relationships with relatives and peers.
A favorable direction for boys is east, for girls - east and southeast. The nursery should be oriented in this direction. Well, if her window "looks" to the east, and the bed adjoins the east wall.
East is the direction of growth, progressive development, this side of the world corresponds to the element Wood. In order for a tree to grow healthy, tall and strong, nothing should limit or suppress its growth, someone should take care of its protection and nutrition. The child will feel protected and happy, feeling the care and love of loved ones.
It is best if the bedroom of a child under adolescence is next to the bedroom of the parents.
The baby's nursery should not be too spacious (large area, with a high ceiling), so as not to cause fear, or too small, with a low ceiling that puts pressure on the psyche, restricting movement by walls. Children especially acutely feel the overwhelming influence of various furnishings, colors and light. There should be little furniture in the room, only the most necessary, so that part of the space (in the center of luck, that is, in the center of the room) remains free for games.
In order for the child to fall asleep quickly, and his sleep was calm, neither toys nor the desktop should be visible from his bed. At night, all toys should be put in cabinets or boxes. Make sure that large soft toys, especially those depicting predatory and aggressive animals, do not remain in the room where the child sleeps. Only a favorite toy - a friend and protector of the child - should be left nearby, hanging it on the wall by the bed or placing it on the bedside table.
The rays of the rising sun should penetrate into every corner of the nursery, so the curtains should be moved apart in the early morning. Artificial lighting should be bright, place lighting fixtures at different levels so that the entire room is lit evenly. Hang a chandelier in the center of the ceiling, equip the student's workplace with a table lamp. It is advisable to place a night light by the bed (on the bedside table or on the side of the headboard) so that the child can reach it at any time and turn it on.
Various moving objects and toys, such as clocks with a pendulum and moving parts, windmills, musical carousels and funny mobiles, will help to attract positive energy to the child's room.
"Wind Music" for the nursery should be slightly smaller than usual, brightly colored and have eight pendants.
One or another sector of the nursery should not be activated for no apparent reason. However, the desire of some parents from the very birth of a child to direct his upbringing in the right direction is quite understandable. To achieve this goal, an object or image can be placed by the baby’s bed, symbolizing his future occupation, interest (for example, a musical instrument, a car model, a globe, etc.).

Unfortunately, not every family can afford to create a room taking into account this or that furniture, its location, colors, lighting, and so on. In any case, it is necessary, as far as possible, to follow the advice of specialists. But you always need to know one thing: no matter what the situation in the room, it will not replace the affection, kindness and warmth of mother's hands.

Interesting ideas and tips for creating a beautiful and cozy nursery.

Creating a children's room for the harmonious development of the child.

The photo shows a very cozy children's room. The interior in gentle, pure colors creates an atmosphere of harmony and comfort. The light color of the walls, visually expanding the space, has a beneficial effect on the mental state of the baby, reduces excitement, and relaxes. Soft folds of curtains create a feeling of peace, warmth and security. A comfortable chair next to the bed means reading bedtime stories.

Dimmed night light. A child snuggled up on the bed with his favorite toy. Mom sitting in an armchair and reading an interesting fairy tale... Plunging into the magical world of a fairy tale, the child falls asleep faster. Even the most beloved cartoon cannot replace the warmth of a mother's voice.

Tip 2

The interior of the nursery should be entertaining and have its own unique look. To do this, it is not at all necessary to select furniture in the original design or paint the walls in an unusual color. Sometimes in the interior it is not furniture or walls that attracts attention, but additional accessories and textiles. To make a room unique and one of a kind, both loving mothers and professional designers can do it. For example, an application on the wall in the form of a huge magnifying glass and multi-colored flowers is a wonderful accent.

You can make such a composition from a self-hardening paste. The recipe is simple. We take ten tablespoons of starch, the same amount of toothpaste and PVA glue. We knead everything like a dough, if necessary, adding a small amount of water. From the resulting mass we sculpt anything. The product hardens after 20 minutes. Then we paint it and fasten it to the wall with liquid nails.

Connect your imagination. Imagine that the bright squares from the wall suddenly disappeared. What will the room become? In a faceless, boring room.

The walls in the room play an important role. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully consider their design.

Mosaic of colored squares - the original design of the walls at minimal cost. Would you like to create something similar for yourself? Bolder! Use colored paper, leftover wallpaper. Squares of different shades of the same color or wallpapers with similar patterns on a background of different colors will go well. You can take wallpaper with a large ornament and cut out a shape on it.

Pieces are glued randomly or in a certain order, overlapping or end-to-end. It will be interesting to look squares of two colors, arranged in a checkerboard pattern. You can frame the squares with thin strips. In a word, fantasize. And if the color scheme gets boring - just re-glue the squares.

Children's room for the child - his small apartment. It should fit a bedroom, a living room, and a playroom. Therefore, when planning, it is important to apply the zoning method. The room is divided into two zones: for relaxation and for games. The recreation area should be comfortable for sleeping, and the play area should be spacious and bright. A translucent curtain separates the zones.

In the recreation area there is a bed, a bedside table with a lamp and a spacious wardrobe.

It is advisable to put a small rug in the play area, as children love to play on the floor. Be sure to allocate a place for creative activities: a small table, a comfortable chair and, of course, additional lighting. To keep order, consider storage space for toys.

Items in the nursery should be simple in shape, with large details and no sharp corners.

Tip 5

In the presented version, the original wall decor attracts: white, slightly peeling false shutters. In general, aged things are a win-win option if you need to create an atmosphere of peace and comfort. Fresh flowers in pots are a piece of wildlife that we miss so much. Indoor plants instill in children a love of beauty, bring up patience, accuracy.

The color of the upholstery of the sofa and fresh flowers are very harmoniously combined.

A rich color sofa looks spectacular against a neutral background of walls and floors. It is very important to correctly balance colors, because harmony is born through a combination of two opposites: bright and neutral, energetic and passive, exciting and soothing. The main thing is to choose the right main color and, based on it, create an integral composition and place accents.

The bed in this interior looks simply gorgeous. This look is given to her by a beautiful headboard with smooth lines. It seems that it is very expensive and available only to the elite. But you can also make a similar headboard. There would be a desire. It does not require large financial investments and professional skills of a seamstress or carpenter. Here you need your accuracy, imagination and a little patience.

You will need plywood, foam rubber, fabric, buttons. From plywood we cut out the necessary shape of the headboard. It does not have to be curly, you can choose a simple rectangular shape. Then we glue the foam rubber to the workpiece. From the fabric we sew a cover of a suitable size.

We pull it on the form, sew on the buttons and attach the finished headboard. Alternatively, you can simply paint the panel or draw some kind of pattern on it, decorate it with interior stickers.

Soft pouffes not only create an atmosphere of comfort, but are also very pleasant to use.
