How to correctly read the water meter. Water meter with remote reading

Usage individual devices accounting (meters) of water has long ceased to be a rarity in our city apartments, especially since the installation of these devices is mandatory in accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation. Those who have not installed water meters pay for water according to the consumption standard, taking into account the increasing coefficient to the tariff. However, for those who are just starting to operate the IPU of water, the question often arises: how to properly take and transmit water meter readings.

This is very important, since mistakes made when taking meter readings can lead to problems associated with overpaying a utility resource. That is, only one incorrectly recorded figure can "fly a pretty penny" to the unlucky owner of the apartment.

Location of water meters

Individual water meters are installed according to the recommended scheme of the water metering unit.

They are attached to water pipes someone in the toilet, someone in the kitchen, someone in several places at once (depending on the number of risers). For clarity, the instrument cases are painted in the appropriate colors: red and blue .

To check the correct installation of the meters, before taking the first readings of the water meter, open the cold water tap. In this case, the counter should work of blue color responsible for accounting for cold water. It should spin a six-pointed ring. If you have figured out the location of the meters, and they are working correctly, you can proceed to the next event: the actual taking of water readings.

The numbers on the water meter

There are eight digits on the counter dial, 5 of which black and 3 red colors. The red ones indicate the number of liters used. Payment for the consumed water is made, as a rule, in cubic meters (in thousands of liters). That is, we are only interested in black numbers indicating the number of cubic meters of water used by us during the reporting period.

  • Write the required numbers in a notebook or notebook in the order in which they are shown on the device.
  • Round up the last figure if the number of liters is more than 500.
  • Now you can transfer the readings of water meters to the management company or HOA to pay for the consumed water.

Note! If all sources of water consumption in the house are turned off, and the meter continues to “wind up the numbers”, even at a minimum speed, then in home network there is a leak that needs to be identified and repaired immediately to prevent payment for unused water, as well as to avoid flooding neighbors.

You can check the correct operation of hot and cold water metering devices. in the following way:

Having closed all the taps in the house, pay attention to the counters. They should be in a fixed position, and their readings should remain unchanged. After that, you need to take a pan with a volume of 10 liters and fill it with water to the brim. This manipulation should be done five times, thus gaining 50 liters. Then again check the readings with the actual calculation of water. They should increase by exactly 50 liters.

An example of recording water meter readings

Consider a simple example of how to take water meter readings yourself:

New hot and cold water meters were installed in the apartment, on which the readings at the time of their installation were zero. That is, it looked like this:

  • Hot water: 00000,000
  • Cold water: 00000,000

After a month of using water, the readings on them have changed as follows:

Hot water: 00012,745 . This means that 12,745 liters or 12.745 m 3 of hot water was used during the reporting period. For payment, we need the first 5 digits (which is 00012) and also the next 6th digit to apply the rounding rules. In our case, 0.745 is rounded up to 1. We get the number of cubes for payment: 13.

Cold water: 00020,326 . We take the number of cubic meters of water used: 20 and round it up. According to the rounding rules, 0.326 is 0. This means that the readings of the cold water meter amounted to 20 m 3 of used cold water.

Forms for transferring meter readings

Note! Your receipts may include tear-off slips for transferring water readings. In them, as a rule, it is necessary to indicate not the flow of water, but the current readings of water meters.

This greatly facilitates the work and helps to avoid errors in the calculation of water consumption. The tear-off coupon contains the readings of water meters in cubic meters. Check with your Criminal Code or Homeowners Association whether in this case it is necessary to round the meter readings to whole cubic meters or whether all numbers, including “red”, must be indicated.

If the consumption of cold or hot water in the current period is less than 0.5 m 3 (i.e. less than 500 liters), then we strongly recommend that you indicate all the numbers after the decimal point in the tear-off coupon. Some programs for calculating payment for housing and communal services perceive "zero" readings of water meters as a lack of readings and the mechanism for calculating your water consumption on an average monthly basis for the last 3-6 months is automatically turned on.

Thus, being careful and attentive when recording and transmitting readings, you can not worry about how to correctly take readings from water meters, since serious errors are unlikely to be made. The main thing is to do everything regularly and responsibly.

How to take readings from a water meter will demonstrate the following video:

Why are meter readings not taken into account?

Such a situation may occur due to non-submission or untimely submission of the testimony of the IPU. In the absence of water meter readings in the current month, the calculation of charges is made based on the average monthly volumes of consumption. It is recommended to pay a payment document with the indicated accruals. Next, you need to transfer the meter readings on time and wait for a new payment document. In case of timely submission, meter readings will be taken into account in payment document, as well as recalculation of accruals for the previous period based on actual consumption. The deadlines for transmitting readings from electricity meters are usually from the 15th to the 25th. You can find out information on the timing of the transfer of readings from water meters: in the personal account of the management company or HOA, at the EIRC contact center (if payment is made through the DC), on the website of the management company or HOA, at the client office of the management company or HOA, as well as on website of the GIS housing and communal services (in those regions where the system is fully functional).

Regulations: subparagraph "b" of paragraph 59 of the Rules for the provision utilities owners and users of premises in apartment buildings and residential buildings approved by the Government Decree Russian Federation dated 06.05.2011 No. 354.

Why is it necessary to calibrate metering devices?

The consumer is obliged to ensure the verification of individual, common (apartment), room metering devices installed at the expense of the consumer within the time limits established technical documentation to the meter. Verification of metering devices is performed after the interval between verifications. The calibration interval is determined in the passport of the meter or in the verification certificate. In the event of the expiration of the verification period for the metering device established by the manufacturer, the IPU is recognized as out of order and the use of its data to calculate the amount of utility bills is terminated. The accrual of payments for utilities from the date of expiration of the verification period is based on the average monthly consumption of utility services. However, the specified procedure for settlements can be carried out for no more than three months. After three months, the calculation should be made based on the standards for the consumption of utilities. The accrual of payments based on the readings of the IMS is resumed from the moment the IMS is verified and the given PU is put into operation.

Regulations: item "d" p. 34, pp. "a" p. 59, p. 81 (12) of the Rules for the provision of utility services to owners and users of premises in apartment buildings and residential buildings, approved by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 06.05.2011 No. 354.

Why is it necessary to pay for common house needs (ONE) in the presence of IPU?

According to clause 40, the consumer of utilities in an apartment building, as part of the payment for utilities, separately pays for utilities provided to the consumer in a residential or non-residential premises, and fees for utilities consumed during use common property in an apartment building. Each apartment building receives a certain amount of communal resources, the main share of which is consumed by residents, while some of the resources are used to maintain the house and maintain common house property. According to Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 354, owners are required to pay for both utilities inside the apartment and utilities for general house needs.

Personal Area pgu.mos.ru

More and more utility companies are switching to a remote method of transmitting water meter readings. For example, in Moscow, in Personal account pgu.mos.ru when transmitting water meter readings, the following information must be indicated:

  • Payer code (payer code can be found on the right upper corner on the receipt of the Single payment document intended for payment of housing and communal services)
  • Apartment number
  • Water consumption readings (water consumption units in cubic meters (m3))

Fields for entering meter readings in the Personal Account pgu.mos.ru have the following restrictions.

Reading time: 6 minutes

Installation of water meters is the responsibility of the residents of each apartment. The presence of accounting equipment allows you to reduce consumption natural resources and save cash consumers. After the equipment is installed, it is important to report the consumption information to the service providers in a timely and correct manner. To do this, you need to figure out how to take readings from the water meter.

Is it necessary to install water meters

According to paragraphs. 5 and 6 Art. thirteen federal law dated November 23, 2009 No. 261-FZ “On energy saving and on improving energy efficiency and on amending certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation”, owners of residential buildings, apartments, as well as other premises in apartment buildings must install metering devices for:

  • electricity,
  • heating.

These devices are subject to mandatory registration with management organizations.

Features of the provision of utilities and the calculation of payment are reflected in Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 05/06/2011 No. 354 "On the provision of utilities to owners and users of premises in apartment buildings and residential buildings" (hereinafter - Decree No. 354). According to the norms of Section 2 of the Resolution, an individual meter (meter) is a means for measuring the volume of consumption of a communal resource in a residential or non-residential premises.

In order for the readings of individual water meters to correspond to reality, you need to be able to distinguish between cold and cold meters. hot water, as well as know the rules for removing and providing data.

What is the difference between hot and cold water meters

The cost of hot and cold water is not the same: hot is always more expensive, because it requires heating costs. In this regard, water enters the house through different pipes, each of which has its own metering device. How to understand which one is cold water, and which one is hot? You can define the device type in the following ways:

  1. Devices usually differ in color: they put a meter with a blue case on cold water, and red on hot water.
  2. Conduct an experiment by turning on hot water. Soon her meter will heat up. In addition, if the tap is open, the movement will be noticeable only on one device. When the faucet is open cold water, the readings on its counter change.
  3. In accordance with the standards, the hot water pipe is on top, therefore, a hot water meter is attached to it.

What do the numbers on the device mean?

After the counters are determined, it is necessary to deal with the numbers on them. The device is a flow meter with a built-in counter sensor that moves when the water is turned on. It measures the number of liters used.

  • black numbers show the amount of consumed cubic meters of the resource;
  • red symbols show the spent liters.

Since water consumption per month is paid in cubic meters, it is their number that needs to be found out by the one who takes the readings. This means that liters (red numbers on the display) are not included in the receipt. Thus, it becomes clear what numbers to write in the readings of the water meter.

Procedure for taking evidence

The figures displayed on the device in black are subject to accounting. It is convenient to rewrite the resulting five-digit number for yourself on a piece of paper.

It is important to pay attention to the red numbers: if they exceed the value of 500 liters, the last black number is rounded up. According to this algorithm, it is necessary to write off the readings of water meters.

After that, you should find the readings for the last month, and then subtract them from the current data. The final number will be the value that is recorded in the receipt. Such a settlement operation is simple, but requires care.

Understanding the process is easier with a practical illustration. Suppose metering devices have recently been installed in an apartment, in this case, an example of how to correctly take readings from a water meter will look like this:

After installation, the meter read 00000 000. After a month of using water, the meter shows 00010 601. This means that 10 full cubes of water have been used. The last three digits show that after 10 cubic meters more than 500 liters were spent, therefore, the fifth digit from the beginning is rounded off by one more.

Rounding the cubes up to 11, we get the indicator that should be recorded on the receipt.

After another month, in order to determine new readings, we rewrite the displayed data of the device: 00018 001. Then we take the past readings and subtract them from the current ones: 18-11 = 7.7 - the number of cubes of water used per month.

If you store receipts or records with meter readings for the past months, there will never be any difficulty in how to take readings from hot and cold water meters.

How to fill out a payment receipt

Not only the consumer, but also the supplier organization should know the data on resource consumption. In order to provide the necessary information, the numbers should be reflected in the receipt. The form contains several lines, so you cannot make a mistake when filling them out. Otherwise, you will have to pay for water according to average monthly consumption rates.

To understand where to enter the water meter readings on the receipt, you need to pay attention to the lines in the table. There is a separate place for indications for hot (DHW) and cold water supply (CW).

For DHW and cold water, there are columns "Current" (for recording this month's data) and "Previous" (for past readings). In turn, the final amount of water consumed is entered in the "Consumption" cell - the difference between the current and previous figures.

Here is an example of how to fill out the form. The line "Water disposal" contains the consumption of cold water and hot water in cubic meters. The latest data is added up, after which the resulting amount fits into the "Total" cell.

Important: the current and previous readings of the receipt indicate five black digits (including zeros). All data entered must be entered legibly and clearly visible, as shown in the completed sample below.

How to independently calculate the cost of paying for water

The final cost of services consumed per month is determined based on self-recorded and calculated readings. Only by determining the consumption of hot and cold water, which the consumer entered in the appropriate columns of the receipt form, you can think about how to read the water meter readings.

To do this, you should find out the tariff, usually indicated on the receipt form, and then multiply it by the number of cubes spent. The current tariff can be clarified by phone at the service utility organization.

The cost of wastewater disposal - the output of the used resource - is calculated by multiplying the price of the service by the amount of the volume of water used. To do this, you need to determine how many cubic meters of cold and hot water were spent in general.

How to submit meter readings

One of the ways to transfer evidence is to fill out a receipt form, which must be taken to a service organization or left in a special box at the entrance. Sometimes management companies receive data on consumed water by phone.

In some subjects, you can transfer water meter readings using regional websites or on the State Services portal.

In addition, for example, in Moscow you can use sending SMS to a special service. To do this, indicate the address and data of the payer.

The principle of submission is the same: it is necessary to enter the current data of the meters. After that, all calculations happen automatically. This allows users not to worry about how to enter water meter readings.

How to avoid overpayment

When taking meter readings, you may encounter an unexpected increase in them. In order not to overpay for water, you need to establish the causes of this phenomenon. Most often it is caused by a leak in the pipes. This is easy to detect if no one uses the water, and the meter continues to spin. Then you can find the leak and fix it.

A similar problem can occur due to clogged pipes. The numbers on the counter will not change if the water is turned off. But when it is turned on, the pressure will increase, and the counter will start spinning faster. You can eliminate this by cleaning or replacing the pipe, and then look at the readings more often so as not to miss the moment.

Rules for verifying water meters

Equipment can break down, so it needs to be checked regularly. Decree No. 354 obliges residents to ensure timely verification of metering devices.

Depends on the calibration interval specified by the manufacturer. This information can be found in the technical passport of the water meter.

The verification is carried out by the metrological service. To order a service, you can choose one of the following methods:

  • take the meter to a service organization;
  • call specialists from the organization to the house.

The procedure is paid, and after its completion, the specialist must provide an inspection report and a certificate of equipment serviceability.

What to do if the meter is faulty

If, as a result of the check, it turns out that the water meter is faulty, it must be replaced. This issue is best coordinated with the service organization, since access to the riser is required for replacement. After shutting off the water, the old device is dismantled, and a new one is installed in its place, which is sealed.

The replacement is accompanied by the drawing up of an act of commissioning a new device. The document indicates the data from the old meter, the date of installation and all the parameters of the new equipment. Then the meter is registered with the service organization.

findings

Water meters save money. For this you need:

  • correctly read the readings, paying attention to the fact that the counters differ from each other;
  • learn to interpret the data of metering devices: to distinguish between information on cubic meters and liters;
  • remember about fixing current and previous data, keep records;
  • monitor the health of the meter, do not forget about the need for verification;
  • know how and what numbers to indicate when transferring readings to a service organization.

How to take readings of water meters correctly: Video

The modern world forces us to live economically, to keep all our expenses under control in order to minimize them. Actually, for this purpose, water consumption recorders are installed. Let's figure out how to take readings from a water meter.

Mechanical

A few words about the mechanical part of water meters. The first digits, and there are five of them, indicate the consumed cubic meters of water. The remaining three digits, usually red, represent parts of a cubic meter of liquid. The wheel on the far right indicates liters.

Important information

The water meter should be installed by a specialist, so the manifestation of excessive initiative in this matter is inappropriate. Your task is to purchase counters, one for each riser. AT modern apartment high-rise building such risers, as a rule, can be from one (riser with cold water) to four (2 cold and 2 hot). This task is easy to deal with. Water meters have markings that will help you identify the hot water meter and the cold water meter.

Which water meter is right for you?

The registrar must be serviceable and comply with the data of the state audit. But that's half the battle. Water costs can be reduced and paid for less by carefully checking the existing plumbing. There should be no drips or dripping mixers. It's "dripping" money. Now let's figure out how to correctly read the water meter.

rollers with numbers

For clarity, the counter itself or its picture should be in front of your eyes. As we said above, there are 8 rollers with numbers on the water meter. Three rollers with red numbers and five rollers with black ones.

An example of taking water meter readings

On the counter, for example, here are the readings: 00000720. How to read the water meter in this case? 720 - readings with red numbers are liters. The remaining five digits are zeros.

Report early

So you used up 720 liters of water. But readings are taken in cubes. Therefore, it is still too early for you to "report" on the consumed water. We can draw the first conclusion - the readings are taken by the first five digits. In our case, these are zeros.

A month has passed

The water meter has changed. Now the water meter has the following numbers: 00015939. How to read the water meter this time? That's right, we already know that if the counter has more than three digits, the readings are taken. Almost 16 cubic meters of water were used in a month. For the report, we have rounded off the readings of the water meter.

Another month has passed

A month later, we have the number 00023876. Now 24 cubes have been used up. And for the last month 24-16 = 8. It is for these 8 cubes that you have to pay. Etc…

Correctness of water meter readings

You already know how to take readings from a water meter. Now the most interesting thing remains - to monitor the correct operation of water meters and ensure that there are no leaks. It is very easy to check this. This work can be entrusted to children. The toilet bowl is filled, all taps are closed, and we observe the counter (s). The water meter does not rotate. So everything is in order, there are no leaks.

And the last

How to check if the meter reading is correct? We write down the readings of liters of water (red numbers). We take a 10-liter bucket and pour and pour water three times. We look at the counter. If after this operation you have any doubts about the correctness of his testimony, check it. This is done by special services for checking water meters.

Installing a water meter for cold and hot water can significantly save the family budget. Especially if 1-2 people actually live in the apartment instead of five registered people. But installing a meter is not all that needs to be done to change utility bills. Now it is important to learn how to use the meter and correctly take its readings in cubes of consumed water. Deciphering the actions when taking readings from the water meter in the material below with illustrative photos.

In order to correctly take all the necessary readings of water meters, you must first determine the purpose of the device. That is, which one is used for which water. Everything is simple here:

  • The water meter, enclosed in a blue case, counts cold water;
  • The water meter, which has a red body, calculates the flow of hot water.

Important: you can make sure that the installation and purpose of the devices are correct by simply opening the tap with water. For example, open a faucet hot water and observe the actuation of the metering device. In addition, it is worth knowing that more cold water is always consumed, which means that the readings on it will be large, unlike the hot water meter.

Now you need to figure out the decoding of the values \u200b\u200bon the water meter. For us, only those numbers that are enclosed in a moving dial matter. The numerical values indicated on the top of the meter body are the serial number of the product.

So, back to the moving dial. It is worth knowing that all eight numerical values play a role in calculating the amount of water used. But when taking data, it is necessary to take into account only those numbers that are indicated on the black drums of the moving dial on the left of the water meter. Here, water is already considered in cubes. The same numbers that are indicated on the red drums of the dial take into account the liters of water used. As a rule, they are not taken into account, or they are rounded up or down according to the rules of mathematics.

That is, if the red numbers have a value of less than 500, then in this case you can round the readings down and simply enter the values \u200b\u200bfrom the black dial unchanged into your home sheet. If the red numbers indicate a number greater than 500, then you can round the water meter data up.

An example of taking readings from a water meter

Let's analyze the principle of taking readings from one of the counters. So you have installed accounting device and its initial reading was 00000351. This value simply indicates that the equipment was tested at the factory. Before starting the operation of the counter, you need to have a special notebook and draw it up. The first column will be for the name of the month in which we take readings. The second column will be used for the date on which the readings are taken. The third column is for the digital values themselves from the water meter dial. A fourth column is also needed, in which you need to write the total number of cubes of water consumed (used optionally for more accurate home accounting).

Important: to make it convenient, the notebook must be kept in such a way that there are always two sheets in the spread - the left one for hot water, the right one for cold water.

So, we enter the name of the month and the date in the first and second columns. And in the third we enter the initial readings of the counter. In the fourth column, we write zero for now.

After a lapse of time (month), your water meter wound a certain number of cubes of water that was used for domestic purposes. The reading will be reflected in the black numerals of the drum dial. Perhaps now your data on the counter will be like this 00015615. You need to write the month and date in the appropriate columns, and in the third - the data that the device shows. Now left out more subtract the smaller one, that is, from 00015615-00000351= 00015264. In this case, we discard the last three digits and get the number of cubes of water used - 15.

Important: it is allowed to take readings from the meter without taking into account the last three digits placed on the red part of the dial. Since liters are not taken into account when paying water bills. Only cubes of water are taken into account. In this case, the count in the notebook might look like this (00015-00000=15). That is, you used up 15 cubes of water.

In the same way, data is taken from the second counter. And it is worth remembering that when deriving the number of cubes of water used, it is always from greater value subtract the previous lesser.

Filling out the receipt

After personal home accounting is entered in the right notebook, you need to take care of the correct filling out of the payment receipt for water. It is important to enter all the data in legible and neat handwriting, avoiding errors. Otherwise, the data will not be accepted, and the water bill will be billed according to average standards.

We enter data on the consumed water in the following way:

  • In the column on the current consumption of cold water, it is necessary to enter the data from the meter to date, without taking into account the last three digits on the red dial. Or round them up.
  • In the section of previous readings, you must specify the data of the meter for the last month, also without taking into account the last three red values. The columns for hot water are filled in the same way.
  • Now you need to fill in the "Water Disposal" section. Here you need to specify the summed value of consumed cold and hot water in cubes. That is, add up the amount of cold and hot water consumed per month.

Important: if for some reason the receipt was not provided to the regulatory authority, then the water consumption is displayed based on averaged data for three months. Accordingly, according to these data, the amount of payment for water is also calculated. After providing accurate data, you will definitely be recalculated.

Methods for transferring readings from a meter to water

  • Take the completed receipt to the Housing Office;
  • Send an SMS notification in which you need to correctly indicate the subscriber's personal account and all readings taken from the meter at the current moment and for the last month, by analogy with a receipt;
  • Take advantage of the internet. Let's consider this option in more detail.

Sending data over the Internet

  • In order to send data from the water meter via the Internet, you need to go to the website "Portal of state and municipal services". Here, the resource will require your registration, which you need to do by following the prompts. As a rule, the name of the subscriber, telephone number, Email and personal account.
  • After successful registration, you must select the menu item "meter readings for cold and hot water".
  • Next, you will need to enter the utility payer code.
  • After that, the system will transfer you to the page for entering data from metering devices. Enter all digital values.
  • We confirm the sending and click the "Payment" window.
  • Payment of bills can be made at the bank's cash desk, in the boxes for paying bills or at the branch of your housing office. In this case, no commission is charged for utility bills.

For residents of a communal apartment

If the water meter is installed in communal apartment, then payment for water is carried out by dividing the consumed liquid in cubes by the number of people actually living in the apartment. It does not matter how long a tenant uses the bath, shower or sink.

If this method of payment does not suit you, you can contact the Housing Office with an application for the redistribution of payment of water bills. But this can only be done with the written consent of all residents of a communal apartment.

caring attitude towards water resources not only noble and environmentally essential. In modern economic conditions it becomes more and more attractive in terms of economy family budget. Management companies and energy suppliers intend to tighten control over utility bills. Consumers, in turn, have the right to expect to pay only for those types and volumes that were provided and actually spent.

economical consumption

To date, the government of the Russian Federation has established the following water consumption standards for the population, based on one person per month:

6.935 m³ cold + 4.745 m³ hot = 11.68 m3/month.

If the limit is exceeded, the tariff rate for 1 cubic meter increases sharply. The rates of prices for cold and hot cubic meters for each region and locality are their own and are determined by various factors. The ratio between the cost of cold and heated water in each area is also individual.

In fact, it is difficult for one person to use up almost 12 m³, unless, of course, one takes a bath every day. This figure is overestimated by about 40%. Use of dishwasher and washing machine raise this figure to almost 65%. And if we take into account the mathematical progression for a family of 5 people?

In the case of living in an apartment without meters, the consumer will pay not only his norm according to the number of registered tenants. Vodokanal and Management Company, by simple calculations, they will make them pay for “the same uncounted neighbors” - the indicators of all individual water meters will be subtracted from the total figure on a single house meter and divided by the number of registered people in apartments without meters. The results for the consumer can be disastrous.

So, the use of water meters for calculations with a water utility is more than relevant.

Number of counters

In private households, where water is heated independently, it is installed one single meter. It is mounted inside the house on the inlet pipe as close as possible to the first distributing device or to the heating device. One meter is also installed in the apartments of houses where there is no centralized system hot water supply.

In apartment buildings with central heating, 2 meters are installed - for hot and cold water. If there are 2 supply risers in the layout of the apartment, then 4 meters are installed = 2 hot + 2 cold. At the same time, cold water meters always stand on top of hot ones, since the pipes are laid out in this way according to specifications and norms.

How to take water meter readings

With the advent of the 15th follow these simple steps every month:

Explanation: when taking readings, red numbers can be omitted and thus, do not round up the value of the black numbers on the water meters. The average annual arithmetic error will tend to 0. In worst case it will be approximately 6 cubic meters.

Self-calibration of meters

  • For leakage: 1) record the meter readings; 2) turn off all the taps, including those on devices that work through the use of water; 3) after a few hours, take readings again and compare them with each other.
  • For the correct operation of the counting mechanism: 1) close the valves on all devices that work with water; 2) fix the reading red numbers counter; 3) pour water into the largest container of a known volume prepared in advance - several times; 4) calculate how much was used; 5) compare the volume consumed with the “red liter readings” of the meter.

Reporting and official verification

Metering devices - water meters, after installation and sealing, in without fail must be registered and be registered in the Unified Settlement information center(ERIC), information about which can be obtained from the specialists of the water utility or the Management Company.

After taking readings, making appropriate calculations and paying for the used cubic meters, it is necessary to report to the ERIC or another authorized organization. The data must be transmitted by one of the agreed methods: by phone, by a special form, or, if possible, via the Internet.

Take readings from meters, make payments and submit such a report on a monthly basis from the 15th day of the current month to the 3rd day next.

Hot and cold water meters, like any other metrological devices, must undergo official certified verification in special authorized services:
