Which padlock is the most secure. Padlocks, their types and differences

Instead of a prologue

Recently, the editors of the site portal contacted me - more and more often on the portal forum they ask questions related to the choice of padlocks. I was asked to check the most popular brands for survivability ... Well, a few more models at the same time;)

Padlocks as they are

padlocks are used everywhere: some zip up suitcases with them, which will be handed over to the luggage compartment of an airplane or train. Others hide garden utensils, canned food and even expensive equipment (bicycles, cars, etc.) behind padlocks.

Like any other product, there are many varieties of padlocks. We took several species (perhaps the most common) with different technical specifications to do a little testing and see what protective properties one model or the other.

I emphasize that padlocks of the so-called " open type”, that is, when hanging which, the eyes remain open.

It is this type of padlock that is the most “universal”, that is, it does not require adjustment of the place of the canopy, and, perhaps, the most common in use among the population.

The padlocks of the Cheboksary Aggregate Plant are very widespread in Russia. Good solid locks for different needs and purposes. The assortment of the enterprise includes locks of “light” and “heavy” series.

1) The first sample is the BC 2A model. Probably, everyone has ever seen such a castle, and maybe even uses it now.

The lock of the "light" series: the body is made of aluminum alloy, the shackle is steel, not subjected to heat treatment. Disc security mechanism with a semicircular key.

Fixation of the shackle in the body when the key is turned is carried out in one place. The lock is intended for closing auxiliary non-critical premises. The cost of the lock in stores is from 200 to 240 rubles.

By the way, "Cheboksarka" is now very actively counterfeited in China by dozens of offices. The reason is simple - ChAZ locks, due to their stable quality, have gained popularity in the Russian market and are successful in sales. Therefore, CHAZ has to defend itself against fakes, now all their padlocks in a blister come with a glued hologram, and a certain rectangular screen (photographic film) is put in the kit, through which the originality of the hologram is checked.

2) The next sample: APECS padlock model PD 01-63.

The most common Chinese "clickers". In the image and likeness, they are produced under dozens of different Chinese brands, similar models can be found in: Nora-M, Palladium, Bulat, El, Fuaro and others, and others ... Often, to distinguish such models from two different Chinese manufacturers - a big problem. Most likely, due to the fact that they are stamped at the same factory, and then they stick a sticker of the desired customer company.

Apex is a Chinese manufacturer. A very popular brand in Russia, under which more than a thousand items of locks and hardware are sold. There are several dozen types of padlocks from this manufacturer. I chose several models that seemed to me the most suitable for comparison and testing.

The body of the lock model PD 01-63 is made of cast iron, the shackle of the lock is steel without heat treatment, for some reason it has the inscription "security". Some Chinese, in order to deceive the consumer and more successful sales, put the inscription “Hardened” on the “raw” bow - like “tempered”. In fact, no one will heat it at such a price. The mechanism of the lock is the most primitive, of the English type. Fixation of the bow in the body is carried out in one place. The cost of a lock of such a model depends on the popularity of a particular Chinese brand and on the dimensions, and varies from 80 to 200 rubles apiece.

3) The next sample is from the same manufacturer of model PDR-50-70-L.

The body of the lock is cast iron, the shackle is steel, not heat-treated. The lock is positioned as moisture resistant, has a rubberized elongated shackle and a plastic case cover. The secrecy mechanism is primitive English. The retail price in the store is about 260 rubles.

I draw your attention, the shackle has two triangular cutouts at the base of the case, which indicate two fixing elements, in fact, fixation occurs in one place.

4) APECS padlock model PDB-Mastif-55

The lock is interesting in that the shackle is covered by the case, and the secrecy mechanism is already disc-shaped, more complex and wear-resistant.

The body of the lock is brass, the shackle has the inscription "Hardened" and in this case it is not a bluff - it is really red-hot (we will check below). The secrecy mechanism is disk with a convenient double-sided key. The fixation of the bow in the body is carried out by two fixing balls. Retail price - about 350 rubles.

5) Apex's product range is really huge! Among the padlocks you can find both frankly cheap consumer goods (higher under No. 2), and very attractive models.

For example like this one:

Model PDS-32-50. The lock body is steel, the shackle is hardened steel, the mechanism is disc, the shackle is fixed on both sides. A sort of "strong man" - a small heavy castle with a serious claim to high security properties. The retail price of the castle is about 460-500 rubles.

6) Padlock heavy series Cheboksary aggregate plant model BC 2-21

Personally, I have such a lock hanging on my garage for more than six years, which cannot but rejoice. I wanted to check its resistance to vandal types of autopsy.

It does not look as pretty as the Chinese hinge, but it is quite menacing and at the same time has good characteristics.

Body - steel, shackle - hardened steel. The secrecy mechanism is disk, the fixation of the bow is carried out in one place. The retail price of the castle is about 550-600 rubles.

7) The following sample for testing was kindly provided by Top-Lock.

OnGuard padlock (pronounced "OnGuard") model 849

Locks Chinese made, a relatively new brand in Russia. Top-Lock representatives promise good quality and high protective characteristics, and convince that the locks of this brand are made for sale in the States, where a low-quality product would simply not be allowed to enter the market.

The description of this lock model in the catalog contains fantastic epithets and characteristics characteristic of a Chinese product. For example, the body of this lock according to the catalog is “made of ultra-hardened steel” and the shackle is “with the addition of titanium”. I highly doubt both statements. Although when testing for hacking, the lock showed itself very well, but first things first…

So, the steel body of the lock, heat-treated shackle, half closed by the body. Fixation of the bow in the case is 2-point, as the catalog says, and this is not a bluff. The lock has a primitive secrecy mechanism with an English key - this is a big minus for a "burglary-resistant" series of locks. But the Top-Lock company stated that these are trial models for Russian market and that all subsequent imported padlocks will have an improved secrecy mechanism - with an euro key, pins and sliders. The retail price of the castle is about 700-800 rubles.

8) The most expensive sample for "kills" in my set is an Austrian the padlock by EVVA

The case, to my surprise, is brass. The shackle is heat-treated, fixing in the body is carried out in two places. EPS model secrecy mechanism. The retail price of the lock is 3150 rubles.

9) Well, the last sample is a lock of the German company ABUS with a code dialing type of mechanism.

castle moderately high price. The model was liked by the fact that not only the shackle is made of hardened steel, but also the case itself. In this regard, with not the largest dimensions, the lock is very heavy.

So, the padlock of the German Abus model 190/60.

Body and shackle - hardened steel, shackle fixation - two-point. The secrecy mechanism is a code dialer with a replaceable code. The retail price of the castle is a little less than 2400 rubles.

As you can see, samples of locks of different price categories and manufacturers were selected, with different materials locking shackle and body, with different secrecy mechanisms.

Task: using an affordable tool and dimensions, rip, destroy, knock down the lock from the eyes (presumably a garage) in the minimum possible time.

I emphasize that the success of the opening directly depends on the time and tool. With unlimited time for burglary, the garage can be dismantled brick by brick without touching the locks on which it is closed. With conditionally unlimited possibilities, the garage door can be torn out by a tractor or a heavy truck without touching the locking devices. But our goal is to find out if padlocks are able to protect against common types of breaking (perhaps spontaneous?), And how this ability depends on certain characteristics.

Why focus on the price and dimensions of the tool? To cut the locks, you can use, for example, some kind of portable cutting torch. But its cost is quite high and not available to every lover of easy and quick money.

Can be used professional tool huge sizes, which will surely be able to eat a lot. For example, when last year I used scissors with a shoulder length of 1.2 m, weighing 18 kg and costing 3,000 rubles.

Such a tool is hardly available to a drug addict. Yes, and it is extremely inconvenient to use it, go drag it to the right place of hacking ... But a smaller and cheaper bolt cutter can be very relevant, we'll check it out.

Therefore, for the test, the following set was bought:

]

Hacksaw for sawing what will be sawn.

A chisel and a kilogram sledgehammer, with which we will knock down samples.

Crowbar nail puller 700 mm long.

And a bolt cutter with a shoulder length of 600 mm.

The whole tool is inexpensive (bolt cutter - about 500 rubles, everything else is a penny), compact enough to be carried and theoretically can be used by any "radish" to break a padlock on someone else's garage.

In order to imitate garage eyes, I asked the guys from the door production to weld a stand-frame. Thank you for your help and made drawings for production. According to them, the frame was made.

]

The ear for hanging locks was made of three plates, with a total thickness of 10 mm. Such a margin of safety is necessary so that the eyes do not become a weak link during a break-in.

That is, for testing, we tried to create a situation as close as possible to the real conditions of hacking. Get the most objective indicators, and therefore, in the end, draw the most relevant conclusions.

How successful it all is is up to you.

A bunch of padlocks before the "execution".

Choice metal locks— is not an easy task.

To reliably protect your home from intruders, you need to competently approach the choice of a lock. The point is that the level of reliability different models is significantly different. Therefore, we suggest that you find out which mechanisms are the most reliable, and how to choose the best model.

First of all, we note that there are no ideal constructions; any one can be opened. But, for the opening of some models, experienced "safecrackers" need less than a minute of time, and on others they have to work for at least half an hour or even more, which significantly reduces the likelihood of break-in (see Breaking the door and counteracting it).

Any item can be opened.

To do right and conscious choice in favor of the most reliable model, you need to find out what kind of door locks are.

So, all existing mechanisms can be classified according to two criteria:

  1. installation method;
  2. Type of secret (locking mechanism).

Installation method

By location on the door leaf, the mechanisms are divided into the following types:

Illustration Description

Mounted - usually used on outbuildings, such as sheds, utility rooms, garages, etc.

Mortise - as you might guess, these products crash into the door leaf. Accordingly, for their installation in the door there must be a special pocket.

Overhead - installed on the door with inside and do not require cutting. As a rule, such locks can be closed from the inside with a latch or a rotary turntable.

Note! In terms of reliability, there is no difference between overhead and mortise models. Therefore, the choice depends on the features of the door and your individual preferences.

Keyed masks with one-sided notch are not reliable, this is evidenced by the reliability rating

Secret type

There are quite a few various options secrets.

The most common are the following:

  • Cylinder- these models have interchangeable locking mechanism, which is called the face. Thanks to this, in case of failure of the mechanism or loss of keys, it is not necessary to change the entire lock.

It is better to put the masks under the perforated keys are the most reliable

The reliability of the mechanism depends on the type of mask, i.e. from the secret. The most reliable are the masks for perforated keys (with laser sharpening). After them, in terms of reliability, there are mechanisms for cruciform keys and elements with a two-way secret.

An ordinary lock with a one-sided notch, as a rule, is opened by experienced robbers within two to three minutes;

  • Lever These models are quite reliable. In terms of hacking complexity, they often surpass cylinder counterparts. However, it should be borne in mind that reliability largely depends on the quality of the product, and not just the principle of its design. If, for example, the well is wide, then it is quite easy for an attacker to open such a lock.

Keyhole

As a rule, lever models are designed for insertion into door leaf. Among the shortcomings, one can single out that the key is usually larger than for a cylinder lock, so it is inconvenient to carry it in your pocket;

  • Disc (crescent)- products with such a secret are resistant to low temperatures and others negative impacts. Therefore, they are often installed on gates and other exterior doors.

As for protection against hacking, according to statistics, they are recent times became the most exposed. Therefore, it makes sense to install them on the front door only as an addition to the main lock - a cylinder or, for example, a lever lock.

The biometric mechanism is the most reliable among iron products

Important: currently considered the most reliable biometric locks that are capable of recognizing fingerprints. They are also the most convenient, since you do not need to carry keys with you. However, the cost of such products starts from 500 USD, so not everyone can afford them.

Nuances of choice

We examined the most common door locks - what are the secrets you now also know. But what is the best castle to buy? First of all, keep in mind that the reliability of the lock depends not only on the principle of its construction, but also on the quality of workmanship.

As a rule, sellers divide all existing locks into the following categories:

  • “A budget option for which there is no guarantee” - these are usually low-quality Chinese products, many of their parts are made of silumin and other cheap alloys. Of course, it is better to refuse their acquisition;
  • “Affordable and quite good” - such locks include products of domestic, Turkish and Chinese production. They can be conditionally attributed to the middle class, respectively, these products are most popular;

  • "Expensive and reliable" - this class includes products of Finnish, German, Israeli and Italian manufacturers. They are made from durable materials, as a result of which they are not easy to open;

English manufacturers are considered reliable

  • “The most expensive and most reliable” - these models are produced by English and Austrian companies, which have been famous for the quality of their locks for many years. The price of such products starts from 10,000-12,000 rubles. And if you add to them additional elements such as armor plates, magnetic protection, etc., the cost will increase significantly.

Note! Cylinder locks should preferably be installed with additional protection- armor plate, which prevents the possibility of drilling. In this case, the locking knot becomes more reliable.

Armor plate improves reliability

It follows that quality, as always, costs money. But, most of our fellow citizens are interested in how to choose door lock from the low-cost segment, which is the most difficult task. As we found out, in most cases you can trust domestic and Turkish manufacturers.

But, of course, it is necessary to pay attention to the castle itself, namely, the following points:

  • Build quality - take the product with your own hands and carefully inspect. The lock should not cause a feeling of fragility. It should be heavy enough and well-assembled. Movable mechanisms should not have large backlashes;

  • The quality of the locking mechanism - the key should enter the mask quite gently, but at the same time it should not hang out and fall out of it. During the turn, no "jamming" and "biting" should occur;

  • The material of the mask - it is desirable that the locking mechanism be steel, as brass is easily drilled. True, sometimes manufacturers specifically insert carbide rods, which complicates the task for attackers.

No mechanism will save a low-quality door from burglary

Here, in fact, is the whole basic instruction for choosing a lock. And finally - do not forget that the locks must match the quality of the door.

For example, it makes no sense to put a premium-class lock on a cheap Chinese design, since any more or less experienced “burglar” will not even try to open it, but simply hack it.

To reliably protect the door from burglary, install two different types of mechanisms

Tip: it is advisable to install a pair of locks on the door with different locking devices. This will make her more unapproachable.

Conclusion

Now you know which door lock is the most reliable, and how to choose the right lock in general. Finally, watch another video in this article.

If you need to secure a garage or other premises, you need to use only reliable locks. Otherwise, intruders can easily enter the protected premises and rob it or perform other actions that the owner will not like much. To make a worthy purchase, you need to know how to choose a padlock, otherwise there is a risk of wasting your own money - to purchase a product whose usefulness will be low.

How to choose the right locks

Of course the most The best way to protect the door is to position it so that it is visible and any suspicious activity attracts the attention of others. So you can minimize attempts to break the lock.

One of best advice- is to purchase a lock with a lock for a garage, or other premises. Then, in case of unsuccessful hacking, the lock will be blocked and the attackers will not be able to open it.

The best locks, in addition to such a lock, are also equipped with an electronic signal that will attract the attention of others, and even if the thief is not caught on the spot, he will have to leave without achieving anything.

The main thing - you should not save on the purchase of such a device as a lock - the front door can only be protected with its help. Also, you should not buy models from little-known manufacturers, or the cheapest options - it will not be difficult to open them even for amateurs, not to mention professionals, for whom such a lock will be a matter of seconds, a minute in the worst case.

How to choose the right lock

It is best to approach the choice of a castle in stages. In particular:

  • It should be determined for what purposes (doors) the lock is needed. And depending on this, you need to select the type of lock;
  • You should choose a model that is certified - otherwise, you can only guess about the quality and level of security of the door on which the lock will hang;
  • For the front door of the garage, it is worth purchasing a lock that is not only certified, but also offered with a manufacturer's warranty - this is additional proof of its reliability;

  • It should be borne in mind that even the most complex lock, the best of which is not on the shop window, can be opened quite banally - by mechanically damaging it. Therefore, you need to choose a model that is strong and reliable, which cannot be torn off with ordinary scrap;

At the same time expensive castles best models, which are certified, offer complete protection important parts mechanism. In other words - drilling, blows and other types of damage will not bring any benefit to the burglar - it will not be possible to open the lock.

Of course, it does not make sense to purchase exclusively expensive locks for every garage door. Sometimes there are enough models of average price category or even cheap ones. A huge assortment on the market will allow each buyer to choose a device for the price, as well as for the level of protection offered.

The main thing is to fully check the device, its mechanism and performance upon direct purchase. Marriage can occur even in expensive models.

What to look for when buying

If you are going to buy a lock for the front door of the garage, you should also pay attention to such factors:

  • If the key is not inserted into the keyhole, the user needs to carry out some additional manipulations, or there is a need to use force - it is better to refrain from buying and purchase another device;
  • There is a certain rating of castles. Almost on any form you can find a similar rating - it also includes reviews of former or current owners. It is thanks to him that you can decide on a purchase;
  • Regardless of what the rating advises, it is worth buying a lock into which you can insert a key without any problems. It is better if you can do this even in complete darkness. In addition, the user does not have to find out which side to insert the key each time before opening the lock;

  • It is worth remembering that locking mechanism, which will block the front door of the garage, can be used by many family members, and not just the immediate owner. Therefore, closing or opening the lock should be incredibly simple - without any additional manipulation (turning in reverse side, deeper advancement of the key in the lock, etc.);
  • The key to the lock itself should not be large or pointed, otherwise it will damage the user's clothes, or even get injured. The key to the lock should be unique, but no more than that, first of all, it should be convenient and practical.

If the lock meets all these criteria, you can safely purchase it.

What are the castles

No matter how thick metal doors you can still open them. The only way to protect them is to hang a padlock. Today, many manufacturers offer their products, but it is worth choosing a purchase not only by the manufacturer, but also by the type of castle itself.

First of all, you should pay attention to the shackle of the lock, as well as to the metal from which it is made. There are many types of metal temples - it is worth purchasing only those on which the alloy and its quality are indicated.

In some models, the shackle can be completely hidden, making it difficult to open such a lock.

In addition, many people acquire special protection for the lock on the front door of the garage - a case that protects both the lock and the shackle. Similar metal cases can be found on the market in in large numbers and choose the most convenient for a particular case.

The best option for purchasing would be a lock made of durable metal, the shackle of which is made of hardened steel. Such locks will be difficult to break, even if the intruders have plenty of time for ethereal attempts (for example, all night, if an attempt to open the garage is made in a garage cooperative where there is no night guard).

Also, do not trust the purchase of the castle to strangers and even relatives. It is worth doing it yourself - make sure the quality and reliability of the purchase.

As for determining the type, there are cylinder-type locks on the market, disk, pump-action and lever-free. All of them perfectly perform their function and differ in the principles of work, different levels protection offered and cost.

Combination locks

There is another option for padlocks - combination. The rating of the most reliable locks includes these models.

They differ in that they do not need keys at all. The user only needs to set the combination, remember it, after which the lock can be hung on the front door of the garage.

To unlock, you will need to enter the combination again, after which the lock will be unlocked.

However, it is worth remembering that in case of loss of keys for ordinary metal locks, you can always take a double and unlock the doors with it, then if the user forgets the combination from the code, the doors can only be opened with the help of a specialist and for the corresponding fee to the latter.

But if you hang code lock on the front door, use such a lock even on metal safes - you can safely expect that it will not be possible to open them, all the contents will remain in place.

It is also worth considering that in the case of buying a padlock, the door can only be locked on one side - the outside. If you plan to lock from the inside, you should take care of this issue in advance - for example, make a valve inside the room, with which it will be possible to close metal entrance doors garage from the inside.

The widespread use of padlocks is primarily due to their easier installation, because in some cases this does not require any additional effort. For example, a gate made of metal rods can be easily closed with a padlock, the shackle of which can cover two rods from different halves. There is no need to even weld the eyelets into which the lock is usually inserted, not to mention the more complex tie-in. That is why almost every inhabitant of our country faces the choice of a padlock sooner or later.

The main function of any lock is reliable protection entrusted object, the value of which depends on the choice of a padlock. If it is enough to demonstrate that the door has an owner, then you can limit yourself to the simplest and most inexpensive lock. But in the case when the door really needs to be protected from unauthorized entry, it is better to take into account all the possibilities of the alleged burglars and install secure lock 3rd or 4th grade. So, we go for a new padlock.

What do we pay attention to first of all

The first thing you should pay attention to is the size of the castle. Regardless of the degree of its complexity, it must correspond to the protected object. No one will hang a barn lock on mailbox or try to close the garage door with a small padlock.

Having chosen a door lock of the appropriate dimensions, you should pay attention to its shackle, because it is this part of the padlock that is the most vulnerable on the one hand, and on the other hand, the possibility of installing a lock on a particular door depends on it. The dimensions of the shackle must match the eyelets into which the lock will be inserted. If they are powerful, then it is best to pay attention to locks with long and thick arms.

The burglary resistance of a padlock often depends on the quality of the shackles, because criminals use simple tools- crowbar, mount, hydraulic cutters. Hardened steel will be able to resist them, it will be possible to open such a padlock only with the help of a powerful power tool, the noise from which will be heard far in the area. If you do not trust hardened steel, then purchase a padlock with a locking finger, the body of which reliably protects not only this kind of shackle, but also the brackets.

The material from which the padlock is made

When choosing a padlock to place it outdoors, you should pay attention to the materials from which it is made. The following locks are most resistant to corrosion:

Made of brass and other copper alloys;

From aluminum and alloys from this metal;

Stainless steel;

From cast iron.

When choosing a stainless steel lock, it is worth considering that the strength of the materials used is different. Brass and aluminum locks are quite soft, which will allow intruders to easily get rid of them. Such locks are better to buy for objects that do not have much value.

Which lock has a secure mechanism

It is unlikely that any of the buyers will want his lock to be opened with a paper clip. Therefore, if there is such a danger that intruders will be interested in the protected object, then it is best to purchase a padlock with a disk mechanism or a combination lock. It should be taken into account that complex locks are opened by drilling the lock mechanism. This means that preference should be given to models whose mechanism is protected from drilling by special rotating stainless steel discs.

Motorists with experience will surely find at least one familiar piece of iron among the defendants in this test. Because a padlock is the first line of defense for any garage. But is it reliable? In search of an answer, we bought twenty padlocks and tried to break them.

With The most common padlocks are with a deadbolt shackle resembling the letter U. They differ from each other in size, material (steel, cast iron, non-ferrous alloys), type of secrecy mechanism (colloquially - larva), key shape, and their main advantage is that any door or gate with suitable lugs can be locked with such locks. There are also padlocks with a direct bolt (when locked, it is located inside the case) and, of course, various design variations on these topics.

Everyone knows from films that a locked door can be opened without a key, and the classic thieves' crowbar, through the efforts of filmmakers, has become almost the main accessory of burglars. For our work, we also chose a simple, affordable, lightweight and compact tool: screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches and pry bars. From mechanization, two hand-held bolt cutters 350 and 600 mm long (we subjected them to light criminal tuning) and a quiet battery-powered electric drill were used. We decided not to use professional master keys and special equipment in this test. From the point of view of metallurgy and strength of materials, such an approach may seem inefficient, but we know for sure (and by no means from films) that the rippers of garage boxes do not use squealing grinders and alarm sledgehammers in their work, but a quiet or completely silent tool - even if you mess with they will take five minutes longer. Because they don't want to wake the watchmen and draw attention to themselves.

Thick-walled segment metal pipe with door, welded on the sash garage doors, performs the function of a protector and significantly complicates (or eliminates altogether) the destruction of a padlock by any tool. The size of the window must be chosen such that it is possible to freely manipulate the key, but the lock itself must stand inside with a minimum gap and in such a way as to impede the access of any tool and exclude the impact on the secrecy mechanism from the outside. Compliance with these rules increases the burglary resistance of the structure several times.

They open locks with a primitive secret part with the simplest master keys, bite technologically poor constructions with bolt cutters, and turn weak larvae with a knob or pull them out with self-tapping screws - such techniques have been known since the time of Tsar Pea. well and cordless drill, wrapped in a quilted jacket, is able to quietly and accurately drill out almost any protection or fasteners. So. We believe that if a lock is opened or broken in a couple of minutes by such methods, then it cannot be hung on a garage or any other important premises.

Our impressions and test results are transcribed in the photo captions, and these results allow us to divide the test participants into three groups.

Chinese locks (samples No. 1, 5, 11 and 12), products made in the same place under some Russian brands (Nos. 4, 6, 8, 9 and 10) and vintage retro-crafts (Nos. 2, 7 and 18) we dismiss unconditionally: their manufacturers, it seems, did not bother themselves with the choice of materials and assembly technologies at all. There are also frank constructive "holes". Such locks can only protect the garage from the unlucky offspring who decided to take his friends for a drive in his father's car.

One of the most interesting and effective solutions to protect the garage is the so-called castle hatch: a mortise door made of thick metal with an overhead lock installed on it. The dimensions of the "burrow" are chosen in such a way that through the hatch you can stick your hand inside the garage and blindly open the lock located on the inside of the gate with a key. Due to difficult access, it automatically turns into a burglary, because it is impossible to get close to it with master keys or any tool. The second plus of the design is the absence of external protruding elements that can be hooked on to pull the gate out. Well, the protection of the internal lock from atmospheric influences also turns out to be excellent!

The second group (No. 3, 14, 16, 19 and 20) are locks "with reservations". They are suitable for utility utility rooms and garage gates - provided that the GSK watchman is not drunk and regularly bypasses the territory. We are forced to admit that the popular products of the Cheboksary Aggregate Plant (CHAZ padlocks are market bestsellers) fall into this category and, alas, do not deserve a higher rating.
