In addition to the pipes, I also used a stainless steel plate (this will be the bottom of the smoke generator), a metal cover for a 100*100 post (these are sold in hardware stores - this will be the cover), a threaded tube with a diameter of 10 mm from an old Chinese chandelier, an 8 mm fitting and a plug 1/ 2″.

So, we make a smoke generator for smoking with our own hands. In the profile pipe at the bottom, about 2 cm from the edge, I cut two slits with a grinder along the entire length on one side and on the opposite.

The bottom of the smoke generator, which I cut from stainless steel, will be inserted into these slots. I decided to make this bottom removable so that after smoking I could easily remove the burnt wood chips. The plate goes into one hole and comes out the other side, forming the bottom.

You can weld a plug to the bottom of the plate, but then it will be inconvenient to remove the coals.
