Purpose of polishing a log house

1 There is a whole range of tasks that can be solved by polishing a wooden house. First of all, it is an important condition for high-quality painting, as it allows you to smooth the surface of the log, removing all the roughness and dust that appeared during shrinkage. As a result of high-quality polishing of the log house, the paint will lay down more evenly, it will better protect the surface of the log, and most importantly, it will simply look much neater and more attractive. In addition, this stage is necessary to remove the darkened layer of wood in order to restore its natural color and expressiveness. Thus, it is possible to significantly improve the appearance of the walls of the log house.

2 Also, sanding the log house with fine sandpaper will be needed as a preparatory step before applying varnish. Bleached logs are processed in this way. It should be noted right away that, given the need for a high result and the quality of the prepared surface, you should not refuse the offers of professional craftsmen. Moreover, the price of polishing a log house is quite acceptable.

3 One of the key factors causing the need for sanding a log house is wood damage by fungi. Unfortunately, the spores of the fungus that causes wood bluing are spread by the bark beetle and penetrate the material while still in the forest, at the stage of its growth. As a result, the wood is painted in an unpleasant, sickly color even before deforestation. In addition, non-compliance with drying technologies, improper storage of logs, high humidity, etc. can lead to mold infestation of the wood, which will appear as spots of various sizes and colors. Fortunately, these fungi in no way affect the strength characteristics of the material and only spoil its appearance.

  • The main thing is that this problem is easily solved: in order to get rid of the infection and the unattractive color of the wood, the logs must first be dried.
  • After installation, the obligatory polishing of the log house is carried out, which removes the affected layers of wood and returns the material to its original beauty.
  • Within 2-3 days after this procedure, the polished surface is treated with antiseptics and other broad-spectrum chemical compounds, which will avoid relapse.
  • It is worth remembering that before grinding a wooden house and applying the composition, it is necessary to wait for the log moisture to decrease to a level of less than 20%.

Issue price

The price of polishing a log house is quite affordable: for professionals it starts from 250 rubles per square meter in the case of the first stage of processing. For the second stage, you will have to pay almost half as much for the same area.

Processing technique

  • The tool for grinding a log house represents several options for grinding machines and special wheels for them with varying degrees of graininess. Depending on the area of work and the desired result, different equipment is used.
  • So the facade can be processed with an angle grinder (angle grinder) with a petal wheel, the grain size of which is at the level of P60. We can say that this is the minimum required for polishing a wooden house. As a result, slightly noticeable marks remain, which can be removed with more careful processing. To do this, the second stage is carried out using an eccentric grinder and a circle with P80 grain.
  • Indoors, processing is carried out using the same “grinder” and P80 equipment. So the log acquires a monophonic surface, and in addition, irregularities are removed. For further painting and varnishing, it is already recommended to grind the log house with an orbital machine and an emery wheel P120.
  • It should be noted that polishing gives the best visual effect and a smooth surface. This stage is carried out with an eccentric machine and circles with a grain size of 180-240 units.
  • Grinding a wooden house is a whole science, and therefore it is possible to perform this kind of processing with high quality only with a high level of qualification. To do this, we offer the services of Vityaz-Stroy, because we have not only all the necessary equipment, but also craftsmen who have polished more than one kilometer of logs!

Grinding a log house is a recommended process rather than a necessary one. However, it is after such processing that the structure acquires an aesthetic appearance and is considered protected from negative factors. Following the step-by-step instructions, you can grind the log cabin of the bath with your own hands.

Choosing a tool for polishing a bath

To begin with, it is important to choose the right grinding tool. Often, a grinder with a special nozzle or a special grinder is used to carry out such a procedure. A lightweight model with a comfortable handle, smooth speed control and rear air intake is optimally suited. It is more convenient to work with two machines: one with a large abrasive, the second with a fine abrasive.

As for the abrasive nozzles, it is preferable to choose plastic ones. They, unlike rubber ones, do not leave black marks on the tree in case of accidental contact. Remember that changing attachments frequently and using the same tool can cause it to overheat.

Initial grinding is carried out with discs with a grain of 40-60. It is enough for about 4 meters of log processing. If the log house is made of coniferous wood, then it will be salted with tar and dust. This will lead to a decrease in performance, which means it will reduce the quality of work and increase the load on the tool. Therefore, it is not worth saving on abrasives. Secondary processing is carried out with a disk with a grain size of 100-120.

Please note that an eccentric sander must be used to grind rounded logs. The grinder is suitable for processing timber. It has a high power, and therefore it is possible to damage the wood with intense pressure. The grinder blocks the disc with strong pressure.

Preparation for polishing the bath

Grinding a log house is recommended after its main shrinkage, before caulking. It is worth doing the work before the windows are installed, as a large amount of dust will settle on the fittings and window accessories.

Working with raw wood is very difficult. However, if the bath is assembled from dried logs or beams, then processing can be carried out immediately after installing the roof. This process is time consuming and requires a lot of effort.

Before grinding the logs of the bath, we inspect the surface for defects. When peeling some elements (the so-called "petals"), carefully lubricate them with glue and leave for a day until completely dry.

External polishing of the log cabin of the bath

Before starting work, be sure to protect your eyes and respiratory tract from dust. To do this, stock up on glasses and a respirator. If there is no grinding experience, it is recommended to initially “fill your hand” in inconspicuous areas.

The procedure for grinding the bath from the outside

It is best to start grinding from the bottom up. We perform the procedure in the following sequence:
  • We grind the log surface with a grinder with a large abrasive (eccentric machine).
  • We process the grooves with a grinder with a smaller nozzle (the tool is used regardless of the type of bars). In this case, the disk must be chosen 1-1.5 cm larger than the nozzle. Otherwise, the angle grinder will jam in the groove and may break out of your hands, which will cause injury.
  • Using a chisel, remove the top layer in the corners. If desired, this procedure can be carried out at the initial stage.
  • We grind the ends only with a large abrasive (30-40). To reduce the pile on the surface, beat it with a hammer or burn it with a soldering iron.
  • Repeat the procedure on each wall.
  • Thoroughly dust the surface before further finishing. To do this, you can use a vacuum cleaner and brushes.

Please note that it is not advisable to use the tool at too high speeds. Otherwise, deep marks will remain on the wood.

Finishing the bath from the outside

To give an aesthetic appearance and protection from the negative effects of precipitation, fungus, it is necessary to pay attention to additional processing of logs. Each wall must be coated with compounds immediately after grinding. Otherwise, it will darken within a day, and all the work will be in vain.

When finishing, we adhere to the following instructions:

  1. Apply a layer of primer. The procedure can be carried out using an electric spray gun or a brush.
  2. If desired, paint or bleach the surface to emphasize the shade of the wood structure.
  3. We process the frame with flame retardants.

It is better to choose a paint and varnish for finishing on the basis of a chemical solvent. Their water-based counterparts lead to pile rise after the first painting. Particular attention should be paid to the ends of the bath - because of the rough surface, they absorb compositions in large quantities.

Internal polishing of the walls of the bath

If the interior lining of the log house is planned, then it is possible to grind the bath inside only with a large abrasive. If the walls will not be sheathed with anything, then it is necessary to sand them to perfect smoothness.

Primary grinding of the walls is best done before the “finishing floors” are laid and the ceiling is blocked. We carry out the work in the following sequence:
  • We remove the rough layer of bark with a grinder with a large abrasive or grinder.
  • We process groove and corner sections with the help of a grinder.
  • We carry out grinding with fine abrasive material (120).
  • The joints of logs and the most inaccessible places are sanded by hand. To do this, the abrasive material can be wound on a bar. This is a rather laborious, but the most effective process.

Upon completion of work on one wall, it is necessary to sweep the dust, vacuum the surface thoroughly and cover with an antiseptic. The same process must be repeated after complete grinding.

Finishing the bath inside

When starting to apply antiseptics, make sure that there are no caulks. Otherwise, they can be closed with sealants. Finishing is carried out in the following order:
  1. We apply a layer of antiseptic composition to protect against fungus and mold.
  2. After complete drying, we process with a glazing solution to give the room a more aesthetic appearance.
  3. We process the ends with an acrylic moisture-resistant solution. Let dry and apply another layer.
  4. We cover the surface with a flame retardant to increase the fire-resistant characteristics.

Profiled and glued beams usually do not need additional alignment. It can be sanded with an eccentric machine if it is necessary to remove the top darkened layer. Such a process will take more time than processing with a grinder, but the result in this case is of high quality.

Abrasive jet grinding of the log cabin of the bath

Recently, abrasive blasting has gained popularity. Its essence lies in the use of a special apparatus from which sand comes out under pressure. This is a non-contact grinding method. Thus, it is possible to clean the surface of the tree from dirt, paint, burning and give it impeccable smoothness.

Grinding with this tool is easy and fast, and the quality is the highest. Due to the brushing effect created on the wood, an original pattern is obtained, emphasizing the naturalness and sophistication of the material. This treatment looks exclusive and expensive. Such grinding is carried out, as a rule, by specialists with special equipment.

And finally, we present to your attention a video about polishing the log cabin of the bath:

Grinding the walls of the bath is carried out not only at the end of the construction of the structure. It is also performed to refresh the look of an old log house. This process is labor intensive and time consuming. However, subject to the rules, it is possible for everyone to polish the logs of the steam room with high quality.

Despite the variety of modern building materials, wooden buildings do not lose their popularity. A log house is a wooden structure made of several crowns of timber or logs, which are fastened together in the form of a quadrangle without a roof and flooring. Gorodnya, tumbler, quadruple, five-wall, six, octagon, “in the oblo”, “in the bowl”, “in the paw”, “in the dovetail” - what kind of log cabins are there! This is a kind of blank, the frame of your future wooden house. In Russia, craftsmen managed to make log cabins, connecting logs together without a single nail.

When the house is "assembled", you can proceed to one of the most important stages of finishing - grinding. Logs with the remains of bark, from which the log house is assembled, look unattractive, besides, they are subject to decay and the influence of bark beetles.

Why sanding?

  • Protect wood from microorganisms, mold.
  • Make the surface smooth for better adhesion (fastening layers of paintwork materials), eliminate cracks.
  • Give the wood an aesthetic appearance, emphasizing the texture of the material.
  • Prevent premature aging of wood.

What is the grinding of a log house

The tool for polishing a log house should have sufficient power, but at the same time not be heavy. The optimal solution is a parquet-sanding belt machine with built-in bags for collecting sawdust and dust. Unfortunately, if the house is assembled from a semicircular log, such an apparatus will not cope with grinding. When processing grooves and end sections to help the owner - an angle grinder, popularly known as a grinder. Grinding is carried out using nozzles of different grain sizes. Fine abrasive and coarse grinding wheels are used alternately to obtain a perfectly flat surface.

Stages of polishing a log house:

  • Rough peeling of the bark.
  • Medium processing - smoothing wood with a coarse abrasive with a grain diameter of 40 and above.
  • Delicate processing using a fine-grained nozzle (80-100).
  • Finishing sanding before applying paints and varnishes.

When is the best time to sand a log?

Before choosing a tool, you need to decide on the time of grinding work. Grinding precedes all other finishing work: it is carried out before applying antiseptics, flame retardants, impregnations and paints and varnishes.

According to the rules, it is made a year after the construction of the structure. During this time, the process of shrinkage occurs - a natural decrease in the volume of the log due to the drying of the wood and the achievement of a moisture balance between the wood fibers and the environment. During the year, under the influence of atmospheric phenomena, the log house darkens, and grinding is a necessary stage in its processing before further finishing.

Grinding work on the log house is carried out only after the wood has completely dried. Wet wood will not allow sanding to make the surface perfectly smooth: the fibers will rise and be torn off unevenly by the machine.

It is better to grind a log house in warm, dry weather. The optimal time is the end of spring and summer. The abundance of sunlight and high temperature with minimal humidity help the logs to dry out before sanding. If the time has come for prolonged rains, and the log house has not been polished, and, of course, it has no opportunity to dry, it is worth covering the logs with polyethylene or other covering films (for example, roofing felt) and wait until the dry weather settles. As we wrote above, moisture interferes with the operation of the grinder, the fibers swell and rise. Hired workers can insist on working at any time of the year and in any weather, as they are driven by the time limit. However, remember: after grinding, they will leave, and you will live in the house and admire the consequences of grinding. True professionals will definitely warn you about the disadvantages of sanding in wet weather and will not start the process even to the detriment of their time.

Interestingly, the optimal time for assembling a log house is winter, and grinding work is recommended to be carried out a year after construction - it turns out that also in winter. But above we wrote that the most successful time is the summer period. In addition, after grinding, it is necessary to treat the surface with antiseptics, which work only at positive temperatures. So what if there is no opportunity to postpone grinding until warmer times?

Grinding a log house in winter

In winter, the moisture concentrated in the upper layers freezes, forming an ice crust. Ice does not allow deep antiseptic, which is applied after grinding. Therefore, all protective impregnations lose their effectiveness. In addition, wood fibers expand, deform and form cracks. On the other hand, in winter, all natural processes slow down, mold and fungus cease to pose a particular danger to wood, so antiseptic treatment can be postponed until spring. But there is another problem: a polished frame without applying protective impregnations, even with a weak, but still significant effect of UV rays, may turn yellow, which will lead to the need for re-grinding the frame in the spring.

So, if there is no way out and you have to start grinding in the winter, you should follow a special technology. It is extremely difficult to polish a log house on your own in winter, moreover, even the most savvy amateur is not immune from mistakes that will eventually bring all the work to naught. It is better to entrust winter grinding to specialists.

At negative temperatures, grinding in the open air is prohibited, therefore, a kind of sarcophagus is being built around the building - scaffolding installed around the perimeter, covered with polyethylene or other covering material. However, the problem of the ice crust on the surface of the wood is still relevant, so hot air is blown into the sarcophagus with the help of heat guns until the desired temperature is reached. Only after these procedures is polished with professional equipment.

Concerning sanding a log house in rainy weather, it is better to avoid dampness in the process of processing wood. Wet fibers swell and rise, being unevenly cut off by a grinder. In the event of the inevitability of grinding in the rain, the same technology is followed as during winter work: the preliminary construction of a thermal sarcophagus.

Important! Do not leave a sanded surface unfinished. It is recommended to observe a time interval of no more than 48 hours between grinding and applying a primer and antiseptics, otherwise the log house will require re-treatment.

Sanding is a time-consuming and responsible process, however, ignoring it now, you will lose much more time and money in the future, trying to restore a once beautiful wooden building that has darkened due to untimely processing.

Unsanded logs tend to have bark residue and darken over time due to environmental exposure, resulting in rot and loss of appearance.

In order for the log house to serve for a long time and have a beautiful appearance, its external processing is performed, which includes grinding and coating with special compounds that prevent rotting and increase the fire resistance of the wooden structure.

Let's find out how the polishing of log cabins from rounded logs or timber is performed, and also touch on the issue of its antiseptic treatment and impregnation with fire retardants.

The cost of polishing a log house

Grinding a log house is a rather time-consuming job that requires some skills, a special tool and enough free time to complete it.

If you do not have all this, then it is better to turn to professionals who will be able to perform all the necessary operations as soon as possible. But keep in mind that their services will not be so cheap.

On average, the cost of polishing a square meter of a log house wall per pass is from 300 to 400 rubles. So you can calculate how much the labor of hired workers will cost you.

If you have the time and desire to perform the external processing of the log house yourself, then we recommend that you read the recommendations given in this article for grinding log walls with your own hands.

Logging tool

Today in stores you can find a very wide selection of a wide variety of construction tools, including those for grinding wood. But not every tool is equally well suited for this time-consuming operation.

In order for the work to be done faster, the tool must not be too heavy and have sufficient power.

The belt sanders offered for sale do a good job when sanding baths from a bar and processing any flat wooden surfaces.

Some belt sanders are equipped with a special bag for collecting wood dust, which greatly facilitates the work.

However, when sanding a log house, it becomes necessary to process the semi-circular surface of the log, for which belt sanders are not so good.

It is better to use a grinder with special grinding nozzles in the form of a grinding disc with sandpaper glued in the form of petals.

In hard-to-reach places, you can use a chisel, and do the main work with a grinder with a grinding nozzle.

The Bulgarian for performing work on grinding the log house should not be too heavy, otherwise after the first day of work your hands will literally fall off. The power of a power tool of 850 W will be quite sufficient.

Choose a tool better than well-known companies that have long established themselves in the market - Makita, Bosh, DeWalt or domestic Interskol. Buying cheap Chinese crafts is a kind of lottery. You may come across a tool that will last more than one year, or maybe one that will fall apart in two days.

Logging technology

You can start sanding the log house only after it dries thoroughly. If you try to do sanding immediately after assembly, then wet wood will bulge and you will not be able to get a beautiful smooth surface.

For grinding, you will need a supply of nozzles with different grit sizes. For the initial processing of logs with bark residues, various kinds of irregularities, you will need sandpaper with a larger grain (40), and for the finishing pass - with a fine grain (80-100).

The following is the correspondence between the numbers of imported and domestic sandpaper:

FEPA grain size

GOST grain size

Average grain size, microns

Rough processing. skinning

Medium processing. Surface smoothing, removal of small irregularities.

Fine processing. Final sanding.

Very fine workmanship. Sanding before painting.

Keep in mind that you will have to change the nozzles often, as the abrasive is erased and clogged with wood dust with resin. To slightly extend the life of one nozzle, you can clean it with a metal brush with white spirit. But the performance after such resuscitation will still be significantly lower than the original one.

The speed of sanding depends on the availability of the appropriate skill, the power of the tool and the amount of resin in the wood. On average, a linear meter of a log with a diameter of 30 cm is polished in 2 minutes /

When sanding wood, a very large amount of wood dust is released, clogging the eyes, mouth and nose. Therefore, all grinding work should be carried out using protective equipment - a respirator, goggles or a special mask.

How grinding is performed is shown in the video below (click the triangle to view):

Treatment of the log house with an antiseptic and flame retardants

After the log house is polished, it should be treated with special compounds. As a rule, these are antiseptics to protect against putrefactive phenomena, a glazing antiseptic to give the log house a beautiful appearance, and fire retardants to increase the fire resistance of wood.

First, a layer of priming antiseptic is applied, after which the composition shading the wood texture - bleach or tinting antiseptic, and lastly covered with fire retardants.

Each composition can be applied with a brush or an electric spray gun.

For a primer, you can use Tikkurila's Valtti Pohjuste antiseptic. Such an antiseptic costs 2500-3000 r for 9 liters.

Also, the domestic antiseptic Neomid 440, which penetrates deeply into the wood texture and protects the wood from biological processes, has good protection indicators.

You can emphasize the beautiful woody texture with the help of high-quality Valtti Color antiseptics from the same Tikkurila.

The consumption of a glazing antiseptic is 4-5 square meters per liter for a planed surface and up to 10 square meters per liter for sanded wood.

It is available in forty different shades. There is also a colorless one. The cost of Valtti glazing antiseptic is approximately 280 rubles per liter. As an alternative, you can choose the domestic water-based Neomid Bio Color.

All compounds dissolve well with white spirit, which should be washed with brushes or a spray gun after work on applying protective compounds to the walls of the log house.

An important step in the construction of a log house is grinding. Such work can significantly increase the life of the house, prevent the destruction and decay of wood, improve its aesthetics and attractiveness, and prepare it for finishing. Sanding improves the adhesion of wood with and, and also reduces their consumption during processing.

Why do you need to grind a log house

Grinding is a long and laborious procedure that will increase resistance to moisture and biological contamination. In addition, it will eliminate existing surface defects and improve the appearance of the structure.

Log house sanding:

  • retains the natural shade of wood even under direct sunlight;
  • cleans the surface from contamination after transportation and installation of the log house;
  • eliminates irregularities and visual surface defects;
  • thoroughly cleans the upper layers affected by mold and fungus;
  • ensures uniform distribution of protective antiseptic compositions over the entire surface;
  • improves the performance of the material;
  • reduces the consumption of paints and varnishes;
  • protects against premature aging and destruction of wood;
  • increases the resistance of the material to the effects of various negative factors.

When is polishing done?

Grinding of the log house can be carried out only after preliminary drying and. The optimal period for carrying out such a procedure is 12 months after the completion of construction work and before the start of finishing the wooden structure.

Before carrying out work on external processing, the log house must be covered, and the moisture content of the wood should not exceed 18%. In some cases, the material may change its natural shade, so pre-bleaching with special formulations will be required. Only after complete drying of the log house, you can start work.

Important! Grinding of the house is carried out before installing windows and, arranging floors and ceilings, and decorative trim.

If well-dried lumber was used to build a wooden house, then grinding can be done after construction is completed.

Preparing tools for grinding

Beginners believe that sanding the walls of a log house is a simple and affordable procedure that can be done by hand without much effort. In fact, to organize the process, it is necessary to prepare a set of special tools, obtain minimal skills in working with wood and allocate enough free time.

For the main stages of work use:

  • grinder with grinding discs in the right amount;
  • eccentric grinder;
  • belt sander;
  • chisel for wood;
  • protective flame retardant and antiseptic compounds;
  • spray gun and brushes;
  • sealant for wood;
  • decorative paints and oil-based impregnations;
  • protective equipment - goggles, mask, rubber gloves, overalls.

The main materials for the construction of a log house are timber, rounded and chopped logs.

Chopped log and timber

Grinding of logs and timber is carried out with the help of a grinder and grinding discs. Wall processing is carried out from the outside and inside, so it is recommended to choose a professional high-power tool in the range from 750 to 1100 W for work.

A chopped log can be polished qualitatively with special petal discs with different grain levels: from 35 to 60 for coarse grinding, from 75 to 100 for fine grinding.

Depending on the thickness of the layer to be removed from the log, the consumption of disks is from 2.5 to 5 meters of the length of the material. If the log is pre-rounded and the beam is profiled, the disk consumption can be significantly reduced.

For final grinding, it is better to use an abrasive disc on a special sticky basis with a grit size of 120.

rounded log

It is better to grind a semicircular log with a flat surface with an eccentric sander. Despite the low productivity, the tool is equipped with a special blocker, which allows more accurate processing of the wood surface.

The working power of the machine is 400 W at a speed of 8 to 12 thousand per minute. Expensive devices are additionally equipped with a dust collector. For coarse grinding, wheels with a grain size of 40 to 60 are used, and for fine grinding, from 80 to 100.

Grinding grooves and corners

Grooves in log cabins made of logs, glued or profiled timber can be ground with a conventional grinder with an abrasive nozzle smaller than the diameter of the disc.

To grind the corners of the log house, a chisel is used, which will allow you to quickly and accurately remove the top layer of material before or after it is stripped.

Log house grinding technology: stages of work

Do-it-yourself grinding of a profiled beam or log is carried out in several stages:

  1. Rough grinding (rough).
  2. Processing grooves and corners.
  3. End processing.
  4. Finishing sanding (fine).
  5. Decorative and impregnated.

The process of external and internal grinding of a log house requires frequent changes of working nozzles due to the formation of a large amount of wood dust. To clean the nozzles from dirt, you can use a steel brush treated with an antiseptic.

When working with wood, do not forget about the elementary safety rules, using personal protective equipment - goggles, gloves, a mask and overalls.

Grinding walls from a bar inside the house and outside is carried out in the following order:

  1. Personal protective equipment against the negative effects of wood dust is used.
  2. Grinding is carried out from top to bottom.
  3. The wall area is divided into equal sections, which will allow for better grinding.
  4. The material is checked for problem areas - old exfoliated pieces are removed, and the affected areas are cleaned of mold and fungus.
  5. A quality check is carried out, and those that appear are eliminated with wood sealant.
  6. Rough grinding of the surface is carried out using large nozzles. This will help get rid of existing bumps and roughness. When using a grinder, it is recommended to grind disc nozzles in remote areas of the log house - above window and door openings, near corners. In this way, possible sparking of the nozzle and damage to the wood can be prevented. In addition, when processing surfaces, it is better to move the tool with the shoulder joint, and not with the hands, in order to obtain the most even surface.
  7. Next, nozzles with fine grain are used to remove wood pile. The material is processed with the tool carefully at medium speed, which will help to avoid damage to the wood and the formation of grooves on the walls.
  8. The ends and grooves of the log house are subject to careful grinding, since they are more susceptible to the negative effects of external factors. For finishing the ends, you can use nozzles with a grit size from 40 to 120.
  9. Hard-to-reach places, as well as internal and external corners, are ground with a chisel with a blade width of 25 mm.
  10. The surface is cleaned of dust with a vacuum cleaner and a brush with nylon bristles.
  11. The polished walls of a log or log house are treated with antiseptic compounds to protect against fungus and mold, glazing agents - to improve wood, fire retardants - to increase resistance to burning, acrylates - to protect against the negative effects of precipitation. To prevent darkening of wood, sanded surfaces are treated with protective compounds no later than 2 days after sanding.
  12. The painting of the log house is carried out 36-72 hours after the completion of grinding and impregnation with protective compounds.

Grinding log cabins is a long and rather painstaking process, the organization of which requires high-quality equipment and minimal experience in working with wood.
