Design project of a one-room apartment of 35 sq. m. - bright beauty

Look at these photos:

Here is a finished design project for a one-room apartment of 35 squares. Agree that, despite the small footage, the room looks very spacious, and most importantly functional.

You do not have to redo the apartment in exactly the same way as indicated in the photo, but following the basic principles will not be superfluous. Let's take it step by step:

  • The layout of one-room apartments, the design of which is aimed at ergonomics, involves the expansion of space. Here the principle of destruction of superfluous walls and useless partitions operates. Take a look, all the functional areas are in the same room, and at the same time they look very organic.

  • The bathroom is combined with a bathroom. In this version, such a solution looks great. Everything you need harmoniously fits here: a toilet bowl, a stylish washbasin, and an enclosed shower cabin (quite spacious, by the way). In such a bathroom, you will not worry that everyone's personal space is infringed, on the contrary, everything is very appropriate.

  • The sleeping area is located in a niche, and this is a very good solution. Imagine, because there used to be a wall here, which means that the bedroom was so cramped and uncomfortable that it’s scary to imagine. Here's another plus of studio apartments!

  • Night lighting will make your apartment especially cozy. Just look, these 35 square meters at night turn into a fairyland where you can spend warm evenings with your family.

Design project of a one-room apartment 36 squares - cozy simplicity

This apartment, despite the small footage, looks very comfortable. Here is an option for those who are not ready to break stereotypes and interior partitions in the apartment. Catch the design project of a one-room apartment of 36 sq. m. and enjoy!

  • The walls are painted in muted lilac. This is a hint of the style of Provence, and this makes the bedroom so cozy.

  • Lots of paintings, light floral motifs and cute decor elements are placed very well. The main thing is not to overdo it, otherwise there is a risk of littering the space.

  • The kitchen is bright and functional, nothing more, as they say. This fact makes it visually more spacious. This design project is ideal for a one-room Khrushchev apartment.

  • The bathroom is light and bright. Floral motifs continue here, this is a very correct decision. Thus, the apartment looks whole, and the design seems to be completely completed.

  • Pay attention to interior doors. In order not to hide the space, it was decided to use a sliding structure - an accordion. Great idea, isn't it?

Design project of a one-room apartment 38 squares - trendy loft

This one-room apartment is made in the loft style, let's look at its design project. In this case, the designers opted for a studio apartment with a very good zoning.

The design project of a one-room apartment of 38 squares in a loft style is an excellent, modern solution. Now we will understand why it is so remarkable.

  • The hallway area is separated from the living room by a wooden wardrobe-partition. Of course, this cabinet is made to order, and opens in both directions. Very functional to say the least.

  • In this apartment, the main merit of the designers is zoning. See how, with an initially inconvenient layout, they managed to separate the living room and kitchen area. Just a well-built brick partition! You can use this advice too! Dare!

  • In the kitchen area there was even a place for a dining table! Note that the kitchen looks very nice due to the white + black color contrasts.

  • In the bathroom, the loft theme continues. Calm, woody tones look very appropriate and stylish, right?

Design project of a one-room apartment of 40 sq. m. - incredible capacity

Is it unrealistic to accommodate in a “odnushka” with two children? Wrong! Dekorin experts have prepared a design project for a one-room apartment of 40 sq. m., where this is possible!

Let's figure out how to do it!

  • Please note that the walls of the kitchen area are made in light colors. This technique, as you know, adds the effect of spaciousness and freshness to the apartment. Bright accents make the room more "juicy" and interesting.

  • The sleeping area + living room is located in a niche right next to the kitchen. At the same time, the designers did not forget about the dining table. Compact and functional, you will not say anything!

  • The children's room is furnished separately. A cozy bunk bed looks good in a contrasting, marine style. An additional sofa can also serve as a separate bed.

  • There is even a play area for kids! Look, this room has everything you need for a comfortable stay. So it’s possible to live comfortably in a “odnushka” with children, the main thing is to be sure of success!

Design projects of one-room apartments 45 sq. m. - light weightlessness

And this is a very interesting solution! See how the bedroom is placed. Admit it, this option is not similar to the design projects of one-room apartments, which were discussed earlier. These 45 sq. m. acquired a special charm, immersing us in an atmosphere of lightness and weightlessness!

  • So let's start with the bedroom. See what an interesting solution. The sleeping area is completely enclosed by glass sliding screens. So we have, literally, a room in the middle of a room!

  • The whole apartment is made in the best traditions of modern style. Light, glossy surfaces, smooth lines, contrasts in colors - all this fits perfectly into the layout.

  • The kitchen, as usual, is bright. The facade is made in a snow-white color, and the chalkboard on the kitchen apron acts as a contrast against the background of this beauty.

  • The bathroom, although combined, is quite spacious. In addition, the new, stylish plumbing fits perfectly into the environment and looks very nice.

Today, using the example of five apartments, you learned that creating functional beauty is not so difficult. A ready-made design project for a one-room apartment, compiled by professional designers, will greatly facilitate your life.

Use the advice of Dekorin, boldly dive into repair work and improve the quality of your own life!

Good luck!

It is this design of a one-room apartment that will become the topic of our review. Let's talk about how to provide for all the important nuances of planning, and what materials to use in the design. For example, we will give photos of the most successful interiors from professional designers.

A small one-room apartment can become cozy and comfortable thanks to a thoughtful design.

Modern interior ideas for a one-room apartment in 2017 and 2018

A modern interior is a set of some rules that allow you to make even a small area a model of elegance and comfort. These rules include:

  • the use of a light palette of colors with the separation of shades according to their intended purpose: the lightest - the ceiling, a little darker - the walls and the dark floor;
  • the use of reflective and mirror planes allows you to change the perception of space, visually adding non-existent square meters;
  • placement in small-sized premises of a simple form with transformation mechanisms;
  • reasonable use of accessories, exclusion of floor decorative elements;
  • a thoughtful approach to placement, a combination of natural artificial lighting.

How to start a design project for a one-room apartment

The design of a 1-room apartment is not just a well-thought-out interior of a living space. The project should include all rooms:, toilet, kitchen and. Given that the apartment is small, it should be perceived as a whole. It’s bad form if your corridor is made in Japanese style, the room is Provence, and minimalism reigns in the kitchen.

The first thing to think about when drafting a project is how to make the most of every square meter. Perhaps, for practicality, redevelopment should be considered, for example,. This common option will turn a small apartment into a studio and add usable living room space. This association will not interfere with the kitchen, especially the small Khrushchev kitchen. Another good option is to combine a room with. The design of a one-room apartment in this case must be coordinated with the services supervising the construction.

Important! When redevelopment, load-bearing walls should not be affected. Before starting work, carefully study the plan of the apartment and consult with BTI specialists.

If you are not confident in your abilities, contact the professionals and order a project from them. You will not only be offered several options, but will also be shown visual 3D models that will allow you to visually present the result.

Advice! If you replace traditional doors with sliding doors or arches, you will get rid of many "dead" zones.

Another important point in creating a project is the definition of functional areas. There are areas that cannot be abandoned: the sleeping area, the work area and the recreation area.

How to correctly plan the design of a one-room apartment

In a small apartment, you need to use all methods to increase the usable area:

These and other techniques will allow rational use of every centimeter of space.

How can I zone the space in a one-room apartment

To distinguish between functional areas, you can use different methods:

  • Use of podiums

In the podium you can hide drawers for things or a bed. And on top - install a dining or desktop. The height of the podium is from 30 cm, which is enough to accommodate a bed, up to 1.5 m - full-fledged wardrobes can be used here. A high podium can become the basis for a bed.

Examples of zoning using podiums:

The arch does not take up much space, and at the same time can be used as a full-fledged delimiter. The arch can be decorated with textiles, lighting or other decorative elements. Airy, carved designs emphasize the elegance of the interior. Massive arches will give a feeling of reliability and solidity.

Examples of arches in the interior:

  • Differentiation with color.

You can select zones without the use of furniture and partitions. It is enough to do this with the help of color, using wallpaper or contrasting walls. Unusual will emphasize different zones. You can also use a combination of a plain wall with a pattern or ornament for this purpose. Another example of zoning is the allocation of areas on the floor. This can be done using a different coating and its color.

Color zoning samples:

  • Use of light and temporary partitions.

Sliding partitions, light, through shelving and - another option, how to highlight a zone in a single space. Glass, wood, wrought iron, fabric, bamboo - almost any material is suitable for this. Conveniently, all these partitions can be easily removed if necessary, for example, if you need to organize a party.

What light partitions look like:

Color in the design of a one-room apartment

The classic option for a color scheme in a small space is the use of shades of the same color from a light range. It must be admitted that such an interior is boring and does not differ in particular elegance.

For decoration, take the base shade - for a small space it should be light, even using white is acceptable. As a second color, choose a muted-bright tone of natural origin. And finally, for accents, use a bright or dark color. The proportional ratio of these combinations is: 60×30×10.

How to use accessories correctly

There are no trifles in the interior. Whichever one is chosen, it is not complete without accessories. They enliven the atmosphere, make accents and attract attention. Sometimes with their help you can deftly divert attention from some flaws or flaws.

Accessories can be purely decorative. These include figurines, souvenirs, photo frames, panels and. If you have a collection of glasses, swords or bottles of sand from around the world, feel free to put them on public display, of course, properly arranging the exposition.

Decorative elements can also have a functional purpose. Original furniture, textiles - all this will please the eye and attract attention. In the selection of accessories, it is important to observe the measure and follow. A design overloaded with decorative elements will look clumsy and tasteless.

Let there be light!

In matters of lighting, you need to follow the basic simple and understandable rules:

  • Space lighting should be divided into basic, decorative and working. The main -, working - directed devices on work surfaces and decorative - and decor items.
  • Each room in the apartment should have its own lighting scenario. In a one-room apartment, you need to think through all three lighting options, for the kitchen you can limit yourself to only functional lighting, for the bathroom and the corridor you will need a combination of the main light with.
  • Use for lighting fixtures in the apartment. They will not only allow you to significantly save on, but will also enable you to smoothly.

  • you need to select not only according to the principle of matching the style of the interior, but also practical convenience. They should not cast unnecessary shadows, match the power of your electrical network and modern lamps.

Fashionable and practical materials for modern interior design of a one-room apartment

Fashion designers are actively using for interior decoration. Among the main trends is porcelain stoneware with imitation of natural stone, metal or wood.

Now the fashion has returned to use the usual one, from which real works of art are made. Manufacturers offer a choice of original ones that can be used in the bathroom, kitchen and living room. Even absorbent panels have appeared on sale that absorb toxic substances from the atmosphere of the room, this is a new trend in the design of eco-housing.

Another novelty is a special film for window glass, which protects it from mechanical impact and reacts to the level of ultraviolet radiation. But these are all new. And now about more traditional materials for interior decoration in relation to a one-room apartment:

hallway decoration

- this is the first room that meets you in an apartment or house. For its decoration, it is important to use materials that are resistant to mechanical damage and pollution. Consider the most popular of them:

  • Wood. This material does not go out of fashion and will be popular for a long time. It creates a good microclimate in the room. The wood paneling in the hallway looks very nice but needs some maintenance.
  • Wallpaper. They are often used to decorate the hallway. Wallpapers are now on sale. It should be noted that the cork is not easy to wash, and its soft surface is unstable to mechanical stress.
    • Plastic. PVC panels are a cheap and practical way to finish the corridor. They are easy to clean, tolerate mechanical stress well and have a wide range of colors, including those imitating natural materials. MDF can also be attributed to the same type of coatings.
    • Imitation stone. A gypsum analogue of natural stone tiles is an original way to decorate a hallway. You just need to carefully consider the design of the corridor so as not to make it look like a stone cave.

    wall decoration in living quarters. You can easily choose your favorite shade, combine different colors.

  • Wallpaper. A simple and logical choice. On sale there are wallpapers with colors for every taste. Paper, non-woven, bamboo, cork - you can choose any.

  • Decorative plaster. Expensive, but durable and practical coating. If it was made by a master, you can get a very high-quality imitation of natural stone or even leather. can be washed, and it will last for more than a dozen years.
  • Drywall. This material is not decorative, but it allows you to create three-dimensional structures that can decorate walls, niches, ceilings, arches. In drywall you can.

Kitchen materials

For the kitchen, you should choose materials that are ready to withstand the mode of increased use of the premises. Heat, humidity, soot and grease - all this will settle on the walls. Therefore, it is better to choose coatings that are easy to wash and clean:

  • Ceramic tile. Modern tiles can imitate other materials, be glossy or matte.

  • Tile. Ceramics is indifferent to water. On sale you can find whole paintings on. Very popular in mosaic options.
  • Moisture resistant plaster. Modern plaster mixtures contain components that are resistant to moisture.

    A one-room apartment is associated with a lack of space. In economy-class residential buildings, the minimum living area of such apartments is 14 square meters. In elite new buildings, this figure is at least doubled. However, in an apartment consisting of one room, it is always difficult to furnish. But even in a small apartment it can be convenient and psychologically comfortable for each family member, if the interior is properly organized. Find out how to properly arrange all the necessary household items.

    The most important thing when furnishing a one-room apartment with a minimum area (28 square meters) is to take into account the number of residents in a given area, their age, tastes, and preferences.

    The following became the standard principles for the practical and aesthetic organization of the situation:

    • Proper use of space - the creation of the most open space by combining the living area with the kitchen, hallway. Redevelopment - elimination of partitions between residential and domestic premises, a combination in one space of furniture and equipment that are similar in functionality; arrangement of internal partitions, windows, openings, arches, podiums; elimination of doors, their replacement with sliding ones or changing the direction of their opening; vertical organization of the interior (available even with a standard ceiling height of 260 - 270 cm!);
    • Functional furniture - the use of non-standard, folding furniture that can be built into wall niches, alcoves, other places (such can be bought in a store or made to order), a bed with a lifting mechanism, a bed that transforms into a wall with a sofa, shelves and a wardrobe; sofa bed, sofa bed, ottoman, sofa bed, sofa bed, ottoman. The use of mobile furniture - transformers: folding chairs, sliding table, fabric hanging wardrobes, screens on wheels;
    • The visual effects of enlarging the room are the active use of mirrors, mirror surfaces, the competent choice of color and wallpaper pattern, the use of suitable photo wallpapers, impeccable lighting.

    It is important to choose in a small apartment light walls, ceiling, floor, matching the color of the furniture. The level of comfort of housing directly depends on the chosen method of redevelopment of the interior. The smallest change of internal partitions can lead to the desired result.

    Placement rules

    Like any responsible business, the choice and arrangement of furniture does not tolerate fuss. You can't go along with your desires and buy "that wonderful bed" or "amazing closet" just because you like them. Furniture is an important part of the interior, you need to choose it based on the technical capabilities of the room. Otherwise, all this beauty will turn into an absurd heap. But you need a comfortable living space, not a warehouse? Therefore, before furnishing a one-room apartment with furniture, try to evaluate the possibilities of the room, ways to redevelop it if necessary:

    1. Do not rush to bring in household items and decor if the room is empty, or take them out if you are thinking about reorganizing the space;
    2. Take measurements of the room, hallway, kitchen, make a plan of the apartment on paper or with the help of a graphic computer program in which interior designers work;
    3. Create several furnishing options by hand in a prepared plan or on a computer;
    4. Analyze photos of the furnishings of an apartment similar to yours. This will help you navigate the organization of space, choose the appropriate interior solutions;
    5. Design tips on space zoning will be useful. In this case, in the middle of each zone, the main pieces of furniture are placed in the odnushka, and additional ones are placed around them;
    6. Opt for compact furniture that does not clutter up the space;
    7. If you need a lot of furniture, then it is better to put it closer to each other so that it is convenient to move around the apartment;
    8. Reflect all your preferences and ways of moving around housing in the plan.

    If you are not the only inhabitant of the apartment, agree with other family members several options for plans, jointly approve the most successful one.

    Hall

    A one-room apartment is a living room, a bedroom and an office at once, so we only bring in the furniture that is necessary and not bulky, which has maximum functionality. If you have an apartment built during the Khrushchev years at your disposal, the first step towards decorating the hall will be to abandon the arrangement of furniture along the walls. This likens a narrow rectangular room to a corridor or a wagon, which can not be called a cozy nest.

    Modern design solutions are based on a square shape, as it is most convenient when creating an interior. What kind of furniture is needed and how should it be arranged in a one-room Khrushchev as well?

    Cupboard

    We give preference to the compartment (one of the doors or all can be mirrored):

    • First, it is roomy;
    • Secondly, it can serve to highlight two zones, if you place it with its end part against the wall. In this case, it visually ceases to be perceived as a traditional cabinet, standing along the wall;
    • Thirdly, it is high, the upper shelves will replace the mezzanines.

    Chest of drawers, bedside tables

    We choose high and narrow ones to make the space as light as possible.

    Bed

    For a good rest you need a comfortable bed. But to afford the royal bed will not work. Single options are as follows:

    • Folding sofa, an important detail of which is the presence of storage boxes;
    • You can do without this item if you make a bedroom on the windowsill. You will need to remake the window sill to a wide, long one, but this option will save space;
    • Another option is to create a bed by the window on the podium, inside which there are many compartments for storing things;
    • A practical solution - a bed on the upper tier, a wardrobe, a work area, a computer desk, a chest of drawers, shelves, a pull-out bed on the lower tier - in one. This mega-functional invention is real! It is ideal for small spaces even when a baby appears and the question arises of how to arrange furniture in a one-room apartment with a child and make a children's area.

    Tables and shelves

    Books, documents, needles, threads, all kinds of household trifles should always be in order, at hand, in a certain place, so that it is convenient to get them without spending a lot of time searching (you can use separators, sign boxes, boxes if they are opaque ). It is best to use for this:

    • Open wall shelves of different lengths, where you can put decor items, place a photo;
    • Open shelving serving as a partition at the same time;
    • Closed shelves, interior boxes and baskets;
    • Built-in headsets that, when opened, serve as a table for work, niches and shelves for storing various items.

    When choosing built-in furniture, pay attention to the following details:

    • Its color should not contrast with the color of the walls, so as not to visually reduce the area of the room;
    • Try to place such transformer headsets not above the sleeping place, because these are still attributes of the working area.

    Armchairs and poufs

    We will have to abandon massive chairs, replacing them with mobile folding chairs.

    Lighting

    In one-room apartments, an adequate level of lighting plays an important role. It is preferable not to use overall floor lamps and other massive light sources. It is best to make spot ceiling lighting, purchase wall sconces, table lamps in a minimalist style.

    Kitchen

    Refrigerator, stove, sink, cutting table, cabinets for dishes, products, spices, dryer, microwave, food processor - this is not a complete list of kitchen attributes. All of them should fit on a minimum of 6-8 square meters, while not hindering your movement around the room and ease of use: when opening the oven, you should not think about how not to touch the refrigerator.

    Kitchen furniture should be ergonomic and functional. The dimensions of the kitchen set are minimal. It is better to make an individual project that allows you to rationally use the corner space of the kitchen.

    Combining a kitchen and a room is one of the common solutions to the problem of lack of space if a family of three lives in an apartment. At the same time, the broken wall between the two rooms is partially restored by installing kitchen floor cabinets, which are a continuation of the suite, with a countertop that can serve as both a place for eating and a bar counter. A small kitchen is often associated with a lack of space for a dining table where the whole family could gather. Therefore, the dining area becomes necessary, and the studio apartment becomes popular.

    Hallway and corridor

    The entrance hall in the apartment is a visiting card. The overall perception of the interior also depends on its design. The layout of the hallways in different apartments is different, so ideas that work on the decor of a square hallway will be completely out of place in a narrow and long one. Evaluate the size of the hallway, lighting, ceiling height.

    If the entrance hall is small (it is a corridor), they act in two ways:

    • Design it according to accepted design rules;
    • Combine the entrance hall with an adjacent room - a kitchen or a living room.

    In the first case (especially when it comes to Khrushchev), you will have to abandon the large closet, instead use:

    • A sliding wardrobe with mirrored doors will not only visually increase the space, but also solve the problem with a mirror in the hallway. In such a closet there is enough space only for seasonal outerwear (middle tier), shoes (lower tier), accessories (upper tier), everything irrelevant is stored in the room. If possible, it is worth putting an ottoman for the convenience of putting on / taking off shoes, place a shelf or a hook for a shoe spoon nearby;
    • Modular furniture is a great solution for any, especially small hallways. No bulky cabinets, only interesting constructive proposals. This kit is assembled to order and will certainly meet all your requirements.

    In the second case, the wall between the hallway and the room or kitchen is eliminated, replaced by an arch or other architectural solution. The entrance hall becomes part of another space and should be stylistically consistent with it.

    Features of accommodation depending on the size of the apartment

    A one-room apartment, regardless of the footage, is a universal territory. The main features of the situation here will be order and organization, the versatility of objects. Remember that large furniture is the compositional center. But the number of meters affects the distribution of furniture, its design solution.

    In a small room without a balcony, it is better to abandon bulky furniture, preferring modular furniture. Such a room should be equipped in a minimalist style, so that each item stands in its place. Focus on the essentials, actively use the wall, corner space, space under the windowsill. Preferred:

    • A sleeping place that can be easily transformed into a guest room during the day;
    • A table that can be used as a working, toilet place;
    • Wardrobe or built-in wardrobe;
    • Hanging, hinged shelves, racks, mezzanines - a great storage option, an interesting way to make the room stylish;
    • Corner furniture always looks original, does not clutter up the space, on the contrary, makes it smoother.

    If the apartment has a balcony or loggia, it is reasonable to make him / her part of the living space: a workplace, a recreation area can be placed here.

    Zoning

    How to arrange furniture in an apartment whose living area is not more than 18 square meters? The answer is obvious - to zone the space. Depending on the composition of the family in the room, zones such as:

    • Guestbook;
    • Working;
    • Bedroom;
    • Children's (arrangement of this zone depends on the age of the child and should change over time: a newborn and a preschooler - one organization of a children's corner, and a schoolchild and a student - a full-fledged workplace).

    For the children's area, you need to choose the warmest and most lit place! A loft bed with a workplace will be an excellent alternative to a children's room.

    If parents get a non-isolated space, they should consider the arrangement in the walk-through room in such a way as to preserve personal space.

    The allocation of functional zones can be done using:

    • Shelving;
    • Screen;
    • Baldakhinov;
    • Sliding partitions;
    • Hanging partitions;
    • Falshsten;
    • catwalks;
    • Partition-shelves made of drywall;
    • Including a balcony in the space of the room;
    • Bed arrangements above the guest area;
    • Arrangement of a sleeping / working / children's place on the "second floor" if you have high ceilings.

    Common mistakes

    Not everyone can afford to invite a specialist to properly arrange furniture in a one-room apartment. Not everyone has a sense of proportion and style. Not everyone has enough knowledge, patience and time to create a competent interior. That is why the result of planning turns into a disappointment. To prevent this from happening, consider the most common mistakes and try to avoid them by furnishing a single room:

    1. An illogical project - even in the smallest one-room apartment there should be a place for a hallway, a guest area and personal space. But why combine the kitchen and the room if one person lives in the apartment? And if there are several inhabitants, it is simply necessary to zone the room;
    2. Overzoning - the standard option for a single person or couple - two zones in a room. More partitions without a corresponding number of residents will make living uncomfortable;
    3. Refusal of a full-fledged place to sleep.
    4. Non-mobile interior - when there are not enough meters in a one-room apartment, it is impossible to arrange stationary furniture everywhere. Think constructively;
    5. Transformers are not in place - if everything is being transformed, assembled, then this space is needed for something. If you don’t need anything, then you can do without transformers and put, for example, a normal bed;
    6. An ill-conceived storage system - why do we need drawers and chests of drawers if there is a built-in headset, podium or wall niche ?;
    7. Unsuccessful eclecticism, or what style the room is in - you can’t overload one room with a combination of different styles, more than three colors, a variety of textures and light sources. The space must be uniform.
    8. Accumulation of unnecessary things and objects - get rid of excess on time so as not to turn housing into a pantry, but yourself into a box.

    Let one-room and small-sized, but this is your apartment. What it will be depends on you!

    Designing a one-room apartment design is not an easy task for a designer. This is due to the fact that the only living space should perform several different functions at once - provide an opportunity for work or study, serve as a place for communication, relaxation and night sleep, and in some cases, be at the same time a children's room. In addition, the footage of such apartments, as a rule, does not allow the designer to apply standard solutions, it is not enough just to fence off a corner for each zone, it is necessary to preserve the feeling of free space to the maximum, which increases the comfort of living.

    We present to your attention the most interesting design options for one-room apartments. Some projects have already been implemented, others are at the final stage of design.

    The interior of a one-room apartment 42 sq. m. (Studio PLANiUM)

    The use of light colors in the design of the apartment made it possible to create coziness in a small space and maintain a sense of spaciousness. The living room has only 17 sq. m. area, but all the necessary functional areas are located here, and each of them performs several functions at once. So, the recreation area, or “sofa”, at night turns into a bedroom, a relaxation area with an armchair and a bookcase can easily be converted into a study or playroom for a child.

    The corner location of the kitchen made it possible to organize the dining area, and the floor-to-ceiling glass door leading to the loggia added light and air.

    In this project, the load-bearing wall proved to be an obstacle to changing the layout, so the designers had to work within the given space. The living room was divided into two parts by an open shelving - this simple solution is very effective in many cases, allowing visual differentiation of zones without cluttering up the space and reducing the light flux.

    The bed is located by the window, there is also a kind of mini-study - a small bureau desk with a desk chair. The rack performs the function of a bedside table in the sleeping part.

    At the back of the room, behind a shelving unit that doubles as a bookcase and display case for souvenirs, is a living room with a comfortable sofa and a large TV. A full-wall wardrobe allows you to store a lot of things and does not clutter up the space; its mirrored doors visually double the room and enhance its illumination.

    The refrigerator was moved from the kitchen to the hallway, as a result, space was freed up for the dining area. Hanging cabinets on one of the walls were abandoned to make the kitchen seem more spacious.

    Design of a one-room apartment of 40 sq. m. (studio KYD BURO)

    A good project that shows how convenient and taking into account all the requirements for the modern level of comfort to equip an apartment for one or two people, while not resorting to changing the original planning solution.

    The main room is the living room. From the furniture in the room: a comfortable corner sofa, a large-screen TV mounted on a hanging console - on the opposite wall. For clothes and other necessary things, a voluminous storage system is provided. There is also a coffee table that adds completeness to the interior. At night, the living room transforms into a bedroom - the unfolded sofa forms a comfortable place to sleep.

    If necessary, the living room easily turns into a study: to do this, you need to open two doors of the storage system - behind them is a countertop, a small shelf for documents and books; the work chair slides out from under the tabletop.

    In order not to burden the space, which is already not too much, the kitchen abandoned the traditional top row of hanging shelves, replacing them with open shelves.

    At the same time, there are even more places where you can keep kitchen utensils and supplies - the entire wall opposite the work area is occupied by a large storage system with a niche in which a sofa is built. Next to him is a small dining group. A rationally organized space allowed not only to save free space, but also to reduce the cost of kitchen furniture.

    The project "Design of a one-room apartment of 40 sq. m."

    Design of a one-room apartment 37 sq. m. (studio Geometrium)

    In the project of a one-room apartment of 37 sq. m. every square centimeter is used. The sofa, armchairs and a coffee table, which form a relaxation area, are raised to the podium and thus stand out from the total volume. At night, a bed is pulled out from under the podium: an orthopedic mattress provides a good night's sleep.

    The TV panel opposite is built into a large storage system - its volume made it possible to correct the initially incorrect, too elongated shape of the room. Beneath it is a living flame, covered with a bio-fireplace glass. A screen is hidden in the box above the storage system - it can be lowered to watch movies.

    The kitchen, which is small in size, contains three functional zones at once:

    1. a storage system with a worktop and kitchen equipment is built along one of the walls, forming a kitchen;
    2. near the window there is a dining area, consisting of a round table and four designer chairs around it;
    3. on the windowsill there is a lounge area where you can relax and drink coffee over a friendly conversation, enjoying the views from the window.

    Project of a one-room apartment with a dedicated bedroom (BRO design studio)

    Even in a small one-room apartment, you can have a separate bedroom, and for this you don’t need to move the walls or build the space like a studio: the kitchen occupies a separate volume and is completely fenced off from the rest of the apartment.

    The project provides for the location of the bedroom near the only window. There is a standard double bed, a narrow chest of drawers that acts as a dressing table, and one bedside table. The role of the second bedside table is performed by a low partition between the bedroom and the living room - its height allows you to maintain the feeling of a large space and provides daylight to the entire living area.

    Lilac wallpaper with a delicate pattern harmonizes with the mustard color of the walls in the design of the kitchen, made in the same style as the room.

    Apartment project 36 sq. m. (designer Yulia Klyueva)

    Maximum functionality and impeccable design are the main advantages of the project. The living room and the bedroom were visually separated by wooden slats: starting from the bed, they reach the ceiling and can change orientation similarly to blinds: in the daytime they “open” and let light into the living room, at night they “close” and isolate the sleeping place.

    Light in the living room is added by the lower illumination of the console chest of drawers, effectively highlighting the main decorative piece of furniture: a coffee table made from a cut of a huge trunk. On the chest of drawers is a bio-fuel fireplace, and above it is a TV panel. Opposite is a comfortable sofa.

    The bedroom has a double-use wardrobe that stores not only clothes, but also books. Bed linen is removed in a drawer under the bed.

    Due to the corner arrangement of kitchen furniture and the island - the oven, it was possible to organize a small dining area.

    The project of a corner one-room apartment of 32 sq. m. (designer Tatyana Pichugina)

    In the project of a one-room apartment, the residential volume is divided into two: private and public. This was done thanks to the corner location of the apartment, which led to the presence of two windows in the room. The use of IKEA furniture in the design made it possible to reduce the budget of the project. Bright textiles were used as decorative accents.

    Ceiling to floor storage separates the bedroom and living room. On the side of the living room, the storage system has a niche for a TV, as well as shelves for storing things. Against the opposite wall, there is a structure of drawers, in the center of which sofa cushions form a cozy place to relax.

    From the side of the bedroom, it has an open niche, which replaces the bedside table for the owners. Another cabinet is suspended from the wall - you can place a pouffe under it to save space.

    The main color in the design of a small kitchen is white, which makes it visually more spacious. The dining table is foldable to save space. Its natural wood countertop softens the strict style of decoration and makes the kitchen more comfortable.

    Interior of a one-room apartment in a modern style (designer Yana Lapko)

    The main condition set before the designers was the preservation of the isolated position of the kitchen. In addition, it was necessary to provide for a fairly large number of storage places. The living area was supposed to accommodate a bedroom, a living room, a dressing room and a small office for work. And all this - on 36 square meters. m.

    The main design idea of a one-room apartment is the division of functional areas and their logical combination using contrasting colors of the spectrum: red, white and black.

    Red in the design actively highlights the seating area in the living room and the office on the loggia, logically connecting them together. The black and white elegant pattern that adorns the head of the bed is repeated in a softer color combination in the decoration of the office and bathroom. A black wall with a TV panel and a storage system visually pushes the sofa part, expanding the space.

    The bedroom was placed in a niche, having built a podium - it can be used to store things.

    One-room apartment project 43 sq. m. (Studio Guinea)

    Having at their disposal a standard "odnushka" series 10/11/02 PIR-44 with a ceiling height of 2.57, the designers decided to use the square meters provided to them to the maximum, while doing without redevelopment in the design of a one-room apartment.

    The successful location of the doorways made it possible to allocate space in the room for a separate dressing room. The partition was lined with white decorative brick, as was part of the adjacent wall - the brick in the design highlighted a place to relax with an armchair and a decorative fireplace.

    The sofa, which serves as a sleeping place, was highlighted with the help of wallpaper with a pattern.

    A separate resting place was also organized in the kitchen, replacing two chairs in the dining area with a small sofa.

    Apartment design 38 sq. m. in a typical house, KOPE series (Aiya Lisova Design studio)

    The combination of white, gray and warm beige hues created a relaxing, calm atmosphere. The living room has two zones. Near the window there is a large bed, in front of which a TV panel on a bracket is installed above a tall narrow chest of drawers. It can be turned towards a small seating area with a sofa and a coffee table, accented by a solid beige floor carpet and located at the back of the room.

    The upper part of the wall opposite the bed is decorated with a huge mirror attached to the wall on a special frame. This adds light and makes the room visually much more spacious.

    The corner kitchen provides plenty of storage space. The combination of gray oak fronts of the lower row of cabinets, white gloss of the upper ones and the shiny surface of the glass backsplash adds a play of textures and brilliance.

    Design of a one-room apartment 33 sq. m. (designer Kurgaev Oleg)

    The design of the apartment is decorated in a modern style - a lot of wood, natural materials, nothing superfluous - just what is needed. Glass was used to separate the sleeping area from the rest of the living space - such a partition practically does not take up space, it allows you to maintain the illumination of the entire room and at the same time makes it possible to isolate the private part of the apartment from prying eyes - for this a curtain is used, which can be pushed back if desired.

    In the decoration of the isolated kitchen, white is used as the main color, and the color of natural light wood serves as an additional color.

    One-room apartment 44 sq. m. from the nursery (PLANiUM studio)

    An excellent example of how competent zoning can achieve comfortable living conditions in a limited space for a family with children.

    The room is divided into two parts by a special structure built for this purpose, which hides the storage system. From the side of the nursery, this is a closet for storing clothes and toys, from the side of the living room, which serves as a bedroom for parents, there is a spacious storage system for clothes and other things.

    In the children's part, a loft bed was placed, under which there was a place for schoolchildren to study. The “adult part” serves as a living room during the daytime, at night the sofa turns into a double bed.

    One-room apartment 33 sq. m. for a family with a child (PV Design Studio)

    In order to visually enlarge the room, the designer used standard tools - the gloss of glossy and mirror surfaces, functional storage spaces and light colors of finishing materials.

    The total area was divided into three zones: children, parents and dining. The children's part is highlighted with a delicate greenish finish. There is a baby crib, a chest of drawers, it is also a changing table, and a chair for feeding. In the parent area, in addition to the bed, there is a small living room with a TV panel and a study - the window sill was replaced with a countertop, and an armchair was placed next to it.

    Project "Design of a small one-room apartment for a family with a child"

    There is not much living space. But this axiom often affects the owners of spacious apartments in a bad way - large areas are spent irrationally. But the owners of small apartments are accustomed to saving every centimeter of space and already know by heart all the ways of visually expanding space and effective planning. Given the ongoing rise in real estate prices (especially in large cities), many of us can consider it a blessing to own even a small, but separate one-room apartment. And it is necessary to equip this dwelling with maximum practicality, comfort and efficiency. Not forgetting about modern trends and personal preferences in interior design. The task is not easy, but doable. Moreover, over the years, designers have gained considerable experience in creating ergonomic, functional and outwardly attractive design projects for one-room apartments. We bring to your attention a kaleidoscope of ideas for creating a multifunctional interior of a small area and we hope that it will help you create an original and convenient design of your own apartment.

    Design ideas for decorating a small home

    Before you start planning repairs in a one-room apartment, you need to decide on the number of functional segments:

    • will the kitchen be combined with the room to increase the total area and create an open-plan interior (this may require not only the demolition of walls and dismantling of doorways, but also the transfer of communication systems);
    • decide on the number of zones in the living room - a segment of sleep and relaxation, a video zone, a workplace, a children's corner;
    • it is also necessary to find out whether it is possible to increase the total area by adding a loggia;
    • in the "Khrushchev" there is a pantry that can be converted into a built-in wardrobe, thereby unloading the room and saving you from the need to install a large storage system for the wardrobe of the whole family.

    If in fact it is not always possible to change the number of free meters, then it is not difficult to achieve a visual expansion of the space using the following design techniques:

    • one of the easiest and most popular ways is to use a light palette. In order to make the room seem larger, but at the same time it does not look shapeless (which happens with the total use of a light tone for all surfaces), use the following layout by tone - the ceiling is the lightest, the walls are one or two shades darker, and the flooring is contrast-dark;
    • glossy, glass and mirror surfaces will also help create a light and fresh image of the room, slightly shifting the boundaries of the small area of \u200b\u200byour only room;
    • in small spaces, it is necessary to give preference to furnishing simple and concise models. Any manufacturer has in its arsenal a line of compact, but at the same time functional and incredibly practical models of sofas and armchairs, storage systems and attributes for them;
    • reduce the use of decor to a minimum, this does not mean that the entire environment should be minimalist, devoid of decorations, but you will have to abandon the floor elements, preferring the dosed use of wall decorative elements;
    • small spaces especially need adequate lighting. If it is very rare to increase window openings to increase the flow of natural light, then it is simply necessary to provide the room with several sources of artificial lighting. With the help of the lighting system, you can not only zone the space, but also decorate it.

    In small rooms, you have to use the whole arsenal of useful design techniques for the correct distribution of space and its visual increase. In the course are also light shades of the color palette of decoration and furniture, the use of pieces of furniture made to fit the room and fit perfectly into it, the use of transformer mechanisms and staying true to the principles of minimalism.

    The combined use of white shades for the design of surfaces and the installation of mirror planes as part of the finish, allows you to create maximum illumination even in a room located on the north side of the building. The snow-white environment is best "diluted" with the integration of wooden surfaces and furnishings in warm, natural colors - from pastel to dark chocolate.

    No less effect to create a light, airy image of the room can be achieved by using glass and plastic interior elements. Transparent plastic and glass seem to dissolve in space. A dining group or a coffee table, a desk or a console - all these items will not weigh down the design of a single room if they have a transparent texture. For the modern style of decorating the room, such elements are perfect as well as possible.

    In shared spaces, every available advantage must be used. For example, if the ceilings in your apartment are above average, then using this design feature is a must. Built-in storage systems under the ceiling are impractical only at first glance. To get to them, you need to use a ladder or at least a chair. But after all, you can store household items in such lockers, which are taken out once a season or even used as needed.

    The high ceiling of the apartment can be used to create an additional residential tier. A sleeping place as a loft bed for adults is a reality of our time. The lack of square meters can be more than compensated by the creation of the second level. It is only important to entrust this task to specialists who can not only correctly calculate the load, but also perform all work with a quality guarantee. By moving the sleeping area to the upper tier, you free up the main space for arranging the living room, dining room and kitchen.

    Transforming furniture can greatly simplify the life of those who are forced to have a living room, a bedroom, a workplace and, possibly, a kitchen with a dining room in one room. A folding bed, which is hidden behind the front of the closet during the day, unfolds into a full-fledged sleeping place for two at night. Folding tabletops, which can serve both for organizing a dining area and a workplace. All these devices, which can hide in the closet during the reception, serve the hosts to create a comfortable environment after they leave. But it is important to remember that each folding mechanism has its own maximum load limit. When making furniture with folding mechanisms or buying ready-made solutions, it is important not to save on fittings - after all, all elements will be put into action daily and even several times a day.

    When creating interiors for small spaces in which several functional segments need to be connected, many designers are inspired by Scandinavian style ideas. Despite the fact that this style loves spacious and bright rooms, its motifs can also be used to decorate small apartments. A reasonable share of minimalism, the creation of the most practical, but at the same time comfortable environment, simple and concise solutions in terms of furniture and “the green light for using decor that is dear to the heart to bring coziness to a home – these are the main ideas that attract designers and their customers.

    Studio apartment or combining a kitchen with a room

    Combining all the functional segments of the home with the isolation of only the bathroom has gained such high popularity all over the world for a reason. This design technique allows you to create the most comfortable and spacious room as much as possible in principle with the number of available square meters. If twenty years ago this type of dwelling was still a novelty for our compatriots, it is now practiced with great success for married couples without children or singles.

    Did you get a studio apartment with a ready-made layout or did you have to demolish all non-load-bearing partitions on your own - the result is the same - you need to properly distribute the available space. The advantage of such premises is that the entire space is evenly illuminated by the sun's rays (there are no partitions or other obstacles) and it seems larger than its actual size due to the use of an open layout. But at the same time, it is still necessary to provide sources of artificial lighting for each functional segment.

    One of the advantages of using an open floor plan is the absence of any partitions and obstacles not only for traffic, but also for the spread of light. Zoning of functional segments occurs with the help of furniture. You can also mark the conditional boundaries of each zone using carpeting (in the living room and bedroom segment, for example) and a lighting system (obviously, one central chandelier is not enough for the entire room).

    In the case of an open layout, there are two options for the distribution of recreation and sleep areas, workspace. In the first case, the room is designed as a living room, and the role of a sleeping place is performed by a sofa bed, which unfolds only for the night. The advantage of such a layout is that it is possible to organize such an environment even on a very modest area. But there is also a significant drawback - the owners will have to constantly sleep on the sofa, and even the most comfortable models cannot be compared in terms of ergonomics with sleeping in a bed, on an orthopedic mattress.

    If your living room will serve as a bedroom at the same time, then it is best to opt for a corner sofa. When assembled, during the day, such sofas can offer a sufficient number of seats for the owners and their guests, in the evening they are laid out into a full-fledged sleeping place for two. Among other things, the corner structure is very convenient to install in the corner of the room near the window. Thus, the light from the window opening will not overlap (which is very important for small spaces) and the “dead” zone of the room can be used as efficiently as possible.

    The second way to organize functional areas in a single room is to install a full-fledged sleeping place in the form of a bed and upholstered furniture to decorate the living room relaxation area. This option is suitable for couples without children and those who are not embarrassed by the openness of the sleeping area. Depending on the size of the room, the living area can be directly adjacent to the sleeping segment or separated by furniture.

    One of the ways to zoning a bed in a common room is to build a bed on a podium. In such structures it is very convenient to have spacious storage systems, which are always lacking in small-sized dwellings.

    We isolate the sleeping area in the common room

    Not all owners of one-room dwellings are suitable for an open-plan option. For many, it is important to be able to retire in the zone of sleep and rest to one degree or another. For some, a frosted glass interior partition is enough, while others need thick curtains that do not let in light. Depending on the size of the room, the number of windows and the size of the bed (single or large double), which needs to be separated, you can choose the following design options for sleeping areas:

    The sleeping and rest area behind the interior partition gives the owners a sense of some privacy, but at the same time does not completely separate the segment from the common space. At the same time, the light from the windows can also penetrate into the sleeping area, if there is no window opening there. As an interior partition, it is most practical to use shelving or cabinets. It can be either a double-sided rack with open shelves, or a storage system on one side and a surface on which you can hang shelves, a mirror, a TV or wall decor on the other.

    Curtains, roller blinds, vertical blinds, and other types of fabric barriers can be a sleeping space option for those who need privacy. This method does not require you to build partitions. You only need to install a guide for fastening curtains or blinds. If the guide is attached to the ceiling, then in the curtained version, the sleep area will not receive its share of natural light (provided that there is no window in the sleeping segment). If you place the curtain rod at the level of a person’s height, then the remaining space will be enough to provide a segment, albeit dim, but still lighting.

    Another option for creating a fence for a berth is to design a zone using glass (or partially such) partitions. Almost half of the sun's rays penetrate through the matte surfaces, but what is happening behind the partition remains indistinguishable. The glass partition gives a sense of isolation on the one hand, and leaves the thought of belonging to a common space on the other.

    Experts recommend using glass inserts for partitions in case of creating a fully insulated segment for sleeping and relaxing. Even small transparent inserts ranging from the ceiling to the doorway will help provide the sleeping area with a small amount of natural light, which can be enough to stay in this segment during the daytime. For evening and night time, in any case, you will provide the room with lighting fixtures.

    Kitchen design in a small apartment

    As a rule, the kitchen space in standard (and even more so in small-sized) apartments has an area of no more than 6.5 square meters. And on this small piece of space it is necessary to place all the necessary household appliances, storage systems, not forgetting about the organization of the dining area. Usually, there is not enough space for this functional segment, and the dining table with chairs has to be moved to the common room, placing the dining room near the living area. But if a married couple without children lives in a one-room apartment, you can organize a small place for meals by extending the countertop of the kitchen island or by adapting an enlarged window sill for this purpose.

    Experts recommend abandoning ready-made kitchen solutions in favor of custom-made sets that will accurately match the capabilities of a modest-sized room and use its advantages most effectively. There are never too many storage systems, especially in the kitchen space. Even a small niche near the gas column or the space under the windowsill can become a place to install a wall cabinet or an open shelf.

    In a long and narrow kitchen, it is most logical to use the parallel layout of the furniture set. With such a distribution of storage systems, household appliances and work surfaces between rows of kitchen cabinets, there is usually only room for movement, but not for installing a dining group. If the length of the kitchen space allows, then you can install a large dining table with chairs or a compact kitchen corner in one of the corners of the room in front of the entrance. Otherwise, the dining area will have to be moved to a common room.

    If the kitchen is part of a common room, then a linear or angular (L-shaped) layout is most often used as the layout of the kitchen set. If there is enough space to organize the kitchen segment, then the set can be supplemented with a kitchen island or peninsula, which most often becomes a place for meals by extending the countertop. But in most cases, you have to limit yourself to the linear arrangement of the furniture ensemble with integrated household appliances. The kitchen area and the rest of the room, as a rule, have the same finish. An exception is made only for the design of a kitchen apron and sometimes flooring in the working area.
