Pharmacological properties:

Broad spectrum antibiotic. Azithromycin is a representative of a subgroup of macrolide antibiotics - azalides. In high concentrations, it has a bactericidal effect. Hemomycin is active against aerobic gram-positive bacteria: Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus spp. groups C, F and G, Streptococcus viridans, Staphylococcus aureus; aerobic gram-negative bacteria: Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis, Bordetella pertussis, Bordetella parapertussis, Legionella pneumophila, Haemophilus ducreyi, Helicobacter pylori, Campylobacter jejuni, Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Gardnerella vaginalis; anaerobic bacteria: Bacteroides bivius, Clostridium perfringens, Peptostreptococcus spp. The drug is active against intracellular microorganisms: Chlamydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Ureaplasma urealyticum, Borrelia burgdorferi, as well as against Treponema pallidum. Gram-positive bacteria resistant to erythromycin are resistant to the drug. Suction. Azithromycin is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, due to its stability in an acidic environment and lipophilicity. After oral administration of Hemomycin at a dose of 500 mg Cmax of azithromycin in plasma is reached after 2.5-2.96 hours and is 0.4 mg / l. Bioavailability is 37%. Distribution. Azithromycin penetrates well into the respiratory tract, organs and tissues of the urogenital tract, into the prostate gland, into the skin and soft tissues. High concentration in tissues (10-50 times higher than in blood plasma) and long T1 / 2 are due to the low binding of azithromycin to plasma proteins, as well as its ability to penetrate eukaryotic cells and concentrate in a low pH environment surrounding lysosomes. This, in turn, determines the large apparent Vd (31.1 l/kg) and high plasma clearance. The ability of azithromycin to accumulate predominantly in lysosomes is especially important for the elimination of intracellular pathogens. It has been proven that phagocytes deliver azithromycin to the sites of infection, where it is released during phagocytosis. The concentration of azithromycin in the foci of infection is significantly higher than in healthy tissues (on average by 24-34%) and correlates with the degree of inflammatory edema. Despite the high concentration in phagocytes, azithromycin does not significantly affect their function. Azithromycin remains at bactericidal concentrations in the inflammatory focus for 5-7 days after the last dose, which made it possible to develop short (3-day and 5-day) courses of treatment. Withdrawal. Removal of azithromycin from blood plasma takes place in 2 stages: T1 / 2 is 14-20 hours in the range from 8 to 24 hours after taking the drug and 41 hours - in the range from 24 to 72 hours, which allows the drug to be used 1 time / day.

Indications for use:

Infectious and inflammatory diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to the drug: - infections of the upper respiratory tract and ENT organs (tonsillitis, middle); - ; - infections of the lower respiratory tract (bacterial and atypical,); - infections of the urogenital tract (uncomplicated and / or); - infections of the skin and soft tissues (erysipelas, secondarily infected dermatoses); - Lyme disease (borreliosis) for the treatment of the initial stage (erythema migrans); - associated with Helicobacter pylori (as part of combination therapy) (for tablets).

Children (the drug is approved for use starting from 6 months, depending on the dosage. See instructions):

How to prepare a suspension for oral administration:

water (distilled or boiled and cooled) is gradually added to the vial to the mark, the contents of the vial are thoroughly shaken until a homogeneous suspension is obtained. If the level of a homogeneous suspension is below the mark on the vial label, re-add water to the mark and shake. The prepared suspension is stable at room temperature for 5 days.

For infections of the upper and lower respiratory tract, skin and soft tissues (with the exception of chronic migratory erythema), the amount of the drug is taken at the rate of 10 mg per 1 kg of the child's weight, 1 time per day, for 3 days (course dose 30 mg / kg). Depending on the body weight of the child, the following dosing regimen is recommended:

The patient's body weight

Daily dosage (if you bought a suspension of 100 mg / 5 ml)

Daily dosage (if you bought a suspension of 200 mg / 5 ml)

100 mg (5 ml) - 1 scoop per day - 3 days

100 mg (2.5 ml) - ½ teaspoon per day - 3 days

200 mg (10 ml) - 2 scoops per day - 3 days

200 mg (5 ml) - 1 scoop per day - 3 days

300 mg (15 ml) - 3 scoops per day - 3 days

300 mg (7.5 ml) - 1 ½ scoops per day - 3 days

400 mg (10 ml) - 2 scoops per day - 3 days

Over 45 kg

Assign doses for adults: 1 tablet 500 mg per day - 3 days

Immediately after taking the suspension, the child should be allowed to drink a few sips of liquid (water, tea) in order to wash off and swallow the suspension remaining in the oral cavity.

In the event that a dose of the drug has been missed, it should, if possible, be taken immediately, and then subsequent doses should be taken at intervals of 24 hours.

Adults and children over 12 years of age:

The drug is taken orally 1 time / day. 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal.

In acute infections of the urogenital tract and urogenital organs (uncomplicated urethritis or cervicitis) - once 1 g.

With peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum associated with Helicobacter pylori - 1 g per day for 3 days as part of a combined anti-Helicobacter therapy.

Application Features:

Do not take the drug during meals. It is recommended to observe an interval of at least 2 hours between taking Hemomycin and antacids. After discontinuation of treatment in some patients, hypersensitivity reactions may persist, which requires specific therapy and medical monitoring.

Side effects:

From the digestive system: (5%), (3%), abdominal pain (3%); 1% or less - melena, cholestatic jaundice, increased activity of liver enzymes, in children - constipation, change in taste, candidiasis of the oral mucosa. From the side of the cardiovascular system: palpitations, chest pain (1% or less). From the side of the central nervous system: vertigo, drowsiness; in children - headache (during therapy), hyperkinesia, anxiety, sleep disturbance (1% or less). From the reproductive system: vaginal candidiasis. From the urinary system: (1% or less). Allergic reactions: rash, angioedema; in children -, itching,. Other: increased fatigue, photosensitivity.

Interaction with other drugs:

With the simultaneous use of Hemomycin and antacids (aluminum- and magnesium-containing), the absorption of azithromycin slows down. Ethanol and food slow down and reduce the absorption of azithromycin. With the joint appointment of warfarin and azithromycin (at usual doses), no change in prothrombin time was detected, however, given that the interaction of macrolides and warfarin may increase the anticoagulant effect, patients need careful monitoring of prothrombin time. The combined use of azithromycin and digoxin increases the concentration of the latter. With the simultaneous use of azithromycin with ergotamine and dihydroergotamine, there is an increase in the toxic effect of the latter (vasospasm, dysesthesia). Co-administration of triazolam and azithromycin reduces clearance and enhances the pharmacological action of triazolam. Azithromycin slows down the excretion and increases the plasma concentration and toxicity of cycloserine, indirect anticoagulants, methylprednisolone, felodipine, as well as drugs undergoing microsomal oxidation (carbamazepine, terfenadine, cyclosporine, hexobarbital, ergot alkaloids, valproic acid, disopyramide, bromocriptine, phenytoin, oral hypoglycemic agents, theophylline and other xanthine derivatives) - due to the inhibition of microsomal oxidation in hepatocytes by azithromycin. Lincosamines weaken the effectiveness of azithromycin, while tetracycline and chloramphenicol increase it. Pharmaceutical interactions Azithromycin is pharmaceutically incompatible with heparin.

Contraindications:

- ; - ; - children's age up to 12 years (for capsules and tablets); - children's age up to 12 months (for a suspension of 200 mg / 5 ml); - children's age up to 6 months (for a suspension of 100 mg / 5 ml); - Hypersensitivity to macrolide antibiotics. Content

In the practice of treating infectious diseases, Hemomycin is known - the instructions for use recommend taking the drug in the form of capsules or suspensions. The antibiotic and its analogues have a wide range of detrimental effects on microorganisms that cause diseases of the skin, respiratory tract, digestive organs, and genitourinary system. Like any antibiotic, it is taken as prescribed by a doctor.

What is Hemomycin

It is an antibiotic whose main active ingredient is azithromycin. By its biochemical nature, it belongs to azalides, has a powerful pronounced bacteriostatic effect. Hemomycin, when it enters the body, blocks and completely stops the synthesis of protein molecules of pathogenic bacteria. As a result, metabolic processes in microorganisms stop and they die. The therapeutic activity of the drug has been proven by practice. Hemomycin has a strong bactericidal effect at significant concentrations in the blood.

The composition of the drug

The main substance in the composition is azithromycin (dihydrate form). In addition to it, the content of the antibiotic includes additional substances, it depends on the form of release of the drug:

  • Capsules contain corn starch, magnesium stearate, lactose, sodium lauryl sulfate.
  • Tablets - povidone, talc, colloidal silicon dioxide, microcrystalline cellulose.
  • Powder for suspension preparation - potassium carbonate, xanthan gum, sorbitol, flavors.

What helps Hemomycin

The drug effectively acts against staphylococci and streptococci, listeria and legionella, chlamydia and mycoplasma. This is not a complete list of microorganisms sensitive to the drug. The effectiveness of Hemomycin is four times stronger than Erythromycin. It is important to remember that all microorganisms that are resistant to Erythromycin are resistant to Chemomycin.

  • dermatitis, erysipelas, soft tissue infections;
  • scarlet fever;
  • tonsillitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, otitis media;
  • urethritis and cervicitis (without complications);
  • stomach and duodenum;
  • bronchitis and pneumonia;
  • Lyme disease - borreliosis (initial stage).

Hemomycin for children

Parents are wary of using antibiotics to treat young children, fearing allergic reactions, reduced immune defenses, disturbances in the intestinal microflora, and digestive failure. There are cases when it is impossible to defeat the disease without the use of antibiotics. Hemomycin suspension is given to children because it is one of the few new generation drugs recommended by pediatricians.

Hemomycin for adults

For adults, a tablet form of Hemomycin and capsules, powder for injections have been developed. An antibiotic suspension is prescribed for adult patients with inflammation of the upper respiratory tract, inflammatory processes on the skin and in soft tissues. Hemomycin for angina is indispensable. The agent is quickly absorbed by the body, penetrates into cells and effectively destroys pathogens. 50% of the antibiotic is excreted by the gastrointestinal tract, 6% by the urinary system.

Instructions for use Hemomycin

The drug is available in four dosage forms, the concentration of the active substance in which is different, therefore, antibiotic treatment regimens differ. The general rules for taking the drug include the following:

  • take medicine between meals;
  • after taking antacid preparations, Hemomycin is taken after 2 hours;
  • tablets and capsules are swallowed whole and washed down with water;
  • after taking the suspension, the oral cavity must be rinsed with water;
  • if the drug is missed, the medicine should be drunk as soon as possible, and the next dose should be in 12 hours or in a day (depending on the doctor's prescriptions).

Suspension for children

Powder for the preparation of a suspension is produced in vials, which are enclosed in a cardboard box. A suspension of 100 mg / 5 ml is prescribed for children from six months, 200 mg - for children older than 12 months. An antibiotic is prepared at the rate of 10 mg of powder per kilogram of the child's body weight. Before taking it, you need to shake it well. The suspension is given to the child 1 time per day. The course of admission is 3 days. The drug is taken one hour before meals or 2 hours after. After taking the drug, the baby is offered an additional drink so that the remnants of the suspension do not remain in the oral cavity.

Tablets

1 coated tablet contains 500 mg of active ingredient, Hemomycin tablets are packed in blisters of three. Each of them is enclosed in a cardboard box. This form is prescribed for infections of the upper respiratory tract. Assign 1 tablet per day, oral administration, the course of treatment is from 3 to 6 days. With urethritis and cervicitis without complications, take 2 tablets once. They are used in a complex of therapeutic measures for pneumonia.

Hemomycin capsules

Hemomycin capsules contain 250 mg of active ingredient. They are released in blisters of 6 pieces. Each is packed in a cardboard box. Antibiotic capsules are prescribed in the treatment of infections of the upper respiratory tract, taken 2 pcs., 1 time per day, for 3-6 days. The duration of the course depends on the severity of the disease. With urethritis and cervicitis without complications, take 4 capsules once.

For Lyme disease, infectious diseases of the skin and soft tissues, the dosage on the first day is 4 capsules, then the drug is taken for another 4 days, 2 capsules per day. Hemomycin capsules are included in complex therapy in the treatment of pneumonia. During the initial intensive treatment of pneumonia, the drug is administered intravenously. Then an additional treatment course is prescribed for 10 days, during which capsules are added.

Azithromycin lyophilisate for injection

For injection, there is a dosage form of azithromycin lyophilisate. It is produced in bottles enclosed in cardboard boxes. The vial contains 500 mg of antibiotic. Use this dosage form for severe inflammation of the pelvic organs. The introduction of the drug is prescribed once intravenously in the amount of 500 mg. The same form of the drug is used to treat pneumonia.

Hemomycin price

  • allergic reactions occur - rashes, Quincke's edema;
  • from the urinary system - nephritis may appear;
  • other side effects include increased fatigue, skin hypersensitivity to ultraviolet radiation.

Hemomycin and alcohol

Simultaneous reception of Hemomycin and alcohol is strictly contraindicated. When they interact, ethyl alcohol significantly reduces the rate of absorption of the drug, nullifying the therapeutic effect of the antibiotic. This combination greatly increases the toxic load on the liver and kidneys. Biological filters have to neutralize alcohol, antibiotic decay products, dead bacteria and the toxins they release. The body reacts to such a biochemical failure with nausea, vomiting, convulsions, and death is not ruled out.

Hemomycin contraindications

There is a group of diseases and conditions (eg, childhood) in which hemomycin is contraindicated. This:

  • hypersensitivity to macrolide antibiotics;
  • liver dysfunction;
  • violations of the kidneys;
  • children under 6 months (relative to a suspension of 100 mg);
  • children under 1 year (relative to a suspension of 200 mg);
  • children under 12 years of age (relative to tablet form and capsules).

The antibiotic Hemomycin should be taken with caution in patients diagnosed with arrhythmia. Hemomycin is not recommended during pregnancy. In rare cases, with a risk assessment, the drug is prescribed by a doctor to expectant mothers. When prescribing, the therapeutic effect for the mother and the harmlessness of the dosage for the fetus are correlated. During lactation, it is better to stop breastfeeding for the period of taking the drug.

Antibiotics - macrolides and azalides.

Composition of Hemomycin

pharmachologic effect

Pharmacological action - antibacterial.

Suppresses protein biosynthesis, slowing down the growth and reproduction of bacteria, at high concentrations a bactericidal effect is possible. Stable in an acidic environment, lipophilic, rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract.

The maximum concentration is created in 2-3 hours, the half-life is 68 hours.

A stable plasma level is reached after 5-7 days.

It easily passes histohematic barriers and enters the tissues.

Concentrations in tissues and cells are 10-50 times higher than in plasma, and in the focus of infection - 24-34% higher than in healthy tissues.

A high level (antibacterial) persists in the tissues for 5-7 days after the last injection.

It is excreted in the bile (50%) unchanged and in the urine (6%). The spectrum of action is wide and includes gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, streptococci of groups C, F, G, Streptococcus viridans ), except for those resistant to erythromycin, and gram-negative (Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis, Bordetella pertussis, Bordetella parapertussis, Campylobacter jejuni, Legionella pneumophila, Neisseria gonorrhoeae , Gardnerella vaginalis) microorganisms, anaerobes (Bacteroides bivius, Peptostreptococcus spp., Peptococcus , chlamydia (Chlamydia trachomatis, Chlamydia pneumoniae), mycobacteria (Mycobacteria avium complex), mycoplasma (Mycoplasma pneumoniae), ureoplasma (Ureaplasma urealyticum), spirochetes (Treponema pallidum, Borrelia burgdorferi).

Side effects of Hemomycin

Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, constipation, flatulence, diarrhea, melena, cholestatic jaundice, chest pain, palpitations, weakness, drowsiness, headache, dizziness, nephritis, vaginitis, candidiasis, neutropenia or neutrophilia, pseudomembranous colitis, photosensitivity, rash , angioedema, eosinophilia; in children, in addition, hyperkinesia, agitation, nervousness, insomnia, conjunctivitis.

Indications for use

Infections of the upper and lower respiratory tract (streptococcal pharyngitis and tonsillitis, bacterial exacerbation of chronic obstructive pneumonia, interstitial and alveolar pneumonia, bacterial bronchitis), ENT organs (otitis media, laryngitis and sinusitis), genitourinary system (urethritis and cervicitis), skin and soft tissues (erysipelas, impetigo, secondary infected dermatoses), chronic stage of erythema migrans (Lyme disease).

Contraindications Hemomycin

Hypersensitivity to macrolides, severe liver dysfunction, pregnancy, lactation.

Method of application and dosage

The drug is taken orally 1 time / 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after meals, because. when taken simultaneously with food, the absorption of azithromycin decreases.

In case of missing one dose of the drug, it should be taken as soon as possible, and subsequent doses should be taken at intervals of 24 hours.

Overdose

The Serbian drug Hemomycin ® is a broad-spectrum antibiotic from the group. These antibiotics today are one of the most effective and low-toxic drugs for the treatment of various infections of bacterial origin. In addition, the indisputable advantage of azalides is a short course of antibiotic therapy and the ability to take them only once a day.

Despite the fact that the release of this drug in pharmacies is over-the-counter, it cannot be used without a medical recommendation. Any potent medicines, including antibacterial ones, require a responsible and qualified approach to their prescription. The description and instructions for the medicine below are for informational purposes only and are not a guide to self-medication.

Prescription for Hemomycin ® in Latin

Rp.: Hemomycini 0.5
D.t.d. No. 3
S. 1 tablet once a day.

Composition Hemomycin ®

The active substance is a fifteen-membered macrolide antibiotic of the azalide subclass azithromycin. When the pathogen enters the cell, it acts bacteriostatically, inhibiting the process of protein synthesis and, accordingly, preventing the growth and development of the pathogen. At an increased dosage, it already has a bactericidal effect. The following bacteria are susceptible to it:

It should be borne in mind that microorganisms that are immune to the founder of the class of macrolides, erythromycin, are also resistant to azalides. Azithromycin is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract very quickly, and its bioavailability is within 40%. It binds slightly to plasma proteins, accumulating mainly in soft tissues, lysosomes of the respiratory and urinary organs, and skin. This explains its therapeutic effect in the treatment of infections provoked by intracellular pathogens.

Accumulating in the foci of infection in high concentrations, the drug is subsequently released over a long period of time, which allows it to be taken in short courses with 24-hour intervals between doses. Metabolized in liver cells to inactive compounds, excreted in urine and feces.

Release form

The owner of the registration certificate and the manufacturer of Hemomycin ® is the Serbian pharmaceutical concern Hemofarm A.D. ® currently produces several dosage forms that allow the use of an antibiotic for the treatment of patients of different ages:

  • Capsules 250 mg, in which auxiliary ingredients are corn starch, lactose, sodium lauryl sulfate, magnesium stearate and gelatin shell components. 6 pieces are packed in cardboard boxes.
  • Film-coated tablets containing 500 mg antibiotic trihydrate. The formative compounds are silicate and conventional MCC, sodium carboxymethyl starch, anhydrous silica, povidone and talc. Packed 3 pieces in a blister and a pack.
  • The powder from which the suspension is prepared by adding water is Hemomycin ® for children. This dosage form may contain 100 or 200 mg of the active ingredient in 5 ml of the finished product. The composition contains sweeteners and flavors, the packaging is glass bottles. The kit includes a spoon, with which it is convenient to give medicine to a child in accordance with his body weight.
  • Lyophilizate 500 mg in vials is a substance for preparing a solution that is used parenterally (intravenously drip) in a hospital setting.

The cost varies between 110-300 rubles per pack, depending on the specific dosage form (the cheapest option is a suspension).

What helps Hemomycin ®

Taking into account the spectrum of antimicrobial action, medications based on this antibiotic are successfully used to treat many bacterial infections. Azithromycin is the drug of choice for some STDs (chancre, chlamydia,), as well as a backup option in case of other sexually transmitted diseases. It is also effective in case of inflammations of the lower and upper respiratory tract caused by susceptible types of microorganisms.

Since the drug is practically harmless, does not require long-term treatment and does not provoke negative responses of the body, it is often used in pediatric practice. In addition, the suspension has a pleasant taste, which facilitates the treatment of babies. For example, Hemomycin ® with angina already on the second day of antibiotic therapy significantly reduces the severity of symptoms.

The drug is also used for the complex eradication of the causative agent of peptic ulcer of the duodenum and stomach - the bacterium Helicobacter pylori. In this case, a tablet or encapsulated dosage form is prescribed. And the ability of the antibiotic to accumulate in soft tissues allows it to be successfully used for various lesions of the skin, fiber and muscles.

Indications and contraindications of Hemomycin ®

The spectrum and mechanism of antimicrobial action are the basis for prescribing the drug in the development of the following infectious and inflammatory processes:

  • all kinds, and;
  • uncomplicated and urethritis (including);
  • dermatoses resulting from secondary infection, impetigo;
  • tick-borne borreliosis in the initial stage;
  • associated with ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract.

Due to demethylation in the liver and excretion through the kidneys, the active substance of Hemomycin ® is contraindicated in case of insufficiency of these organs. It is also impossible to use any forms of the drug in case of intolerance to any components in their composition. Pregnant women and patients with arrhythmia are prescribed carefully, taking into account possible risks.

It is also required to observe age restrictions when using an antibiotic. Tablets and capsules are prescribed only after reaching 12 years. In addition, the instructions for use for children of Hemomycin ® suspension indicate that a drug containing 200 mg of azithromycin in 5 ml should not be given to a child under one year old, and with a concentration of 100 mg - earlier than 6 months of age.

Pregnancy

According to the doctor's prescription, the drug can be taken during pregnancy in cases where the benefit to the mother outweighs the possible risk to the baby.

Dosages for tablets, capsules and lyophilisate

Oral dosage forms, due to the characteristics of absorption, should be taken strictly on an empty stomach, since food in the gastrointestinal tract makes absorption difficult. The best option is an hour before or two hours after a meal, preferably in the evening. The following antibiotic regimens are usually prescribed:

  • Three-day treatment of inflammation of the respiratory tract and ENT organs by taking 500 mg of the drug every 24 hours (that is, the course dose is 1.5 g).
  • Cervicitis and urethritis, provoked by gonococci and intracellular pathogens, are treated with a single use of one gram of an antibiotic.
  • Therapy of borreliosis and skin infections requires a five-day treatment with a total course dose of 3 grams. On the first day, you need to take two tablets of 500 mg, and then one every 24 hours.
  • Combination therapy for Helicobacter-associated inflammation consists in the use of 3000 mg of the drug, 1000 times a day.

If the interval between taking tablets (capsules) has been exceeded, the next dose should be taken immediately and subsequently adhere to the new schedule.

The lyophilisate instructions for use Hemomycin ® recommends that it be administered strictly intravenously and very slowly (over the course of an hour by drip) in a hospital setting. The solution is prepared in stages: first, water for injection (4.8 ml) is added to the antibiotic vial, and after the substance is completely dissolved, the drug is brought to the required concentration with dextrose, Ringer or physiological solutions. So, to obtain a dose of 2 mg per ml, 250 milliliters of solvent are added, and 1 mg / ml - 500.

Severe forms of community-acquired pneumonia and inflammatory processes in the pelvic organs are treated with infusions of the antibiotic Hemomycin ® according to the instructions for the first two days (one infusion of 500 mg of the active substance per day). Then the patient is transferred to oral dosage forms: 0.5 grams for at least a week daily for pneumonia and 0.25 in case of urogenital infections. Moderate insufficiency of the liver and kidneys does not require correction of the daily and course dose (creatinine clearance should exceed 40 milliliters per minute). The infusion method of drug administration is not used for the treatment of children and adolescents under 16.

Hemomycin ® suspension for children: dilution and dosage

This medication is taken in the same way as tablets and capsules: on an empty stomach and only once a day. Before the first use, the powder is diluted with distilled or boiled water, which must be gradually added to the bottle until a special mark is applied to it. The choice of one of the antibiotic concentration options (100 or 200 mg / 5 ml) is made by the pediatrician in accordance with age restrictions and the nature of the disease. He also prescribes the optimal dose, taking into account the body weight of the child.

For any inflammatory processes caused by susceptible pathogens, children are shown to be given 10 mg of an antibiotic per day for every kilogram of weight. For a suspension containing 200 mg of azithromycin in 5 ml, the recommended doses are as follows:

  • a child weighing 10 to 14 kg should take 2.5 ml of medication per day;
  • with a weight of 15-25 kilograms - 5 milliliters;
  • 26-35 - up to 7.5 (one and a half measured or teaspoons);
  • children weighing 36 to 45 kg are given 10 ml of suspension;
  • weighing over 45 kilograms are given "adult" doses.

For a drug with an antibiotic concentration of 100 mg / 5 ml, the dosage is doubled. Before the first and each subsequent dose, the bottle is thoroughly shaken until a homogeneous substance is obtained. The prepared product is stored at room temperature for no more than 5 days.

Side effects

Any dosage form of Hemomycin ® for adults and children is of low toxicity, however, the development of negative reactions of the body in some cases is possible. There are such phenomena as nausea (no more than 5% of cases), epigastric pain, and extremely rarely - vomiting, jaundice, activation of liver enzymes, gastritis and anorexia. Tachycardia, headache, drowsiness, anxiety, hyperkinesia, nephritis, photosensitivity, candidiasis, allergies (in children in the form of conjunctivitis or urticaria) may occur. The listed side effects are recorded in less than 1% of patients.
