Installing a hygienic shower in the toilet: choosing a faucet model, installation options. How to install a hygienic shower in a toilet: installation options, best brands Location in space

There is a proposal to add ONLY PARAMETERS and DIMENSIONS for plumbing installation to this topic. equipment and devices, as well as height, distances, dimensions and technical. cards for terminals of water sockets and ducts for various devices.

Article on the topic "The first steps towards future comfort"

Bath and shower. To ensure that the use of plumbing does not cause inconvenience, it is necessary to ensure free access to all equipment, providing a certain free space around each item. This space in front of the bath or shower should be at least 70 cm (so that after water procedures it is convenient to go out and use a towel). The bathtub is usually placed on one side close to the wall, although, if space allows and there is an option for connecting the necessary communications, it can even be located in the center of the room. To save space, it is recommended to use a corner shower stall. Shower faucets are mounted at a height of 1.2 m, and shower nets - 2.1-2.25 m (from the bottom of the net to the bottom of the tray). It is better to install towel rails so that they can be easily reached from the bath or shower. If the room has a window, then the bathtub should be located at least 1.3 m below the level of the window sill, and it is advisable to tiled the window sill itself and ensure condensate drainage. In this case, the mirror is placed to the right of the window or under it.

Toilet and bidet. SNiP 2.08.01-89* “Residential buildings” defines the minimum dimensions of a bathroom - at least 0.8 m in width and 1.2 m in length. There should be at least 60 cm of free space in front of the toilet and bidet, and at least 40 cm on both sides of the center line of the toilet. If these plumbing fixtures are located nearby, then the distance between them can be slightly reduced (since they are unlikely to be be used simultaneously). The average length of a toilet is 60-65 cm. Flush tanks in “English” toilet models are usually mounted at a height of 1.8 m (to the bottom of the tank).

Wash basin
. The space in front of the washbasin should be 70 cm wide and 110 cm long (so that two people can easily stand side by side in front of it). If there are two washbasins in the bathroom, then the distance between them (along the axis of the mixer) should be at least 90 cm. However, you should be aware that double models with a width of more than 1.2 m are inconvenient for simultaneous use. It is better to install two separate washbasins - with a towel holder between them and a side table, or with a table between the washbasins and towel holders on the sides. The optimal installation height of the water bowl from the floor level is 80 cm (for sinks with an individual mixer) and 85 cm (if there is a common mixer with a long spout for a washbasin and bathtub).

For convenience, a mirror, shelf or cabinet above the sink is mounted at a height of 135 cm from the floor. In this case, the most suitable height of the mirror itself is 45 cm. However, these figures are average; the installation location of cabinets, mirrors and other accessories should be chosen taking into account the height of all family members using the bathroom.

Foreign standards. The regulations for the location of sanitary equipment in all European countries are quite similar. For example, the German standard DIN 18017 recommends installing a washbasin at a height of 80-82 cm from the finished floor. Our SNiP 3.05.01-85 “Internal sanitary systems” determines the height of the washbasin in residential buildings in a similar way. American standards developed by the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) differ slightly from those adopted in Europe and are measured in inches (1″ is equal to 25.4 mm). Thus, washbasins in the USA are prescribed to be installed at a height of 30-32″, a mirror - at a maximum height of 40″ (from the floor to the bottom edge). The width of the bathroom from the central axis of the toilet to the wall should be 18″, the minimum space in front of the bathtub should be at least 30″, and in front of the shower – 36″. The mounting height of the shower mixer is 38-48″.

Standards for installing plumbing equipment in Asian countries, in turn, operate with much lower numbers, which is quite consistent with the anthropometric parameters of the population.

What can you come up with if you need a bidet in the bathroom, but there is nowhere to put it? A good option is a hygienic shower. It can be installed next to the toilet and then this popular piece of sanitaryware will also become a bidet. What needs to be taken into account in order to correctly install a hygienic shower in the bathroom?

Hygienic shower location

The specifics of using such a piece of equipment in a bathroom or toilet room presuppose quite stringent requirements for its placement. And the first of them concerns the question at what height to hang a hygienic shower. Usually it is not placed very high, since it is used not only for its intended purpose - for performing hygienic and medical procedures, but also for cleaning the toilet, for filling containers with water, for example, during cleaning, putting shoes in order, dog paws after a walk, washing children's potty, cat litter box and so on. Experts believe that the optimal height for installing a hygienic shower in a toilet is about 80-85 cm from the floor. At the same time, it should be at arm’s length and, accordingly, with the right hand from the person sitting on the toilet, if the calculation is right-handed. Only in this case will the use of this equipment be as convenient as possible. Especially if the installation of a hygienic shower is dictated by the recommendations of a doctor and for medical reasons (doctors recommend water procedures, for example, in the event of diseases of the rectum or gynecological problems).

Depending on the reasons for the appearance of a hygienic shower in the house, it can be installed both in the bathtub and in the toilet, and connected to the bathtub, the toilet, the sink, and the riser. This equipment for hygienic and medical procedures will be a good help when caring for seriously ill people or when there are small children in the family.

Installation work

A standard set of hygienic shower consists of a shower head with a button or lever to turn on the water supply, a hose, a wall holder on which the shower head is hung, and a mixer. Installing a hygienic shower in a toilet involves several installation options.

First option. The easiest way is to connect such a system to the sink. But this is only possible if the hygienic shower is planned to be installed in a combined bathroom, or when there is enough space in the toilet to place a sink next to the toilet, and there should be a small distance between them. In this case, the watering can be placed between the sink and the toilet by fixing the holder for it on the wall, directly on the sink or above it. The latter option is even more convenient, since droplets of water will remain in the sink and not drip onto the floor. For this installation option, you only need to purchase a hygienic shower head and a holder, and then combine this system with the sink faucet. True, in this case the mixer must have a special outlet for a hygienic shower. If the installed faucet does not have such an outlet, then you will have to replace the faucet when installing a hygienic shower so that it meets the requirements.

Second option. It is suitable for installing a hygienic shower in a toilet where only the toilet is located. A fairly simple installation method, you just need to decide how to place the hygienic shower in relation to the toilet. There may be several solutions. Firstly, such a shower can be installed on the same wall near which the toilet is installed, then to use it you will have to turn around, since the object you are looking for will be behind your back. Secondly, it can be placed on the wall on the right or left (whichever is more convenient). Thirdly, on the wall opposite the toilet, if it does not contain a doorway and is close enough for the watering can to easily reach the toilet bowl. It makes sense to weigh the pros and cons and find the optimal location, after which you need to supply water to it and connect the mixer. The list of works essentially differs little from the installation of a conventional wall-mounted mixer, which is installed on hot and cold water supply pipes connected to the installation site. The best way to demonstrate how to install a hygienic shower in a toilet is a video. Numerous craftsmen readily share their experience. Here is one version of a video that tells how to install a hygienic shower in a toilet.

Third option. The so-called hidden or built-in installation method, when all the water supply is hidden in the wall, and only a watering can with a hose and a control panel remain on the surface, is perhaps the most aesthetically pleasing. But it will take longer to tinker with installation. You can hide the water supply pipes either behind a plasterboard false wall, which will invariably “eat up” the area of the already small bathroom space, or in grooves, which is more convenient to do during a major renovation of the room.

    If you do not plan to cover the wall with plasterboard, then a recess must be made in the wall at the installation site for the mixer installation box. The most accurate way to achieve this is to use a crown of the required size.

    Install the installation box, firmly securing it to the wall, and mount the functional part of the mixer. Next, lay the water supply pipes in the grooves. Connect the system, first turning off the water supply.

    Check the tightness of all connections.

    Plaster the grooves, level and putty the walls.

    Attach a holder for a hygienic shower head to the wall.

    Cover the outlets of the mixer pipes with a decorative panel.

    Connect a flexible hose to the mixer, connecting it to a watering can.

Fourth option. You can connect a hygienic shower directly to the toilet and even provide for attaching a holder to it. But in this case, special wiring is required.

Fifth option. Installing a hygienic shower with a thermostat will make using it more convenient and economical. The installation method itself differs little from the wall and hidden mounting suggested above. True, a special outlet must be provided in the built-in mixer. This is a metal element into which water flows. The hose is connected to it. By the way, when choosing a mixer with a thermostat, pay attention to the fact that there are models of hygienic showers where this outlet also serves as a holder for a watering can. Convenient, wouldn't you agree?

Please note!

  • Decide on the place and method of installing a hygienic shower before purchasing a specific model, since each model provides for certain installation conditions that you may not have.
  • Some models are designed to connect to one pipe, which is also worth paying attention to.
  • Experts point out that faucets made of brass are more reliable than models made of silumin.
  • The determining point is the length of the connecting hose, since when using a hygienic shower it should not reach the toilet bowl by tension.
  • If you are willing to overpay a little for comfort, then it is better to purchase a model with a thermostat.
  • In some showers, you have to constantly press the water on button during use, while others are equipped with latches that are much more convenient.
  • When installing a shower equipped with a thermostat, as well as when installing a shower on a sink, you should ensure that the watering can and hose are not constantly under pressure, and therefore the water on the mixer and thermostat must be turned off. Otherwise, the watering can will quickly fail.

Not everyone can afford a large house with several bathrooms. If we talk about most city apartments, then even a separate toilet with a bathtub is not always found here. Therefore, owners of such real estate have to look for various options to save space.

A small sink for the toilet will never be superfluous. This is hygienic and correct, since the person will have the opportunity to wash their hands properly. But most often the dimensions of such rooms in apartments with a standard layout are small. Therefore, you should not count on a full-fledged plumbing device. However, finding a corner for a miniature washstand is quite possible. For such cases, manufacturers produce special models, which have recently been in great demand. Without compromising the free space of the bathroom, you can create all the conditions for compliance with hygienic requirements.

In terms of their functions, compact plumbing devices are not inferior to full-fledged products. But their sizes are small enough, so you shouldn’t think that they can be used for washing dishes or other similar tasks. But the mini versions are quite suitable for hands.

Recently, small toilet sinks have been in great demand. They are installed not only in these rooms, but also in small bathrooms. Such options make it possible to save space, and this is very much appreciated when arranging small spaces.

Such plumbing products can be divided into several groups, depending on certain characteristics:

  • corner;

  • ordinary;

It is very convenient when the design is equipped with a cabinet. But such options will take up more space. Therefore, it is worth choosing a model that will not eat up useful space in a small room.

Mini-products are also divided by appearance. Design solutions can be so unique that many buyers are simply blindsided when choosing. Despite the fact that such sanitary products are very small and their main purpose is washing hands, they can become a real decoration of the room. For example, on sale you can find mini models that are made in the shape of a drop of water.

This design idea can perfectly complement the design of the bathroom.

As for the color scheme, it can be completely different. Mini sinks are available in white, black, blue, striped and even patterned. Some products are completely transparent, as special materials are used to make them.

When choosing, you must first take into account the amount of free space that is available in the room. It is very important that the device does not interfere with the use of the bathroom. If the room is very small, you should take a closer look at hanging options. It is optimal to use a corner design. In other cases, you can choose between small sinks with a toilet cabinet and products on a foot.

Technical characteristics of the mini sink

The main feature of such plumbing products is their size. They are very small, so they can easily fit even in small rooms. But, unlike standard models, mini versions are only suitable for hand washing. It is even impossible to wash dishes in them because the bowl size is too small. Mini versions usually use dimensions of 30x30 cm. But there are also larger models. Basically, these are those models that are equipped with a cabinet or leg. The smallest toilet sink is the corner one.

The technical characteristics of the sanitary ware may vary depending on the needs of the buyer. Considering that design solutions when decorating a small bathroom can be different, products are even produced in quite unusual shapes and parameters. A striking example of this is the model, which has a length of 45 cm and a width of only 18. This makes it possible to install it on the wall and save space.

You can also find hand washing devices on sale that have a very interesting and, most importantly, ergonomic design. The designers' development was so successful that it turned out to be a mini-sink for the toilet, in which you can wash your hands without splashing water.

Materials of mini toilet sink

The design and color of the model may vary. But similar plumbing products also differ significantly in the material of manufacture, which determines the appearance, strength and price:

Regardless of what material the product is made of, it requires careful care. For this purpose, it is advisable to choose those detergents that are recommended for a specific type of product.

How to choose the smallest sink for your toilet

Before choosing one option or another, you need to weigh the pros and cons. First of all, you should carefully measure the space in the room and determine how much space can be allocated for the product. This will help you decide on the shape easier. If there is very little space, a small corner sink for the toilet or wall-mounted options will do. In those rooms where there is enough free space, you can install a model with a cabinet in which you can hide various small items, including toilet paper and detergents.

In addition to the shape and size, you should pay attention to the mixer. It should be small and fit well. Otherwise, using the plumbing will be inconvenient, as water will spill and splash.

When choosing a mini-sink for a toilet, you should not focus only on price. In this case, expensive does not mean the best and highest quality. As an example, we can take stone models, which are very expensive, but their use will be inconvenient. They are difficult to wash, and the natural material retains odors for a long time.

A ceramic mini-sink is also suitable for the bathroom. The main thing is that it fits well and does not have cracks or chips.

Design of a small toilet with a sink

Experienced specialists can create a comfortable toilet space even on one square meter. Now on sale you can find very small models that are suitable for any situation, including the smallest rooms. There is no need to worry that the plumbing fixtures will be too small. Experienced designers always say that even a miniature version allows you to wash your hands normally, and nothing more is required from this type of plumbing fixture. For everything else there is a full sink in the kitchen and bathroom.

Offers from plumbing manufacturers make it possible to find a suitable solution for any design.

At the same time, experts advise choosing corner models for the smallest toilet rooms. They are compact and safe, as they do not have protruding corners.

This will be a great replacement for a bidet.

Manufacturers, models and prices

Depending on the material of manufacture, the cost of the product can vary significantly. But even among products of the same type there can be a significant variation in prices, since different manufacturers offer different quality.

  • For example, for a small toilet sink (20 cm) from the Serel company you will have to pay about 6,000 rubles.
  • A similar option from the Italian Patio will cost 3,000 rubles.
  • A Russian Lada sink can be purchased for only 800 rubles, although its quality is at a fairly high level.
  • Many users recommend Polish plumbing products. One of the leaders is Eco. A mini-product from this company can be purchased for 1,200 rubles.
  • Good plumbing fixtures from Marlin Kyle, made in the UK, will cost about the same.
  • In the middle price category, we can distinguish the Swedish Nordic New and the Czech Ravak. Mini-sinks from these manufacturers will cost a Russian buyer approximately 3,000 rubles.

Today, such plumbing equipment as a hygienic shower in the toilet does not surprise anyone. What is more puzzling is how they managed without it before. But there is an explanation for this: plastic and propylene pipes, fittings, faucets without spouts have appeared on the market relatively recently. With cast iron pipes it was much more difficult to create a hygienic shower in the toilet.

The purpose of a hygienic shower is clear to everyone. It is necessary for washing intimate places in order to maintain personal hygiene. Since it will be used frequently, the design of this equipment must be approached with the utmost seriousness.

A hygienic shower consists of the following elements:

  • mixer without spout (single-lever or double-lever);
  • watering cans;
  • flexible hose;
  • watering can holder.

Some sources consider a bidet or a toilet with a bidet function as a hygienic shower. However, this does not seem correct. A bidet and a toilet with a bidet function are independent sanitary equipment that allows you to perform personal hygiene procedures.

A shower, whether hygienic or otherwise, requires a watering can, a flexible hose and a mixer. Only such a set of equipment can be called a “shower”. Therefore, it is this that is considered further.

But there are also faucets that are installed directly into the toilet lid. These designs always provide one of two possible control methods: manual or electronic. Models of the second type are more modern and more expensive. A hygienic shower for a toilet with a mixer can be purchased separately and installed independently.

Choosing an installation location

A shower for personal hygiene should be installed where its use will be most convenient: in close proximity to the toilet. For a left-hander this will be the left side, for a right-hander it will be the right. But not necessarily. It is rare to find families in which all members of the household are left-handed. Therefore, personal hygiene equipment is traditionally installed so that it can be easily reached with the right hand.

An important criterion for choosing a location is height. Here you need to take into account two factors at once: the position of the mixer and the watering can. Both will be used when performing personal hygiene procedures. The optimal height for installing a hygienic shower in a toilet is as follows:

  • mixer – at the level of the upper part of the forearm of the right hand (with the body position “sitting on the toilet”);
  • watering can - to the right or left of it so that its holder is at the same level with the horizontal axis of the mixer.

This is the standard arrangement of shower elements on the toilet wall. Depending on the selected equipment configuration and the availability of free space, their location can be changed for reasons of ease of use.

Models of shower equipment for personal hygiene

Manufacturers of sanitary equipment offer a wide selection of models of shower equipment. You can buy a ready-made kit or assemble it yourself, according to your preferences for design and functionality.

Installing a hygienic shower in a toilet is impossible without cups (reflectors), which are used to hide the connection points to the water supply pipes. This must be taken into account when choosing a mixer. Each of them comes with cups. But the size (diameter) may not fit specific connection points if for some reason there are defects near them. The most common of these is chipped ceramic tiles.

Faucet selection

The mixer for a hygienic shower in the toilet can be single-lever or double-lever. There are no strict guidelines regarding this criterion. Everyone chooses the most convenient option for themselves. But it would be useful to consider the advantages of different types of mixers.

What's good about single levers:

  • all manipulations are performed with one handle;
  • It takes less time to perform personal hygiene procedures.

Double-lever ones are good because you can choose a model with a wider cavity volume for mixing water. This way you can quickly “catch” a comfortable temperature. Those who regularly use single-lever pumps know that they have one drawback: it is not always possible to quickly find a handle position that will allow water to flow at the desired temperature.

Advantages of faucets with thermostat

Today there are the most modern types of mixers: with a thermostat (thermostat). They can be either with one control lever or with two. Mixers of this type allow you to set a comfortable water temperature once and will maintain it constantly.

Therefore, there is no need to spend time and effort searching for the optimal position of the levers. In addition, there is one more “plus”: by opening the tap, the child will not get scalded by too hot water.

If a mixer with a thermostat is selected for the shower device, it can be separated from the watering can over a considerable distance. The fact is that equipment with a thermostat allows you to set a comfortable temperature and water pressure once. Which will continue to support us in the future.

Selecting a watering can and flexible hose

The watering can and flexible hose can be purchased separately or as a set. It's better to choose the second option. Basic requirements for these shower elements:

  • tightness of connections between each other;
  • anti-corrosion;
  • ease of use;
  • attractive appearance.

For a hygienic shower, it does not make sense to buy a long flexible hose. A fairly short one is 1.25 m. This is the standard length for shower sets of this type.

Options for installing a hygienic shower in a toilet

You need to think about how a hygienic shower in the toilet will be arranged at the stage of laying pipes (if this is a new building) and choosing a place to install it (if this is a used home). There are three options for installing a hygienic shower:

  1. Open.
  2. Closed.
  3. Connection to the sink.

Second: a hygienic shower with a hidden-mounted thermostat, the most complex, as it requires cutting the wall and laying pipes in the appropriate recesses. The first one is simpler in connection technology, but less attractive from an aesthetic point of view.

However, it is most often chosen when installing hygienic equipment in already inhabited premises. Not wanting to destroy the external tile finish, the owners simply extend the pipes to the desired location and connect the mixer to them. If desired, the installation site can be masked using a plasterboard box.

Therefore, how to connect a hygienic shower in the toilet is chosen based on various considerations:

  • practicality;
  • efficiency;
  • installation speed;
  • ease of use.

Sink connection

Installing a hygienic shower in a toilet by connecting it to a sink is both simple and complicated at the same time. It all depends on how open access is to the pipes of the water supply system and whether the toilet already has a working sink.

If there is none, it is installed simultaneously with a hygienic shower as follows:

  • choose a place for the sink and watering can, mark it on the wall;
  • determine how the pipes will be laid and make grooves in these places;
  • lay the pipes so that there are two connection points: hot and cold water;
  • determine the location of the sink and install it;
  • cover the grooves with cement-sand mortar, plaster mixture or tile adhesive;
  • connect the sink outlet to the sewerage system;
  • install a faucet on the sink, which must have a separate outlet for connecting a flexible hose;
  • connect a flexible hose to the mixer;
  • in a predetermined place, holes are drilled on the wall to install the watering can holder;
  • install the holder;
  • connect the watering can to a flexible hose and install it in the holder.

But not every toilet in modern apartments has enough space to install a sink. For this reason, other options for creating a hygienic shower are used.

Connection to an existing water supply system

In used toilets, water and sewer pipes are hidden by building plasterboard boxes. To install a hygienic shower, this external protection will have to be dismantled. Then proceed as follows:

  • turn off the taps that regulate the supply of hot and cold water;
  • select the insertion points for the tees and install them;
  • choose a method for laying pipes and install them, having previously connected them to the tees;
  • wrap the threaded connections of the mixer with plumbing linen and/or fluoroplastic fum tape;
  • install the mixer;
  • connect a flexible hose to it;
  • install the holder on the wall;
  • connect a flexible hose to a watering can.

In this installation method, the main difficulty will be the installation of pipes. They can be laid open or closed. But regardless of the installation option, special attention is paid to the tightness of the connections.

Instead of two tees, you can install only one: on the hot water pipe. And connect to cold water from the outlet to the toilet. Sometimes this installation will be most convenient. The connection option is selected based on the characteristics of pipe routing and plumbing connections in a particular room.

If you take your time and carefully consider every step, installing a hygienic shower in the toilet will not cause any particular difficulties. Properly installed equipment will serve well for many years.

A shower designed for personal hygiene is not much different from conventional equipment. Like its standard counterpart, it includes three elements: a flexible hose, a watering can nozzle and.

The size and shape of the nozzle differ, which gives a directed small stream without unnecessary splashes. Therefore, it is smaller than its analogue, more often rectangular than round.

Some models additionally include a thermostat. It regulates the degree of heating of the water supplied to the watering can. Thus, the device measures the temperature of the liquid entering it and, if necessary, mixes it with cold water to obtain a user-specified value. The presence of a thermostat increases the price of the kit. But at the same time it makes its use comfortable and safe.

Types of system

Under the name hygienic, various equipment that performs similar functions is combined. Based on the type of construction, there are four types.

Bidet cover

A cover with a built-in water supply device that can be heated. Models are available with the function of smoothly lowering the seat and a built-in hairdryer.

The elite category includes electronically controlled bidet covers. From the remote control, the user adjusts the pressure and direction of the jet, sets the temperature of the liquid, and selects one of five drying modes. At the end of the work, the plumbing fixtures are automatically deodorized.

Wall equipment

The hose with the sprayer is connected to the water supply in the immediate vicinity of the toilet. The mixer can be built into the wall or mounted on top of it. The pipes are laid in grooves and walled up or laid on top of the wall trim. In the latter case, they are masked with a decorative box. The system is easy to operate and install, and is very reliable. Can be additionally equipped with a thermostat.

Sink connection

A good option for combined bathrooms, where the sink is located near. In such cases, a non-standard mixing device with three outlets is installed, one of which is intended for the shower head. Such models are rarely available with a thermostat; most often the temperature is regulated by a valve supplying hot water.

Bowl cover

The shower set is placed on the edge of the bowl under the lid. A special mounting plate is used for this. The system is simple and easy to use. Its disadvantage is the difficulty of masking supply lines. They can only be hidden in a box made of plastic or wood. It will have to be picked up and installed.

Installation of a hygienic shower

Since all types of plumbing fixtures differ significantly in design, each has separate installation instructions. Let's look at them one by one.

1. Installing the bidet cover

The range of such devices is wide. Models are available with and without heated supply water. In the first case, an electrical connection is required. Usually in this case there is also a hair dryer with one (or more) modes. Disinfecting systems are installed as additional options. This means that you will need to secure the tank, which is filled with liquid to treat the nozzles and bowl.

Other additional options are possible. All this complicates installation. Therefore, before carrying out it, you need to read the manufacturer’s instructions on how to properly install a hygienic toilet.

Step-by-step installation instructions

  1. Close the shut-off valve. We empty the flush tank. Remove the lid from it, unscrew the connecting hose suitable for the container.
  2. Remove the old cover, if there is one.
  3. We remove the nuts and washers from the fastening bolts of the new fixture, thread them into the holes of the plumbing fixture intended for this purpose, and tighten them.
  4. We install a tee, install a hose that will connect it to the tank. We fix the filter.
  5. We connect the tee and the supporting structure. We check the operation of the system.

If the bidet lid is volatile, for example with built-in heating or with a hairdryer, we connect it to the network.

2. Wall design

It’s good if the decision to install the system is not spontaneous. If it is accepted before repair, all communications can be laid hidden, inside the groove. In addition, it is easier to choose a place for installation: distance from plumbing equipment, convenient height, etc. There are many installation options, they depend on the design features of the product. We'll walk you through the general process steps for an embedded device.

Location determination

The standard height of a hygienic shower from the floor is 700-800 mm. You can choose any other value that will be convenient for the owner. This must be done so that the water supply tube does not touch the floor when the watering can is secured in the holder. It is not recommended to place the bracket above the toilet; this is especially true if the room is cramped. So they will constantly touch him with their elbow. It is better to install the elements on the wall in front of the plumbing.

The easiest way to determine the height of the hygienic shower and its location is by trying on. To do this you need to sit on the toilet. With their hand extended towards the wall, they try several options for placing the shower head and regulator. Choose the most convenient one. Use a pencil or marker to make a mark on the wall.

Pipeline connection

Find the shortest route for the water supply from the input section to the holder bracket and mixer. Mark it on the surface. According to the marking, grooves are cut for hot and cold pipelines. For built-in elements of plumbing equipment, a recess of a certain size is cut out. A plastic box is inserted into it. It will protect parts from dust, and the wall material from excessive moisture.

It is better to make hidden eyeliner in the toilet from. They are joined by welding, which reliably protects against possible leaks. For joints, corner and straight fittings are purchased. In order not to make a mistake in their quantity and type, before purchasing, they build a diagram of the future eyeliner, where it is easier to count the elements. Polypropylene parts are joined together and placed in grooves.

The mixer is connected to hot and cold water supply pipes. For this purpose, special threaded fittings are used. A common outlet is led from the unit to a water outlet; a shower hose will subsequently be connected here. Check the assembly quality of the wiring, then close it flush with the wall. Only the water outlet and the control rod remain on the surface.

The surface is covered with the selected decorative material. During the work process, the necessary holes for the external elements of the system are cut in it. After finishing is completed, the hose leading to the shower head is attached to the water outlet, the head of the mixing device is covered with a decorative element, and the control lever is put in place. We invite you to watch a video that complements these instructions.

Unlike built-in ones, wall-mounted modifications are easier to install. Eccentrics are placed in the water outlets connected to the intended location. They help to accurately set the horizontal position of the part and the distance between the axes of the valves. Then the mixer is secured with union nuts. A shower hose with a shower head is screwed onto its outlet.

3. Connection to the sink

You can connect to the sink yourself, provided you have a special mixing device with three outlets. Two of them are connected to the hot and cold water supply terminals, and a flexible plastic tube with a shower head is attached to the third. Important note: for the equipment to function properly, the distance from the sink to the sink must be small. This is clearly visible in the photo.

If the bathroom is already in use, you will have to remove the old faucet before installation. It is being replaced with a new one with three outputs. Two of them are connected to communications as standard. The third is connected to a flexible hose using a threaded fitting.
