In this article, we will talk about how to make them from wallpaper with your own hands.

Blinds in our climate are widespread in offices, shops, and in our own apartments. They are easy to buy, but there is an opportunity to save your money and make them yourself from wallpaper. Everything you need for this is in every home. After all, after the repair, there are always unclaimed rolls. These curtains are needed for apartment windows, balconies, cottages. It is easy for anyone to make them on their own. Everything you need for this is in any home.

First of all, you need to decide what wallpaper to make the product from. They should be strong, but not too thick. It is necessary to pay attention to their pattern so that it harmonizes in color with the curtains, furniture of the room. An interesting option is when they are made from the same wallpaper that the room is pasted over.

First way

For work you need:

  • a roll of paper wallpaper with a length of at least 1500 mm;
  • scissors;
  • meter ruler and pencil;
  • cord 1.5-2 mm thick;
  • awl;
  • double sided tape;
  • retainer;
  • decorative tape.

You will need:

  • newspapers;
  • beautiful cord;
  • two plastic rings;
  • rope;
  • Crochet hook;
  • paints, brushes for coloring newspaper tubes.

For blinds on a standard window, you need to wind up to 200 newspaper tubes 400 mm long. Long tubes can be cut in the process.

Master class: the newspaper is wound on a thin metal rod, usually a knitting needle is used. Having wound a piece of newspaper on it, the edge is glued. All tubes should dry well. Then they are painted with acrylic paint. It is recommended to add PVA glue 3 to 1.

After painting and drying, the most crucial moment comes. A large number of small round tubes need to be connected into a durable canvas.

The first connection method: fasten the tubes, twisting with a rope, making one or two knots. Each knot is desirable to be lubricated with glue for greater strength. You need to start from the top side of the curtain. The rope should be almost twice as long as the curtain. The upper end is tied to a plastic ring. Now you need to twist both ends of the cord from the inside and outside.

The second option is used by those who know how to crochet at least a simple chain. This method is more reliable, the tubes are tightly held by a cord chain, do not untie and do not stretch.

At the bottom, the cord is tied into a knot; for strength, we coat it with glue. We lay out the canvas on a flat surface and align the tubes, cutting off too long.

Drive carnations or special hooks into the window frame. It is easy to hang a canvas on them for plastic rings. In any case, the curtains are easy to remove on a cloudy or rainy day.

In order not to remove the blinds completely, you can take a beautiful satin ribbon, strengthen it from above and lower the curtains on both sides. At the bottom, at the desired height, tie the ribbons into a knot and knit a beautiful bow. These homemade curtains are a variant of roller blinds.

Blinds repair

Old faded plastic, paper or wooden blinds can be restored with wallpaper. You need to choose wallpapers that best suit the interior of the apartment, enliven and decorate it.

You will need:

  • wallpaper;
  • old blinds;
  • PVA glue;
  • scissors;
  • ruler;
  • pencil.

On old curtains, we measure the width, length and number of slats. On a roll of wallpaper, draw the same stripes. We mark the places of the holes in the old blinds, so that later we can make cuts. We cut out the strips and stick them on the old lamellas. At the holes, cut into three parts. We try to glue one by one, without disturbing the pattern of the wallpaper.

We try on the windows, admire the updated curtains.

Advantages and disadvantages of paper blinds

Homemade paper curtains have several advantages:

  • Low material cost compared to real blinds. Often, wallpaper does not have to be spent at all, as they remain after repair. But even if you buy an expensive roll of wallpaper, it will still cost much less.
  • No need for wet cleaning.
  • Ease of manufacture.
  • Easy to replace old or damaged paper curtains.
  • Easy to mount and remove from window.

However, the obvious disadvantage can be called a short service life, rapid wear. Wallpaper is likely to fade in the sun, which will soon lose its original appearance. Since they cannot be wiped with a damp sponge, if they are very dirty, they will simply need to be disposed of. Also, due to the fragility of the material, with careless handling, paper curtains can be very easily torn. This disadvantage can turn into a virtue if you like to change accents in the interior often.

Another disadvantage may be the cheap appearance of the product. Although in this case a lot depends on the quality and color of the wallpaper itself, the craftsmanship, and how harmoniously they fit into the design of the room.

Installation methods and work planning

To determine the desired size of the piece of wallpaper, you need to consider mounting options. Classic blinds can be mounted outside or inside the window opening.

  1. External fastening. The width of the roll should exceed the width of the opening by 10 cm. This mounting option is appropriate for a very narrow window sill.
  2. Internal fastening along the width of the window. In this case, the width of the wallpaper matches the width of the opening. This option is also convenient with a narrow window sill.
  3. Window frame fixing. In this case, the width of the paper roll must match (+/- 2 cm) with the width of the frame. This method of fastening is optimal for a wide window sill in order to maintain its functionality, and the most acceptable in the case of home-made paper wallpapers.

Installation options for classic blinds.

In our master class, we will consider how to make paper blinds step by step with fastening along the window frame. Therefore, at the planning stage, take the appropriate measurements of the window, compare the width of the opening with the width of the roll. If the window has non-standard dimensions, it may be more rational to make paper curtains from two segments.

Necessary materials and tools

To create budget, original blinds, you will need the following materials and tools:

  1. Roll of wallpaper.
  2. Roulette / ruler from 50 cm.
  3. A decorative cord or ribbon that matches the color of the wallpaper.
  4. Scissors.
  5. A piece of double sided tape.
  6. Fasteners.
  7. Hole punch (awl).

For the manufacture of blinds from wallpaper, only varieties of medium-weight paper are suitable. Vinyl wallpaper will be extremely difficult to bend and use.

Step-by-step production of paper curtains

When the measurements are taken, the plan is drawn up, and the tools and materials are at hand, you can start making blinds from wallpaper with your own hands, following the clear step-by-step instructions with photo examples.

  1. Mark the height of the window on the wallpaper, then add at least another 25% of this segment. Part of the extra length will go to the "accordion", the other part - to the mount.
  2. Draw strips of the future accordion up to 3-5 cm wide on a segment. If the width of the folds is greater, the curtains will look very untidy. The stripes must be perfectly even. Fold the accordion so that the entire segment turns into a narrow strip. Cut off the excess.
  3. Wallpaper accordion.

  4. Next, you need to make holes in the accordion. There can be two options here: for the manufacture of classic blinds, you need to make two holes at the edges of the roll, for the manufacture of a swag (a decorative element in the form of a “peacock tail”), you need to make one hole in the center of the wallpaper. Regardless of whether you make two or one hole, it should recede from the edge of the folds by at least 10 mm.
  5. Holes in accordion wallpaper.

    To punch a hole, it is advisable to use a special hole punch to get neat punctures and not bend / damage the paper. In everyday life, a hole punch is often replaced with an awl or a screwdriver, but in this case, you need to work very carefully so as not to bend the wallpaper.

    Using a screwdriver to pierce holes.

  6. You need to thread a string or ribbon through the hole. At the top edge, it is worth making a small reliable knot. The length of the cord after tying the knot should be equal to the length of the paper piece. Attach clips to the lower end and cut off the excess.
  7. Clamps can act as standard clips for ropes and cords, decorative clothespins, beads, paper clips and other devices. You can not use clamps at all, but fix the height of the blinds by tying decorative bows from a rope or ribbon.

    An example of fasteners for a blind cord.

  8. Glue double-sided tape to the upper edge of the paper piece (at the same time fixing the rope knot). The protective film on the other side of the adhesive tape does not need to be removed yet.
  9. If you want to make a decorative version with a fan at the bottom, you will need a piece of double-sided tape up to 20 cm long, the width should be less than the width of the accordion folds. The tape must be glued to one side of the lower fold, then remove the protective film and connect both halves of the accordion, as shown in the photo:
  10. Sticking double-sided tape on one side of the accordion fold.

    Gluing the accordion folds into a fan.

  11. In the final, it is necessary to tear off the second protective film from the adhesive tape at the upper edge of the structure and attach the curtains to the window sash.

During operation, the lower fold of the curtain (unless it is made in the form of a fan) will deform and deteriorate the fastest. To extend its life, you can glue a strip of cardboard to the bottom harmonica (before making holes). This will make the entire structure heavier, therefore, when raising the blinds, they will need to be additionally fixed with clothespins.

In general, the whole process consists of the steps shown in the illustration:

A quick way to make blinds

This option is suitable if you need to install temporary sun protection before buying store blinds or curtains, and aesthetics and decorativeness do not play a role. This is a variant of wallpaper blinds for the lazy, since it will take no more than 20 minutes to make it. You can remove and mount this structure as much as you like if necessary.

Required materials and tools:

  • wallpaper section (length = window height + 25%);
  • piece of cardboard;
  • double sided tape;
  • clothespins.

Description of the work in stages:

  1. You need to measure the height of the window, measure the desired length of the roll and add another 25% to this number.
  2. Fold the wallpaper into an accordion, similar to the previous option.
  3. The bottom fold of the accordion must be reinforced with cardboard using PVC glue, double-sided adhesive tape or a stapler.
  4. Attach double-sided tape to the upper fold of the accordion, remove the protective film from the other side and glue it to the sash of the double-glazed window.

At night, the blinds will hang freely down. In the daytime, the height of the blinds will need to be fixed with clothespins or clips.

Decorating blinds with wallpaper or paper

You can use the remnants of wallpaper not only for making blinds, but also for decorating ready-made window curtains. Blinds made of plastic, wood and bamboo are suitable as a "base". With the help of such a simple decor, you can transform an old, bored interior, hide defects on the blinds and add bright colors to the design of the room.

This decor option is suitable for blinds with a slat width of 5 cm or more.

Necessary tools and materials:

  • old blinds;
  • a roll of wallpaper or colored paper;
  • PVC glue or other for paper, brush;
  • pencil;
  • scissors;
  • ruler.

Step by step work:

The final look of the decorated blinds.

You can make blinds from wallpaper with your own hands together with the kids, because following the step-by-step instructions and tips in the photo, the whole process will be quick and fun. Homemade wallpaper blinds can be used for any room of the house, not only as a temporary solution, but also as permanent original window curtains.

In detail, the process of making blinds from paper wallpaper can be viewed on the video:

My article today will be interesting for 3 categories of people at once: those who would like to update the curtains on the windows, but it does not fit into their budget, those who are lazy to go shopping in search of suitable curtains, and for those who simply love to make all kinds of things by hand. I will not drag out the intrigue and immediately put all the cards on the table - we will talk about how to make blinds from wallpaper and ordinary newspapers. Yes, it is quite possible and I will tell you how.

Why would you be interested

So, when the first shock from the statement that interesting curtains can be made from wallpaper or newspapers has passed, I will tell you about this unusual decision in more detail.

Curtains made from improvised materials have some clear advantages:

  1. First, it is, of course, their price. The same blinds, even from expensive wallpapers, will cost less than a finished product in a store.

  1. Their creation takes no more than two hours of time. Agree, this is not so much.
  2. You have the opportunity to make several options for window framing at once and change them if desired without any extra financial costs.

  1. Making curtains with your own hands is exciting. You can involve someone from your family in such a creative process and have fun.

  1. If you decide to make blinds from high-quality wallpaper, then you do not have to worry about caring for them. Modern materials are treated with special impregnations that repel dust and dirt, so there will be no problems with cleaning.

You can’t expect durability from such drapery (after all, these are paper curtains). Already somewhere in a year you will have to replace the curtains with others. But it seems to me that this is not the biggest inconvenience for such a budget option.

Two master classes step by step

For you, my dear readers, I have selected two practical and uncomplicated master classes with which the creation of original blinds will not be difficult. Just prepare all the necessary tools and strictly follow the instructions. I'm sure you will succeed.

For wallpaper

To create curtains that you can say to your friends “designer, handmade”, you need to stock up on a few necessary tools:

  • A roll of paper wallpaper.

It is necessary to choose paper models, since vinyl or non-woven ones simply cannot curl up like an accordion.

  • Scissors, pencil and ruler to create the necessary drawings.
  • Shilom. In extreme cases, a hole punch will also work, but it will be more convenient to work with an awl.
  • Rope, the length of which should exceed the height of the window. If you are afraid for the decorative component, you can use a bright satin ribbon.

  • A latch with a limit switch, the color of which will look harmoniously with the wallpaper.
  • Glue or double sided tape.

If you prefer something really cute and exclusive, add two ribbons to the above accessories, the length of which is 2.5 times the length of the window. The width does not matter and is up to you.

It is easy to make roller blinds with your own hands - the master class is very simple to perform.

So, the instructions for creating blinds from ordinary wallpaper step by step:

  1. First of all, you need to calculate the height of the window. Add an extra 30 cm to it.

  1. Next comes the most important part of creating curtains - pleating.. It can be done by eye, but I would still recommend that you first draw the borders on the wallpaper. Draw even horizontal stripes along the material at a distance of 2.5-3 cm.

  1. Using a ruler, begin to fold the paper along the indicated lines. A pen or pencil will help fix the bends.

  1. Fold the resulting accordion into a pile, measure the middle of the improvised "lamellas" and make a hole in it. At this stage, it is better to heed my advice and use the awl. They can do it all at once. And when using a hole punch, the holes will have to be made alternately and on both sides.

  1. After that, take the reserved rope or tape, carefully thread it through the holes formed.
    If you picked up a rope made of synthetic material, then it is better to burn it a little right away, so it will be easier to thread through the holes.

  1. The end of the rope at the bottom "lamella" must be tied into a knot so that it simply does not jump out of the holes. At the top, it should either be left untouched in order to tie it to the end, or tied into a knot and cut off if you plan to glue the blinds directly to the cornice or to the window frame.
  2. To further modify the curtains, you can attach any solid base to the top lamella (plastic corner, thin rail, piece of cardboard). It will make it easier to attach the curtains to the window.
  3. Glue the retainer to the bottom of the blinds (or rather, to the tip of the rope) and assemble the curtain to the desired level. You can fix the result with double-sided tape.

Blinds are an expensive pleasure, for which not everyone can quickly allocate funds from the family budget. But sometimes their presence is necessary - the sun's rays strive to get into your room. An affordable way to make original roller blinds yourself is to buy wallpaper or find an old roll in your closet. Using ordinary wallpaper, you can make exclusive blinds that will decorate your interior, protect from the sun and save money.

Benefits of wallpaper roller blinds

If you doubt that do-it-yourself wallpaper roller blinds will look no worse than store blinds, then check out the advantages of such an idea:

  • Saving. The price of good blinds in the store is from 2000 rubles, depending on the size and material. You can make a paper version by spending about 300 rubles on tools. The service life of homemade roller blinds will be lower, but even an annual replacement will be much more profitable.
  • Stylish decoration element. Choose beautiful wallpapers that will fit into the overall interior of your room. You can make a unique design that will look advantageous in any room. All your guests will definitely pay attention to it.
  • Protection. Homemade blinds will perform their main function - to protect the room from sunlight, the views of strangers.
  • Ease of manufacture. It will take you about two to three hours to make paper blinds.
  • Ease of maintenance. You can purchase washable wallpapers that are wiped with a damp cloth.
  • The ability to install blinds on any windows: wooden, plastic or aluminum.

How to make blinds at home

In order not to be distracted by shopping trips during the manufacturing process and not to make a mistake, immediately familiarize yourself with the principle of operation. Prepare all the tools in advance. If you doubt that you can cope alone, call for help. Take all the necessary measurements and start creating original roller blinds that will delight you for at least a year.

Tools and materials

Most likely you will find all the materials at home, and you do not have to go to the store:

  • Wallpaper. You can use leftover wallpaper or buy new ones. The material of the wallpaper is dense, so it is perfect as a sun protection mechanism.
  • Meter ruler, centimeter, pencil - will be needed for measurement.
  • Sharp scissors, stationery knife.
  • An awl to pierce holes. Can be replaced with another sharp object, such as a hole punch.
  • Lace, string, or decorative ribbon if you want to decorate your blinds.
  • Retainer to secure the blinds. An element of clothing, which is often found on the laces of a sweatshirt hood, is suitable as a retainer. In addition, the latch can be replaced with a small clothespin that matches the color of the wallpaper or the overall style of the room.
  • Double sided tape.
  • Glue.

Roller blind size

Once you have all the supplies you need, start measuring your windows and curtains. Measure the length and width of the glass to which you plan to attach the blinds. The width of the curtain will be the same as that of the window, but the length should be different - additional centimeters are needed for wrinkling. To do this, add a quarter of this number to the obtained value of the glass length. For example, if the length of the window is 1000 mm, then add another 250 mm - this will be the length of your canvas.

Accessories for roller blinds

Properly selected fittings will make the curtain easy to use and create an attractive appearance. As accessories you can choose:

  • Cornice. Act as an interior decoration. Such accessories are expensive, suitable for a living room or bedroom. If you have small windows and want to visually expand the space, then choose cornices 30-40 cm wider than the window. You can also hang a cornice just above the window opening.
  • Runners, hooks. Economical, simple option for the kitchen. You will not have problems with the choice of runners - they are all the same in terms of the method of attachment. You will only have to decide on the appearance.
  • Brackets, chains. The chain mechanism is very convenient to operate and is popular. Brackets - a solid structure on which the shaft is mounted. If the blinds are made of thick wallpaper, then it is better to choose long brackets.
  • Ropes. The rope mechanism is inexpensive and easy to perform: to do this, sew rings to the side panels, pass the threads through them. Attach them to the bottom of the curtain.
  • Weights. They serve as a weighting agent. Such a decorative accessory will allow you to focus on the entire roll structure. All models have a different color, shape, size, style, so you can choose the right option for your blinds.
  • Additional accessories: handles, decorative strips, other details.

Mechanism types

There are two types of mounting roller blinds: open and closed:

  1. With the open type, the cassette shaft is visible, on which the web is wound. The shaft is attached between two holders. This type of mechanism will allow you to fix the curtains above the window opening and in the opening itself. You can control wallpaper curtains using a spring mechanism or a chain. Double-sided tape can act as a fixative. The disadvantage of this design is that the adhesive layer can melt during the heat. Therefore, it is better to use self-tapping screws or screws. An open type of fastening is a budget option that is available to anyone.
  2. The closed type differs from the first one in the presence of a box that masks the cassette shaft, protects it from dust and dirt, and gives the structure a neat appearance. Such a system is suitable for plastic, wooden and aluminum windows. The system can only be mounted with an inclination of 15°. The closed type of mechanism is more difficult to perform and more expensive than the open type. Installation is carried out by drilling the frame. The control method can be by means of a chain, a spring mechanism or an electric drive. The latter allows you to adjust the degree of illumination remotely using the remote control.

Accessories set

In order to install paper curtains with your own hands, you will need the following components:

  • plastic or metal box, its guide element;
  • plugs for the box;
  • chain, if a manual mechanism is provided;
  • connecting elements for the chain;
  • brackets;
  • a clip that will fix the roller blinds at any distance;
  • adhesive tape (double-sided tape), holders, supports for attaching the shaft to the ceiling;
  • bracket-clamp, if a spring mechanism is provided.

DIY wallpaper curtains - step by step instructions

If you decide to decorate your apartment with homemade blinds, then a detailed master class on how to make roller blinds from wallpaper is described below:

  1. Removal of window measurements. Carefully calculate the parameters of the window using a centimeter. When calculating the height of the curtain, do not forget to add a quarter of the total height of the window.
  2. Preparing and cutting a roll of wallpaper.
    • Free the table from unnecessary items, spread the wallpaper. The edges may curl, so put something heavy on them. Mark the desired canvas markings.
    • After that, it is necessary to mark the canvas for the size of the folds. The optimal width of the stripes is from 3 to 5 cm. To make the stripes even, connect the lines with a ruler and a pencil. There is a more complicated way to make strips, by cutting them.
    • Assemble the curtain into an "accordion" along the lines using the edge of the ruler.
    • Once the accordion is ready, find the middle of the blinds and make a hole with an awl or hole punch. If another model is chosen, then make two holes along the edges of the blinds, stepping back 15 cm.
    • Thread a cord or rope through the hole you made. Melt the ends of the rope in advance. Fasten the lower part of the rope in the latch, leaving a tail of 4-5 cm - there will be a margin to stretch the curtain in length. Extra centimeters can be tied in a knot or bow. Secure the rope to the top fold of the curtain with tape. Glue double-sided tape on the same fold - there will be a mount to the window.
    • To make the design more reliable, you can use a wooden rail. The upper edge of the wallpaper is glued to it, and a cord is threaded through the holes made.
    • If the model has a rope in the middle, then the lower part of the curtains can be fixed in the form of a fan. To do this, pull the rope down, and fasten the lowered edges together with glue, double-sided tape or a decorative clothespin. The result is a nice design.
    • Put on a latch with one opening on the rope. Pull the latch up to raise the shade. To close the window back - lower the mount down the rope.

  1. Edge processing. To make the curtains last as long as possible, reinforce the edges of the wallpaper with self-adhesive tape or tape.
  2. Fixation of the upper edge in the roller mechanism. Roller blinds are fixed with adhesive tape on the plastic window frame. In addition, you can screw in screws or hooks. If you want to fix the blinds on the wall, then use the screws. Below you can hang special magnets that will not allow the bottom edge to hang out.
  3. Mounting the cornice with a curtain in the window opening. If there is a cornice in the package, then you need to know a few nuances about its fastening:
    • The distance from the side walls to the eaves may vary depending on the type of construction.
    • If the curtains turned out to be light, then they can be fixed above the window. If you hang weighting elements and the blinds turn out to be voluminous, then it is better to attach the eaves to the wall.
    • Place the cornice so that it does not interfere with the process of opening and closing the window. Fasten it a few centimeters above the window opening.
    • On the wall, mark the places where the holes for the eaves will be drilled. Fasten the short cornice to two brackets. If the cornice is long, then it is better to install an additional bracket in the center.
  4. Fastening decorative weighting elements along the bottom edge of the curtain. It is better to fix the lower edge of the curtain so that it becomes more reliable and does not bend. To do this, glue the cardboard on the wrong side. The end of the rope or the bottom fold can be decorated with a decorative weight.

Blinds are versatile mechanical curtains that are suitable for any room. In addition, they will help out perfectly if the apartment is being renovated, but you don’t want to hang windows with old newspapers. In this case, you need to definitely make blinds from wallpaper. With their own hands, they are built for a couple of minutes, they serve for a long time, and it’s not a pity to throw them away if they suddenly get dirty.

paper curtains

As curtains, and even whole partitions, paper began to be used in ancient China. There, this material was relatively accessible and inexpensive. Our mothers and grandmothers also made paper curtains. True, they took old newspapers for this, since they were not yet aware of how to make blinds from wallpaper with their own hands. So the whole yard knew which apartment was being renovated.

Today, paper blinds are not only a temporary necessity. They can be a great decorative element. This is doable if you take beautiful paper as a basis or make a special painting on it with artistic paints.

In any case, it is easy to make the basis for the blinds from the wallpaper with your own hands. Step-by-step instructions for the whole process are illustrated with photographs, so even a child can handle the work. And you can decorate with such curtains both a balcony or a kitchen, as well as a living room with a bedroom.

Preparatory stage

Before you start making blinds from wallpaper with your own hands, you need to prepare all the tools and materials. For this work you will need: a roll of wallpaper, double-sided adhesive tape, a hole punch, string, scissors and a ruler.

First you need to measure the size of the glass. These curtains are made the same width or slightly wider. Therefore, 2-3 stripes will hang on one window, depending on how many vertical sectors are allocated in the frame.

Next, calculate the length of one strip. It should be much larger, because the paper is folded like an accordion, and a beautiful fan is formed at the bottom. It is better to take with a small margin and then cut off than to redo the entire strip due to the fact that it is a bit short.

The last action of the preparatory stage is cutting blanks according to the calculated dimensions. This should be done carefully so that neat blinds hang on the windows, and not bits of paper.

We work with an accordion

This stage of work is given special attention, because without it it is impossible to create blinds from wallpaper with your own hands. Step by step we mark the places of future bends. A ruler is perfect for this purpose. Or, as an option, take some kind of wide strip that perfectly matches the width of the folds, and, applying it to the previous mark, mark both long sides.

Make sure that the marks are strictly opposite each other, and then the bend lines are parallel to the short side.

We begin to form folds. This is where the most difficult moment begins in creating blinds from wallpaper with your own hands. The master class suggests, to facilitate the work, use a ruler or rail, along which to make the initial bend, and only then iron it more clearly. The result should be a neat accordion that easily folds and stretches.

We make a lifting mechanism

We have almost created blinds from wallpaper with our own hands. The step-by-step process guide further leads us to the point of designing a simple system that will allow the curtain to be assembled when the need arises.

We fold the accordion and find its center. In this place, a hole is made with a hole punch through which the lace is passed. At one end of the accordion, it is fixed with a knot, after re-threading it into the extreme hole. This will be the top of our blinds.

In the lower part, we attach a special lock-clip on a spring to the lace. You can use the old one left over from a worn jacket or tracksuit, or you can buy a new one at a sewing store. For now, the creation of blinds from wallpaper with our own hands is almost over, the master class of which we analyze in detail. The next steps are already related to decorating and attaching to the window.

Final stage

When the do-it-yourself wallpaper blinds are almost completed, you need to add a little zest to them. This will be a beautiful semi-circular fan-shaped bottom. It is obtained as follows.

We glue double-sided tape on one of the halves of the blinds from the hole to the edge. Then we bend the other half to it and iron it well. They need to be securely attached to each other. For this, it is best to use a stapler. We release the edges, and they themselves form a beautiful semicircular fan. If desired, it can be corrected by ironing fuzzy folds.
