In order to make a cross we need:

To create the simplest cross for a Christmas tree, it is best to take a pine board, it is best to take a thickness of 2 cm.

Thanks to the inclination of the holes taken into account in advance, when assembling the cross, a trapezoid-shaped hole will be obtained for the reliability of fastening the tree trunk.
We assemble the cross with a screwdriver and screws.

In order for the crosspiece not to stagger and for the middle to be higher than the edges, we fill small fiberboard plates on the edges of the legs, securing them with a stapler.

Inserting the tree trunk into the cross, additionally wedging it with the remaining scraps of the board, if necessary, you can fix the trunk with frost for stability.

The New Year's holiday will not turn out to be “beautiful” if the room is left without a decorated Christmas tree. Maximum security can be achieved by assembling a cross from four identical pieces of board, knocked down in a special way. It should not be bulky, so the bars need to be prepared small. It is enough to cut a board 7 cm wide into four segments of 30-40 centimeters. The thickness of the board should not be more than 2 cm, so as not to weigh down the cross.

Stability will provide a properly assembled design, and not the massiveness of the material. When assembling the cross, the first two bars must be placed in parallel on the long end. The distance between these extreme elements should be equal to the length of the bar, that is, 400 mm. One liner is fixed with nails thoroughly, and the other is fixed with screws in pre-drilled holes. There should be several options. This will allow you to fix the butt of different thicknesses. The movable liner can be moved, taking into account the diameter of the spruce trunk. For even greater stability, if the trunk of the Christmas tree turned out to be thinner than the “nest”, a wedge can be used between the inner bars to insert it into the resulting void. The cross is obtained in a small size, so you can store it until the next holiday in assembled form.

Found. But since I promised to show a couple of options for installing a Christmas tree in a hurry, I'll have to make a new one. This is a simple matter, but you never know, maybe someone will come in handy.

Option one. Cross.

The crosspiece, in my understanding, should be of such a design that it would hold the Christmas tree in the presence of randomly moving objects in the house, such as dogs, cats, children, drunken relatives. The only way to knock her down was to fall flat on her stool. You can make a reliable cross with straight arms and a minimum of tools in an hour. With experience - half an hour maximum. In general, according to the mind, the cross is made every time for a specific Christmas tree. She throws herself out with her.

What is needed for this?

Some kind of wooden base. Anything will do, a board, a bar, picket fence from a neighbor's fence. Last year, I bombed a pallet that accidentally turned up in the yard. It didn't turn out pretty, but it was reliable.

This time the base will be such a 5x4 bar.

To be honest, it should be wider. The wider the beam, the more securely it holds the tree. But what is, is what it is.

We determine the place where the boards will intersect. In our case, we measure 22.5 cm from the end of each board.

We do the same with the second board: we measure 22.5 cm from the end and mark it.

We impose boards along the marking lines, and check the accuracy of the fit with a square.

We connect the crosspiece with four screws or self-tapping screws.

We apply cross markings to determine the center into which the main rotor will be screwed or a wide through hole will be drilled.

Drill a pilot hole.

For small Christmas trees, a 120 mm through screw will suffice. If desired, a wide through hole of the required diameter can be made with a pen drill; a depth of 5 cm is enough for the tree trunk to be firmly located in the cross.

Glue the felt pads. They will protect the floor from scratches and add stability to the cross.

The next project is a simpler, but no less reliable version of the Christmas tree stand. The uncomplicated cross, assembled from four boards without unnecessary joints, will provide a stable support for a tree of any size. Using a board with an uncut edge, the traditional question: how to close the cross - will disappear by itself. A lively edge will add a decorative touch to this uncomplicated design, and make it a natural extension of the Christmas tree. After the holidays, the elements of the cross can be easily disassembled and stored until next year.

From a pre-prepared board with one planed edge, we cut 4 blanks of the same length. We focus on the size of the Christmas tree: the larger it is, the longer the boards will be needed.

We drill guide holes in the faces and ends of the workpieces, which will avoid splitting when tightening the screws.

We assemble the structure on a flat plane and tighten it with screws. We drill a pilot hole for the screw, which will fix the tree trunk.

A simple and expressive style cross is ready.

The third project is a simple and stable wooden stand that can be adjusted to any barrel diameter. The crosspiece consists of three supporting elements. The optimal length of each part is 250 mm. In the face of each of them, two parallel grooves are milled. The ends of the boards are cut at an angle of 60 °, and shallow pilot holes are drilled in them for screws with wide washers.
