Overwatch: completing the "Mutiny" mission on Legendary difficulty. There's a Mutiny in Overwatch

The Overwatch Rebellion patch added a completely new co-op to the game. In the updated version of the King's Row map, there are two different versions of this arcade challenge that you can solve - one where you are limited to using Tracer, Angel, Reinhardt and Torbjorn, and another where you can mix up the heroes as you wish.

While the normal difficulty setting shouldn't give you too much trouble - and we definitely recommend choosing it your first time - the advanced difficulty settings can turn this into an extremely frenetic series of shootouts. Legendary is the hardest option and will give even the most capable players a chance to shine.

This advanced guide is intended to complete the mutiny in this most difficult situation, but the recommendations, of course, boil down to complex tasks. Generally speaking, you should be worried about higher health and stronger damage, not different enemy waves.

It's based on a video put together by the talented team at the Your Overwatch YouTube channel, and we encourage you to watch the video we've embedded as it will make it much easier to follow. It's also worth subscribing to them as they produce a constant stream of top-notch Overwatch content.

Legendary Mutiny: Team Composition

First of all, this is the command configuration. In the video we're highlighting, it's important to note that the team is switching Tracer to Bastion. She's super squishy and he's a constant source of constant damage, making it a very smart switch. Angel should give Bastion a damage boost whenever possible, but you know, don't let people die...

Legendary Mutiny: Hacking Defense Systems

At the first point, Bastion can park with a view of both doors and shoot at approaching enemies. The same applies to the second point, where you can park on top of the terminal, face the enemies and simply kill the attackers while the team helps as best they can. Just keep an eye on the activity around you and be prepared to adjust your goals accordingly.

At the third and final point, simply stand on the terminal and kill the attackers as they approach. Torbjorn can position his turret along one side to catch flanking attackers, while Reinhardt can use Flame Strike to clear smaller waves - just remember to protect those who need it ASAP if you're playing as a tank .

Legendary Mutiny: Cargo Protection

When positioning for the load protection phase, Bastion on top and slightly to the side of the load is the most useful option to ensure you have a clear perspective to deal with the spawns. Torbjorn can place his tower near the telephone box, so it has a good focus on Bastion when he appears in that corner opposite.

Always focus the spherical detonators as they will deal massive damage to the cargo if they hit. When the first Bastion appears directly in front of the cargo, everyone should rush in and deal damage as quickly as possible. When the second Bastion comes, you may need to use an ultimate or two to control the carnage. Otherwise, just keep priorities on bastions whenever they appear and focus detonators if necessary.

Legendary Mutiny: Cargo Transfer

At this point, it is vital that you constantly check 180 degrees for surprise attacks. Stick to the load and ensure that it does not suffer any harm for a long period of time. Your priority targets here will be Bastions in Tank mode. Note that one appears from the subway as you go around the last corner and approach the checkpoint - it's hard to focus when it appears.

Legendary Rebellion: Surviving the Final Stage

Place Reinhardt to block the entrance, then kill the first Orisa as quickly as possible. When she's dead, move to the right wall and take out Bastion as quickly as possible. Mastering these two things quickly will make the rest of this section much easier.

Take a quick look at the corner at the finish line and you'll see another Orisa unit. Try to move her away from the right position on the wall, with Reinhardt protecting the gap you're looking at. Once it falls, go along the opposite wall and take out the other Bastion that is opposite you.

Then move to the left side and prepare to fight the last couple of Orisa units. Crawl along this edge, looking out to deal with any enemy units that you can safely kill from a position of relative safety.

On Legendary difficulty. History of the event, classification of enemies, general recommendations and detailed tactics for playing as Tracer, Torbjorn, Reinhardt and Angel.

Story

We go seven years into the past, when a group of omnic terrorists, Sector Zero, rebelled and took hostages in one of the areas of London - King's Row. An Overwatch unit consisting of Tracer, Torbjorn, Reinhardt and Angel must quell the rebellion and free the hostages. To solve the task, they will need to hack three terminals that control anti-aircraft guns, escort the cargo to the factory gates and clear it of all aggressive robots located there.

Enemies

  • Stormtroopers- ordinary humanoid omnics. They have a weak ranged attack and are only dangerous in large concentrations if the team is concentrating its efforts on higher priority targets. The weak point is the head. They die with one burst of Tracer's pulse pistols.
  • Lancets- miniature dog-like omnics whose main goal is to destroy cargo. Easily destroyed by the alt fire of Torbjorn's Nailgun and Reinhardt's Rocket Hammer.
  • Liquidators— dangerous omnics with a strong ranged attack and Energy barriers. Have a vulnerable power core on the back while using the barrier and on the head when the barrier is destroyed. The easiest way to destroy a Tracer is from the back or with the help of Reinhardt's Dash.
  • Detonators- large spherical bombs that explode a couple of seconds after contact with the cargo. The easiest way is to isolate the exploding Detonator from the cargo with Reinhardt's Energy Barrier or take it away while preparing for the explosion using Dash.
  • Bastions in turret mode- extremely dangerous omnics with a strong ranged attack. They have a vulnerable power core on their back. The easiest way to destroy a Tracer is from the back or with the help of Reinhardt's Dash. If possible, use Reinhardt's Earthquake or Tracer's Pulse Bomb on them.
  • Bastions in tank mode- even more dangerous omnics with a strong attack. If possible, use Reinhardt's Earthquake or Tracer's Pulse Bomb on them.
  • OR-14- slow omnics, they can install force barriers on the ground and use a graviton charge that pulls together and slows down players. The weak point is the head.

Using Flash, Tracer can move behind the Eliminators and quickly destroy their Energy Barriers with a burst into the vulnerable power core. Additionally, the Energy Barrier is destroyed after being hit by Reinhardt's Charge.
Sometimes it is worth waiting until Torbjorn accumulates spare parts to create armor sets for the team before starting the next phase.
Omnics can be shot while they are getting out of their descent capsules and brought into combat mode. Even Angel can shoot them with his blaster.
During manual resurrection, it is better to hide behind Reinhardt's Energy Barrier. Torbjorn can use Overheat to resurrect without the risk of being quickly killed.

Passing tactics

Phase 1 (Hack #1)

This is obviously the easiest phase, even on Legendary difficulty.

  • Tracer: Can usually be located on the stairs or near the main entrance behind Reinhardt's Energy Barrier.
  • Torbjorn: Installs his turret near the terminal. From there, he can kill omnics who entered the garage from the stairs, and from the main entrance, if one of them passes by Reinhardt and Tracer.
  • Reinhardt: Covers the main entrance, protecting the team with an Energy Barrier or destroying clusters of omnics.
  • Angel: Provides support to the team while standing between the main entrance and Torbjorn's position.

Phase 2 (Hack #2)

This phase is a little more difficult than the first, but with coordinated actions of the team it is quite easy to complete. If necessary, you can hide in the building near the terminal while Reinhardt's Energy Barrier is recharging.

  • Tracer: It is located closer to the entrance to the cathedral and destroys stormtroopers and liquidators with shields that appear from the back. If necessary, returning to the terminal to heal or destroy the omnics that appeared there.
  • Torbjorn: Installs his turret near the terminal. Provides armor sets to Angel and Tracer. Monitors omnics entering from the opposite side of the cathedral.
  • Reinhardt: Protects Angel and Torbjorn near the terminal with an Energy Barrier. Can use Earthquake on the emerging Liquidator.
  • Angel: Provides support to allies while near the terminal.

Phase 3 (Hack #3)

Proceed to hack terminal No. 3 only when all omnics of the previous phase have already been destroyed. A group of omnics in front of the cathedral entrance are quickly destroyed by Tracer's Pulse Bomb.

  • Tracer: It is located on the stairs and helps destroy omnics at the main entrance to the cathedral. The priority target is Liquidators, on whom the Pulse Bomb can be used when ready.
  • Torbjorn: Protects the main entrance to the cathedral by placing a turret near it at the top of the left balcony. Provides armor sets to Angel and Tracer. If desired, he can install a turret near one of the protective structures near the terminal. Uses Overheat when several Liquidators appear in range.
  • Reinhardt: Protects Angel and Torbjorn with an Energy Barrier near the terminal or holds the main entrance to the cathedral on the left side. If possible, use Dash on the Liquidators and Fire Strike on the clusters of omnics at the main entrance.
  • Angel: Located in the terminal area and increases damage dealt to Reinhardt or Tracer. If necessary, uses Resurrection, since it will have time to recover by the next phase.

Phase 4 (Escort #1)

One of the most difficult phases in the mode. It is necessary to protect the cargo from omnic attacks until it is ready for shipment. The main danger in the fourth phase is represented by Bastions in turret mode. The team should concentrate all efforts on destroying them as quickly as possible, using Reinhardt's Charge and Earthquake or Tracer's Pulse Bomb. In the interval between the appearance of Bastions, ultimate abilities should have time to recover.
Detonators appear when there is still time left in the phase 2:50 , 2:30 And 0:20 . Bastions appear when there is still time left before the end of the phase 1:50 , 1:30 And 0:20 . At the end of the phase, the strength of the load should be approximately 50-75%, this should be enough for phase 4.

  • Tracer: Moves and clears the right arched passage and the left passage near the anti-aircraft gun of phase 2 (future pedestal and monument to Tekhart Mondatta) from omnics. The Pulse Bomb should always be ready to destroy Bastions. The priority targets are Stormtroopers and Liquidators, Lancets are the care of Torbjorn and are destroyed only if there are no other targets. If possible, it is necessary to remain in the line of sight of the Angel.
  • Torbjorn: Installs his turret on a platform with a load, near a car or on a balcony on the left side (from the anti-aircraft gun side of phase 2). If the turret is placed on a balcony, it will be necessary to use Overheat to repair it. Destroy the Lancets near the cargo with the alternative fire of the Nailgun, and the Stormtroopers and Liquidators with the main fire. When Bastion appears, concentrate your fire on it.
  • Reinhardt: Mainly protects Torbjorn and his turret near the cargo. When Bastion appears, he uses Dash and Earthquake, and the exploding Detonator is fenced off from the cargo with an Energy Barrier or taken away using Dash.
  • Angel: It is located behind the Reinhardt Energy Barrier near the cargo or in the area of the doorway opposite the cargo. If possible, enhances Tracer's damage. Use Resurrection wisely, for example, if Tracer died away from the team or several people were killed at once, but it is better to return one Torbjorn to the battle in manual mode under the cover of Reinhardt.

Phase 4 (Escort #2)

Quite a difficult phase. The main danger will be posed by Bastions in tank mode. In this phase, it is preferable to keep everyone together, hiding behind Reinhardt’s Energy Barrier.

  • Tracer: If possible, it is necessary to stay behind Reinhardt's Energy Barrier, since without Torbjorn's armor set, Bastion in tank mode can kill in one hit.
  • Torbjorn: Installs his turret on a mobile platform with a load. In this phase, more attention should be paid to the destruction of omnics with your own hands, being distracted by repairing the turret only during short breaks.
  • Reinhardt: Protects allies with an Energy Barrier. At this phase, the barrier is especially critical, since Bastions in tank mode are capable of killing the entire team in a matter of seconds. In addition, during this phase it will be necessary to isolate several Detonators from the cargo with an Energy Barrier or take away several Detonators using a Dash.
  • Angel: Supports allies by healing them and increasing Tracer's damage. Use Resurrection if several people are killed at once.

Phase 5 (Final Battle)

The most difficult phase of the mode. In this phase, you must destroy 4 OR-14 omnics in 4 minutes.
A special trick to passing this phase is that the first omnic OR-14 must be moved using the Reinhardt Dash outside the plant through the destroyed gate. When the OR-14 is behind you, you can begin clearing the room of Bastions in turret mode. The first Bastion in turret mode in the right passage is destroyed very quickly by joint efforts. Next, the team moves to the second Bastion in the left passage, which can be dealt with by one Tracer, jumping out from around the corner and unloading her pulse pistols into it. Then, with joint efforts, the distant Bastion is destroyed. After this, you can begin to destroy OR-14. In addition, Bastions will periodically appear in tank mode. It is necessary to switch to them, hide behind Reinhardt's Energy Barrier, use Earthquake and other ultimate abilities.

  • Tracer: Destroys omnics and tries to survive the attacks of the Bastions in tank mode behind Reinhardt's Energy Barrier. It is better to use a pulse bomb on Bastions in tank mode, since OR-14s do not pose much of a threat, and Bastions in turret mode without cover are destroyed quickly enough. In addition, it is advisable to have the Torbjorn armor set, as it reduces the effectiveness of Bastions' normal attacks in turret mode.
  • Torbjorn: Mainly turns into an attacking character. There will be practically no time to build a turret and upgrade it to the second level. You may have to use Overheat even without a turret to destroy Bastions or revive allies under fire.
  • Reinhardt: Protects allies with an Energy Barrier. It is better to use the dash only on Bastions and OR-14.
  • Angel: Provides support to allies by healing them and increasing Tracer's damage, especially when she destroys Bastions.

As everyone probably guessed, we will now talk about the next Overwatch event that has started 11 April In the evening. Yes, yes, I'm a little over a week late with this blog, but for good reason. Work, Bayonetta Nier study of the subject and a small amount of boring perfectionism do not allow me to immediately, in the first days, “shoot” the blog section with my writings when good news is released. Almost completed, “huge plans” to restart the GI chronicle for CKII are idle for the same reasons. Well, let's not talk about the bad, but let's go back to Overwatch. Many will immediately ask - What is the date? There seem to be no holidays in April, but events are triggered. What's the matter anyway? But the fact is that the developers once again listened to the tears and grumbling of the players, who kept asking about the plot, they say, you don’t have a plot, in general everything about you is banal and, somehow, little is known. Because of this, the authors decided to launch the idea of story events not tied to specific dates. And “Mutiny” is the first of them.

According to rumors, such story events will be a frequent occurrence this year. And I think that's a good idea. There are few holidays, but people need to be ruined to entertain them. I would like to note right away that the event began in a rather original way. Arriving home in the evening, I sat in a chair, threw my head back, launched BattleNet... Although no, BattleNet no longer exists... which means I sat in a chair and launched Blizzard and got ready to relax. The big update loaded without any problems, I stretched my hands, but I was alarmed that my entire list of friends was not in the game! After talking with a couple of people, I found out that the servers, it turns out, decided to simply go to sleep and the game simply does not work. And for quite a long time. There was nothing to do, I had to wait while sitting on Steam. And I’ll say right away - it was worth it.

The event package includes the standard set - new things for characters, a new brawl and changes in the balance of heroes and battles. All these joys fall out of Mutiny Containers.

By the way, something has been tweaked here again and new things can drop as many as 3 pieces.

But hurry up - all this stuff will only drop for a limited time as usual. Namely until May 2.

I’ll start, as usual, by examining the skins, but I probably won’t write too much about them, but will pay more attention to the brawl. Almost all of them managed to watch them in the video above and there won’t be any surprise. As I understand it, Blizzard at least tries to listen to the players sometimes. After a flurry of discontent about the whole Christmas, the Chinese New Year came, which restored faith in the best. Now they apparently decided to raise the bar higher in all respects. Namely, as for skins, I didn’t see such a thing as “repainting”. All skins are unique and well drawn. Well, unless you count Bastion....

Widowmaker received what seems to me to be the best original “Claw” skin of all. She is guaranteed a show at Paris Fashion Week.

Well, Mercy takes third place in my taste. Or Angel. Whoever likes it. Combat medic suit...I would give anything to get one for myself.

And with your permission, I would like to finish this with skins, since in this event they are not the focus. If you need details, there are private messages or comments. And I can’t wait to talk about the new brawl. The plot is this - players go back 7 years into the past when it was still light on the streets and Overwatch ruled everywhere. People and omnics in London seem to be starting to be friends, building a normal society, but then a group of omnic separatists called “Null Sector” suddenly appears and seizes the familiar area of Kings Row, starting riots from there.

The purpose of the mission, as everyone understood, was to suppress the rebellion and restore order in London. Reindhart (a lieutenant for on-site command), Angel (a combat medic), Torbjorn (a technology specialist) and, well, poor, with one kick’s health, Tracer, who is the only one who knows the city and was sent with everyone to lead the squad along convenient paths, were sent on missions . It so happened that this became her first task and the brawl allows us to learn a little about how and what Overwatch lived and what served as one or another catalyst for famous events.

The mission begins with a small squad entering a captured area through the metro, where they are informed that everything here has been captured and they need to complete several objectives on the map. This is already interesting because we are accustomed to the fact that we have to simply shoot everyone and do the same thing. Immediately, enemies come endlessly and there are many of them. Forget about 6v6 battles where you kill the enemy and he won’t be around for 5 seconds. Another, or even two, comes running/flying in his place.

First you need to hack 3 points to disable the guns that interfere with air traffic.

At the first point, the “Null Sector” will consist of 1 type of enemy. This is the easy part, the enemies have no shields, are very vulnerable and so on. At the second and third points, the enemy becomes stronger by adding grenade launchers with shields. The problem begins at the second stage when the squad turns off all the guns and Torbjorn’s explosive cart is thrown from the sky, which must be protected and quickly delivered to the gates of the power plant in order to damnably turn off all the power to the terrorists. The difficulty is that Torbjorn did everything so brilliantly that the cart will only take 5 minutes to repair and start. And at this time, “Null Sector” will use all its strength to destroy the players and the cart.

Here, in addition to the usual robot shooters and grenade launchers, bastions are added that go into machine gun mode, detonators (large balls with a lot of health that fly to the cart and cause a lot of damage to everything around), small harmful robots with lasers that will cut the cart into pieces in 1 minute and many other. And all this against 4 players! But when the cart starts moving, you shouldn’t relax. Since enemies in the same composition will crawl out from everywhere all the way. And the bastions will now follow the squad in tank mode! There was no sadness. As for me, the goal is to keep the team alive rather than watching the cart. She will be stronger

By the way, after a player dies, a timer starts during which he can be revived. Although there is an Angel in the squad who can resurrect everyone, this ability should not be wasted, but it is better to run up and lift an ally manually. But you shouldn’t delay reviving either, since the game won’t continue after death.

and the deceased will not sit in spectator mode watching everyone. And it will immediately end in defeat. There should be four in the squad. And strangely enough, this does not concern Livers. In battle, someone may come out and, please, move on with three/two/one without fire support, tank cover, or even without a medic. The system for connecting players already during the battle does not work here, unfortunately.

And then the cart reaches the gates of the King's Row power station, detonates and opens the passage.

There, the authors were in earnest because they set the goal of killing 4 Oris “Null Sectors”. Those who place shields, use special abilities and generally do whatever you want. Bastions sit in the corners in machine gun mode and shoot down the passages. But this was not enough for the sadistic developers and they also inserted bastions in the mode of tanks that arrive either from the front or from behind. By the way, in the first days of the brawl there were not many bastion tanks and there was a bug in which it was possible to “break the script” and enemies would not appear from everywhere. After the recent patch, enemies cannot be stopped, but additional bastions have been added. Clearly someone is taking revenge on the players

At the last stage, the only thing that saves you is a planned attack and walking together, so there is a greater chance of surviving and quickly killing the enemy by attacking him again together from all sides. Well, if everything is done correctly, the squad will be waiting for this sweet inscription...

Finally, I will say that not everything is so scary. Still, these 4 heroes are not simple and each has special abilities. Rine knocks everyone down, Tracer throws a bomb, and the dwarf overheats himself and his turret. An angel heals and resurrects something. At the first 2 levels, a beginner and a fighter can even go through it together. But Expert and Legend require coordination and 4 people. I also advise you to get used to the phrase “Tracer Down!” (Tracer Down in the Russian version. It is understood both ways). You will hear it often, believe me. For those who want to have fun, there is the same mode, but with all the heroes. Recruit all tanks and medic? Please. Are Morrison, Ana and Rice sitting somewhere in the original? You can take them and put them into battle. There's no point in sitting around and chilling.

For me the event was a great success. As I already mentioned, the developers still haven’t lost their conscience and didn’t continue to give players meager things like 6 vs 6 Mei and a bunch of recolored skins or something like that for crazy money. Here they clearly took up the plot. I would really like to see something about Junkrat and Pig, Widow, Reaper and Sombra and other personalities from “Claw”. But I think we won't have to wait long.

Of the changes that arrived with this event I can only highlight a few. The collection now displays character backgrounds and information about some skins related to the game's universe. The reporting system with a detailed description of complaints has been changed. Now it’s more convenient to complain, no matter how strange it sounds. In the ranking For maps in the “Capture Points” and “Capture Points” / “Escort” modes, a new counter has been added that takes into account the progress of capture. This will avoid draws. Now, if no team has captured the object, the winner will be the team that has made the most progress in attempting to capture it. But a couple of days ago I found out that this system will be changed again, since now one of the parties is in a losing position. For example, if the enemy did not allow you to capture a point at all, then he only has to enter it for at least a fraction of a second, scattering the enemy, and he automatically wins. According to rumors, many have learned to use Sombra to be cunning like this - to run into a point in the commotion unseen and that’s all. Also the most important What I heard just recently is that the famous losers and winstreaks finally want to be removed from the rankings. And do more and more towards personal contribution. Apparently the boosters have already completely tortured everyone, or people in the same position as me have finally achieved their goal. Namely, my example, 14+ battles in a row I came across players who frankly did not want to play. Not on the team and not at all. And exactly in a row. As if on purpose. My team included people below level 30 who cheerfully fell into cliffs. Healers of 100+ levels who greeted the enemy and died, people of 300+ levels who do not need tanks or medics at all. Flying before your eyes A headlight that no one needs. My attempts to advise how to change were met with either silence or “you are noobs and it’s not up to you to advise me, I’m a widow and that’s it.” But I took my 4-5 gold. witness. In the last fight with him, I was furious with the number such In defeat, 5 people were shot by a soldier and called everyone - stand with me at the point/at the cart, we’ll capture it or take it faster, but it turned out to be easier for everyone to die alone. How to play seriously after such feelings or rise in rank is unclear. And for more than a month now, I’ve probably not taken any risks, I don’t appear in the rankings and I don’t want to appear. The losestrike is such that whether you put up a fight or not, your rank is removed very decently. And I'm not the only one. I checked. When I see that these streaks will be removed, I will think about it and maybe try to return to the league. On the Aikhenwald map, a new passage has been added, leading from the starting area of the attacking team to the capture point. Now it's easier to enter these damn gates Lucio they increased the damage by 25%, his healing became stronger by 30%, but the musical radius was reduced so that he was finally in the team, and not driving along walls somewhere, including acceleration or healing. I think she told me about all the new products. If I missed something, please correct me. Well, we are waiting for you in the game.

Four. One at the gate, one at the entrance to the corridor and two at the finish.

This means that I was mistaken in their number. It’s strange, because I’ve already gone through this brawl more than a hundred times. Apparently, while practicing field medicine, I did not pay enough attention to counting opponents, focusing primarily on the condition of my allies. Thanks for the clarification.

Finally, I waited for your blog on this event. It turned out, as always, high quality, detailed, exciting. It is clear that a lot of work has been done and a lot of effort has been invested. Well done!

I put McCree in second place after the Widow. The costume from his time in Blackwatch is very, very good. I don’t understand why he replaced it with some cowboy rags.

This is his combat suit, designed specifically for combat operations. After the fatal explosion at the headquarters in Switzerland and the subsequent collapse of the Overwatch squad, McCree went on the run. He wandered around the world for a long time in search of adventure and easy money, managed to screw up quite a bit, as a result of which he ended up on the international wanted list and attracted the close attention of the Kogot corporation, which set an astronomical fee on his head, so he would stand out from the crowd I didn't really want to.

There are only three of them, and these are not Orises at all, although they look similar to her in appearance, but OR-14 combat drones.

The OR-14 Idina series defense robots were created and commissioned by one of the largest Omnia in Nigeria before the Rise of the Machines. When the armistice came, they, like many other military models, were discontinued. Twenty years later, Numbani decided that it was necessary to protect the city from external threats, and resumed production of robots. However, the new OR-15 models did not last long - they were all destroyed when Doomfist attacked the city.
Shortly after this attack, the government decided to wind down the program and sell the remaining OR-15s. One of the buyers turned out to be the brilliant Ify Oladele, who at the age of eleven had already received an honorary grant from the Adave Foundation for her success in the study of robotics and artificial intelligence.
With her parents' approval, Ify spent most of her grant to purchase decommissioned OR-15 bots. It seemed to her that Numbani needed a protector and that an improved version of the OR-15 would fill this role perfectly. Ify redesigned the robot, changed its configuration and developed a personality matrix for it. Ify named the new hero of Numbani Orisa.
