According to their information, with the declared 50 Mbps, the SpeedTest counter shows 1-2-4 megabits. This greatly complicates even ordinary surfing, not to mention the comfortable viewing of online video.

"Playing games is just impossible"

- I live in a new building in the Uruchcha region. When I decided to connect the network, it turned out that Beltelecom has a monopoly on connecting the Internet in our house. The promises in the ad were tempting: 50/25 Mbps speed for 23 rubles per month.

It should be noted that for the entire time of use, it was possible to see the coveted 50 Mbps only once - at 4 o'clock in the morning, the rest of the time the speed fluctuated between 0.5-20 Mbps.

Playing online games over Wi-Fi is simply not possible. World of Tanks freezes a lot, at some point the signal disappears and when it reappears, the car is already hit or sinking somewhere in the river. The same mobile Internet from MTS, when connecting the phone to a laptop, worked much more stable.

Watching movies online is not always possible - in the evening from 18.00 to 21.00 it is better to turn on 480 pixels, 720p stops all the time. Moreover, I have a studio apartment with open space and the modem is in direct line of sight.

We clarified, and it turned out that she had a similar problem. The girl bought an apartment in a high-rise building at st. Nikolay Mikhailasheva, 1. In the house (as in previous new buildings) there is only Beltelecom.

When connecting, the master suggested that she choose the Yasna 50 Smart tariff, promising Internet at speeds up to 50 Mbps and “wireless TV”:

“However, it’s impossible to watch TV without a wire,” the girl said. - And technical support recommends pulling a wire to the TV at this tariff. Wi-Fi on the phone is so-so, not stable, but there. But the picture on TV is just sadness.

We turned to Beltelecom for the provider to comment on the situation and advise subscribers on what to do in such cases.

Here is what the operator said on the method of assessing the speed:

- The Internet access speed can be assessed by the subscriber independently using the network resource test.byfly.by or by calling a Beltelecom specialist.

In both cases, the speed check is carried out cable connection only when connecting a personal computer, laptop to the RUE Beltelecom modem, since the speed of Internet access via Wi-Fi depends on a number of factors that the telecom operator cannot influence.

In addition, the operator recalled the features of the propagation of a wireless signal:

— Significant impact on signal propagation (Internet access speed) over Wi-Fi has the location of the modem in the apartment, the thickness and material of the walls.

When several devices are connected to the modem via Wi-Fi, the total speed will be distributed between them, taking into account the actions performed by users and the priorities they have set (watching videos, surfing the Internet, downloading various programs and files, online games). In this review, I will not describe such aspects as "low speed", "errors", this has long been known to everyone. I will write about how technical support will solve your problem and, of course, will not solve it.

In no case has the support been up to the task. They speak exclusively by memorized phrases, which sometimes have nothing to do with the question asked. I also note that all the problems that I encountered were on the side of the provider, not the client.

They turned to them far more than once, there was even a case when a person on the wire asked "is the computer plugged in?", "maybe it's not turned on, come and check", "maybe your modem is turned off?", "or maybe you haven't connected to the Internet?"... That is, the person gave out completely absurd phrases, just like in memes! I used to think that these expressions can only be found in jokes or on the Internet, unfortunately this joke turned out to be more than real. They don’t want to do anything, they don’t know anything, and for excuses they say standard memorized expressions.

The last case of contacting technical support caused a shock. There was no problem as such. At night, the money on the Internet ran out, and he was needed for work. Without the Internet, Internet banking does not work; therefore, it is unrealistic to pay for services with a card. It was decided to take the promised payment on the Beltelecom website, which works without paying for the Internet.

There is an old and a new version on the Beltelecom website at the entrance to the user's account. The old version of the cabinet does not provide the required service. The new version did not work at that moment, since technical work was carried out in this section of the site and it was indicated that you should visit later. I was interested in the question of the promised payment, since the necessary section of the site was not working, and also to find out when the technical work was over, whether it was worth waiting or making the payment in the morning.

I called tech support and explained the situation. It's funny to hear the phrase at 2 o'clock in the morning "Good morning" from the worker, apparently he just woke up. They asked for a contract number. The number of the contract was dictated four times, but the so-called "specialist" replied that such a thing does not exist! Further, for incomprehensible purposes, the "specialist" asked how many digits the password consists of ... Interestingly, from the fact that he finds out the number of password characters, the technical work on the site will stop or the Internet will pay for itself?

Then the most interesting began. This individual asked in which connector I have a network cable connected. Apparently he decided that this information affects the technical work on the site and they will be faster. Naturally, he did not receive an answer, since this has nothing to do with the issue of payment and technical work on one section of the site (not on all, only on one). He was also told that there was no access to the modem, it was filled with furniture and I physically could not see which connector the network cable was connected to. It was especially funny to hear "hire a wizard who will look into which connector the cable is connected" . It's funny, in his opinion, I had to somehow call the master at 2 o'clock in the morning, so that he would move the furniture to me and look into which connector the cable was connected and this would help the technical work on the site? The nonsense from the lips of this "specialist" did not end there.

I also note that the error number was not important to him, since I asked a question "Can you tell me the error number?" to which he replied "the error number is not needed, which connector is the cable connected to?" . For this conversation, the phrase sounded at least 10 times, for the second conversation at least 20. No answer was received to the main question, the conversation was absolutely useless, it was decided to try to call back after some time, choosing another point of the problem when calling in the hope that an adequate specialist would answer .

They called back again. An adequate specialist did not answer, the same man was on the line and still with the same stupid question.

Question "what does the connector through which the cable is connected to pay and technical work?" got the same ill-fated answer "Which connector is the cable connected to?".

Per phrase "I have two devices working on Wi-Fi, and one from a network cable" , a response was received, "what connector is the cable connected to? The site does not work via Wi-Fi, connect via cable" . It seemed that the individual on the wire did not listen to what was said to him at all, and was also completely incompetent, stating that the site does not work over wifi. But the fact is that my site works fine, both on Wi-Fi and on the network, only technical work is underway in the new version of the office! The specialist does not care about the problem, he continues to pester me with the phrase "Which connector is the cable connected to?".

Question "Do you know what is the difference between the first and second connector?" he replied "they are the same". Despite this, he still continued to fool his head.
Question "they are the same, then why do you need this information?" he replied "Which connector is the cable connected to?".
Per phrase "let's say the first one, what else do you say?" he replied "you didn't look in which connector the cable is connected, I can't advise you further, look in which connector the cable is connected".

My attempts to explain that the technical work that is being carried out on one section of the site will not disappear in any review and I will not get money on the Internet from the fact that he finds out which of the same connectors the cable is connected to, did not lead to anything. The only thing he gave "go to the information kiosk or ATM and pay or call the wizard". According to this "specialist", I had to walk at two in the morning to the other end of the city in order to pay through an ATM or call the master to pay me the Internet?

This man was utter nonsense and absolutely did not understand the elementary essence of the problem. I needed to find out when the technical work would end, and not ruffle my nerves, listening to the utter heresy from the tech support side. "Specialist" does not understand what is at stake. The complete absence of not only logic, but also adequacy.

Apparently the only thing that the technical support of this provider is capable of is to do the usual thing - to fool people with memorized phrases "turn on the button on the modem" or "plug in your computer". It seems that people from the street are recruited for work, the main requirement for which is "so that the computer can be turned on and the program can be opened."

The office on the site was up and running by the morning. Was it really so difficult to say when the technical work would end? If you don’t know, then answer like that, and don’t give out funny phrases from the category of memes on the Internet, don’t connect the network cable on my computer to the technical work on your site.

It is a pity that you can not rate "0", as "1" is too much for such a disgusting service and professionals working to unhook.

  2. It must also be plugged into an outlet.
  3. A network cable must go from the modem to the system unit, a light should be on or flashing next to the input
  4. This is, in general, all that is needed

To do this, we go to the Internet Explorer browser (it is standard, it is always present in Windows), and the correct display in other browsers is not guaranteed, even more so, often some settings are not available in them. So, we use only Explorer.

To check the connection with the modem, we should go to it, it is done like this - in the address bar of Explorera we write the following numbers: 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 (sometimes they may differ, plus often they are written on the modem itself at the bottom).

Create a connection

Sometimes the factory settings of the M200a ADSL modem, set in the default firmware, can lead to constant failures in the Internet. slow connection and Internet operation, breaks during the session when using a WiFi connection.
