The big pallet chicken coop was originally conceived as a wooden shed, so I don't have the initial stages of construction in the photos.

For this option, you will need 22 pallets. Please note that it is better to use pallets that are the same size in order to build quickly and easily. Although, other sizes of pallets can be used on the side walls. You just have to customize them.

The dimensions of the most common pallets are 120 by 80 cm. We take any pallets: simple and euro ones will do.

• Back wall - 8 pallets.
• Side walls - 4 pallets.
• Front wall - 6 pallets.

Walls

I didn't do any foundation. There is a flat area with a chicken coop.

Windows and doors

Important!Siding is panels made from wood waste (shavings) pressed under high pressure using special resins. The material does not absorb moisture, does not burn and does not require additional care. Its service life is at least 15 years.

14. Install a window in the south wall.
15. Sheathe the walls with siding or other material. If boarding is used, then it is necessary to insulate the walls and roof of the structure.
16. Cover the floor from pallets with sheet material (chipboard or other boards).

Technology two

Scheme of building a chicken coop on a columnar foundation:

1. Dig a recess under the foundation (depth about 20 cm).
2. Install the base pillars from pipes for the columnar foundation.
3. Pour the pillars inside with concrete, in which reinforcement is installed for attaching the lower trim of the chicken coop.
4. Around the pillars are also reinforced with concrete.
5. Fill the rest of the space around them with a sand-gravel mixture.
6. Lay roofing material on the poles as a waterproofing and a beam of the lower trim. For fastening, holes are drilled in it and put on the reinforcement.
7. On the harness, attach corner posts made of timber and lay logs for the floor.
8. Attach pallets to the floor with self-tapping screws and cover with roofing material, and then with plywood.
9. The walls are made, as in the previous version, from pallets. In this case, the first is attached to the corner post, then the second is added to it, and so on along the entire length of the wall.
10. When creating a wall, an opening is provided for installing a door and mounting a window.
11. The door can be made from part of a pallet and put on hinges. Similarly, you can install a window - from a glazed frame on hinges.
12. Perform wall cladding with siding.
13. At the top of the structure, make a wooden strapping. She has 2 tasks: additional strengthening of the structure and a base for fixing the roof slab.
14. Fill the floor boards on the strapping and pull the roofing material. From above, carry out the installation of pallets and cover the structure with slate.
