How to arrange a garden plot. Successful cottage: ideas for landscaping the site

Nowadays, the topic of landscaping a personal plot is especially relevant. Most citizens, tired of the bustle of megacities, are increasingly striving to be closer to nature and acquire houses in the village for this purpose. And what is a rural house without land? In fact, he is needed for him.

It is so nice to sit quietly in silence in a shady corner of the garden or work in the beds and get away from office problems, so that later you can please yourself and your loved ones with the products of your gardening. But in order to bring all this to life, you need to properly organize the area around the country house, and for this you need to know certain nuances of this process, which is not so easy as it seems at first glance.

Peculiarities

Before you begin work on the improvement of the suburban area, it is necessary to draw up a project. To do this, it is not at all necessary to contact a landscape designer, although if funds allow and the area of \u200b\u200bthe territory to be equipped is large enough, then you can choose this option.

The volume and nature of works on the arrangement of the territory depends primarily on the size of the site. It is one thing to plan the location of objects and landscaping of 4-10 acres of land, on which half of the area is occupied by a house, and it is quite another to correctly arrange a large plot of 10-20 acres or more. This will require significantly greater financial, labor and time costs.

fencing

If the site does not yet have a fence or the existing fence does not suit the owners, then you should carefully consider what it should be. Of course, massive fences with brick or stone pillars look more attractive, between which there can be a fence made of wooden, metal or forged elements. But this is a rather expensive pleasure, not available to every owner.

In such situations, you can turn to the usual picket fence, wattle or just a mesh fence. To give greater attractiveness and increase the reliability of light fences, medium-sized ornamental shrubs (lilac, thuja, vesicle, deren, juniper) or fruit trees (hawthorn, honeysuckle), all kinds of climbing plants (ivy, wild grapes, climbing roses, clematis, etc.) . P.

Zoning

Dividing the territory of a personal plot into zones and linking them together is one of the most important stages of landscape design.

As a rule, the site includes the following standard functional areas:

  • entrance territory;
  • recreation area;
  • place for placement of outbuildings;
  • garden and vegetable garden area;
  • playground.

The number and nature of allocated zones may vary depending on the lifestyle of the dacha life of the owners, whether they have children, animals, and the size of the plot. So, for example, in small areas, several zones can be combined into one in order to save space.

The front or entrance area is the hallmark of a country house. Usually it is a square-shaped area and about 6% of the entire territory is allocated for it. Since the main task of this zone is to provide entry and exit, then it is good if parking for cars and a path leading to a residential building are organized on this site.

The main road should have a width of about one and a half to two meters, so that several people can easily move along it at the same time.

Garden design elements are usually placed along the fence adjacent to the entrance area. Near the fence from the side of the street, it is quite possible to arrange a flower bed of flowering plants, which will set the tone and mood for the main entrance to the site. Along the fence, both outside and inside the territory along the edge of the entrance zone, you can plant low varieties of arborvitae, ornamental pines and firs, or climbing roses.

The recreation area is more hidden from the eyes, it is accessed from time to time, so the functional load on it is less pronounced. 10-15% of the territory is usually allocated to this zone. Here they build a gazebo, arrange a patio, a terrace, or simply decorate a barbecue area with a place for eating and cooking.

When choosing a place to stay, you should proceed from the fact that it should be located:

  • as comfortable as possible relative to the main house, since the owners of the house and their guests will relax here, friendly and family dinners will be arranged here, and this implies a certain movement between the recreation area and the residential building, which should be quite convenient;
  • away from the entrance area to the site and mainly behind the residential building, in order to provide the necessary level of privacy and freedom from prying eyes;
  • in a place where the most attractive scenery opens up, so that nothing can spoil the enjoyment of outdoor recreation.

Outbuildings should be located in such a way that:

  • Movement between them and the main building was extremely convenient;
  • These buildings were in harmony with the residential building, did not distract attention and did not block the view of it;
  • They could be hidden using various decorative techniques (fencing with pergolas with climbing plants, planting ornamental shrubs).

Equally important for many summer residents is the presence of a zone for growing vegetables, berries and fruits. For these purposes, it is permissible to allocate up to ¾ of the entire plot, but it all depends on the preferences of the owners. For some, even this space may not seem enough, but someone does not like to mess around in the garden at all and prefers to have a couple of beds with green crops that do not require care.

The garden zone is usually placed in open, unshaded areas. If the household area is small, then the garden and vegetable garden should be decorated in such a way that they do not spoil, but only decorate the site even more.

The play and entertainment area is a must for families with children. It can be of any shape and area, depending on the number of babies. When arranging this territory, it is necessary to proceed from the following:

  • The playground should be safe and comfortable for the little members of the family;
  • It should be placed in such a way that from anywhere in the garden you can see what the children are doing;
  • The surface of the site should not be hard (sand or grass);
  • The location of the play area should be sunny, but with areas of shade;
  • As children grow up, it should be possible to subsequently transform the children's zone into some other one (garden, recreation area, lawn, pond or something else).

The given set of zones of the suburban area is far from exhaustive. Each owner plans the territory based on their own needs. For example, you can equip a place for sports training, an area for walking pets, etc. on the site.

Tracks

All garden areas should be interconnected by paths, which should be planned in such a way as to ensure convenient movement around the territory, depending on the need.

A more harmonious and well-groomed view of the landscape is provided by the construction of paths made of stone or tiles. Despite the fact that this type of decoration is quite expensive, nevertheless, the result is worth it. Instead of stone, you can also use pebbles, crushed stone, sand or bricks.

The easiest option for arranging tracks is with the help of sand. First, the boundaries of the paths are marked with ropes, then the top layer of soil is removed, crushed stone is poured, and sand mixed with stone crumbs is poured on it. All layers are rammed and a curb is installed along the edges of the track. In order to optically highlight such a path and make it more decorative, flowering plants are planted along it.

The option of organizing concrete paths is simple. You can line the paths with ready-made concrete slabs, or you can pour the base with your own hands. This improvement option makes it possible to make paths of various, including original forms. The preparatory work is carried out the same as in the variant with sand, the difference is in the installation of formwork along the edges. The solution is poured onto the prepared base.

If desired, imitation of masonry can be performed on a concrete surface.

Green spaces

When choosing plants for a site, it is necessary to take into account the type of soil, the location of a particular plant (sun or shade), climatic conditions (how cold winters are). Otherwise, all efforts for planting and nursing them can be reduced to zero when, due to frost or high humidity, the plants simply die.

No backyard area can do without a lawn. A beautiful lawn can attract attention both as an independent element of landscape decor and as part of the overall composition of the garden. Against its background, all kinds of compositions of trees, shrubs, flowers, as well as decorative elements (vases, fountains, sculptures) look great.

Lawn can be grown from seed or purchased in rolls. Anyway, when choosing it, it is necessary to take into account the conditions in which it will grow. Currently, you can buy different types of lawns - for shady places, resistant to drought or trampling.

Trees in decorating the landscape of the garden play the role of its original columns, turning into vaults - this is a vertical decoration of the territory, which provides the garden with the necessary shade and delicate aroma during the flowering period.

When planting trees, be sure to take into account what size they can reach. So large trees are best used for large scale areas.

In a small area, only one such plant can be planted, and the rest of the trees should be of medium size.

Shrubs on a personal plot are a kind of wall. They are planted in rows, used to create complex compositions or in a single landing. Rows of shrubs can serve as a hedge on the site or reliably hide outbuildings, which can sometimes spoil the appearance of the territory.

The most colorful option for decorating a garden is a flower bed. You can find a place for it even in a very small area. Thanks to properly selected plants, it is possible to ensure its decorative effect and multicolor throughout the summer season.

Lighting

Proper lighting will help make the area around the country house attractive and functional, not only during daylight hours, but also at night.

Lighting requires the main paths, the entrance area, the area around the residential building. Also, for a decorative purpose, you can highlight some plant compositions, fountains, sculptures, and other objects.

If it is not possible to lay electricity throughout the site, you can use lighting devices that are powered by solar panels.

Styles

Landscaping a site is not only about correctly distributing space into zones, laying paths between them, planting trees and shrubs, and creating flower beds. It is very important that all these events are carried out in a single style direction. Without this, the garden will not be perceived as completely finished, there will always be something missing.

To prevent this from happening, it is necessary to adhere to one of several styles of organizing landscape space, whether it is a small plot or a large estate.

The following styles are distinguished:

  • English or landscape suggest a transition from the correct strict forms in favor of natural natural lines. Reservoirs, winding paths, the predominance of silver and green tones, a minimum of man-made objects will be appropriate here;
  • French style or regular. Here, more emphasis is placed on artificial forms: strict straight alleys, symmetrical plant ensembles, round arbors with columns, sculptures, evenly trimmed trees and shrubs;
  • Country does not imply the use of clear rules in the arrangement of the territory. It is simple and natural, therefore it is suitable for any areas, both wide and elongated. In the arrangement of the site, wood, stone, metal, vine, fruit trees, medicinal herbs are used. Pitchers, old wheels, logs, tubs serve as decorative elements.

For many of our compatriots, with the phrase "summer cottage" involuntarily, a picture appears before their eyes with an endless number of tomato and cucumber beds, an old shed for inventory and a gazebo inherited from the previous owners of the land. Meanwhile, modern resources and magazines beckon us with beautiful photos of landscape design projects, where the design of every centimeter of the local area or garden is thought out to the smallest detail. The Russian landowner (even the smallest plot) also wants to see his territory beautiful, well-groomed, inviting greenery and the opportunity to relax in the shade in the fresh air. But at the same time, we are not ready to refuse beds with greens, the opportunity to pick ripe vegetables right for a family dinner. Is it possible to combine the practical benefits of growing vegetables, fruit trees and greenery with the beauty of landscape design? Of course, even on a tiny plot of land, sheltered between the fences of private houses on narrow city streets, you can create your own green oasis for outdoor recreation. It will take some effort, but the task is quite doable. We hope that an impressive selection of projects created in a variety of territorial conditions will help you be inspired to exploits in your own garden or backyard.

We draw up a detailed plan

Whether you own a tiny piece of land near your city dwelling or are the proud owner of a huge plot outside the city, the first thing you need to start creating the garden of your dreams is to draw up a detailed plan. Of course, the original plan is not a dogma carved in stone, it can be changed in detail, but the main points must be spelled out (drawn) clearly. Without a specific plan for what exactly you want to see on your site, you can waste time, money and effort. For some, it is important to be able to admire flowering flower beds and sit in the shade of fruit trees, others are more interested in growing vegetables and the opportunity to fry meat over a fire in their own yard or any other local area.

On paper or in a special program, place the main objects of your site - buildings, recreation areas, a sector for cooking on fire, a dining area, a playground, a greenhouse or greenhouse, a gazebo or a canopy. It all depends on your preferences and area of the site. Next, you need to mark the location of the flower beds and planting trees. Depending on the passage of groundwater, the location of the site in relation to the cardinal points and landscape features, choose planting trees already at the planning stage. The same applies to flower beds, beds - it is better to know in advance which plants (sun-loving or preferring shady and humid areas) you will plant in them. It is better to spend time at the initial stage than to face the need to transplant or even cut down already grown plants that simply do not have enough sun.

Next, you will need to outline the location of garden paths. These are not easy landscape design elements that help the owners get from one sector of the site to another. Paths help to zone the site, distribute functional segments and create an orderly layout of the territory. Not to mention the fact that it is extremely difficult to get from one corner of the site to another in slushy weather without properly designed paths.

Depending on the budget for the landscape design of your site, its size, the presence of buildings and the material for their execution, garden paths can be laid out:

  • stone (plate);
  • pebbles;
  • fine gravel;
  • brick;
  • paving stones;
  • paving slabs;
  • concrete slabs;
  • tree.

Many summer residents may decide that laying out garden paths is a waste of time and money. After all, many have their own childhood memories of their grandmother's garden, where there were no stone or brick paths, and the potatoes grew excellent. But garden paths are not only the aesthetic appearance of your site, but also safety, weed control, zoning of segments with different crops.

Stone garden paths look solid and respectable. Of course, the cost of the material may frighten the Russian gardener, but such paths will last a long time. If you have natural stone from buildings, facade cladding or fence construction, then stone garden paths are your option.

Owners of sites with brick buildings do not even have to puzzle over the choice of material for the execution of tracks. Paving bricks are cheaper than building bricks and can serve longer as a floor for walking. Well, the harmonious appearance of your personal plot is guaranteed.

One of the cheapest options for organizing safe movement around the site is bulk gravel. The only thing to consider is that consumables will need more than usual, because. gravel shrinks a lot during use. And yet, gravel is not very suitable for a large area with a central alley; it is ideal for small paths between flower beds and beds.

Another fairly durable option for organizing garden paths is the use of concrete products. With the help of ready-made concrete slabs or blanks for pouring, it is possible to create paths of any shape and size, undulating and straight, wide and narrow. In hardware stores, you will see many options for pouring shapes - from round, triangular and polyhedral to asymmetric products. You can not just lay out the track, but create your own, absolutely unique drawing.

Of course, the material for laying out garden paths can be combined. For example, the boundaries of the paths (like low curbs) can be laid out with stone or brick, and the main part can be covered with gravel. Thus, the boundaries of the paths will be clear, and money will be saved. If you put large pebbles as a base or concrete slabs, and tamp fine gravel around them, you get a practical and beautiful garden path.

If we talk about the location of the beds in the territory in front of the house or in the garden, then globally you have two options - the use of dug or raised flower beds. Excavated beds can be fenced with stones. Bricks, wooden boards - so your flower beds will get clear boundaries and additional protection from weeds.

Raised beds are very popular in the courtyards of Europeans. These garden techniques began to be actively used among our compatriots. A raised flower bed can be fenced with boards, stones, bricks, or any material at hand. It all depends on your budget and expectations for the life of the structures - whether you want to use them only for a season or the products should last longer.

On sale there are ready-made vessels for the formation of beds. As a rule, they are presented in round or oval shapes and are made of thin sheets of stainless steel. This is a practical, relatively inexpensive and aesthetic way to organize beds or flower beds for planting plants, even in conditions far from the possibility of growing greens and vegetables in open ground.

Even a small area can be decorated with elements that do not take up much space. A beautiful arch or pergola can serve not only as a decoration for your landscape, but also as a support for climbing plants.

Examples of organizing a "green corner" in urban environments

Among the city noise and bustle, the abundance of glass and concrete, the lack of contact with nature is especially acute. The desire to get their own small green oasis among gray concrete slabs is pushing many citizens even to build a greenhouse on the roof of an apartment building. Nothing is impossible. You can organize a place for outdoor recreation on two square meters of land or a terrace. If at the same time you do not forget about the possibility of growing fresh greens for the table in small raised flower beds or even garden tubs, then you can get not only a patio, but also a mini-garden right in the middle of the urban concrete jungle.

Even on the roof of the house, you can organize a cozy green patio for spending time outdoors, including weeding beds or mowing a small lawn. Of course, no one talks about planting fruit trees (even dwarf varieties) in huge tubs, but small flower beds or beds with greenery can be organized literally “from scratch”.

Raised flower beds are best suited for garden beds or small flower beds on a rooftop, terrace, or just a modest piece of land. You can build them using stone, wooden boards (you can use pallets or pallets left over from building materials) or improvised materials (tin sheets, old barrels).

A "living" or green wall is an opportunity to organize a corner for relaxing in the shade of plants for those who do not have a place to plant in the soil at all. Of course, creating and maintaining a vertical flower bed with plants is not an easy task, requiring more time and effort than an ordinary flower garden. But an incredibly beautiful, stylish and original building will pay off all investments with its appearance.

Moving "to a house in the country" for the summer, its owner wants to improve the quality of country life as soon as possible. A beautiful garden with plants and flowers helps to create a country atmosphere. But what if there is neither time nor desire for daily care for the beauties of nature? Landscape design experts told the RIA Real Estate website how to create a natural corner in your own garden without significant financial and time costs.

It is right to start designing a summer cottage from the creation of a draft plan for the future landscape, experts at Dmitry Bochkov's landscape studio advise. Thus, you will save yourself time and money in the long run, as you will insure yourself against mistakes and hasty actions in the work.

Another principle for creating a "lazy" country patio is less lawn, more tiles.

Whether you make a paved patio with a dining table, a patio with a grill area, or an outdoor hearth with cozy benches all around, it will be a durable surface that never needs to be weeded or watered. For this, paving stones, bricks or decorative stone are suitable. However, you can also choose bluish sandstone, a natural stone that, despite its name, comes in a variety of colors (blue grey, blue, brown gray and orange). This is a more expensive option, however, its dense composition makes it incredibly durable. For less expensive paving, consider crushed stone, such as pea (sea) gravel or white stone.

If you plan to equip a patio on the site, take care of a solid foundation in advance: there should be a solid foundation under the stone surface, Bochkov's studio advises. To do this, sea gravel is poured under the site in a dense layer 15-20 cm thick. It will prevent the growth of weeds and maintain the level of the patio at the desired height.

Place a cushion of mulch around the outdoor seating area instead of a lawn. This is one of the best investments for your garden, says Bochkov. Mulch made from organic material (wood chips, pine needles, straw) breaks down to fertilize plants, suppress weed growth, maintain moisture, stabilize soil temperature, and much more. Mulch does not require special attention to maintenance, except perhaps replacement in the spring. An additional bonus is the natural woody-coniferous aroma that it spreads throughout the territory. However, if you want to save yourself the hassle of renewing your organic mulch every year, replace it with sea gravel or river rock.

If you close the open space between young plantings with mulch, then first cover the ground with non-woven agromaterial (geotextile) - thanks to this barrier, you will forget about weeds for several seasons.

The surest way to get frustrated with gardening is to bite off more than you can chew. So it is best to start with small garden corners, while the rest of the areas can be planted with grass and just mowed regularly.

Small gardens are easy to manage, and by starting on a small scale, you'll quickly learn the basics of gardening, such as weed control, pest and disease control, and watering requirements, without being overwhelmed by taking care of your garden. As you develop more confidence and skills, you will expand your planting area.

Gardens with a predominance of woody plants, mostly conifers, look good even when they are no longer looked after at all.

The modern assortment of conifers is so diverse in colors (all shades of green, blue and silver, golden and variegated) that you can create a garden from conifers alone. Place dwarf varieties in flower beds. Create plantings of conifers (thuya, juniper) around the perimeter of your home to mask the foundation. Choose tall, columnar trees to create secluded areas in the yard.

Use "creeping" varieties for soil cover (horizontal juniper, microbiota). To avoid long-term care, preference should be given to the slowest growing varieties. It is best to choose varieties of virgin, Chinese and middle junipers, prickly and European spruce, Scots, mountain and black pine.

In the "lazy" garden, preference should be given to decorative leafy plants (spirea, derain, snowberry, bush willows, cinquefoil, cotoneaster, lilac, vesicle), advise landscape designers of the studio "Pervotsvet" Yulia Minyushina and Alexandra Kupriyanova.

Flowering in the garden can be diluted with perennials (hostas, yarrows, girlish grapes, geyhers, phloxes, daylilies, peonies, irises, lupins, bluebells) these flowers do not require much care. Remember, flowering shrubs need care in pruning faded inflorescences.

© Landscape studio "Pervotsvet"The main problem of the garden is weeds, their removal takes the most part of the time. But this can be avoided. “Now there is a large selection of decorative bark of larch, pine, you can also use cones, pine nut shells, pebbles, marble chips, they are of different sizes and colors. The main thing is not to overdo it with the amount of mulch and decorative stone,” say the specialists of the Primrose studio ".

Not enough space doesn't mean not enough ideas! We will show you how to turn it into a delightful place to relax and give it the appearance of a respectable garden.

The secret to a successful small garden design lies in the design: come up with an interesting idea around which to build the entire space, while making the most of the features. It is also important to maintain all the elements in the same style and in the same color scheme - only then the overall appearance of the site will be harmonious.

1. "Color move"

Plant in different parts of the plot plants of two or three soothing shades, in harmony with one another. The overlapping purple bushes, as in the photo, the first in the foreground, the second in the background, visually increase the space.

2. Supports for plants

Proven Design - create perspective. It is optimal if the entire area is not visible at once. Make sure that the beauties open gradually, as you move deeper into the garden. To do this, use special partitions:,.

Left: Green-covered plant supports such as pergolas create vertical structures and whimsical shadow play - the space becomes voluminous. A low hedge also divides the site into two parts.

On right: An optical illusion is created by a lattice for, designed as if it is not flat, but three-dimensional.

The dimensions of absolutely all design elements, such as a flower arch, must be proportional to the size of the garden. Otherwise, there will be a feeling of disharmony.

3. Winding paths are our allies

They help create the illusion of a large garden. After all, the path behind the turn is really intriguing: you walk along it and do not know where the boundaries of the garden are and what other beauties are hidden around the turn.

Left: The path around the corner is truly intriguing.Right: Several narrow paths lead to a secluded place to rest under the trees. A special charm of this corner of the garden is given by two boxwood bushes, marking the entrance to this area.

Publications will help you plan garden paths and choose materials for their arrangement:

4. All roads lead ... to the center of the garden

Moreover, the space between the trails is occupied by plants - only a corner for relaxation remains open. Thanks to such techniques, the illusion of the scale of the garden is preserved.

An indispensable thing on the site! The glazed part can be used as a mini-greenhouse. And in the house itself there is a place to store garden supplies, and even - a little space, a lot of use!

6. Mini-alley of birches with beautiful white trunks

13. Mirror effect

In a small area, you can even place a decorative one. It is clear that the reservoir will be small, but even this will contribute to the desired optical focus. The calm water surface, like a mirror, reflects on its surface the sky, clouds and everything that is around the pond. Thanks to this effect, the garden seems larger than it really is. The elongated rectangular shape of the reservoir also plays into the hands: this configuration visually lengthens the site.

In a small garden, geometric shapes look great: a square, a rectangle and a circle. Elements of such configurations bring order and clarity to the structure of the entire garden plot - whether

Each owner of a dacha wants to decorate it, to do something unique. The easiest way is to go to the Home Goods store and choose the accessories you like.

If the owner of the cottage wants to see a place of rest different from others, you will have to rely on your own strength and make items to ennoble the site with your own hands. Then, in addition to beauty and aesthetics, he will also receive joy from creativity.

Making the site unique - ideas for interesting crafts

All summer residents are able to pick up original ideas for decorating the site. Most often, it is enough to use the things and means at hand for this, and make a little effort and material costs. There will be outdated furniture and other unnecessary items that need to be creative.

It would be useful to recall long-abandoned things in the form of unnecessary furniture, old toys, empty containers, worn-out car tires, remnants of building materials, etc. Country crafts from such things are the most interesting and best of all decorate the site!

Making a summer cottage is impossible without beautiful flower beds. Your flower arrangements can be diversified by adding old containers: barrels, pots, carts. The construction of original fences around flower beds will make them intricate and interesting.

If you add artfully designed ones made of timber or stone to the decoration of flower beds on your site, this will add originality.

Many masters of country design use plastic containers for the construction of sculptures, accessories for flower beds, borders. Fantasy in this area is limitless.

Before starting work, you need to think carefully about the idea to get the desired result. Plastic is easy to cut, giving it the intended shape. It is suitable for making figurines from fairy tales. It will be especially impressive if you paint them with bright colors.

In the country interior it will be not only a beautiful item, but also useful. The children will have an object for observation, and the birds will have a permanent dining room. For her there is improvised material.

A lot of work will not require the production of various figures from polymer clay, polyurethane foam, gypsum, capable of creating comfort and originality in the country. It is enough to wake up fantasy, and design solutions will come by themselves.

Having a glass cutter on hand will help you work with glass bottles. They make interesting pots or candle holders.

Bottle caps, plastic packaging of chocolate eggs are suitable for creating unusual compositions.

It would be nice to arrange a small pond in the country, surrounding it with flower beds, sculptures, crafts. As a decoration, you can complement it with an elegant bridge.

Unnecessary car tires after painting will become a platform for flower beds or material for carving figures.

Arrangement of the play area

Children can be given not just a territory for playing, but also to equip the playing area with comfort. All children will be happy. For them, simple boards, ropes are enough. Metal chains and the same painted tires will do. The remains of building materials will become a slide, old furniture will turn into rocking chairs.

The kids love to play in the sandbox. They will be delighted with colorful borders made from bottles or wooden scraps. The sandbox can be given an interesting shape and protected from sunlight. One of the options with a slide is shown in the photo below.

Another creative country idea is a wooden house. If the guys get at their disposal a small house, especially furnished with furniture, there will be no end to the delight. They themselves fantasize about its decoration.

Decoration of flower beds and flower beds

When breaking, you should consider the selection of colors. On each of them, you need to identify 3-4 main types of plants, this idea will allow you to color the flower bed, giving it an interesting look.

Adding ornamental grasses and plants with beautiful leaves will decorate the flower bed not only in combination with flowers, but also during the period of non-blooming. It is important to know the measure and not to plant flower beds with too many types of flowers.

One correct choice of colors will not be enough. Flower beds and flower beds need to be decorated. Old tires, hives, a cart, a wheelbarrow, even a car body will come in handy. It is important to think over their placement and make everything harmonious. The carved figures of bees, butterflies, stuffed animals will also fit in.

Enclosing flower beds with low fences, made in the author's version, will only add originality to the summer cottage.

How to arrange a fence in the country?

The idea to enclose your site not just with a fence, but to come up with an individual business card, as it were, will allow you to avoid the banality in the form of ordinary wooden or iron fences. If no other option works, you can even apply fantasy to them.

Decor items to create an interesting and unique design can be attached flower pots, catchy crafts, decorated decorations on the surface of the fence.

Creative imagination will figure out how to use old rubber boots, discs to give the fence an effect.

Climbing plants along the fence will also create their own charm. You can buy ornamental plants with fast growing times. If you plant creepers that are slowly growing, you won’t have to regret either - they look more colorful. And the best choice would be wild grapes.

Arrangement of the "relaxation" zone

Adults also want to have a cozy place in their summer cottage to enjoy the fresh air to the fullest. So, it is necessary to think over the arrangement of the recreation area. The choice of elements for her will be prompted by the tastes of the owners.

You can choose from options:

Shady area with table and chairs.

Constructed from surplus building materials. Hidden in the shade of trees or climbing plants, brightly colored, equipped with soft cushions on the benches, it will allow you to forget about the hustle and bustle of city life.

Brazier, most likely, will be needed. The easiest way would be with four walls and a bottom. Connect them by inserting the ends into the cuts made by the grinder, without using bolts and nuts. Such a collapsible brazier made of metal is very easy to assemble and disassemble.

Swing or let adults relax and even take a nap, this country house idea is simply a must for every site in the summer. It is better for them to make a wider swing than for children. The hammock can be hung from trees.

It is not difficult to arrange a pond on your own. Draw a contour according to the chosen shape, dig a pit along it, cover it with sand by 10 cm, fill the pond with water. It remains only to decorate the area around it as you wish.

When designing a summer cottage, follow the proverb “The eyes are afraid, but the hands are doing it!” Feel free to trust your imagination. Everyone will like to turn creative ideas into reality with their own hands.
