In all likelihood, the fly is also able to feed on any plant debris - leaves, grass, stem fibers, if they are sufficiently moistened and begin to rot, however, an explosive increase in the population does not occur.

What temperature do you like

In laboratory containers for breeding flies, a constant temperature of +25 degrees Celsius is maintained. It is known that when the temperature drops by 5-7 degrees, the development of the pupa slows down twice. And if the thermometer drops to +5 degrees, the fly loses activity and hibernates.

Why are they hard to destroy?

Under unfavorable conditions (and this is, first of all, the lack of food), adults die rather quickly - and then everything looks safe, we do not notice any traces of fruit flies in the apartment. But the larvae are much more persistent. Get rid of food supply
