What can be made from cans? A glass jar is an excellent base for creating a spectacular candle holder or a stylized oil lamp. Such decorations can be used in home decor or taken out for the holidays. It is very easy to make such a stylish little thing. All you need is kerosene, string and the jar itself, as well as some kind of sharp tool to make a hole in the lid. It is better to take the rope not ordinary, but the one that is used as a wick in ordinary candles. It burns longer and brighter. The jar is filled with kerosene by two thirds and closed with a lid. In kerosene, you need to lower the rope for about an hour so that it has time to soak. Then it remains only to insert the rope into the hole in the lid. Unusual oil lamp is ready.

Now many are fond of weaving from the "newspaper vine". Let's try using newspaper tubes or white paper tubes to decorate a coffee can. Do you know what weaving is? Let's start with the basics.

There are 4 types of weaving: a single rod, layered weaving, square, and “rope”.

Single rod - racks are braided with single rods, layered with a wall - all around.
Layered weaving - weaving with several rods, simultaneously for several racks. Moreover, they are directed as follows: the 1st rod - for the 1st rack, the 2nd - for the 2nd, the 3rd - for the 3rd, and so on. When the circle ends, then each tube goes to the next column - until the end of the entire bunch of tubes. Next comes a new similar layer, the ends are hidden inside the work.
Square weaving - the tube goes through 2 risers behind the 3rd until 10 cm remains until the end of the tube. We weave the 2nd tube on the right side of the 2nd riser. Working through 2 risers, we bring the end of the tube out, and so on. Weave such “square” rows to the desired height.
"Rope" - the tubes not only wrap around the risers, but also intersect with each other. “Rope” happens in 2,3,4, and so on - tubes.

Let's try to weave a small vase from a glass jar. To get started, a very simple tutorial. The tubes are usually twisted with the help of knitting needles (we take a newspaper, put the knitting needle on the corner, and twist it, then remove the knitting needle). Weave "rope".

For work you will need:

Cardboard.
PVA glue.
Scissors.
Newspaper tubes.
Acrylic paint.
Water based varnish.
Sponge or brush.

Cut out 2 circles from cardboard according to the diameter of your coffee can. On one circle with a pencil, draw notches at an equal distance of 2 cm from each other. There will be 17 tubes.

Glue the tubes and pour a little glue on top. We cover the top with a second circle, and put some kind of load - in order to better stick.

We bend the tube-racks up. Each tube must be brought under the next, and then up.

Weave in 2 tubes with a “string”.

We fix the racks on the bank with clothespins, so that it is more convenient to weave. We braid the bank.

We weave to the top of the jar, and finish the work in the form of a chain.

Another glass jar decor. Just as in the first case, you can braid a glass jar under a planter. That is, with the help of newspaper tubes, you can decorate a kitchen or a room with such a planter basket.
